Lumpy and bones are at the bridge of the waterfall to sabotage the bridge, Bones are the one using the knife to cut the ropes in order to prevent their intruders from crossing it and make their way to McNasty. He is putting his effort into cutting some threads. "Eh, why does the boss want us to cut the bridge too?" He wonders. "In case you botched the job in the swamps." Lumpy replies grumpily. "But I didn't do the jobs at the swamps, you did." Bones says in his defense. Lumpy walks towards bones, a little annoyed by him. "Hey uh, don't start nit picking. Just give that knife." He says while putting his hand out, waiting for Bones to hand over the knife.
Meanwhile with the pound puppies, Big Paw marches towards the bridge. He sees the bad guys trying to cut the rope. It didn't take long for Whopper to notice what's going on. "Hey look, they're trying to cut the bridge." Whopper points out. "I see them too Whopper." Big Paw said. "They're trying to stop us from crossing." Cooler said.
"Not on my watch." Adam hops off and sprints towards the bridge. Lumpy sees someone running, seeing who it was. Lumpy snatches the knife from bones and dashes off to stop him. "Well well, trying to get across huh? You just don't know when to learn, do ya?" Lumpy stands in front of Adam, blocking his path. "Learn? In case you don't know, I have learned. A lot of things in fact." Adam says, standing tall. "Trying to think like a man with those words? Ha! I think you should go on back home." Lumpy tries to tell him off.
"We ain't leaving without the bone you stole." Adam talks back. "Oh yeah?" Lumpy said. "We, what does he mean with that?" Bones wonders himself with that question. Lumpy uses the knife to threaten him. "Last chance kid, don't make me use this sharp tool." Lumpy threatens with a knife, pointing towards Adam. He then retaliates by pulling out his own weapon, Excalibur. Also pointing at Lumpy to try and scare him. "Mines bigger, bone head." He insults him.
This was the last straw for Lumpy and got angry after Adam called him a name. "BONE HEAD!? Why you little." He starts swinging the knife but Adam blocks it. "You think you're tough with that sword you found? I'll show you." Lumpy swings another one but Adam blocks his attack. And so, Lumpy and Adam begin to duel on a bridge. Bones Backs up and watches, while Big Paw stands there and watches. And so did the pups and cats.
Adam and Lumpy keep exchanging one blade swing after another. Adam kept focusing on the knife he had in his hand. Watching out for any stabs he would aim for. Watching him trying to stab his shoulders, his arms, and even his head. Though it's only short enough to just slice and stab. Cooler sees how well Adam is doing with his first battle with Lumpy. Bright eyes out here start to cheer for him. "Come on Adam, show him what you're made of."
"Get him." Whopper said. "Knock him out kid." Cooler says next. "Hang in there." Big Paw says with a little encouragement. "Come on Adam, concentrate." Oswin says as he watches his fight.
The fight goes on. Lumpy pushes him back as he swings around with a knife. Adam blocks and parries while being pushed back, leaving him at a disadvantage. Adam holds that block against the knife, going into a clash. With Lumpy too focused on Adam, staring him down. Adam took the opportunity to kick his leg. "Yeow." Lumpy picks up his leg and bounces back.
Now Adam has the advantage. Crossing the bridge in the middle. Lumpy regains his posture and strikes him. Adam dodges the blow in time before it could do any damage. "Had enough, ready to give up the bridge ya brute?" Adam hits him with another insult. Making him even more angry. "Oh you're asking for it now kid." Lumpy says angrily.
And now they're going back and forth again with more of the sounds of blades clinging. It went on until Bones noticed the rope. It's about to tear. They were so busy fighting that no one even noticed the bridge was about to tear apart. "Hey lumpy." Bones is about to warn him. "Not now, idiot, can't you see I'm busy here?" Lumpy ignores him as he is too focused on trying to beat Adam. "But pal, the rope I cut. It's about to tear apart." Bones finally tells him out loud.
Lumpy and Adam stopped. The both of them see the ropes are about to lose their grip. Everyone sees the impending doom on the rope. "Oh no." Reflex said. "Adam, g-get out of here." Hairball said and spit out a hairball. Bones sees Big Paw is present with them. "Lumpy, look." Bones points. Lumpy looks where Bones is pointing, and makes a frightful look.
"BIG PAW!" Lumpy and Bones speak at the same time and make a getaway towards the end of the bridge. Adam also does the same. When the rope loses its grip, the bridge begins to slip apart. Lumpy and Bones tried to reach for anything to grab on, but it was too late. The two men make a plummet down the waterfalls.
Cooler and others look for Adam, but he is nowhere in sight. "Oh no…" Bright eyes said worriedly. "Is he, is he…" Nose Marie said, about to break down into tears. "No…" Whopper said, about to accept he didn't make it. "Uh, guys?" A voice called. They all perked their heads and went to look for his voice. They look down to see Adam is alive, hanging on to his dear life on a wood. "I'm down here." He says.
"Adam!" Beamer said with joy. "Whew, good thing it was a fake out." Cooler jokes. "Let's help him, friends." Big Paw reminds them. "Right, come on guys. Let's give him a hand.
So they form a line to help Adam. Beamer is in front, Reflex is behind him, Cooler is in the middle, Nose Marie is behind Cooler, Bright eyes is behind Nose Marie, Charlemagne is behind Bright eyes, and Hairball is Behind Charlemagne. Beamer lends his paw to him. "I gotchu man, grab on." Beamer lends out his paw for him to reach. Adam grabs Beamer's paw. "Altogether now, pull." Cooler yells in command. They all start to pull, trying to get him up on the platform.
