Disclaimer: Yes, I got the name from that Bojack Horseman Christmas special. I have no problem admitting that. Anyway, we're finally at the season one finale of Walton View! And it's a Christmas special. I can't wait to see what I end up doing with this one! Obviously a big focus is gonna go to Oliver, but let's see what happens from the title and onward.

Also, I don't own any Disney characters.

Walton View

Season one Episode nineteen: Oliver's Christmas Wish Part One

At the Wolf house, Tramp and Lady were sleeping snuggly in their beds together. Thanks to their blanket, and a little something extra, they were able to sleep through the cold night. However, their sleep concluded seconds later as Tramp's butt gave them their morning wake up call...

PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT

...And with that, Lady woke up from her sleep and looked at the digital clock in their room. She showed extra sensitivity to Tramp's fart smell than usual when wafting it away. When she saw the time, she instantly turned to Tramp in concern to wake him up. "Tramp! Your fart didn't go off until 8:30. The kids are late for school!"

Tramp started to wake up himself, smiling at Lady as he reminded her what day it was. "Winter break, Pidge. I'd be more worried about breakfast."

This led to Lady looking into the closet and seeing the Christmas presents she and Tramp bought for Scamp and his sisters. She smiled when she thought about spending Christmas in Walton View. "Our first Christmas in our new home." Lady started rubbing her belly, which was a little bigger than usual. "I couldn't wish for anything more."

"Just one week left to go." Tramp said as he walked up to Lady, caressing her lovingly as they thought about how wonderful Christmas was going to be. "And we'll make it our best Christmas yet." Tramp and Lady then shared a tender kiss, showing that they would do everything they could to make this the best Christmas possible for them, and for their children. They had one week to make it count. And they were going to make it count.

Scamp's front door was shown as he opened the door and called up to his parents to let him know where he was going. "Mom; dad; I'm off to Oliver's house because I wanna help him learn all about Christmas and I'm gonna head over there before you have time to comprehend this sentence okay bye!" Scamp ran over to Oliver's house after closing the door, only to slip on the front step and fall on his face. He then fell onto the ground after that due to bouncing off. After sitting up, he smiled while rubbing his head before he kept going. "I'm good!"

Scamp made his way to Oliver's house, and when he got there, he started knocking on his door excitedly. "Oliver! It's Winter Break! Hurry outside!" Oliver was finishing up breakfast when Tibbs came over to collect his plate, smiling when he heard Scamp's voice. "We gotta make the most of it!" Oliver hugged Tibbs before heading over to the door and putting his winter clothes on. Once he did, he heard Scamp call to him again. "We're gonna build up to Christmas and everything!"

Oliver opened the door excitedly with Scamp hugging him as he expressed how excited he was for his first Winter Break. "I almost don't know what to say, Scamp. I'm so close to my very first Christmas!"

Scamp pulled Oliver away as he expressed his love for Christmas. "It's amazing, Oilver! The best holiday in the world!" Scamp and Oliver went down Oliver's steps after closing the door and over to Scamp's house to join his family in a ride to the park. "There's a repeat of Thanksgiving dinner, cringey-ass songs people pretend to like, the perfect excuse to make hot chocolate, and it's all about family! How great is that!?"

Scamp's description of Christmas sounded amazing to Oliver. Especially the family part. The family he's gained since moving to Walton View has been incredible. It also got him thinking about something else that seemed to affect him somewhat. However, he focused on Scamp to avoid letting it ruin his day. "That last one sounds like a daily thing. Is there something special about Christmas family time?"

"Well, we get to watch Christmas themed movies together. One of them taught me about Hanukkah." Scamp revealed, and when he and Oliver went over to the van to wait, Scamp revealed something else about Christmas. "Oh; before I forget. Christmas is also a day where you get presents from Santa just for being nice!"

Collette was heard snorting as she walked over to the van. However, she didn't sound quite as callous as she usually did. "At least you're hanging out with your polite friend this time." Oliver, as expected, wasn't very happy to see Collette. "You seriously need to work on your holiday introductions, though."

