BATTLE OF JEALOUSY (Part 1)
In the very early hours of the morning
At Scott's and Wallace's Apartment
Scott and Ramona (Status: Sleeping together after their next date) were sleeping in Wallace's futon after their third date together. Wallace, of course, was reluctant to let Scott have the place with Ramona again for the night, though it was nothing a sip of a martini couldn't fix and hanging with his friends for the night couldn't fix. The two were fast asleep in bed with nothing to disturb them, only for a loud ringing noise to suddenly wake Scott up from his slumber to his annoyance (He hates when that happens). He looked over Ramona to see that the phone was ringing, prompting him to pick it up immediately.
"H-Hello...?" He groggily answered, wondering who could be calling him at an early hour. "Hi Scott!" A female voice, sounding pretty old, said to him with enthusiasm. "M-Mom...?" Scott asked, surprised to hear his mother's (Name: Mrs. Pilgrim. Status: Abroad currently with her husband) voice after a good while. "How are you doing? Guess where me and your father are!" Scott's mother exclaimed, the tone of which had caused Ramona to wake up gently. "Lemme guess...in Europe? Or am I wrong?" Scott groaned a little. "Good guess Scott. Your father and I are actually in Rome, Italy." Scott's mother responded.
Not wanting to disturb the conversation, Ramona went back to sleep. "So anyway, how are you, Scott?" She then asked her son as he rubbed his eyes. "Doing pretty ok so far." Scott answered back while rolling his eyes. "I was told by your sister that you had a girlfriend. Is that true?" Hearing this from his mother (Scott's Note: Stacey probably told her already...great.), Scott felt embarrassed by his own parents. "Y-Yeah, what's it to you?" He responded back. "Is she cute? Your father wants to know if she's cute." Scott's mother then asked, though it sounded like his father was currently trying to stop his wife from embarrassing his son.
"Yeah...she's cute. Look, can we not talk about this?" Scott responded to his parents, the way he said Ramona was cute made her smile (She'll remember that), given how she was literally hearing the whole conversation. "And how's your roommate? Wendell? No wait, Wallace? Does he have a girlfriend yet?" Scott's mother then asked, beginning to annoy her own son. "N-Not that I know of." He managed to say without yelling. "And how about a job? Do you-" Before Scott's mother could finish, Scott himself cut her off. "Mom, I'm still working on all of that!" He gently exclaimed.
"Well don't you worry, son. You've gotten yourself a new girlfriend, so things will start looking up for you soon. I mean, after that heartbreak from N-" Scott's mother began, reassuring her own son about his future which made him smile...until she tried to bring up his ex. "Yeah...at least that's all over." Scott then interrupted, though he calmly agreed with his mother. "Well, your father and I have to go now, we're going to the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Just wanted to check up on you." Scott's mother then said before he was bombarded with so many goodbyes from his parents. "Ok, ok, bye..." Scott then said before putting down the phone and going back to sleep, muttering to himself about how his parents were livin' it up in Rome, riding Vespas and eating spicy meatballs, of course he had little knowledge on Rome itself.
SCOTT PILGRIM'S IDEAS ABOUT ROME:
Leaning Tower?
A Spicy Meatball?
The pope of Rome?
Vespas? Are those Italian? Rome is in Italy, right?
Gladiator? (This was a movie, wasn't it?)
He was feeling a little embarrassed that he had that talk, especially with Ramona sleeping beside him. However, the words from her currently awaken self made him think otherwise. "You're lucky to have parents like them, Scott. They sure sounded nice." She said, revealing to be awake to Scott. "Yeah...they are kinda embarrassing. And believe me, it's a good thing you weren't on the phone with them." Scott countered slightly, though knowing Ramona, she probably had reasons for saying that. "True, but at least that's a lot better than a having no parents at all." She then pointed out before yawning.
