It was a little after class at the Juuban Public Elementary School. Chibiusa was busily cleaning up the blackboard when her classmate, Momoko, came in.
"Hey, Chibiusa!" she called. "I brought some of the photos we took at Mugen-C Park!"
She then showed the pink ordango girl all of the pictures they took together, some silly, and some of them were having fun. The two couldn't help but laugh at a particular photo.
"Oh, wow. I'm making such a weird face," said Chibiusa. "It's a little embarrassing."
"You know, you had me worried the other day, Chibiusa," said Momoko. "When you left the park to find your hat and didn't come back, I thought something happened to you."
Then Chibiusa remembered, for that day was when she first encountered Hotaru. It also made her remember the other when she told her that they couldn't meet anymore, making her feel sad. She also wanted to see her more than anything, even though Hotaru said they shouldn't. However, that wouldn't deter her.
"I'll go and see Hotaru when I get out of school," Chibiusa said to herself. "Just to make sure she's all right."
Chibiusa soon found herself in front of Hotaru's house, standing outside the gates. She looked around, peering through the bars of the gate, trying to see any sign of life. Sure enough, she saw Hotaru, who had just gotten home from school.
"Hey, Hotaru!" called out Chibiusa.
Hotaru looked up, and when she saw Chibiusa, she was surprised to see her. "Ch-Chibiusa! What are you doing here?!" she said. "I told you that we shouldn't meet anymore."
"I know, but I couldn't stay away," said Chibiusa. "I wanted to see you."
Hotaru bit her lip and turned to walk away when Chibiusa called out to her again.
"Come on, Hotaru! Don't walk away from me!" begged Chibiusa. "I thought you and I were friends!"
Hotaru stopped. "W-We're friends, but..." she mumbled, trying to come up with an excuse.
"Then, stop trying to push me away," Chibiusa spoke firmly. "I'm your friend, and I'll stick by you no matter what happens. So, please, trust me."
Hotaru looked over to Chibiusa while she looked back at her unwavering.
Then, a smile worked its way to Hotaru's lips. "It's getting pretty cold out here," she said. "Why don't you come inside for a bit?"
Chibiusa was overjoyed.
At Downtown Juuban, Usagi and Harusuke walked to the bakery to buy some crepes for study hall. Harusuke told his sister all about Hotaru and what happened the other day as they walked.
"Sounds to me that girl's got some major issues to deal with," said Usagi. "And Haruka also told you to stay away from her?"
"Yeah, but she wouldn't tell me why," said Harusuke. "Not to mention that I'm also worried about Hotaru and Chibiusa."
"I wouldn't be worried, Harusuke," reassured Usagi. "I'm sure that things will work out. After all, they're friends, and they care about each other."
"Well, I guess you're right, but just in case, I think we should keep this to ourselves," Harusuke said. "Especially considering how hostile the others were with Haruka and Michiru. I can't imagine how they'll react when they find out I was with Haruka again."
They soon came up to the shop, and Harusuke went inside to buy the crepes. Usagi waited outside eagerly, waiting for her brother to return. But as she waited, she saw something that made her gasp with surprise. Just a few blocks down was Michiru, who was talking to Mamoru. Usagi quickly hid behind a tree and peered out, watching the two.
"It's Mamo, but... what's he doing with Michiru?" Usagi thought to herself.
Michiru then took out a white envelope and handed it to Mamoru, who accepted it with a smile. Michiru then turned on her heel and walked away, but not before giving Mamoru a radiant smile, making Usagi feel jealous.
"Why does he seem so happy?" she thought to herself. "Is he interested in her?"
Not wanting to watch anymore, she turned away, but as she did, she found herself staring face to face with Haruka, who had come from the other direction. A moment of silence passed between the two, neither saying a word. Then, Haruka turned away as she spoke.
"Your friends were pretty clear that they didn't want anywhere near you, so I wasn't going to try and come around here anymore," said Haruka. "But then... I missed you, Bun-Head."
Usagi couldn't help but gasp as she instinctively remembered the dream she had with Haruka kissing her, which in turn made her heartbeat begin to quicken. "Wh-What's going on? Why is my heart beating so fast?" she thought to herself. "It's strange..."