Scamp sighed before explaining to Oliver what he was trying to do. "If Oliver's gonna love Christmas, then he has to start where we did: By believing in Santa." Scamp then remembered that Oliver was right there next to him. When he looked at his confused expression, and then back at Collette, he smiled nervously at what just happened. "Whelp, there's still showing him how great Christmas is."

"Good luck with that. Your current job is, pretty terrible." Collette advised, being... slightly nicer than usual, moving past Scamp and going towards the window seat. "Christ, dad really needs to get more seats installed on his car." Collette gasped as she thought of something that could happen. "I should wish for him to buy a bigger VAN for Christmas! One with automated features that make me live like a Queen!"

Scamp and Oliver rolled their eyes before Scamp closed the door as he explained who Santa was supposed to be. "Santa's supposed to be this fat old dude who gives kids gifts for being nice."

"That sounds nice." Oliver added, laughing a bit when he realized what he just did there. "What does he do to mean kids?"

"He puts coal in their stockings and tells them to learn some manners." Scamp answered, and he had some choice words for Mooch about that one. "I think I know a certain Sheepdog bully who's getting a pile as big as a bike!" Oliver laughed at the idea of that, climbing into the van with Scamp as they waited for the others to get ready. "By the way, Angel was talking about bringing the rest of our friends to that hill we went to when we became friends with her. She wants to carve the rest of their initials into the tree."

Oliver liked the sound of that, knowing the others would like knowing how Angel considers them close friends. "That sounds great." Scamp wrapped his arm around Oliver after they put their seat belts on, waiting for the others to get ready as they thought about how great Christmas was going to be.

Scamp and Oliver were now at the park, heading off to meet up with their friends for their first day of Winter Break. When they looked around, they saw all of them doing their usual stuff before they arrived. Angel was practicing her parkour skills in the winter time, continuing to go at her fastest speed over every park obstacle. Lucky was playing his guitar on the bench as Patch was drawing something nearby. This was revealed to be Tod and Copper, who were sitting against each other's backs. Copper was a blushing mess as he and Tod looked forward.

Once Patch finished, Scamp called over to them all excitedly. "Hey guys! We're finally here!" Angel stopped her parkour session and rushed over to Scamp and the others as the Terrier spoke up again. "Is everyone else excited for an awesome Winter Break!?"

"You'd better believe it!" Angel exclaimed, being especially excited to spend Christmas with Scamp. "You being there is gonna make it even more kickass."

Scamp smiled in response to that with Patch then showing him the drawing he made of Tod and Copper. "Check out what I drew." Scamp got a good look at the drawing, seeing that it was Tod and Copper looking forward while leaning on each others' backs. Tod was looking up confidently, and Copper was looking down shyly. There was also snow surrounding them as they smiled. "I wanted to capture a close bond of someone who was confident, and someone who was shy."

Tod and Copper got a look at the drawing next, absolutely loving how it turned out. Especially Copper, who was impressed that he didn't mess it up. "I can't believe I didn't fart during the process."

"Just shows how far you've come since you botched your audition for Jack the Knight!" Tod said proudly, being happy with how far Copper's come. "Do that in front of a real audience, and we'll be doing plays together like there's no tomorrow!"

Copper smiled at the thought of doing plays with Tod, and Oliver came up with an idea on what he could do for the school. "Speaking of which, I can see myself writing my own play for the school at some point."

Scamp loved the sound of that and was more than happy to let Oliver know. "Dude, that'd be so cool! I know you'd have so many awesome ideas for your first ever screenplay!"

Lucky finished playing his guitar for a bit to chime in with his own statement. "Let me know if you need a musical artist for this. I can set any mood you want at any time."

"I'll hold you up to that." Oliver said gratefully, knowing that Lucky would be able to provide a good score.

