Sherlock Holmes acquires Eileen Lancaster as a client, who is deeply concerned about her uncle. He appears to have undergone profound changes in his character. Are the reasons for this the strange occurrences at his estate and a raven that supposedly visits him at night?

It never bodes well when an enemy knows more about your past than you care to remember. A crossover retelling of The Final Problem. PSA to all readers: In the interests of diplomacy, the word 'redskin' has been changed to 'Indian'. Still the wrong term, but at least it's not so blatantly racist, and still demonstrates Doyle's and Barrie's unthinking imperialism and ignorance.

As Holmes and Watson race to save the life of an innocent woman who has been sentenced to hang for the murder of her husband, they begin to realise that they might have assistance from a source other than natural, and are forced, over the course of the case, to reconsider long-held beliefs.
