Usagi and the gang were having drinks and ice cream together at the Fruits Parlor Crown. While they did, Usagi focused on reading a book titled "The Moon Night Pegasus." Chibiusa, Makoto, and even Ami were reading it a bit, and even Unazuki couldn't help but stop by.
As she finished reading a part of a chapter, Usagi was overcome with emotion, tears streaming down her cheeks.
"This is such a beautiful and touching story!" she wept. "The tale of unrequited love between a pegasus and a woman! It makes me cry no matter how many times I read it!"
"I know. I've read that book myself," smiled Unazuki. "It's no surprise it's sold over a million copies."
"I'm just surprised that Usagi's even reading a novel," Rei spoke teasingly. "Normally, she would only read either manga or picture books. It makes me wonder who bribed her."
"Hey, that's not very nice, Rei!" huffed Usagi. "Besides, you probably haven't even read it yourself, have you?"
Rei then flinched, unable to come up with a comeback.
"You can't blame her. I must have cried at least ten times when I read it," said Minako. "It's such a good book."
"One day, I hope that I'll be able to fall passionately in love like that," Unazuki sighed dreamily.
"Me too," concurred Ami. "Even I was surprised by how moving the story was.
Now, Rei began to feel a bit sheepish as well as surprised. "Even Ami's read the book? It really must be an incredible novel. I'm so behind!"
As she read the book, Chibiusa's eyes were wide with wonder if the author who wrote it knew the same Pegasus as she did.
Then, she noticed Makoto and Harusuke. Harusuke was staring out the window while Makoto stared at her book copy, surprise evident on her face.
A little later, Usagi, Harusuke, Chibiusa, Luna, Diana, and Makoto all went together to Juuban Park to talk. Usagi and Chibiusa were quick to ask Harusuke about his current state having an idea of why.
"Well, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little worried about it," said Harusuke. "Given that my powers haven't been up to snuff lately."
"I still can't believe that happened," suggested Makoto. "You think your power could be going under some kind of evolution like before?"
"That would be plausible theory," said Luna. "But if that's the case, you'd better be prepared for sudden changes, Harusuke. Hopefully, your bracelet doesn't break again."
"I hope so, too, Luna," said Harusuke as he looked at his crystal. "Because as things stand now, if this goes on, I'm worried I'll end up being a burden again. I want to think that it's a phase, but I can't help but worry if it's something else."
Usagi slapped Harusuke on the shoulder to pep him up. "Come on, Harusuke! I'm sure it'll be OK!" she encouraged. "After all, you're the guardian of the sun! You've bounced back from tougher things than this!"
"Yeah, Usagi's right," agreed Chibiusa. "And if you are going through a phase, maybe you'll gain an even cooler power."
Harusuke smiled a little. "Maybe," he said with a bit of hope.
"By the way, Mako. You seemed surprised when we talked about that book," said Chibiusa. "Did you find the book to be as moving as we did?"
"Well, yeah, but it's nothing serious like that," said Makoto. "The thing is, and this may be hard to believe, but you know the author of that book, Tomoko Takase? I used to be classmates with her before I transferred schools."
The three Tsukinos, along with Luna and Diana, were surprised.
"But that would mean that she's around the same age as you, Usagi, and Harusuke," said Luna.
"And, definitely a huge difference in talent," Diana spoke as she looked across to Usagi.
"Watch it, kitten, and mind your business," Usagi huffed at the gray feline. "But, why did you keep something so important from us until now, Mako?"
"Well, if I mentioned it, I figured you guys would think I was bragging about being acquaintances with a celebrity," said Makoto. "Even if I didn't mean to."
Usagi sheepishly scratched her cheek. "Well, that would make a lot of sense when you put it that way."
"And knowing Usagi, she would probably go around telling everyone about it for sure," said Harusuke.
Diana, Luna, and Chibiusa nodded in agreement while Usagi puffed her cheeks in a pout.
