After the events of Kingdom Hearts: FM - Blue Blur Edition, Sonic's surprise party is disrupted by a mysterious indigo hedgehog. His friends are scattered through time and space. To save them, Sonic must navigate twisted echoes of his past adventures, all manipulated by the elusive 'Organization'. Restoring lost memories is key, but the truth behind this dark scheme remains hidden.

With the defeat of Sonic the hedgehog, Eggman has taken over almost the entire world. Gear the Dire Dog, a half-breed between a Dire Wolf and a German Shepard, is someone with the ability to create mechanical builds from his body. He along with a small army of Guardian of United Nations soldiers travel to his homeland to help the Resistance and take the fight to Eggman.

A new journey begins for Sonic across the pokemon world and regions. This new path walked by Sonic and his trusted partner raichu, often joined by their friends, contains many challenges, new loyal allies, just as many deadly enemies, a complicated rivarly with Ash Ketchum as well as personal quest of self-discovery and improvement and the pursuit of a dream Sonic never knew he had