Scamp then got to rounding everyone up completely for what he had to say for all of them. "Alright, guys. This is our first Winter Break as a group, and it's gonna be awesome. We're gonna do all kinds of awesome Winter stuff, just like we did on our Snow Day! And we're gonna finish it off by making Christmas as great as it's always meant to be. And after that, we'll make New Years the most awesome that we can. Are we all ready to make the end of the year a strong one!?"

The others cheered in response to Scamp's words with Scamp smiling to Oliver, showing that this rang true for him especially. Scamp wanted to make sure that his first Christmas and New Years were something to remember. And he would do everything he could to make that happen.

Scamp and his friends were all sitting on the playground together as they discussed what they wanted for Christmas. Scamp and Oliver were sitting on the slides. Angel was hanging upside down on the monkey bars. Lucky and Patch were sitting on the upward steps. And Tod and Copper were at the top of the rock wall. Lucky was going first because, of course he wanted to. "I'm so getting a new memory drive for my PS5. Since my current one is almost used up, I have to take advantage of them finally making ones specifically for PS5 games while I can."

"That sounds awesome! I was hoping to get a new gaming setup myself." Scamp added, explaining why as he pictured it in his head. "Just imagine all of us having our own gaming channel on YouTube. We'd have the time of our lives!"

"You guys had better share your consoles with me for that!" Angel stated, since she didn't have a console of her own. She then stated what she wanted for Christmas. It was quite simple considering what she was like. "As for me, I'd love to gave my gun custom painted purple."

"Good luck finding someone indifferent enough about a child wielding a gun to make that happen." Patch snarked, seeing as this being almost impossible for Angel to pull off.

"I'll just buy the paint myself then." Angel retorted, feeling like she could custom paint her own gun no problem.

Patch then started talking about what he wanted for Christmas this year. What he wanted was much more practical. "I did some looking around, and they finally came out with something called 'Snow Wheels', designed specifically for wheelchairs." Patch patted one of his wheels as he brought up his own struggles with snow traversal. "I'm sure you've all seen the trouble I face when it comes to traversing through the Winter snow."

Oliver was shown wondering what he wanted as Tod spoke up about Patch's desires. "You should also consider getting wheels that can slow down well enough to keep you from going down hills."

"Ah, yes, because Scamp and Oliver live in a cul-de-sac on a hill. Very smart." Patch complimented, glad that Tod was also capable of practical thinking."

Tod then asked Copper what he would want as Copper played with one of his ears, which were quite long, obviously wanting to get what Copper wanted for him. "What's on your list, Copper?"

"Well, I've been meaning to check out this anime called Bungo Stray Dogs lately." Copper admitted, bringing up something he knew Tod would love. "I heard that show has moments powerful enough to make you cry. That's how I know it's engaging and written well." Fun fact: Bungo Stray Dogs is so far the only anime to make ME cry.

"Bungo Stray Dogs it is!" Tod said, confirming to Copper that he would get it for him. He immediately started searching for it on his phone as Copper got all giddy about getting to watch the show. "I'd personally love to get a sewing kit, even if I have to buy it myself. Getting to design my own costumes would be a real showstopper."

"Oliver and I could help you buy that if your parents can't." Scamp offered, and Tod smiled gratefully, despite the choice of words from Scamp hitting him a bit. It's not that his parents couldn't afford it. It's that he knew they wouldn't get it for him. Scamp then noticed that Oliver hadn't said anything yet, encouraging him to speak up about what he wanted. "What about you, Oliver? What do YOU want for Christmas?"

Oliver was struggling to speak up, wondering if he was asking for too much. "Well... it's kind of, a lot. And it might be hard to get."

"Dude, most of us want something that costs at least a hundred dollars." Lucky pointed out, knowing that Oliver would never be greedy with his desires. "What you want can't be more expensive than that."

"It's not so much about how much it costs, Lucky." Oliver said, knowing this was something money couldn't by. "Actually, what I want is... to know about someone." The group noticed Oliver's mood shift as he struggled to speak up. This was very personal to him. When he looked at his friends, he saw that they were starting to get concerned for him. When he saw this, he decided to say it anyway. After all, everyone else had already gone. "What I want for Christmas is... to know who my parents are. My birth parents. And why they left me at that orphanage."