Makoto then leaned back, staring up into the sky, her eyes filling with nostalgia. "To think that it all started with a suggestion I made to her," she said with a smile. "I told her she should try sending her story to a magazine. Then, I would read her manuscript and tell her what I thought about it. That alone encouraged her to keep writing until, eventually, her hard work paid off as she released her debut novel, the same one you're reading now."
"Then, it all thanks to you that we're able to read Tomoko's novel," Chibiusa spoke brightly. "Because you discovered her writing talent and helped inspire her."
"I guess you can say that," Makoto spoke shyly. "But that was a long time ago." She then frowned. "She's a best-selling author now, and because I got so distracted with personal stuff, I never got the chance to congratulate her properly. And I'm starting to wonder if she's forgotten all about me."
Everyone could see that Makoto was a bit sad and wanted to cheer her up.
Then, Usagi got an idea. "Hey, Mako, why don't we all go to Tomoko's place next Sunday and have her autograph our books?"
Makoto didn't seem so sure.
"I think it might be a good idea," Usagi continued. "This will give you a chance to see her, and I'm sure she'd be happy to see you, too."
"Now, hold on a minute, Usagi," interjected Luna. "Just because you want to see her doesn't mean the others won't be as -."
But then Chibiusa cut in. "I want to meet her, too!" she said eagerly. "I want to meet the very person who this wonderful story!"
"So would I," Harusuke chimed in. "Plus, it'd be a good chance to meet such a famous writer, and Mako can catch up with her friend, so it's a win-win." He looked over to Makoto. "So, what do you say? You in?"
Makoto hesitated for a brief moment, but then she nodded. "Why not? I haven't seen her in a while, and it'll be nice to see her again."
In the Dead Moon Circus tent, the Amazon Trio stood before Zirconia again, but the old hag was angry.
"What's the matter with you three?!" Zirconia barked crossly. "You three have searched so many targets, and yet you still haven't been able to find Pegasus?! Just how incompetent are you?!"
"But, Madame Zirconia, let us explain," Tiger's Eye objected. "We-!"
"Silence!" Zirconia yelled. "Despite putting your care into your flashy appearances, your brains are about as empty and full of hot air as balloons!"
Then, Zircon, the old lady's pet eyeball, came flapping in, going over to Zirconia's staff and resting on top of it. It then released a small beam from its Eye, and a photograph appeared of a young girl with glasses and green hair styled in two thick braids.
Zirconia grabbed it and threw it towards the Amazon Trio, and Tiger's Eye caught it, taking a look at it along with Hawk's Eye and Fish's Eye.
"Try that girl next," ordered Zirconia.
"I know this girl. She's that best-selling author who wrote that book," recognized Tiger's Eye. "The Moon Night Pegasus, I believe it was."
Hawk's Eye sniggered snidely. "Oh, yeah. I've read that book. It was the most hilariously awful thing I've ever read!"
"It sure was, especially that lame part about the Pegasus giving his life for the girl," laughed Fish's Eye. "How lame can you get?"
"Enough!" Zirconia snapped. "Be that as it may, her story has captivated the hearts of the people in this town. Therefore, this girl may know something about Pegasus."
"In that case, leave her to me, Madame Zirconia," Tiger's Eye spoke confidently. "A young female author who writes ephemeral love stories will be like putty in my hands."
Sunday soon came, and Usagi and her group were now walking to Tomoko's place, feeling excited.
"I still can't believe it!" Minako gushed excitedly. "I'd never thought that Mako would be friends with the Tomoko Takase! Like they say, "A celebrity in need is a celebrity indeed."
"That's "a friend in need" Minako," corrected Artemis flatly.
"I can't believe we're going to get her autograph!" Usagi squealed. "I brought an extra copy just for her to sign!"
And to prove, the ordango dug into her bag and took out the two copies.
Rei then smiled smugly. "What an amateur," she spoke importantly. "If you want it signed, you must get three copies."