Scott would've answered back, but then the phone began to ring again. Annoyed (Possibly an understatement here), Scott figured his mother wanted something from him again as he reached over to pick up said phone. "What is it now? Did you want something from me or...?" Before Scott could even finish, a voice cut him off. A voice he hadn't heard in over a year, and a voice he had been dreading since forever. "Hey, Scott." A young female voice said, immediately causing Scott to gasp in shock (And nearly freaked out because of it) and even waking up Ramona to her concern. "It's me..." The woman continued, her tone of voice freaking Scott out so much.
"I-It's you...Envy..." He said, looking at a picture of himself and another girl on the wall in front of him. "It's been a while, hasn't it?" The girl, or rather, Envy (Name: Envy Adams. Age: 25 Years Old. Occupation: Singer and Keyboard Player of her band.) said, in a venomously sweet tone. "Y-Yeah..." Scott responded, his negative emotions getting the better of him. "About a year, I think?" Envy said, calculating how long it was since the two had split up. "Approximately." Scott responded as his eyes glanced back towards the photo of him and Envy. Seeing the look on Scott's face, Ramona began to worry.
"So, how are you?" Envy then asked her ex, though Scott couldn't tell if she was being evil or not. "I-I'm not doing too good right now." He then replied, given the conversation he had with his parents before she called (Or in this case, the moment she'd called). "Oh, sucks to be you then." Envy then spoke, snickering from what Scott could hear from his other end. "Well it was obviously your fault." Scott then responded back, beginning to frown at his ex's voice. "Well duh. So how's life and where are you living? Lemme guess...still with Wallace?" Envy then asked, her tone sounding a bit smug from what Scott could tell.
"What's it to you anyway?" Scott spat back, defending Wallace. Ramona (Status: Concerned for Scott) meanwhile wondered who would be able to piss off Scott like that. "And how's your love life? Still breaking hearts?" Envy asked to Scott's sudden shock. "Says the girl who literally left me for a cocky pretty boy I've never even seen (Not-So Fun Fact: This is more or less true). And anyway, things are different now. I do have a girlfriend. She's totally awesome and she's American." Scott then countered firmly as he looked at a magazine with his ex and her two band members.
"Pff, whatever...so what's her name?" Envy asked, sounding slightly desperate to know. "Like I'd ever tell you!" Scott said, refusing to tell Envy his girlfriend's name. "Come on, please...?" She said in a pouty tone, causing Scott to sigh and eventually give in. "Her name's Ramona Flowers." He said to her, and then there was silence...at least until Envy spoke again. "Huh..." She said, sounding like she knew Ramona. "What? You know her? Because it sounds like you do..." Scott then asked. "Uh...no, I doubt it. Still, I'm jealous, Scott." Envy replied, though something told Scott otherwise. "Seriously, you're jealous?" He asked, not falling for any more of his ex's schemes.
"I'm allowed." Envy spat back in annoyance. "Look, what do you really want Envy?" Scott then, getting right to the point without hesitation. "What the hell's that supposed to mean?" Envy asked, sounding offended by those words. "I mean are you evil or are you just being nice?" Scott explained while also asking this from his Ex, funnily enough, it was almost like Kim asked a while back. "You mean do I have ulterior motives or something?" Envy asked, sounding a bit more offended. "You're a user, Envy. And don't think I have to ask!" Scott pointed out firmly before glancing towards Ramona and saying sorry for being too loud if he was.
"Fine...I'm a user. The point is, we're playing a few shows this weekend at Lee's Palace, we're getting some of the local bands to open, but one of them dropped out due to the guitarist and bass player breaking up and their drummer going into a coma or something, and I was hoping that your band could play." Envy explained. This in turn had shocked Scott. First she'd dumped him and then called him out of the blue to use his band for her own gain?! God, this was crossing so many lines for him. "Are you serious right now? After everything you did to me?" He barked, sounding like he was literally about to refuse Envy's offer (And he really was).
