The second day started like the day before, I woke up before everyone else. I did some morning exercises and went to the top deck to watch the sunrise while doing a little writing, or drawing. I was watching the sunrise and enjoying the warm weather when someone came up beside me.
"Is anyone sitting here?" The man asked, he was taller, tan with red eyes, long blue and purple hair. Wearing jeans and black t-shirt with sneakers. I also noticed an air of arrogance about him.
I nodded no, returning to my writing.
"Where are you heading?" The man asked.
"Spain. I have business to take care of. You?" I responded.
"Same place, I have family there. Are you traveling alone?"
"No. I am with my brother and some friends."
"That's nice. How about you let me get you a drink?"
"I appreciate the offer but I am going to have to decline."
I was so distracted with the stranger I didn't notice Kid walking up.
"Oh come on you're beautiful and no one says no to me." He started getting frustrated at this point.
"I said no." I fumed.
"You ok sis?" Kid asked, walking over with Liz and patty.
"I'm fine." I grumbled.
"Everything is fine, you can go away." The stranger added.
"Everything doesn't look fine." Kid responded sarcastically.
"You need to go away." The stranger seethed turning towards Kid.
"That sounds like a great idea, maybe you should leave. You haven't even introduced yourself." I added, trying not to punch him.
He turned back to me with shock in his eyes. Clearing his throat he responded.
"I am not leaving. My name is Kalvin Camble. What is your name? I almost forgot to ask."
I hesitated, not wanting to give into his terrible flirting.
"Grimoire."
"I am Death the kid." Kid chimed in, trying to break up the awkwardness.
"Cool, how about you leave us alone. Don't you see we are having a conversation. You are weird." He retorted.
Patty started laughing.
"It's your funeral after that."
He looked puzzled. I was even more annoyed.
"Please i just want some quiet, and if you insult my brother again it will not end well." I hissed.
"This is your brother?" Camble commented laughing.
"I can see the resemblance. He is weird and you are an idiot for not agreeing to a date with me." Camble continued.
Kid took a step forward. I nodded for him to stop.
"Kid, why don't you head down and join the others? I might be a little late to breakfast." I told him with a smile.
He nodded, grabbing Liz and Patty, to join the others.
"I am a meister and a strong one at that." Camble continued.
"You have a weapon partner?" I questioned.
"Yes. I am skilled with pot weapons. I am from the Western European branch of dwma. It's a school that helps weapons become death scythes. I have a death scythe. I am not to be messed with."
"I am aware of the school, yes."
"I graduated top of my class."
At some point during our conversation two girls joined us. Oozing overconfidence and smugness, both with long dark brown hair pulled up in ponytails, green eyes, one wearing a white crop top and black leggings with sneakers. The other was wearing a light blue crop top with navy leggings and boots.
"There you are girls. This is Grimoire, She disrespected me by turning me down."
"Oh, really? That's not smart." One remarked.
"Should we show her why it's a bad idea?" The other added.
"I would rather you didn't. Who are you?" I asked.
"I am Liana, this is Korin, we are the Helker sisters. Twin weapons." The one in the white top responded.
'They act the same way Liz and Patty did before Kid befriended them. They are itching for a fight.' I thought to myself.
"Well it was nice to meet all of you but i should get to the dining area, i am sure the rest of my group is going to be waiting for me." I insisted.
"Why not at least one drink?" Camble pressed again.
"I must decline again." I started to get up but got slightly light headed again.
'Why now.'
I noticed him give a nod to his friends, one changed into a gauntlet and they came at me. I smiled as I stopped them dead in their tracks. The look of surprise was fantastic.
"You are no ordinary traveler. This is going to be fun." Liana grumbled.
"I did tell your friend I was here on business. Now I am going to meet up with the rest of my team. Please leave me alone. The deck is crowded and I do not want to fight you." I responded by pushing her away from me.
Ignoring me she came at me again. I dodged with ease. She moved in slow motion compared to Stein.
"I am not fighting you!" I growled.
"Like hell you are! Girls, let's go." Camble ordered.
Korin changed back for a few seconds.
"You are going to see why we graduated top of our class." she smirked.
They both changed.
"You will learn not to turn me down." he raged, walking towards me.
"I am already in a relationship. I will turn you down over and over."
He paused for a second before running towards me. He was even slower. It was strange. I noticed Hatori watching the fight from the side.
"You are rather slow. Are you sure you graduated top of your class?"
"How dare you insult me!"
"You insulted my brother and I, and think i wouldnt insult you back? I know the school because I graduated top of my class too."
I held out my hand and manifested a sword. The look of shock was almost comical. He was not deterred. We went back and forth for a few minutes.
"I am getting tired of this," He said.
"With what? I didn't want to fight you in the first place!"
"You shouldnt be able to dodge so easily."
He is getting frustrated at this point. I sighed.
"I told you that I graduated from the top of my class as well. Now I am done fighting you." I responded.
I changed the sword to a scythe with a skull on the handle. He paused, not knowing how to respond.
"How are you doing that?" He questioned.
"I don't have to answer you, now leave me alone." I answered, turning around to leave.
He didn't bother listening and tried to come at me one more time. Hatori was about to step in and I motioned for him to stop, turning around. I made a gauntlet of my own, getting in one last punch sending Camble to the ground. The two turned back to normal.
"What did you do?" Liana asked.
"Relax. I didn't break anything, I did the same thing that he would have done to me had he been able to hit me." I responded.
I started coughing and getting light headed again. Hatori walked over, putting a hand on my shoulder.
"I think you are still having side effects from the gas and still sick." He mentioned.
I nodded. "Let's join the others."