She then took out three copies of Moon Night Pegasus, much to everyone's bewilderment.
"But, why three copies, Rei?" wondered Ami.
"And where did you get the money to buy three of them?" asked Harusuke.
"It's simple," said Rei. "One to read at home, one to keep stored away, and the last one to show off to people. And let's say I have ways of getting the money I need."
Everyone couldn't help but stop to stare as Rei continued, chuckling giddily.
"I guess some things never change," sighed Luna. "Even after this time, Rei's bad habits always show."
Makoto then resumed walking as she looked around the neighborhood they were in. "This sure brings back memories," she said. "Tomoko's house should be right around the corner, so let's get going."
Usagi and the others could see that Makoto had a little pep in her step as she went ahead.
"It looks like Ms. Makoto seems very happy," said Diana.
"Of course, she is," smiled Minako. "She's happy that she's going to get her autograph signed!"
Everyone looked across at Minako blankly.
"Somehow, I feel like that's more your reason rather than Mako's reason, Minako," Harusuke spoke with exasperation.
But as they rounded the corner, the group saw a rather unexpected sight. A large group of people stood outside of the front gates of the house, every one of them clamoring and shouting.
At the same time, Tiger Eye, under human disguise, appeared around the opposite side of the crowd. He was planning to make good on his confidence, hoping to take advantage of Tomoko having a lot of female fans while she never met a handsome male. However, his mood soon changed the moment he saw the crowd.
"No way! I have to compete against all of them?!" he growled crossly. "Well, they won't beat me!"
The blonde male stomped over to the crowd and shoved a male in a suit out of the way, and that was the straw that broke the camel's back. A brawl ensued with Tiger's Eye in the middle of the chaos as he, along with the other people, slugged and kicked each other.
Usagi and the others quickly came over, with Makoto leading them.
"Hey! What's going on here?!" demanded Makoto. "What's this all about?!"
Immediately, the fighting stopped, and a male started explaining.
"None of us can contact Tomoko, and she's way past her deadline for her manuscript! It seems as though she's disappeared!"
Makoto was shocked, as were the others.
"Maybe... she ran away from all the pressure?" suggested Minako brightly. "That would make sense."
"Minako, quiet!" shushed Harusuke. "A little insensitive, don't you think?!"
"Tomoko would never do that!" Makoto suddenly burst out. "Writing novels means everything to her! It's all she has!"
Everyone jumped at her outburst, and before they could say anything, Makoto took off running as fast as she could to search for Tomoko.
Eventually, Makoto led the others to the one place where she knew that Tomoko would be. It was by a tree at the bottom of a bridge next to a small river. And sure enough, when she arrived, Makoto saw the very person who had tears trickling down her cheeks as she sat there, crying.
"Tomoko!" Makoto called as she jogged toward her friend. "I had a feeling I'd find you here just like back when."
The girl jumped in surprise, and when she saw Makoto coming, she hurriedly wiped her eyes, trying to hide her tears.
"Why are you hiding back here?" demanded Makoto. "I thought it was your dream to write novels for a living. Are you just going to throw all that away now?"
Then, Tomoko spoke, her voice trembling in self-loathing. "I can't write," she said quietly. "I look at a blank page and can't write a single sentence. The words just don't come to me anymore."
Makoto was surprised, as were the others, unable to speak as Tomoko continued to berate herself.
"I'm useless! I won't be able to write a story better than "The Moon Night Pegasus"! I don't even have a dream to work towards anymore!"
And before Makoto could say anything more, Tomoko shot up and ran away in tears.
Not too far away, a disheveled Tiger's Eye was hiding in the weeds in the river, having heard everything.
"Well, well, well. It seems as though the young author's got a case of writer's block," he spoke to himself with a smile. "This is the perfect time for a change of plans. I'll take advantage of her sadness and swoop in for the kill." He then shuddered due to his lower body being drenched in water. "But first... I better get a change of clothes."