Tramp was shown talking to Pongo in the park as they discussed what their kids were want with Pongo explaining what Lucky would want. "Knowing Lucky, he'll most likely want something related to video games or music."

"And with those two hobbies, he could make his own video game soundtrack!" Tramp pointed out, enlightening Pongo in the discussion. Colonel, Tibbs, and Colonel were in the conversation as well with Lady chatting with the mothers.

Scamp and his friends were still talking as Oliver just revealed what he wanted. Angel spoke from her own personal place as she thought about how she was left at an orphanage too. As she did, she stopped hanging and sat up on the bar she was hanging on before. "You wanna know about the people who left you to someone else?"

"Well... yeah. I don't know anything about them. And I'd like to know who they were." Oliver answered, showing that this was something he thought of a lot as he spoke further. "Only problem is I don't have any leads. For some reason, my mom told the orphanage owner saying not to tell me anything about them. I don't even know if my dads were told anything when they adopted me."

Scamp, eager to help his best friend, smiled while placing a paw on his shoulder as he thought about how to help Oliver. "Why don't WE help you find out about your parents!?"

Oliver's eyes widened at that offer with Patch pointing out the improbability of that happening. "Not to be the pessimist, Scamp, but we won't have much luck finding someone we've never heard of before."

"I could handle the luck part." Lucky joked as he pointed to his back's horseshoe spots, showing that he was up for the search.

"Well, who's to say Colonel and Tibbs won't?" Scamp asked, bringing up something else he and the others could do for Oliver to help him out. "And the rest of us could find our own ways to try and find some information around town!"

The others started to think about it with Angel confirming that she would be on board. "I don't get it, but I'm in. Only because it'll make Oliver happy."

Oliver was incredibly grateful, but he didn't want to put too much pressure on his friends. "I appreciate it, guys. But this is gonna be a lot of work. I wouldn't wanna put that on you."

"Then it's a good thing I'm putting it on myself!" Scamp exclaimed, showing his desire to help his friends, no matter how hard the problem was.

Tod then chimed in with an idea on how they could lose a day, but have more time with a plan for the next. "Since we just started talking about it, let's execute the plan starting tomorrow so we can go in with an idea of what we want to do."

"Good idea, Tod. Either way, let's make this happen!" Scamp and his friends cheered with joy as Oliver showed gratitude towards their efforts. And with that, it was now the mission of Scamp and his friends to help Oliver learn about his birth parents.

The next day, Oliver was at home, looking at a text Scamp sent him of a photo for the orphanage he used to live at. It also showed him in the car with Tramp, who was driving him to the orphanage. Oliver smiled gratefully when he saw this, and that was when Colonel and Tibbs went into the room. They sat down with Oliver, who opened up about his feelings. "Dad? Dad?" Colonel and Tibbs looked at Oliver, who started to open up about his question. "Can I ask you something?"

"Of course, son!" Tibbs assured Oliver, showing that he was open to anything Oliver would ask them. "We're always here to help."

"Okay, good. That makes this easier." Oliver said, hoping his dads wouldn't get offended by this question. "And I'm just gonna say this now. I love you both, and I appreciate everything you've done for and given me. There's just... something I want to know." Colonel and Tibbs listened carefully as Oliver came out with it. "Did you guys... know anything about my birth parents?"

That question caught Colonel and Tibbs off guard. Their expressions said they knew something, but they weren't sure how to tell Oliver. Colonel attempted to speak up, trying to help Oliver feel better about this. "Well... um..." Oliver looked at him with a genuine desire to know about his birth parents. Colonel wanted to tell Oliver. But he also didn't want to disrespect his birth mother's wishes. The way they looked said it wasn't a pretty story either. "Wow. That was a question."

Tibbs checked on Oliver, who he could tell was in deep thought about this. "What brought this up now?"