"Hey, you all right, Bun-Head? You seem spaced out."
Haruka's voice snapped Usagi back to reality, making her jump a little bit.
"N-No! It's nothing, Haruka!" squeaked Usagi as she averted her eyes. "I'm fine. Really.
As Usagi looked away, she happened to see a poster, and she was surprised to see that Michiru was on it, wearing an elegant dress while playing the violin. It also had large letters that read: "Michiru Kaioh's Violin Recital."
"Wow. I didn't know Michiru was so famous," Usagi murmured aloud.
"Yeah, she is," said Haruka as she gazed at the poster with a hint of wistfulness. "You hear her play just once, and you'll wish you can listen to her forever. The way she breathes life into her violin is magical." Then Haruka dug into her pocket, took out a wad of tickets, and handed them over to Usagi. "If you're interested, you should come."
Usagi was surprised, but she accepted the tickets anyway. Haruka then turned to leave, but before she walked away, she looked back.
"Hey, I know that I call you Bun-Head and that you're Harusuke's sister, but I want to know your real name," said Haruka. "Could you please tell me what it is?"
"It's Usagi," replied the ordango. "Usagi Tsukino."
"Usagi, huh? That's a cute name," smiled Haruka. "It suits you."
Then, a strong gust of wind blew about, making Usagi shield her eyes. But when she looked up as the wind died down, Haruka had wisely disappeared.
"She's gone," Usagi thought to herself. "Here one minute and gone the next, just like the wind."
Then, Harusuke came out of the store with the crepes, and when he saw his sister standing there with a blank look, he was puzzled.
"Is something wrong, Usagi?" he asked. "You look like you saw a ghost or something."
Usagi shook the cobwebs out of her head. "N-No, it's nothing," she said. "Everything's fine." But inside, she felt confused, surprised, and most of all, curious. "Who are you, Haruka Tenoh?" she wondered in thought. "I want to know more about you."
She and Harusuke then continued on their way towards Rei's place, unaware that Mamoru was standing not too far away from them, having seen and heard everything.
Chibiusa was now in Hotaru's room while the girl herself went to get some hot chocolate. The pink ordango girl's eyes were wide with wonder. Aside from the brown wood furniture, the room was dark with several exotic lamps for light. A couple of them were average, while some looked like flowers and hanging stones spread out on the walls and sitting on the dressers. Hotaru soon came back into the room with a tray of snacks and hot chocolate, changing into a skirt with a sweater and tights.
"Your room looks so amazing, Hotaru!" said Chibiusa. "You've got so many lamps in here; they make your room feel like a romantic fairy tale!"
"I've always liked dimly lit places," said Hotaru as she came over. "So I appreciate the compliment."
"You also like wearing the color black, too," Chibiusa went on as she looked at Hotaru. "I just noticed that you wear those tights a lot."
"Well, when I was little, I was badly injured in an accident," said Hotaru casting her gaze downward. "The reason why I wear black is that I have a lot of scars."
Chibiusa felt a little awkward, sorry for bringing up such a painful memory. Then, Hotaru winced while gasping, clutching her chest in pain. Knowing that she was having another seizure, Chibiusa quickly rushed to her friend.
"Hotaru! Are you all right?!" Chibiusa asked worriedly.
"Don't worry... it's one of my attacks," panted Hotaru.
"But, do you need anything?" asked Chibiusa. "Tell me what I can do for you."
"O-On my desk... my amulet," gasped Hotaru. "It helps me... It's on - my desk. Could you please - get it for me?"
Chibiusa looked towards the desk and saw the Taiyron Crystal. She quickly rushed over to it, grabbed the crystal, and brought it to Hotaru.
"Y-You should go now, Chibiusa," panted Hotaru. "You... don't want to be around a girl like me."
"But I can't!" protested Chibiusa.
"I'm not a normal girl, and you don't want to be around someone like me," insisted Hotaru as she clutched the crystal to her chest. "... please leave! Pretty soon, I won't even be me anymore!"
Hotaru then began to cough harder as she started to have trouble breathing. Chibiusa started to panic, unsure what she could do to help her. But then, she looked at Hotaru's crystal, which gave her an idea. She took her brooch, opened it, and got out her Silver Crystal inside.