It was now getting to nightfall and close to closing time at the Fruit's Parlor Crown. Makoto had been sitting inside, staring out the window, thinking about Tomoko for quite some time. Usagi, Chibiusa, Harusuke, Luna, and Diana came to check up on her as Unazuki was getting ready to go home.
"Did something happen to Mako?" Unazuki asked worriedly. "She looks so sad."
"Well, sort of," Usagi replied, unsure what to say.
Harusuke then walked over to Makoto's table. "Mako, you know it's time for Unazuki to close up shop," he said gently. "You've been sitting here for a long time now."
Makoto finally looked up. "Oh yeah? I hadn't even noticed," she said.
Harusuke then took a seat while Usagi and the others came over too.
"You're still worried about Tomoko, aren't you, Mako?" asked Usagi.
Makoto answered with a nod. "I just don't understand what could have happened to her," she said. "She used to love writing, but now she seems to have lost her passion for it."
"Why don't you tell us more about her?" suggested Harusuke. "Like, what was she like back when you first met her?"
Makoto then recollected the very first time she met Tomoko and how she came to learn about her writing skills.
This memory happened a couple of years ago before Makoto transferred to Juuban Middle School, and at the same spot by the tree next to the river under the bridge.
Tomoko was being bullied by three boys that went to the same school, tossing a large pad of paper.
"Stop it! Give it back!" begged Tomoko. "Please!"
But the boys didn't listen as they continued to taunt her, tossing the paper back and forth.
Then, Makoto happened to walk by, and when she saw what was happening, she didn't hesitate to intervene. "Hey! What do you think you're doing?!" she barked.
Knowing who Makoto was, given her background, the boy dropped Tomoko's papers and raced away like a trio of jackrabbits.
"Th-Thank you for helping me," Tomoko spoke timidly.
"Instead of thanking me, you should've kicked their butts," replied Makoto as she picked up her manuscript, taking notice of her uniform. "Say, don't you attend the same school I do?"
Tomoko nodded. "We're in the same class, too," she said.
Makoto then shyly scratched her cheek. "Sorry about that," she apologized. "I just transferred here, so I don't know anyone yet."
Then, she took notice of Tomoko's papers and, curious, started to read them.
"Is this an essay or something for school?" she wondered.
"No, it's my manuscript," Tomoko spoke timidly.
Makoto grew all the more curious as she started reading the manuscript. Tomoko tried to take it back, but Makoto moved out of her reach as she continued to read.
"Pl-Please give that back," Tomoko pleaded. "I just completed it and wasn't planning to show it to anyone yet."
"Stop talking," said Makoto. "I'm still reading it."
Tomoko then went silent, not saying another word.
And so, for the next couple of hours, Makoto carefully read through Tomoko's manuscript page by page until she finally stopped and looked up at Tomoko while handing back her manuscript.
"It's good," she said with a smile. "I like your novel so far. I may not look it, but I'm a fan of reading, and I've never been drawn into a story like this one before!"
Tomoko was surprised but was also grateful for the praise. "Thank you for saying so," she said humbly. "But I'm sure that you're just being nice."
"Look, I don't give empty compliments to just anyone I don't know," said Makoto. "Let me know if you write any more, OK?"
And Makoto walked away, leaving Tomoko at a loss for words but filled with new confidence for herself and admiration for Makoto.
A few days later, at school, Tomoko was watching the school's soccer team practice on the field from behind the shadows of the trees. Most of the boys were pretty athletic and good-looking, but one particular guy was one that Tomoko was deeply in love with, a young ace on the team as athletic as was handsome.
Then, Makoto snuck up to her with two cans of cold tea. She then pressed a can of tea to her forehead, making her jump.
"So, that's your type of guy, Tomoko?" Makoto grinned as she handed her a can. "The strong and athletic?"
Tomoko went pink as she accepted the tea. "Not exactly," she said shyly. "It's just that whenever I watch him play, I get all sorts of inspiration for stories."