"Come on, Pilgrim. This is supposed to be a big deal. For me mostly (Scott's Note: Of course she'd make it about herself...)." Envy said, making the request about her mostly. "Well then call me a pity case." Scott bluntly said, trying to hang up until Envy spoke again. "Oh give me a break. Don't you and Stephen have a new band? Sex Bomb or something?" She asked Scott despite getting the name of his band wrong. "Sex Bob-Omb." He bluntly responded. "Right. So I'm gonna put your guys on the guest list for Friday, alright? Come see us and we'll talk afterwards." Envy then said to her ex.
For a good long moment, Scott thought about refusing Envy's offer out of spite...but ultimately deciding to do the one thing he didn't want to do. "Fine...but try anything funny, I'm out." Scott said, though he did give a very stern warning to his ex. "Great. Nice chatting with you, Pilgrim." Envy said gratefully. "Yeah...whatever." And with that, Scott hung up on Envy before walking into the bathroom...and then let out a huge scream.
Two hours later...
Wallace (Scott's Cool Gay Roommate. Status: Rushing home to check on his buddy.) came rushing back to his apartment after getting a call from Ramona about Scott passing out on the floor of the bathroom after thirty whole minutes of rage. "I'm here, what the heck happened Rammy? Was it food poisoning or was his poop a weird colour or did he find out I saved over his final fantasy games? Wait, scrap that one." He asked Ramona after seeing Scott lying on the sofa in a vegetable state.
"I don't know, Wallace. One minute he as on the phone to some girl he knew, then he went into the bathroom and raged out and the next thing I know, he passed out on the floor." Ramona explained from what she remembered. Scott (Status: In so much emotional pain right now) then moaned, but as he looked at Wallace. "Nnn..." He moaned, the words seeming to confuse Wallace. "Ennnnn..." Scott then moaned again before Ramona spoke up. "He's been like that for two hours. I think the name of the girl who called him was Emily, no, Envy I think." Ramona explained, the name suddenly sparking Wallace's immediate concern.
"Wait...Envy? As in, Envy Adams? She called?" He asked, grabbing Ramona by her shoulders as if to look her in the eyes hard. "I...I think so, why?" Ramona said, though unsure. Wallace looked away before "XXXX..." Wallace growled (Wallace's Note: Why did it have to be her?!). "Wait...you guys both know about her?" Ramona asked in surprise, though with Wallace, he was showing his darker side, pretty much confirming Ramona's suspicions. "Believe me...you don't know the half of it, Rammy." He said while looking away.
At Stephen Stills' place (Band Practice as usual)
Scott and Ramona had met up with Kim (Sex Bob-Omb's Drummer. Status: Slowly dying of boredom), Stephen (The Talent of Sex Bob-Omb. Emotion: Worried), Young Neil (Stephen's Roommate. Status: Playing on his console as usual) and Knives (Sex Bob-Omn's Newest member and possibly Ramona's Protégé. Status: Excited for whatever.) where they were setting up their band equipment. "Guys, I've got some bad news." Scott then said, speaking up and preparing to admit what about what happened. "What? You broke up with your girlfriend but we'll meet your new new girlfriend?" Kim asked, a little bluntly no less.
"No...Envy Adams asked us to play a show, and we have to meet her tomorrow and talk about it, or whatever. Yeah, like I said: Bad news." Scott admitted, with Ramona confirming the info with a nod of her head to Kim and Young Neil. However, the rest of the gang (Unfortunately...) didn't see the news as bad. "Bad news?! Scott, that's great news! We could get known if we open for The Clash at Demonhead!" Stephen exclaimed, with excitement, even Knives gasped with such excitement as well. Kim meanwhile, hugged her knees, feeling insecure compared to Envy's beauty, leaving Ramona to comfort her as best as she could.