"Here, Hotaru! Hold this!" Chibiusa told her as she took Hotaru's hand and placed her Silver Crystal in it while closing her hand. "Now, it's my turn to help you."
Then, the Silver Crystal began to glow in a beautiful rainbow-colored light. As it did, Hotaru stopped coughing, and she began to breathe a lot easier.
"Wh-What is this?" she wondered internally. "My body feels so warm, and the pain's stopped. Somehow I'm getting my strength back."
Hotaru soon felt better, and the light of the Silver Crystal soon dimmed down.
"Chibiusa, is this stone your amulet?" wondered Hotaru.
"I'm... not sure what you mean," said Chibiusa.
Hotaru smiled as she handed the crystal back to her. "Amulets are good luck charms that are supposed to protect you," she explained. "They have mystical powers to keep you safe."
Chibiusa smiled. "You know what, that's what it is," she said. "But it doesn't just protect me; it can also protect you, Hotaru. But, please, don't tell anyone."
"Don't worry, I won't," said Hotaru. "Your secret's safe with me. I also owe you an apology. I know I said that we shouldn't hang out anymore because of my attacks, but the truth is I missed you, and I only wanted to keep you safe."
"It's okay, Hotaru. I understand. I missed you, too," said Chibiusa. "But like I told you before, we're friends, and no matter what, we'll always be friends." She then held up a pinky. "Let's make a promise. We won't let things like this hold us back from now on. We'll help each other and be there like good friends should."
Hotaru hesitated for a moment, but with a slight giggle and smile, and wrapped her pinkie finger around Chibiusa's, solidifying their promise. However, they didn't know that two pairs of eyes were watching them outside while standing in the treetops.
It was now night, and Chibiusa was walking home. It was pretty dark and quiet, making her feel a little worried and uneasy.
"I didn't expect it to be this dark out," Chibiusa said to herself. "I should call Usagi or Harusuke."
She was about to do so on her communicator when a powerful gust of wind billowed about, followed by a loud whirring sound, which came from the sky. Chibiusa shielded her eyes as she looked up and was surprised to see that a helicopter was now hovering above her head. The door swung open, and Haruka stepped out, wearing a white dress with a brown cloth with white spots.
"Hey, Chibi Bun-Head!" Haruka called. "Need a lift? If you're heading for Usagi's, we can give you a lift!"
Chibiusa, suspecting nothing, accepted the offer. She was soon flying high with Haruka and Michiru in the helicopter.
"Wow! This is so cool!" said Chibiusa, gazing towards the town of Juuban below. "I've never ridden in a helicopter before!"
Michiru chuckled. "Glad you're enjoying yourself," she said with a smile. "By the way, I saw that you were over at Hotaru's place. Are you and her friends?"
Chibiusa eagerly nodded, then she realized something. "Hold on, does that mean that you know Hotaru, too?" she asked.
"Kinda. We only know that girl because she goes to the same school we do," said Haruka. "Did you two discuss anything interesting?"
Chibiusa turned away in a slight huff. "Sorry, but that's a secret," she said. "Although, I can tell you that we were talking about amulets."
"Amulets?" repeated Michiru thoughtfully. "You mean like good luck charms?"
"Yes! Exactly!" Chibiusa said excitedly. "Does that mean that you have one, too?"
Michiru pondered, then she took out her little hand mirror, gazing into its reflective surface. "Well, I suppose you could say my hand mirror is an amulet," she chuckled with a light smile. "But it is much more than a simple trinket. This mirror is a talisman."
That puzzled Chibiusa, but before she could speak any more, the helicopter soon reached its destination, landing in the middle of the intersection close to the Tsukino's house. The aircraft was causing such a stir; the people around the neighborhood came over to see what was going on as Chibiusa hopped out.
"Goodbye, Chibiusa," said Michiru.
"And don't tell anyone what we talked about," said Haruka. "It's our little secret, okay?"
The helicopter then pulled up, beginning to depart, and as Chibiusa watched it leave, Usagi and Harusuke pushed their way out of the crowd, running over to her.
"Chibiusa!" the two Tsukinos called out.
"Usagi! Harusuke! Haruka and Michiru gave me a ride home on their helicopter after I visited Hotaru!" Chibiusa excitably said while pointing. "I figured it would be okay since you both knew them from before."