"The themes of Christmas." Oliver answered, elaborating so they could understand better. "So many people in Walton View have families who love them. And I'm happy to be a part of a family like that myself." Oliver started to get sentimental as he thought about his birth parents. "That said, I'm one of the kids in town who doesn't know anything about his birth parents. I've always wondered who they are, and why they left me at the orphanage." Colonel and Tibbs looked at each other with guilt. They clearly didn't like hiding this from Oliver.

Meanwhile, Scamp was now at the orphanage Oliver used to live at, which was a town over, trying to get the information he needed. But the owner, who was a blue female cat, was failing to give it to him. "I'm sorry, kid. But the only one who can ask about detailed information regarding someone's birth parents are the ones who adopted them."

Scamp looked at Tramp, who whispered him an idea that he decided to execute. "Can you at least tell me Oliver's last name? The one he got before his dads took him in."

"That much, I can do." The owner confirmed, mainly due to admiring his commitment to his friend. "His former last name was... Lawrence."

Scamp was glad to have gotten something out of the visit, knowing this would satisfy Oliver. "That'll do. Thank you, ma'am."

"Of course. I hope you understand why I can't give you more." The owner said apologetically. "I know it might not make much sense, but she specified not wanting her son to know about her."

"You wanna keep your word. I get it." Scamp assured the owner, and then he explained why he was doing this for Oliver. "It's why I'm helping Oliver find her."

Scamp and Tramp took their leave after saying goodbye to the other. Tramp had his own thoughts on the investigation Scamp and his friends were doing for Oliver. "Ya know, Whirlwind, I could convince Colonel and Tibbs to give me any info they might have. I learned some persuasion tips when I was around your age."

"Thanks, dad. If all else fails, I'll remember that." Scamp replied, and then he and Tramp got into the car with Scamp feeling like he was forgetting something. "What was the last name of that woman again?"

"Lawrence."

"Thank you."

Tramp drove off with Scamp kicking his feet up and down as he rambled about how Oliver might be feeling. "I can't imagine what Oliver must be feeling right now. I don't even know how it feels to be adopted. And even if I did, I don't know if my birth parents would be a secret to me like Oliver's are to him. Why wouldn't they want him to know about them anyway? I think he should know who brought him into the world. They're the reason he's here after all. He wouldn't have this life now if they didn't bring him here."

Tramp couldn't help chuckling a bit at what Scamp was saying in response to Oliver's predicament. "It's a mystery, Scamp."

Lucky, Patch, and Copper were looking around town with Lucky pushing Patch around as they were posting fliers around town in case Oliver's parents came to Walton View. Lucky put up a flier, and it said 'Help us find this cat's parents!' while having a photo of Oliver on it. Copper started worrying about whether or not anyone in town would know who Oliver's parents were. "Are we sure anyone in town will know about Oliver's parents? No one in town knew him before he came to Walton View."

"We have to cover every ground we can, Copper. That includes the grounds that don't make much sense." Patch explained, speaking further about the scenario as he pointed out one possibility, even if it was a low one. "Just because no one in this town knew Oliver when he moved here, doesn't mean they couldn't have met one of his parents."

Copper looked at Lucky, who he knew would give him a much more straightforward answer on the matter. "Basically, someone might pick up on how Oliver resembles someone they might've met in the past, and that someone could be Oliver's mum or dad."

"Ohhhhh." Copper then started thinking about how complicated this was starting to get. As he did this, they ran into the Gabor family, also known as Duchess and her kittens.

Berlioz, who was shown walking without his crutches, noticed the three and greeted Lucky first. "Lucky, hey! Check it out." Berlioz pointed to his prosthetic leg, which he'd recently become fully adjusted to. "It fits perfectly now!"

Lucky was super happy for Berlioz, as were Patch and Copper, who allowed Lucky to converse with Berlioz. "Dude, that's awesome! It's like your part robot now!" Berlioz snorted before silently whispering 'Thoughtless speaker.' to himself due to finding Lucky's wording funny. Lucky then got an idea and showed Berlioz the photo of Oliver. "Oh, Berlioz! You and your family are cats too. Maybe Duchess met someone who looks like Oliver?"