"And they're literally my favourite band of all time!" She then added, showing her enthusiasm towards Envy's band. The reveal however, shocked Scott and Stephen (More like upset them both) entirely. "Wait what? I thought we were your favourite band, Knives." Stephen said, feeling suddenly dejected by his band's no. 1 fan. "Oh...I mean, other than you guys." Knives awkwardly responded as soon as she realised she was giving the wrong impression to Sex Bob-Omb. "Anyways, Lee's Palace, I've seen all my favourite bands play there!" Stephen pointed out before having a major freak out over the assumption that they actually sucked.
"That makes two of us, Stephen, but it doesn't matter, we're not going." Scott then said before bluntly refusing to go to the shock of his fellow bandmates (Yes, including Young Neil too). "WHAT?!" They all exclaimed with shock. "You heard me. We aren't going. I'm not giving Envy the satisfaction to use us like that! Not after what she did." Scott then spoke further. "Come on, can't you put your history with her aside for the band until we get through this?" Stephen then asked, pleading to his bandmate, but nothing he said or did could change Scott's mind.
"Stephen, have you forgotten that this is Envy Adams we're talking about?! That woman is the literal bane of my life!" Scott argued back, resulting in both him and Stephen arguing amongst each other before Knives, who was hearing all this new info, cut them off gently. "Wait wait, guys...how do you both know Envy Adams?" She asked, and Ramona was interested to know as well. "Well, we used to be in a band with her and uh...Scott used to date her." Stephen revealed to Scott's annoyance.
Hearing this, Knives was shocked. Not only did she know a great indie band like Sex Bob-Omb, but now her ex and possibly future fellow bandmate knew one of the greatest bands of her time too?! She nearly passed out until Ramona caught her. "Yeah, I did. It's ancient history now." Scott bluntly admitted, not wanting to say anything else (He really doesn't...). However, everyone staring at him eventually got him to talk. "Look...it's a long story. But basically, me and Stephen DID used to be in a band with her, we dated in college, but then she changed so much that she dumped me just to become famous and date a cocky pretty boy called Todd!" Scott explained, and boy he didn't like the thought.
"Wait, she's dating a guy called Todd?" Ramona then asked in surprise before everyone looked towards her. "Y-Yeah...wait, you know him?" Scott then asked, thinking he was the next evil ex (Third Evil Ex on the list possibly.) they had to fight, although Ramona looked away slightly as if to say she was unsure. "I mean, I DID date someone called Todd...but I don't think it's the same guy." She admitted sheepishly. However, her words gave Stephen the opportunity to take advantage of the moment. "Well if he's the next XXX you have to fight, then we're totally going Scott." He said with pride.
"I hate you..." Scott muttered to himself as he crossed his arms. "At least we'll have something to complain about..." Kim then said. "Come on guys, Envy's like the coolest and most beautiful woman! I mean, aside from you Ramona. She might not be as bad as you're making her out to be, Scott." Knives then said, trying to lighten the mood. "She's a XXXXX who cares about being famous and stuff, Knives. Believe me, you don't wanna look up to her." Scott then bluntly yet gently said about his ex to Knives, making her pretty dejected. "But nobody's gonna stop you if you like her so much." Kim then said reassuringly, making Knives feel a lot better, while giving a slight glare towards Scott.
"So it's settled then? We're playing for The Clash at Demonhead." Stephen said with excitement (Fun Fact: He hopes Sex Bob-Omb will get loved so much by the time this whole thing blows over). "By the way, would you ever consider having a keyboard player in the band?" Knives then said, revealing her own choice of instrument, something which sparked Stephen's interest. "Huh...never thought about that. I guess Keyboard could give out band more of a chance." He said in agreement. Scott was pretty happy that Knives, though he couldn't shake the feeling that Envy was planning something horrible for him and the others.
Elsewhere...