"So, does he know that you like him?" asked Makoto.
Tomoko's cheeks then turned red. "W-Well, no. He doesn't," she replied. "But, it's not like I can bring myself to anyway. He's so popular and probably wouldn't even notice me."
Makoto could see that Tomoko was crushing pretty bad on the ace and wanted to help her. But then, she had an idea.
"Hey! Why don't you submit your novel to a magazine?" she suggested. "That way, if it gets published and talked about, he'll have to notice you!"
Tomoko was surprised at such an idea and also a bit worried. "But... what if I fail?" she asked. "Do you honestly think that I can do it?"
"Sure you can! I guarantee you've got this!" Makoto spoke in approval. "I believe in you, Tomoko!"
Tomoko then smiled, her confidence sparkling in her eyes. "OK. I'll do it."
"And that's how I met Tomoko," finished Makoto. "And from there, I'm sure you can figure out the rest of the story."
Usagi and the others were silent, processing what Makoto had just told them.
Then, Harusuke spoke up. "Say, Makoto. You said that Tomoko had a crush on a guy from your old school, right?" he questioned. "And you encouraged her to submit her story to get noticed by that guy."
Makoto answered with a nod.
"And if I recall correctly, the plot of "The Moon Night Pegasus" is about a pegasus who falls in love with a human woman only to have its love go tragically unrequited," Harusuke continued as he tapped his chin in thought. He then blinked. "I wonder... Could it be...?"
"What's up, Harusuke?" asked Usagi.
"I think I may have figured out why Tomoko can't write," said Harusuke. "It's just a guess, but - !"
"Please tell us!" urged Makoto. "If you have any idea, please tell us so we can help Tomoko!"
Harusuke then told everyone his theory, and when he did, the girls couldn't help but be surprised.
"No way! Do you think that's the reason why?!" Usagi asked incredulously.
"I don't know for sure, but it would make sense," Harusuke said with a frown. "The only way to know for sure is to talk to Tomoko."
Makoto's hands balled up into fists in vexation, now feeling more worried for Tomoko.
Then, Unazuki noticed something as she looked around.
"Hold on, where did Chibiusa go?" she wondered.
Everyone looked around and saw that the pink ordango and Diana were no longer in the cafe.
Usagi then had an idea as to where they went. "Hold on. You don't think she..." she spoke before trailing off.
"Most likely," said Harusuke. "Come on. Let's catch up with her."
Back at her house, inside her room, Tomoko was beside herself in sadness, sitting at her desk crying while surrounded by several crumpled-up balls of paper. She was still having trouble writing anything for a story, and she knew why.
A couple of days ago, at a book sighting, she happened to see her old high school crush, but much to her horror and shock, he had hooked up with another girl, and since then, her heart was in shambles along with her motivation to write. However, from her perspective, everyone else seemed to care only for her writing while she suffered in silence.
"No matter what I write, nobody seems to care how I feel," Tomoko wept.
Then, she heard a voice coming from outside.
"Tomoko! Are you there?! Tomoko!"
Wondering who it was, Tomoko walked over to her open window, pulled the curtains, and looked outside. On the lower level and outside the gates stood Chibiusa carrying her book while Diana rested on her head.
"Tomoko! I've seen Pegasus, too!" Chibiusa called out. "It was a beautiful horse with wings like the one in your book! Reading about it touched my heart, and I couldn't believe you shared the same dream as I did! And that's why I want to read more of your stories!"
But despite hearing this, Tomoko quickly whipped the curtains over her window and covered her ears in frustration.
"I'm sorry, but I can't!" Tomoko yelled. "I just can't write anymore!"
Then, Tomoko heard another voice, this time one she knew.
"So you're just going to give up and return to the timid and shy Tomoko you were before?!"
Tomoko then peeked through the curtain and saw Makoto standing outside along with Harusuke, Usagi, and Luna, who had joined Chibiusa a little bit ago.