Usagi and Harusuke looked up in time to see Haruka standing out of the railing, giving them a wave as the helicopter disappeared into the night.
Meanwhile, Tomoe was busy in the lab, creating a new Daimon while mixing something in a beaker. As he went about his way, Mimete appeared in the room.
"Mimete, have you been able to scope out a new target?" asked Tomoe.
"Yes, I have, he not only has a pure heart, but he's also quite a talented one," replied Mimete. "He should be making an appearance at the Juuban Bookstore for an autograph signing session."
"Perfect. I'm going to whip up a Daimon for you to take along," said Tomoe as he began to stir a strange brown liquid in a beaker above a heater. "Looks like my special brew is ready now."
"Is that some kind of substance you're using to enhance the Daimon's powers?" asked Mimete. "It sure has an odd color."
Tomoe answered with a mad giggle as he turned off the heater. He blew on the substance, cooling it down, and then took a long sip from the beaker.
Mimete couldn't help but cringe in disgust. "T-Tomoe! What are you doing?!" she exclaimed. "I thought that liquid was for enhancing your Daimon! So why are you drinking it?!"
"What are you talking about?" said Tomoe. "This is just my coffee."
Mimete almost fell over in surprise. "Y-Your coffee?" she repeated. "Haven't you ever heard of a coffee maker?"
"I'd prefer to do things my way," cackled Tomoe. "Besides, it's a lot easier and a lot more fun. For me, that is."
As he began to cackle madly, Mimete couldn't help but stare at him blankly.
"I'm starting to understand how Eudial feels," Mimete said to herself. "Tomoe may be a genius with Daimons, but he's pretty weird."
The next day, Usagi and her group were waiting in line outside of the Juuban Bookstore. They were going to an autograph session hosted by a manga artist named Katakuri Ukon.
"I can't believe we'll get to meet Katakuri Ukon himself!" Rei squealed excitedly. "He's the author of my favorite manga!"
"Yeah! Me too!" said Usagi. "I read it all the time! Drop Drop is one of my favorites!"
"Well, hopefully, this won't be too long," said Harusuke. "All this standing around is making me a bit impatient."
"Don't worry, Harusuke. It shouldn't be that much longer," reassured Ami. "In the meantime, we can do something to pass the time. Although, I'm not sure what considering I left my books at home."
"You know, there was something that we need to talk to you guys about," said Makoto. "Something that we should have been talking about a long time ago."
"What's that, Mako?" asked Usagi.
"Well, you see, it's that fusion power of Harusuke's," said Makoto. "You know how he was able to fuse with Minako and me? Well, I just realized that our fusions don't have any names. So, maybe we can come up with some names for our fusions."
"Names, huh?" hummed Harusuke. "Now that you mention it, some names would be ideal for us. At least that way, there'll be a lot less confusion."
"And we can come up with some names for the rest of us if we end up fusing with Harusuke," said Usagi eagerly. "So, who should we name first?"
"Well, since Makoto came up with the idea, why don't we try to come up with a name for her and Harusuke's fusion?" suggested Rei. "Anyone got any ideas?"
Everyone hummed thoughtfully. Then Minako got an idea.
"How about Lightning Emerald Girl?" suggested Minako. "That sounds kind of cool, right?"
Everyone shook their heads in response.
"How about Viridi fulgur?" said Ami. "It's Latin for green lightning."
"That just makes it sound complicated, Ami," Usagi spoke flatly.
"Well, since the fusions are Sailor Guardians and they're super versions of the original, how's about something like Super Sailor Jupiter?" suggested Rei. "Simple and cool, right?"
"Nah, that just sounds unoriginal," said Makoto. "Besides, I feel as though Super gets used too much. Maybe just Sailor something would work."
"I know! How about something like Sailor Green!" chirped Usagi. "It's simple and unoriginal."
Everyone looked across to Usagi, gazing at her as if she confessed to her favorite pair of socks. "No freaking way," they all said.
As they continued to come up with names, Mimete happened to be standing in line, under human disguise once again. It was now her turn, and she was ready to carry out her plan to take his pure heart. Her target was a young man with brunette hair in a small ponytail with eyes matching, and she wore a black and white striped polo with green pants.