Envy Adams (Emotion: Thrilled for her upcoming gigs) and her fellow bandmates, Todd (Envy's Boyfriend and Ramona's third evil ex. Status: Lounging around) and the drummer (Name: Lynette Guycott. Status: Mysterious), were sitting in a hotel room they'd just purchased while looking at each other. "So did they accept the invite, Envy? That Scott Pilgrim guy's the one Gideon's said to destroy." Todd asked his own girlfriend, who glanced lovingly towards her boyfriend with a smirk. "Knowing Stephen Stills, I'd say yes. But be patient...you know we have our gigs to do, right?" Envy responded as she placed her hand gently on his.
"Please, I can do both at once. We're all rockstars, remember?" Todd then spoke, stating the obvious despite him and his girlfriend staring into each other's eyes. "Obviously enough..." The drummer muttered to herself, feeling a twinge of jealousy and being left out. "Also, I hope you're not planning to get back with Ramona after beating Scott. You know our vow we made, right?" Envy then said firmly (Not-So Fun Fact: You really don't want to XXXX off Envy if you know what's good for you.), though sounding a bit like she was threatening Todd.
"I know that. Vegans are loyal to their partners. Trust me babe, I never waver." Todd said reassuringly to his girlfriend, even scoffing at the thought of getting back with his ex. This in turn made Envy smile. "Good. Now if you guys will excuse me, I'm gonna go to check on our schedule and instruments." Envy said before getting up to go to the bathroom, even kissing Todd on the lips briefly before doing so. As soon as she was out of sight, Lynette turned towards Todd with a grin (Todd's Note: Oh god...not this again...) on her face, the kind that made the latter on edge.
"Wanna go do it again? I'm all yours for the taking right now." She asked while trying to get close to Todd gently and seduce him, only for the rockstar to stop her. "I can't keep doing this, Lynn...I made a promise to Envy and I don't feel good about breaking it." He admitted to Lynette quietly, sounding like he was going to get his XXX kicked because of it. "Come on, Toddy. She'll never know." Lynette then said, seducing Todd too much that caused him to eventually give in. "You better not make me regret doing any of this..." He said to Lynette with embarrassment before pulling her in, very close in fact.
"Trust me, Todd...you won't..." Lynette (Motive for stealing Todd from Envy: Unknown. Status: She couldn't care what her boss thinks right now.) said, viciously grinning without him even noticing her doing so. All the while, Todd was being watched by Gideon (Emotion: Annoyed by this turn of events.) from his own lair, the way he saw the current events made him groan in frustration. "Ugh...I'm surrounded by idiots..." He muttered to himself before switching off the monitor.
On Friday Night
Scott and Ramona walked the long way to Lee's Palace with the rest of their friends, well dressed (Along with the fact that Stephen Stills got a haircut that nobody noticed just yet.) for the night too in fact. "Wow, someone looks good tonight." Ramona said to Scott as she hugged him gently. "T-Thanks. Sure, neither of us is wearing a t-shirt, but seriously, thanks." Scott responded, flattered despite the fact they weren't wearing t-shits as he claimed. All the while, Stephen, Kim and Neil couldn't help but notice the way Scott and Ramona were with each other, let alone showing more of their nicer sides than usual.
"Am I the only one who thinks those two were meant to be?" Stephen asked Kim (Status: Wearing heels that hurt like hell!), who seemed to smile a little bit. "Eh, can you blame them? If that was me, I'd be like that too." She responded to Stephen with a smirk. "And while we're on the subject, look at who Young Neil's with." Stephen then said before pointing towards Young Neil, who had his arm around Knives (Emotion: Excited to see The Clash rock out tonight). Everyone briefly stopped to stare at this before catching Knives' attention seconds later. Before anyone could even ask though, Knives immediately spoke up.
"Kinda wanted to seem older, so I decided to make Young Neil my date for tonight." She explained sheepishly (She remembered what Scott told her after defeating that one guy). "Yeah...I mean, I'm pretty ok with it in a way." Young Neil nervously responded before feeling Knives pull into him closely. As the two then walked off towards Lee's Palace, Scott, Ramona, Stephen and Kim could only watch, surprised and pretty concerned. "Did he literally forget that dating a high schooler is frowned upon by so many people?" Kim asked, a little bit of annoyance building up inside her. "Should we beat up in an alleyway later?" Stephen suggested to Scott's annoyance.
