Optimus was still running wild but then he felt the pulses in his spark. He recognized them and tried to stop acting wild, as he now knew Mirage was there. As Optimus slowed his crazy behavior, Mirage carefully approached. "Optimus?" Mirage uttered, careful not to get too close just yet.
Optimus gave heavy sigh and then lowered his helm. He hadn't wanted to act like this, but something was off. "Mirage? You… you are here?" Optimus, his back still to Mirage.
"I am. Ironhide asked for me to come as you aren't being your normal self" Mirage answered.
Another heavy sigh exited the Prime's mouth. "It… it hurts…" Optimus let out. Mirage's optics went wide.
"But your not due yet" Mirage replied.
"Well, like it or not, they may have to come out now" Ratchet added. Mirage nodded, and finally reached Optimus to help the bot onto the berth. Hide stayed nearby, trusting the minibots Mirage had asked to watch the little ones. Ratchet got to work removing the precious little ones. They were very early, and were a challenge to remove but all three mechlings soon came forth, but then Ratchet realized that those weren't the only sparklings in Optimus. He had two on his spark and they were ready for their bodies. "Oh boy… we got an issue" Ratchet stated.
"What's wrong?" Mirage asked.
"Part of the reason Optimus is acting off is none of us realized Optimus and sparklings growing on his spark as well as in his chamber" Ratceht replied, his tone deadly serious.
"So now what?" Mirage asked, wondering how this had been missed.
"I will comm Wheeljack to see if there are any available forms. Until those two have forms, I can't let Optimsu go anywhere" Ratchet. Optimus was too stunned to speak.
"How did these two get missed?" Mirage asked, clearly agitated at this new development.
"It has been eons upon eons since transformers have carried sparklings on their sparks routinely. It now is so very very rare that most medics don't even think of checking for it, as it is so rare" Ratchet replied. He didn't like that even he had failed to check for it, but he was only telling the truth.
"You better hope Jack has forms or we are in trouble" Hide said.
"Why is that?" Mirage asked.
"Those spark when they are ready and will die if a form can't be found within a certain short time frame" Hide said, having been around for much longer and been exposed to such things. All swore, this was so not what they needed right now.