"Hello there," greeted Mimete. "You're the famous Katakuri Ukon, am I right?"
"Yes, I am," said Katakuri, flashing a dazzling smile. "And you are...?"
"Just a fan that's admired your work for a long time," said Mimete. "I do love the manga you've written. You put so much passion into it."
"Well, I appreciate that," smiled Katakuri. "In fact, for complimenting me so kindly, how's about I sign a book for you?"
"But, there's something else I want from you," said Mimete. "Something that's for my boss." An evil glint flashed in her eye. "Your pure-heart crystal."
Katakuri looked up at Mimete feeling puzzled, in time to see for her to throw away her disguise and summon forth her Daimon Egg.
"Daimon! Show yourself!" commanded Mimete as she held up the egg as it zipped and flew around.
It soon came upon one of the papers on Katakuri's table and possessed it. It let out a massive puff of pink smoke, which turned into the shape of a cormorant, and the paper morphed and changed into a Daimon. She was a full-figured woman with blue skin, pointed ears, red eyes, a pair of horns coming out of her head, and wore glasses. Her attire consisted of a yellow with black stripes businesswoman's outfit with the top open and her shoulders exposed. Upon seeing the creature, all the people in line fled, screaming in terror as the Daimon cornered Katakuri in an empty lot.
Usagi and the others heard the commotion and saw Mimete and the Daimon.
"It's Mimete!" cried Usagi. "And she's after Katakuri!"
"Good grief!" complained Harusuke. "Why can't we ever go together as a group without running into a Daimon? It's starting to get annoying!"
The teens quickly found a place away from prying eyes and transformed.
"MOON COSMIC POWER MAKE UP!"
"MERCURY STAR POWER MAKE UP!"
"MARS STAR POWER MAKE UP!"
"JUPITER PLANET POWER MAKE UP!"
"VENUS PLANET POWER MAKE UP!"
"SOLAR CRYSTAL POWER SHINE ON!"
Transformation Sequence: Usagi
Usagi's Cosmic Heart Compact opens, revealing the pink heart-shaped crystal inside, waving her hand over it. It flashes twice and erupts in pink light. Usagi is now standing in the middle of a light blue heart that's spinning to the right. She stands one leg while holding up her arms and begins pirouetting in the opposite direction, going faster until, in a burst of light, pink ribbons envelop her torso and midsection, transforming into her leotard. She elegantly stretches out her arms, and pink ribbons cover them, forming into her gloves. She then raised her right foot high with incredible flexibility, and pink ribbons cloak it changing into her boots. The heart made of blue light then turns into a circle of sparkles swirling around her waist, forming her skirt and bow. Now no longer in light, Usagi spins around a couple of times like a ballerina and takes a slight bow. As she comes out from her bow, a crescent moon mark glows in the middle of her forehead. Then, a tiara appears bearing a gold symbol of the moon, along with her earrings, choker, and her ordango covers. Finally, Usagi opens her eyes, her transformation now complete, and strikes her signature pose.
Transformation Sequence: Harusuke (Post Crystal)
Harusuke's hand waves over the Sunstone Crystal, and it begins to pulse with light until it shines brightly. Harusuke, now shrouded in light, holds his hand with the Sunstone Crystal up high and throws his fist to the floor, and his symbol appears beneath him. Light encases his legs up to his hips, and in a burst of light, his boots, belt, and additional armor on his thighs materialize. Then his right encompasses his right arm from hand to shoulder, and his gloves, along with some armor, appear, and the same happens to his left hand. Harusuke then punches his fists together, creating a spark of light, and crosses his arms as his chest gets wrapped in light. Harusuke then throws his arms out, and his chest plate appears, the symbol in the middle glowing brightly. Finally, his helmet appears on his head, this time covering up his entire head, leaving his face exposed. Harusuke opens his eyes smiling with confidence, his transformation now complete, and assumes his signature pose, with the sun appearing in the background while his symbol overlapped it.