"Guys, not the right time. Can we just focus on getting to Lee's palace and then decide later on?" Scott said, not wanting to cause any drama before hesitantly walking onward with Ramona. "So...The Clash at Demonhead. It's your ex-girlfriend's band." Ramona then said after that awkward moment. "Pretty much, Rammy." Scott said with a sigh. Boy...he was not looking forward to seeing his ex again (Or facing his girlfriend's third ex if he was actually there). "And her name's Envy Adams?" Ramona asked while on the subject. "Well, not really...it's just a nickname I made up I think." Stephen then butted in gently, though he DID reveal the reason she called herself Envy.
"Her initials are N and V, so that's pretty much true." Scott confirmed. "Huh...I guess that makes sense for a nickname. I mean, my initials are R.V, so I could be called Trailer Girl, as in an RV truck, get it?" Ramona then said in surprise before joking on saying her own initials. It took a couple of moments, but eventually Scott got it. "Oh yeah...that's true." He said with a smile, the kind that could annoy Kim to pieces. "And the V stands for Victoria if you guys are interested." Ramona added gently, even saying it to Stephen and Kim too. "As in the name of the Queen of England that died 100 years ago?" Stephen asked gently.
"Yeah. Hard to believe people are still worshiping her." Ramona then said, somewhat surprised at that remark. A while later, Ramona decided to ask Scott something that made him pretty uncomfortable. "So um...how'd you break up with Envy Adams anyway?" She asked, making her boyfriend feel pretty uncomfortable like she figured. "Well like I said, she chose fame and that cocky pretty boy Todd over me. Actually, wouldn't it be better to say how we met at the start of university?" Scott then said before trying to shift the subject away from that. However, Kim was eager to know what happened too.
"Fine...we broke up on New Year's Eve, over a year ago." He admitted with a groan. "Were you wasted?" Ramona asked, figuring that was the case. "I don't really drink, Ramona." Scott said, sounding like he didn't, but at the same time he somehow did. "I'm pretty sure you got drunk that night." Stephen (Status: Definitely recalls that key point about Scott.) pointed out, frustrating Scott. "Well I don't remember drinking in that case." He spat back in slight annoyance. "Did Envy give you a reason why she dumped you?" Ramona then asked, and Kim was pretty interested to find out as well.
"Well, from what I remember, she wanted to move to Montreal because she missed that cocky pretty boy Todd or something." Scott said, remembering what he could about that night as hard as he could, and surprisingly making Ramona think about the Todd that she knew. "Lemme guess, two weeks later you found out they were sleeping together?" Kim asked, feeling unsurprised about what happened next. "Pretty much." Scott responded awkwardly. "Yep...that's the gist of it." Stephen added. "Then what happened after that?" Ramona asked, wanting to know more about what happened afterwards before noticing Scott's pretty confused expression.
"Honestly, my memory of that year is pretty hazy so I don't remember it that well." Scott admitted sincerely. "Well you must've graduated somehow." Ramona teased gently. "I did. I mean, I must have done, because the first real memory I had afterwards was getting a job at this restaurant that opened on Queen West Street. It was called the Palace of Flying Burritos, I got my fave food there for like a week...until the place got shut down for some bad type of thing." Scott explained, though his story didn't seem believable (To any of his friends for that matter).
"Did that seriously happen?" Kim asked, annoyed just as Ramona (Unfortunately...) slightly was. "Believe it or not, it really did..." Stephen groaned, unable to forget that annoying memory of Scott bragging about how great the place was and even the song he'd written about after plunging back into depression due to losing his job. "I'll bet when we hear about Ramona's last job, it'll be so much better than Scott's." Kim then bluntly said with a smirk to Scott's slight annoyance. Before he could moan about it though, the quartet had caught up with a surprised Young Neil and a giddy Knives, both looking at the huge line of people waiting to enter Lee's Palace.