Duchess and her family looked at the photo with Duchess sadly debunking this idea. "No, sorry, boys. Oliver's the first I've seen who looks just like him."

"Maybe your current husband might have an idea?" Patch suggested, knowing that Duchess was in her second marriage. "It might be a stretch, but he could've met a woman before you who resembles Oliver."

Duchess considered the possibility, knowing that she and Thomas haven't been together long enough to discuss EVERYTHING from their past. "Perhaps. I'll have to ask him first."

Toulouse showed that he idolized Thomas with what he said next. "He probably had to fight off a gang to save her if he did!"

"By himself, or with a group?" Copper asked, wanting to know how strong exactly Thomas was.

"With a group. I asked him, and he said he'd need help in a fight like that." Toulouse answered.

Marie took one of the flyers from the three as she addressed Copper. "If it's a favor to a friend of yours, Copper, then consider it done."

"Thanks, Marie!" Copper chimed in gratefully, seeing that Marie was glad to help out a friend.

Lucky, Patch, and Copper then headed off, bidding the family goodbye for now as Lucky spoke up again. "At least our numbers are subtracting and not dividing. That makes it much easier to keep track." Patch snickered a bit at Lucky's subtle jab at the fact that he hates math.

Tod and Vixey were covering for Angel, who was spray painting something on the side of a convenience store with no people around. Tod was getting a good look at the design of it, which was a spray paint of Oliver with the words 'Know This Orphan's Parents!?' beside it. Tod laughed a bit at the directness of it before asking Angel a question. "Would you consider working on stage production if they allowed spray paint?"

"It'd be better than dressing up as a Princess for one of those things." Angel chimed in, liking the idea of helping to design the backgrounds. "And don't worry. I wouldn't spray paint a big dick on the tower prop."

Vixey walked up to Tod and Angel as she asked Tod why he allowed Angel to do this. "Why are we letting Angel spray paint our mission all over town again?"

"To attract passerbys!" Tod explained, knowing that something like this was bound to get attention. "People will see this before the cops come around and start messing with us, and we can use that to convince people to start looking around. The more people who know about Oliver, the more people who'll help us find his parents."

Angel looked up at the spray painting as she thought about how her situation paralleled with Oliver's. She couldn't understand why he wanted to see his parents. In her mind, they basically dumped him at the orphanage without a trace. "What does he expect to get out of this?" Tod and Vixey looked at Angel, and Tod noticed quickly that she was speaking from the heart with this. "They just... abandoned him. And if I heard what he said right, they did it when he was too young to remember their faces."

Tod stepped over to Angel, and Vixey listened as Tod attempted to be a good friend to Angel. Albeit, not being the best at showing sympathy. "Maybe he's desperate for closure? I don't think everyone in his predicament is as... content, with not knowing who their parents were, as you are."

"I wouldn't call it being content." Angel said after flinching, opening up a bit about her own situation, but still being vague. It showed that while she did spill her guts to Scamp, she was still in the learning phase of opening up. "I know it's painful to know that people didn't want you. What I DON'T know is why someone would wanna talk to even think about those people."

Tod noticed Angel holding back her tears and took a step closer. He put a paw on her shoulder as he explained what he thought. "Oliver's a lot more... optimistic, than most are. Tod noticed that Vixey was still listening, trying to avoid talking about his and Angel's problems to where she would learn about them. He liked Vixey a lot, but not enough to open up for either of them. "Everyone approaches their issues differently. And for Oliver... that's with a ray of hope."

Angel laughed a bit, thinking about how Scamp looked in a similar way. "Explains how he and Scamp hit it off so fast."

Vixey took a moment to chime in after a few seconds, hoping she wasn't intruding. "I haven't talked to Scamp or Oliver yet." Tod and Angel looked at Vixey, who expressed an interest in meeting them officially. "Maybe I should take the time to do that."