Transformation Sequence: Ami
Ami holds up her hand as blue sparkles swirled around it, alighting her fingernails turning them into a shade of bright blue. Her transformation stick appears spinning, and she takes hold of it, the star on end and the symbol glowing. It begins to turn as Ami is enveloped in blue light. Then she sweeps the pen over her head as a stream of sparkling blue water begins to emit from it, forming her leotard, boots, and gloves. A sparkling ripple and a flurry of bubbles expand over her body, creating a tiny mist of water that forms the rest of her uniform, the same as Sailor Moon's, but the center bow, boots, and rims on the gloves were blue and bright blue. Finally, she turns around and then strikes her signature pose.
Transformation Sequence: Rei
Rei's hand is held up as red sparkles swirl around it, alighting her fingernails, turning them into a shade of bright red. Her transformation stick appears spinning, and she takes hold of it, the star on end as well as the symbol glowing. It begins to turn as Rei is enveloped in red light. As she held up her pen while spinning around, long bright tongues of flame erupted from it, forming several rings around her body. They tighten around her body, and in a brilliant flash of light, her outfit forms having to look just like Sailor Moon's, but she is wearing red pumps along with a pair of red star-shaped earrings, the center bow is purple, and the rims of her gloves, her skirt, her choker, and collar are red. After that, Mars finishes with her signature pose.
Transformation Seuence: Makoto
The planet Jupiter appears, and Makoto puts her hand up, her fingernails begin to sparkle in bright green, and her transformation wand comes to her hand spinning, now having a different design. Her body now becomes silhouetted in green, as blue lightning erupted from her wand while holding it up. As she spins around a few times, until stopping with her back turned, the lightning swirls around her, forming rings like an atom. Finally, the lightning explodes, revealing Makoto in her green Sailor Uniform wearing green boots, a pair of rose earrings, a pink bow and ribbon, gloves with green trims, and a green skirt, choker, and collar. Makoto then turns around, and in the middle of her forehead, her symbol appears, and then her tiara materializes. Her transformation finished; she assumes her final pose, her sign and planet appearing in the background against a starry sky.
Transformation Seuence: Minako
The planet Venus appears, and Minako puts her hand up, her fingernails begin to sparkle in bright yellow, and her transformation wand comes to her hand spinning, now having a different design. Next, her body becomes silhouetted in yellow as yellow stars erupt from her wand while spinning around. As she stops, a yellow circle appears below her. Then, it explodes into several yellow stars, revealing Minako in her orange Sailor Uniform wearing orange heels, a pair of earrings, a blue bow in front, and yellow ribbon in the back, gloves with orange trims, and an orange skirt, choker, and collar. Minako then turns around, and in the middle of her forehead, her symbol appears, and her tiara materializes. Her transformation finished; she assumes her final pose, her sign and planet appearing in the background against a starry sky.
The Daimon sucked deeply and soon extracted Katakuri's pure-heart crystal and swallowed it whole. Then, the Guardians arrived.
"Hold it right there, Mimete! And your Daimon, too!" said Sailor Moon. "There are still people who hadn't received autographs! How dare you damage such beauty by gobbling up their chance to have one?! We are the Pretty Guardians who fight for love and justice! And now in the name of the moon...!"
"we'll punish you!" the six Guardians said together.
"You showed up again, eh?! Well, you won't get away this time!" Mimete snarled. "U Henshu! Get rid of them!"
"As you wish, Chief Editor!" acknowledged U Henshu.
"I am not your editor!" snapped Mimete. "Just hurry and get them!"
At her command, the Daimon went on the attack, conjuring multiple pieces of paper at once, sending them straight towards the Guardians. The Guardians scattered, dodging them as they cut through the metal fence like butter and pierced into the wall like darts. Sailor Mars and Sailor Jupiter then counterattacked.
"MARS BURNING MANDALA!"
"JUPITER COCONUT CYCLONE!"
The Guardian of Fire released an array of fire rings while the Guardian of Thunder conjured a ball of blue lightning and launched it. Both of the attacks destroyed the papers turning them into ash in seconds. Solaris and Sailor Venus then gunned for Mimete.
"SOLARIS NOVA FLARE!"
"VENUS WINK CHAIN SWORD!"
Solaris unleashed a powerful white light beam from his hand while Venus released several large heart-linked light chains. Mimete dodged both attacks by jumping quickly into the air and summoned her wand.