"Woah...what's this? They're like some big thing all of a sudden." Scott said in disbelief. He knew Envy had a brilliant band that was ahead of it's time, but until now he didn't know how great it was. "Right?! This concert is gonna be so awesome!" Knives exclaimed with so much excitement. She didn't, however, notice the way Scott and Stephen were both very nervous about going into the place.
Inside Lee's Palace
A lot of people were already inside the building, either talking to each other playing as a band that totally sucked on stage. Scott and the others had entered too and were currently listening to the band, who they found absolutely appalling. "Man, those guys suck..." Scott grumbled, their music not even making him feel better about his current situation. "I'll say..." Knives (Status: Developing taste for music) added as she tried to drown out the music by covering her ears. "That's what they'll be saying about you guys on Sunday, Pilgrim." Julie (Stephen Stills' Girlfriend...and a XXXXX and a half) said, revealing that she actually came to Lee's Palace too, all to Scott's annoyance.
"Why don't you tell somebody who cares, Julie?" Kim (Status: Not taking her crap) added with a snarl. "Yeah, you...uh, glasses something insult?" Scott said, trying to come up with a good comeback but ultimately failed to do so. "Lame comeback, Scott..." Kim bluntly said to Scott, making Julie smirk evilly. "Actually, that wasn't too bad for Scott." Ramona said, giving Scott confidence (And support) to Julie's immediate anger. "Pff, whatever..." She said before walking off. Stephen tried to go after her, but she blew him off completely. A while later, Kim was a little bit from her friends before a voice caught her attention.
"Hey Kim!" Hollie (Kim's Co-Worker at No-Account Video) said, greeting her co-worker with her roommate (Name: Joseph. Age: 24. Status: Quiet) after approaching her. "Hey, I didn't know you were coming to this show, Hollie." Kim said, smiling at this surprise. "Eh, well their first ep was alright. But to be honest, I didn't hear their album yet." Hollie then admitted. "Actually, the real reason we're here is because Joseph has a crush on their bass player." She added whilst also gesturing Joseph, who seemed to blush with slight embarrassment. "Wait, you think that cocky pretty boy is hot?" Kim then asked in surprise.
"Joseph?" Hollie then asked her roommate. For a while, Joseph stayed quiet (Due to embarrassment) until he eventually broke his silence. "He is as hot as the flames of hell you XXXXXXX are going to." He said all at once. Kim would've pressed the subject a little further, but she stopped when she saw a familiar face nearby. "Oh god... Excuse me a moment, guys..." Kim groaned before trying to walk off. "What? What's wrong?" Hollie asked in confusion. "It's one of my idiot roommates. I gotta hide." Kim explained before walking off.
Of course, Sara, Kim's roommate, noticed her, but she couldn't care less about her. All the while, Scott and Ramona had just finished talking to Monique and Sandra and went over to Stephen, Knives and Young Neil. "Nice haircut, Stephen." Knives said, complementing Stephen's haircut that she and the others had just noticed now. "Oh uh...thanks, Knives. Didn't think anyone would notice." Stephen said, slightly embarrassed but flattered. "Soooo, are you guys excited to see them play?" Knives then asked Stephen, who looked away. "Well...not really, I mean, sure...they're ok and all..." He said. Like Scott, he too wasn't fond of Envy's band, especially after everything she'd put the boys through.
"Well I can't wait to see her in person! Man she's so cool!" Knives squealed with delight (Status: Feels like passing out again like that night at the Rockit). Stephen and Kim felt slightly dejected that Knives loved Envy's band over theirs, but Scott? He clenched his fists at the thought, feeling like his ex was already planning her move to destroy their band...and then his thought was interrupted. "I'm gonna go pee..." And with that, Scott walked to the bathroom before Ramona could ask if he was ok.