Carefully Adam climbs while being pulled from them each wood at a time. Almost up, Whopper grabs his shirt. "Have no fear, wonder Whopper is here." He says as he helps out by tugging his shirt. As soon as they are pretty close to getting him up, Adam starts to slip. Luckily Big Paw grabs him in the nick of time. With combined team effort, they managed to get him up enough for him to climb back up to the surface.
Everyone cheered in glee, managing to save him from making a fall to the waters. "Phew, thanks guys." Adam dust himself off from the dirt. "That's great teamwork." He complimented them. "But there's one obstacle before us, look." Oswin points. Everyone sees that the bridge is out. "Uh oh, no more bridge." Big Paw comments.
"Aw crud, those bad guys cut the ropes to stop us." Whopper said. "Now we have nothing to get across." Oswin added. "Yes there is, and we're riding on it." Cooler puts on his determination stance. "Big paw, you're gonna jump us across." He announces out loud. Everyone jumped and got taken aback by his sudden crazy idea of his. "I can't do that." Big Paw says with self doubt. "What if we fall?"
Bright eyes hops on his back. "Come on Big Paw, you can do it! You just need some motivation." She encourages him with a cheer. "I can do it?" After a moment, he no longer feels any self doubt to himself. "I can do it. Come on fellas, we're gonna get across there." Big Paw said. "Yeah, what he says. We can't give up now. The fighting hawks didn't, so why should we?" Bright eyes said. With that, everyone hopped right on to Big Paw's back.
"Alright, I'll need some room to speed up." He runs all the way back up the path to get some room to build up his speed. Then he leaps forward and starts running as fast as he can and keeps saying to himself: "I can do it, I can do it, I can DO IT!" He jumped over. He puts out his claws to get a tight grip on the ground. The dirt slipped a little as his legs kept on a tight grip to stop himself from falling. He tightened his grip on the ground again, and managed to pull himself up. "We did it." He says, surprised he was able to make it across.
"But what about the bad guys that fall down into the waters?" Whopper wondered. Meanwhile down at the waterfalls. Lumpy and Bones resurfaced. Safe at first, however when they turned around. They were faced with two hungry crocodiles. And they're about to get ready to jump on them. Lumpy and Bones Swim for their lives and started going faster as they were being chased by the hungry crocodiles. "I think they'll be fine, but we better be careful." Cooler said.
"I agree, they could be back to strike again." Reflex said. "Let's get going." Cooler commands. Big Paw went onward towards the direction to McNasty's castle, and just halfway there.

Lumpy and Bones were able to make it back to the castle. Marvin arrives with a book in his hand. They report them the news about who's currently in the forest, and on their way here. This news gets Marvin infuriated. "PUPPIES?! You couldn't even stop a bunch of puppies!?" He yelled. "But big paw was helpin them." Bones said.
"How many TIMES must I tell you there is no big paw, he doesn't exist." Marvin dismisses the claims. "Well, I saw him. And he was big, and ugly. He even had the kid with him to assist." Lumpy added. "You must have been looking in the mirror-" Before Marvin could say anymore he paused for a brief moment upon hearing that one detail in realization.
"The boy? The blonde boy is with the puppies?" Marvin asked. "Yeah, he even carried some sort of a sword and fought Lumpy." Bones added as Lumpy holds the broken dented knife as proof. Marvin focused his eye on Lumpy. "What did the sword look like?" Marvin tugs his collar from his coat. "Well, it looked well made, fancy looking, old fashion, and uh…" Lumpy tries to find a way to finish the description. "Go on." Marvin waits for him to finish. "Um…magical?" Lumpy assumes.
Marvin let go of him. "I recall you said he had a necklace right?" He asked. "He does, like we said." Bones reminded him. Marvin opened the book and looked at the pages, his mood switched to a devilish grin. Lumpy got curious about the book he's holding. "Whatcha reading there boss?" Lumpy wondered. Marvin closes the book, feeling annoyed. "Nevermind that, now. Here's what you're gonna do." He proceeds to tell them what they need to plan.
Lumpy and Bones traveled to the middle of the forest and placed giant sized bear traps all over the place. After this, they hide behind one of the tree branches. "Are you sure you set 'em right Lumpy?" Bones asked. "Of course I set it right. What kind of fool do you think I am?" Lumpy asked with a grumpy tone. Bones thought he wanted him to guess, but couldn't even think of an answer. "I give up, what kind are ya?" Lumpy was getting a bit annoyed. "Why you-" He hears footsteps. He shushes him to be silent and they get their heads down to hide from sight.
"Here they come." Lumpy whispers. They see big paw and the gang just walking by. Going past the bear traps. "For something that doesn't exist, he sure is big." Bones said while feeling spooked. They see them moving forward no problem. "Hey, none of the traps went off Lumpy." He says. "I can see that you dunce, there must be something wrong with them. And I'm gonna find out what it is." Lumpy leaps over the big branch and goes to investigate.
Bones realizes he is about to recklessly walk into a bear trap. "I don't know, I wouldn't do that if I were you." Bones tries to convince him to not walk into the trap they placed. "Of course you wouldn't." Lumpy replies to him without even looking where he was going.
Now resulting in triggering the trap the moment he steps right into it. The bear traps are heard snapping, one and another. Bones covered his eyes. "OW!" Lumpy yells in pain. Bones uncovered his eyes to see his pal being covered in bear traps. He is so embarrassed that he had to make sure he doesn't say anything to embarrass him further.
"Don't say it.. don't even think it."