"CHARM BUSTER!"
With a wave of her wand, she made several stars appear around her and, at her command, launched them at her enemies. The Guardians scattered, trying to avoid the blasts, but U Henshu took advantage and launched some more papers. This time, they grew into large sizes, and before the Guardians could react, they fell right on top of them, sticking to the ground and pinning them underneath.
"D-Damn it! I'm stuck!" cried Solaris, and he struggled.
"This paper feels like it weighs a ton!" complained Sailor Venus.
The other Guardians tried to help their friends, but U Henshu brought her hands back and threw several wooden spikes, forcing them to dodge. Mimete then aimed her wand at Sailor Venus and Solaris, ready to blast them with her Charm Buster, while they were defenseless when suddenly, a World Shaking came shooting from out of nowhere, forcing the witch to jump out of the way to dodge. A Deep Submerge also came shooting out towards U Henshu, who defended herself by turning her hand into an umbrella, deflecting it. Sailor Uranus and Neptune then appeared on the scene.
"Hey! You can't just show up here, uninvited!" complained Mimete.
"We don't need an invitation from you," said Sailor Uranus. "You being here is more than enough of one."
"And the pure-heart crystal you're trying to steal," added Sailor Neptune. "So if you know what's good for you, you'll hand it over."
Mimete growled in annoyance. "U Henshu! Hurry up and take them down!" she cried.
U Henshu roared as she gunned straight for the two. But the two guardians separated, and each went for an opponent, Sailor Uranus, U Henshu, and Sailor Neptune, Mimete. As the four fought, Sailor Moon and the others saw a chance and rushed over to help their friends. It took a bit of a few tugs on the paper, but soon enough, they were finally able to tear it off.
"Thanks for the help!" said Solaris. "Now, let's take them down!"
He clenched his fist, gathering an immense amount of power, while Sailors Venus, Mercury, and Moon attacked too.
"MOON TIARA ACTION!"
"SOLARIS ARROW OF SOL!"
"MERCURY BUBBLE SPRAY!"
Sailor Moon launched her tiara, while Solaris released a golden arrow of light and Sailor Mercury let loose a flurry of bubbles. All three attacks combined into a disc shining with white and gold with a swirl of bubbles and struck U Henshu right in the stomach, sending her flying and smacking into the wall, stunning her. Solaris and Sailor Moon then seized their chances summoning forth their weapons. Solaris's blade turned white as he traced a circle and took a stance, while Sailor Moon spun around while twirling her Cutie Moon Rod until she struck a pose.
"MOON SPIRAL HEART ATTACK!"
"SOLARIS CELESTIAL BLADE SLASH!"
U Henshu looked up in time to see Solaris's sword slice her straight down her middle while a powerful blast of hearts shot into her. Then, in a powerful explosion, the Daimon was no more, leaving only the crystal, the page, and the Daimon Egg. Immediately, the Daimon began to pulse while radiating with power and started to grow in size until it changed into its second form. It was now a large reptilian with large claws, a big tail, and piercing red eyes.
"Oh, boy. Should have seen this coming!" squeaked Sailor Moon.
"Sailor Venus! I need you!" Solaris yelled as he looked back at her. "You ready?"
Sailor Venus gave him a thumbs up. "You got it!"
The two held hands while closing their eyes, and they both started to glow in bright yellow, synchronizing with one another.
"UNISON FUSION! PLANETARY ALIGNMENT!"
Transformation: Unknown.
Solaris and Sailor Venus stood back to back, holding hands as their bodies radiated with light Solaris being gold and Sailor Venus's being yellow. They both hold up one of their hands, and their symbols appear above them, both of them overlapping one another. Then, the two let go, and they shoot into the air flying in a swirl, their bodies silhouetted with their respective colors. They fly closer together until they finally merge in a bright flash of gold and yellow. A girl's silhouette in gradient colors of gold and yellow flies through their overlapping symbols standing on top of them. Boots and gloves materialize around the girl's feet, along with clothes and armor mixed with Solaris and Sailor Venus's outfits colored yellow and gold. The girl opens her eyes and poses while Solaris and Venus's symbols appear in the background.
"We can handle the Daimon!" the fusion spoke in Solaris's voice. "In the meantime, you girls, go and get that crystal and make sure Katakuri's safe!"