AND THEN IT WAS TIME…
Before long, everyone had gathered to the stage to see The Clash of Demonhead perform, cheering them on so much, and Knives so excited she felt like fainting again. The only ones who didn't cheer for the band was Scott, Kim and Stephen, getting bad feelings about this. "This is a bad idea...I think we should go." Scott said nervously to Ramona, wanting to leave until she stopped him. "Come on, Scott. Suck it up. How bad could it be?" She said to him with reassurance.
FOR TORONTO DO DROWN IN THE SWEET SORROW
After what seemed like a short eternity, the three core members of the band walked out onto the stage. One being a tall fair skinned guy with light blonde hair, the second being a dark-haired woman with glasses and the third being a stunningly beautiful redhaired woman who seemed to mesmerize all who looked upon her.
OF THE CLASH…
AT...
The trio got their instruments, and began to play...
DEMONHEAD!
Seconds later, the lights came on, illuminating the stage just in time to see Envy take off her huge coat, causing the crowd to go absolutely wild as they began to play. "Hey Toronto...I'd like to thank every one of you to come see us. Now it's time to show the black sheep within!" Envy said to the crowd as she gripped the microphone firmly in her hand. All the while, Scott and Ramona watched from the crowd as this happened. "So, yeah…that red-haired girl! That's Envy!" Scott said, pointing towards Envy as she prepared to sing. "I know." Ramona responded to Scott to his shock. "Wait. You know?" He asked his girlfriend in shock before she turned towards him.
"I mean, I figured...but-!" Ramona began reassuringly. "But what?" Scott asked in confusion. "That guy on bass, Todd?" Ramona then continued while pointing towards Todd Ingram. "What about him?" Scott asked once again in confusion. "Stephen got it right before! He really is the same Todd I dated. He's my third evil ex-boyfriend!" She revealed to Scott's horror. "Oh no..." He yelped. Yep...this was definitely not going to be good at all despite what Knives claimed. And then Envy began to sing.
[0:48] Envy Adams - Black Sheep
~ Hello again, friend of a friend, I knew you when,
~ Our common goal was waiting for the world to end
~ Now that the truth is just a rule that you can bend
~ You crack the whip, shape-shift and trick the past again!
The was Envy sung the song, it's like she was saying that to Scott himself. And as if that wasn't bad enough, both he and Ramona were being looked at by both Envy and Todd himself.

All the while, there were people filming a documentary about The Clash (Since they, along with Envy, were so damn famous), and they were going around talking to many fans in the crowd and asking for their thoughts on the band. "Oh man, yeah! You have to see them live. They're so much better life. They're like...oh man!" One guy said with excitement. "They played my request and...and Envy Adams is...oh my god, she sings like an angel!" A girl from the crowd exclaimed, even looking like she was going to cry happy tears. "Oh my god, that woman is so awesome!" "I agree!" Two girls said with impressed expressions on their faces.
"She's soooo amazing! I love The Clash of Demonhead!" Knives screamed with excitement, even grabbing the camera from the cameraman and yelling into it until Young Neil pulled her back with embarrassment. "A little louder?" The shooter asked gently to Joseph. "The Clash at Demonhead." He responded after some encouragement from Hollie. "And Envy?" The shooter then asked again in confusion. "I think she's a nasty XXXXX." Joseph then spoke, bluntly saying his thoughts on Envy. "Hey! Get that thing outta my face, you XXXX." The bartender yelled to the crew in annoyance.
"We're just shooting a documentary for-" Before they could finish, the cameraman was cut off. "Are you deaf? I said now!" She said, nearly hitting the camera lens.
Oh boy, looks like Scott's problems with his ex have only gotten a lot worse with knowing Todd was Ramona's third ex.
But how will this part of the story play out? Well, that'll have to wait until next time.
So as usual stay tuned and hope you enjoyed the chapter ^^