Tod and Angel smiled to each other before the former showed support towards that idea. "You'd like them a lot, Vix. They're kind of like you in a way." Vixey smiled in response to that, hoping Tod meant what she thought he did. As for Angel, she still thought Oliver wanting to know his parents was dumb, but Tod helped her get closer to understanding why he did.

Back at Scamp's house, Scamp was researching the last name he got after dinner, eating his chocolate cake dessert while using his laptop. Someone knocked on his door after he looked up the name, hoping something would come up as he responded. "Come in!"

Lady answered the door, rubbing her belly as she walked over to Scamp while checking on him. "You still on the investigation, sweetie?"

"You bet I am! I've never been this focused in my life!" Scamp exclaimed, scrolling through the search options for 'Oliver Lawrence's Birth Parents' as he remembered another exception. "Except for video games of course, but I don't know if those count."

"They do." Lady assured Scamp, and she mentioned something else to Scamp before she left his room. "Your father and I wanted to let you know that we have a special surprise for you and your sisters on Christmas. And we don't mean your presents."

Scamp took a liking to that, responding as he then scrolled down to a female name with Oliver's last name that sounded right. "Yay for surprises!" When Scamp noticed the name, he saw that the picture next to it was a cat who looked a lot like Oliver. This enlightened him, and he got to clicking on the tab so he could learn more about her for Oliver. "This has to be her!"

Lady looked with Scamp, who scrolled down to the first paragraph talking about the cat. "Jenny Lawrence." The first sentence he read confused him a lot. "She has been arrested for drunk driving, and was later revealed to be selling drugs to get by." Scamp had no idea why it started there, but Lady quickly picked up on it. "Why the hell did they start with that!? I wanna know what to tell Oliver about his mother; not hear about what a reckless bitch she was!"

Lady looked further down in the paragraph, and it stated that Jenny was currently serving a thirteen year sentence. "Read the lower lines of the paragraph, Scamp. I think this is a police report."

"What!?" Scamp read what Lady found, and he became as shocked as Lady. Scamp read further and found out that Jenny ended up giving birth to a baby boy during her prison sentence. Lady almost regurgitated when she thought about what that meant, but was able to swallow as Scamp contemplated what to do. "What do I do? I wanna tell Oliver, but if I do..."

Lady put a paw on Scamp's shoulder, giving him the best advice she could for this. "I don't know what to do either, Scamp. Let's get some rest, and maybe tomorrow, we'll figure out how we want to approach this."

"Yeah. Sleep. That sounds good." Scamp hugged his mother goodnight before they pulled away, allowing Scamp to bring up something else. "If it ends up crushing him, then let's hope that surprise you have planned brings his spirits back up." Lady hoped that would work if it had to come to it. She couldn't imagine how this would feel to Oliver.

Scamp was walking over to Oliver's house the next day, stressing heavily about whether or not to tell him the truth. "If I tell him the truth, he'll be super upset, because he'll know his mom got into serious trouble. And if I DON'T tell him the truth, he'll be super sad, because he won't know who his mother is, and in turn, never know who his father is. And Oliver doesn't deserve to be lied to! I don't want to lie to him!" Scamp arrived at Oliver's house, unsure of what he would do once he got up there. "And now here I am at his door, stressing my ass off."

Scamp walked up to the door and knocked on it. As usual, Oliver was in the living room writing in his notebook, and he went over to the door to answer it. He was excited to see Scamp, as always, and eager to see what he had planned for today. "Hi Scamp! Ready for another fun day in the snow?"

"Always!" Scamp exclaimed, but then his face dropped as he spoke again. "But, um... I should, tell you something first."

"What is it?" Oliver asked, and Scamp's concern spoke to him in volumes. He quickly realized what was going on and got concerned as well. "Is this about the investigation?"

"Well... um..." Scamp struggled to find the right thing to say. He couldn't stop thinking about how much the news, or lying, would crush Oliver. He didn't want to hurt his best friend.

To be continued.