"We're on it!" the other Guardians spoke.
The fusion then shot towards the Daimon while the other Guardians went for the heart crystal and Katakuri. Sailor Moon and Sailor Mercury went to Katakuri and carried him to safety, but as Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Mars went for the crystal, Mimete used her wand to fire her Charm Buster attack to block their path.
"That crystal is mine!" she cried as she shot towards it, stretching out her hand.
But someone else beat Mimete to the punch first, shooting right across from her and snatching the crystal, the perpetrator being Sailor Uranus. Sailor Uranus quickly inspected the crystal.
"Looks like you wasted your time for nothing, Mimete," said Sailor Uranus with a smirk. "It's just a pure heart crystal with no talisman."
Mimete stared blankly. "What?! Well, then forget this!" she cried. "I'm out of here!"
And she teleported away. Sailor Uranus then threw the talisman to Sailor Jupiter as she caught it.
"Make sure you put that crystal back," she said. "Let's go, Neptune."
The two Guardians then teleported away.
Back with the Daimon, the fusion was hammering it with a series of punches and kicks while Sailors Mercury and Moon took Katakuri to a safe distance. When they were far enough away from her, the fusion gave the Daimon a sharp kick to its jaw, forcing it onto his hind legs and falling flat on its back with a thud. The fusion then held out her hands and conjured a bow and arrow, pulling the string tightly while aiming straight for the Daimon's underbelly.
"SOLARIS VENUS CRESCENT ARROW SHOT! ! !"
The fusion then fired, the arrow shooting as fast as a rocket, and pierced the monster's hide. The Daimon exploded in a giant burst of light upon contact, eradicating it, leaving the Daimon Egg, which shattered into pieces after a few seconds.
"Oh, yeah!" the fusion said in Sailor Venus's voice, pumping her fist in triumph. "Score one for Sailor Venus De Milo!"
"Venus De Milo?" the fusion repeated in Solaris's voice. "Tell me you're not serious."
"Come on, it's a cool name, isn't it?" the fusion spoke in Venus's voice.
"Sorry, Venus, but that name isn't gonna fly," the fusion spoke as Solaris. "Lest you want to get sued for copyright."
The fusion pouted. "Aww, but it sounded so cool," the girl complained in Sailor Venus's voice.
The other Guardians chuckled at this exchange.
"Come on, you two. We'll work on names a little later," said Sailor Mercury. "For now, let's give Katakuri his crystal back and go home."
Everyone nodded in agreement.
After that, the teens went over to the Game Center Crown arcade and hung out together to pass the time. As they did, Harusuke sat on the bench, still thinking about Hotaru, Chibiusa, and most of all, Haruka's warning. He did indeed feel worried, but at the same time, he knew that aside from Hotaru's illness, she was a friendly and kind girl. At least, that's what he had thought.
Then, Usagi came over. "Hey, Bro. Mako and I were going to play a round of Battle Lap," she said. "You want next game?"
"No thanks. I'm fine," said Harusuke. "You can go ahead and take my turn if you want."
But Usagi sat down next to him. "Still thinking about Hotaru, huh?" she asked.
Harusuke across to her sister, a little surprised, but he sighed while looking at the ceiling. "Is it that obvious?"
"Nah. Just a little sister's intuition," said Usagi."Didn't I tell you that there's no reason for you to worry? Hotaru's situation may be a bit complicated, but she seems like a good kid, and no matter what anyone says, we'll be there for her one-hundred percent. Chibiusa, too."
Harusuke glanced over at his sister, then as he turned back towards the floor, he smiled. "You know, it's not every day you give me good advice, Sis," he said. "You sure you ain't trying to get in my good graces so that I can buy you some snacks?"
Usagi pouted. "Hey! I'm trying to be serious here!" she huffed. But a sly grin crossed her face. "Although, if you bought me some pork buns, that would be nice."
Harusuke couldn't help but chuckle. "Maybe tomorrow, Sis."
"Usagi's right. There's no reason for me to worry," Harusuke thought to himself. "Hotaru's not bad, and it's not like she's evil. So I'll just keep an eye on her. Hopefully, Haruka's just overreacting."