Diana and Chibiusa were worried, but Usagi quieted them with a wink, silently telling them to let Makoto handle it.
"Listen, Tomoko! Thanks to a friend, I think I know why you can't write!" Makoto went on calling. "It's because of what happened to that guy you liked. It didn't work out, didn't it?"
Tomoko pulled over her curtain again, staring at Makoto in surprise.
"I get that it sucks having the one you like taken away, I feel you, but that's no reason to quit the one thing you love!" Makoto continued. "You would hide your novels inside your desk because you were too embarrassed to let people read your work! Are you going to go back to being a coward again? Remember the commitment that you made yourself?! If a single person wanted to read your story, you would finish it for them! The dreams you write about don't belong to just you anymore! And if you've lost inspiration or a guy, you will find another! I know you will!"
Tomoko stared speechlessly at Makoto, feeling moved by her speech. Then, a small tugged at her cheeks after a few seconds, feeling a bit better while Makoto smiled back, as did Usagi and the rest.
But then came trouble. A mysterious man in a blue suit with glasses suddenly appeared behind Tomoko, surprising them all.
It was Tiger's Eye.
"Wh-Who are you?" asked Tomoko.
"Forgive me for not introducing myself sooner, Ms. Takase," said Tiger's Eye as he handed her a business card. "I have been assigned as your new editor, Taiga of Dead Publishing."
"Dead Publishing?" repeated Tomoko in confusion. "I've never heard of it."
Tiger's Eye then smirked darkly with predatory eyes. "A writer who keeps to herself in her room falling in love with her editor," he said with a chuckle. "Let me burn your heart with the fire of my love!"
Then, with a snap of his fingers, Tiger's Eye shed his disguise, brandishing his whip.
As she ran out on the balcony, Tomoko screamed in surprise and fright, but Tiger's Eye snapped his fingers again, making the slab appear. At the same time, metal clamps closed around her ankles and wrists, and while letting in agony, Tomoko's dream mirror came out of her body.
Seeing everything that had happened, Usagi and the gang sprang into action.
"MOON CRISIS MAKE UP!"
"SOLAR CRYSTAL POWER SHINE ON!"
"JUPITER PLANET POWER MAKE UP!"
Transformation Sequence: Usagi and Chibiusa.
Both Usagi's Crisis Moon Compact and Chibiusa's Chibi Moon Compact open and their crystals inside of them. They both begin to flash until they erupt with pink light. Usagi and Chibiusa, while enveloped in light with their compacts affixed to the middle of their chests, stand side by side as pink ribbons made of light burst from their brooches, trailing and flapping in the wind like capes. First, as she turns around, they wrap around Usagi, forming her leotard, and the same happens to Chibiusa. Next, the two stood back-to-back, bending backward elegantly as their skirt, boots, and ribbons materialized. Then, as they move around face-to-face, Chibiusa kisses Usagi's cheek, and as she pulls away, her tiara and other accessories appear along with Usagi's. The two then open their eyes, their transformations completed, they both turn one and strike their signature poses while a yellow moon with a pink with roses on the side appear in the background.
Transformation Sequence: Harusuke (Post Crystal)
Harusuke's hand waves over the Sunstone Crystal and begins to pulse with light until it shines brightly. Harusuke, now shrouded in light, holds his hand with the Sunstone Crystal up high, throws his fist to the floor, and his symbol appears beneath him. Light encases his legs up to his hips, and his boots, belt, and additional armor on his thighs materialize in a burst of light. Then his right encompasses his right arm from hand to shoulder, and his gloves, along with some armor, appear, and the same happens to his left hand. Harusuke then punches his fists together, creating a spark of light, and crosses his arms as his chest gets wrapped in light. Harusuke then throws his arms out, and his chest plate appears, the symbol in the middle glowing brightly. Finally, his helmet appears on his head, covering up his entire head, leaving his face exposed. Harusuke opens his eyes smiling with confidence, his transformation now complete, and assumes his signature pose, with the sun appearing in the background while his symbol overlaps it.
Transformation Seuence: Makoto
The planet Jupiter appears, and Makoto puts her hand up, her fingernails sparkle in bright green, and her transformation wand comes to her hand spinning, now having a different design. Next, her body becomes silhouetted in green as blue lightning erupts from her wand while holding it up. As she spins around a few times, until stopping with her back turned, the lightning swirls around her, forming rings like an atom. Finally, the lightning explodes, revealing Makoto in her green Sailor Uniform wearing green boots, a pair of rose earrings, a pink bow and ribbon, gloves with green trims, and a green skirt, choker, and collar. Makoto then turns around, her symbol appears in the middle of her forehead, and then her tiara materializes. Her transformation finished, she assumes her final pose, her sign and planet appearing in the background against a starry sky.
"A girl like you must be filled with wonderful dreams," said Tiger's Eye. "Please allow me to take a look at them."
But just before he could check her Dream Mirror...
"JUPITER SPARKLING WIDE PRESSURE!"
A powerful lightning disc shot straight towards Tiger's Eye, who was so startled that he ducked out of the way just as the blast missed him by a hair.
"Hey! Who did that?!" he crossly demanded as he looked around.
"Someone who isn't going to let you lay a hand on Tomoko!" shouted a voice.
Tiger's Eye then looked down below the balcony and saw Super Sailor Moon and Chibi Moon, Sailor Jupiter, and Solaris below.
"How dare you pose as an editor to prey on a young author's dreams!" scolded Super Sailor Moon. "If you want to steal her dreams, you'll have to get by us first! We're the Pretty Guardians who fight for love and justice! I'm Super Sailor Moon!"
"And I'm Super Chibi Moon!" said the mini guardian.
"And I'm Sailor Jupiter!" she also proclaimed.
"And I'm Solaris the Sun Knight!" he also declared.
"And now, in the name of the moon, we'll punish you!" all four spoke simultaneously.
"I'm getting sick of you lot interfering!" Tiger's Eye huffed. "Some of us are trying to get some work done over here!" He cracked his whip, and his shadow came to life. "Now, come forth my Lemures, Tenko, the Deady Time Bomb Escape Magician!"
From his shadow, a female human-like apparition emerged.
She wore a magician's assistant outfit comprising a leotard colored yellow with red diamonds and a bowtie, a black sleeves jacket with long coattails, white gloves, red pumps, gold earrings shaped like keys, and a black bomb-like clock on top of her head. She also had pale blue skin, red eyes, and unkempt hair matching in color.
Tenko took to the air and set her sights on the Guardians. "All right then! For my first trick, I'll start by tying you up in chains!" she spoke out.
She lowered her head, and the strands of her hair extended, transforming into chains. Each one wrapped around the Guardians tightly and, with a strong swing, bound them together while hurling them to the ground. The Guardians struggled, trying to break free, but the chains held them tight.
Sailor Jupiter then crossed her arms with her index and pinky fingers extended as her signature antenna came out from her tiara.
"Sailor Jupiter! Don't!" yelled Luna knowing what she was going to do. "If you do that, you'll-!"
But it was too late.
"JUPITER SURPEME THUNDER!"
Sailor Jupiter's idea was to use her attack to try and break free from the chains, but thanks to the chains being made out of metal, she, along with the other Guardians, ended up getting shocked by her immense volts of electricity.
Tiger's Eye laughed. "Serves you right, you bunch of bumpkins!" he sneered as he faced Tomoko's dream mirror. "Now, while they're shocked and stunned..."
He then stuck his head inside the Dream Mirror, looking around inside her dream for Pegasus. He soon popped his head back out, filled with disappointment.
"What a waste of time!" Tiger's Eye huffed. "Despite her having a beautiful dream, Pegasus wasn't in there! And this girl one was Madame Zirconia's pick! Tenko, please dispose of them all and make it quick?"
"Can do, Tiger's Eye!" said Tenjko. "I'll go ahead and set the timer!"
The clock hands of the clock on her head spin rapidly around a few times. Then, it popped off her head, zoomed over to the guardians stopping just before them, and began to tick.
"Is that what I think it is?!" Super Sailor Moon squeaked.
"Yup! It's a time bomb!" Tenko spoke brightly. "In about thirty seconds, and then KABOOM! So do your best to escape, OK?"
All the Guardians could only stare in horror and tried to break free from their chains again as the bomb continued to tick away while Tiger's Eye and Tenko laughed.
Then, it happened.
As Solaris desperately tried to break free, he saw they didn't have much time, making his adrenaline pump. But then, he saw Tiger's Eye laughing at him, and when he did, he immediately remembered the past instances when he was beaten by him and by the other Lemures, which made him angry.
"Damn that guy! Am I going to lose to him again?! All while he's laughing in my face?! No way! I can't lose to him! I have to beat him! Even though I'm probably not strong enough, I have to make him pay!"
At the same time, his solar prism began to release a couple of black sparks as strength and anger surged through his veins. Then, with a mighty roar, Solaris broke the chains setting himself and the other Guardians free.
Tiger's Eye and Tenko were surprised, as were Luna and Diana.
"Impossible! How did he break free?!" exclaimed Tiger's Eye.
But immediately after realizing she was free, Sailor Jupiter grabbed the bomb just as it counted down to the last ten seconds. "I think this belongs to you!" she smirked as she threw it with all of her might toward Tenko like a baseball.
Tenko squeaked with fright as she tried to get away, but as soon as the bomb was close enough, it exploded, erupting in a cloud of pink smoke, its force sending the lemures straight to the ground, creating a hole in the shape of her body.
"Super Sailor Moon! Super Sailor Chibi Moon! Now's your chance!" cried Diana.
The two super guardians summoned their Moon Kaleidoscopes just as Tenko pulled herself out of her hole.
"MOON GORGEOUS MEDITATION!"
Both Guardians unleashed powerful blasts from their wands, and with a mighty rainbow blast, Tenko shattered into pieces leaving only her shadow, which disappeared into a puff of smoke.
And while clicking his tongue in annoyance, Tiger's Eye summoned his wormhole and made his retreat.
Diana then went over to Solaris. "Master Solaris, how did you break free of the chains?" the gray kitten asked. "I didn't think anyone could break them."
"I'm not sure," Solaris spoke as he looked at his hand. "I guess I was so desperate to get away from the bomb, I was able to summon strength I didn't know I had."
"Well, either way, good work everyone," said Luna.
Then, Tomoko regained consciousness and, after being set free. And when she did, she happened to see the Guardians make their exit, taking flight into the sky. Upon seeing them, she couldn't help but stare in awe and amazement.
Not long after, Usagi and the gang went to check on Tomoko after she was able to recover.
"Tomoko, are you doing OK?" asked Makoto.
"Yes. I'm all right," Tomoko replied. "But, listen, Mako. I remembered what you said to me and what your little friend said. I couldn't help but feel moved by them, and thanks to that, I can write again! No, I want to write again! But, it won't be just for myself, but for everyone, and I won't give up either!"
Usagi and the teens smiled, but none was happier than Mako.
"That's great news!" she said proudly. "Good luck to you, Tomoko, and I hope your next story is as good as The Moon Night Pegasus!"
"And Mako, when I'm done with my new novel, will you be the first to read it?" asked Tomoko.
Makoto gave her a thumbs up. "I'd be honored to," she said with a wink. "You can always count on me to be your first reader."
Usagi and her group then waved goodbye and departed, as Tomoko went back inside to get started on her new novel. As soon as she got to her desk, she grabbed her pen and wrote the new novel's title along with these words on the paper.
