Emerging from the racetrack bashed and bruised, The morale the two shared between them was low. Although having technically been a mission success, the awkward silence between them would suggest otherwise. If victory had truly been achieved, Cooper's shoulder would not be in as much pain as it was, and Gregory wouldn't be shaking as much as he was. He had seen worse, true, but still almost being killed by an animatronic for like, the third time certainly takes a toll.

As far as blame went, most could probably be pinned on Cooper, kind of a dumb move to launch yourself in the trajectory of a heavy and fast moving go kart. If Gregory could have know Cooper was thinking he was a liability earlier, he would have laughed in his face. However Gregory could have been slightly at fault too. Running over Roxy certainly would've gotten Cooper into trouble, as well as pissed him off. Certainly not the best way to handle things.

Freddy's original plan was to buy Cooper some time to go help Gregory, then regroup with them at the raceway. Chica had other plans however. Freddy greatly underestimated the chicken's persistence. Whilst not the best fighter, she certainly had the endurance and stamina to make up for it. Whether that was through her glitch or regular personality was up for debate.

Having ducked, dodged and weaved her attacks seemingly a thousand times, Freddy began to pick up a pattern. She would always go for two quick punches, then lunge, and repeat. Not very graceful, lots to be desired of her technique. Freddy still didn't want to hurt Chica, she was still his friend. His mind wandered about what to do for the longest time.

He thought he could make a dash for the racetrack, but Chica would follow him and put all three of them in unnecessary danger. He could fight the bird, and then feel guilty about it later, he could go back to his room of relative safety, but Monty was there, and he would be abandoning Cooper and Gregory. There was no winning.

Avoiding the glamrock's attacks was becoming second nature to him. His mind was free to wander as his body worked on its own. Every now and then Freddy would throw a few punches in, just to get Chica to back off a bit. It never worked, and just made her more mad. He contemplated what to do for the longest time, until he heard a familiar voice.

"Freddy!" It was Gregory.

As if awakening from a fever dream, Freddy looked up to the balcony to see his unofficially adopted son. And immediately was punished by Chica who swiftly delivered a harsh blow to his cheek. He had had enough, and replied to the bomb with a nuke, delivering a lethal blow to Chica, which knocked her over. Fate had other plans though. When Gregory, Freddy and Cooper reunited, the Chicken was back in action, to their dismay.

Despite Gregory being present, and easy enough pray for Chica, her attention was still focused on Freddy. Freddy backed up quickly upon realising he was still number one on her hit-list, and began to run a lap of the dining and party tables in the center of the atrium. He ran fast, with Chica just tailing him, like a moon to a planet. Cooper and Gregory made their way to the second level, to steer clear of the 20 tonne death machines that were racing beneath them.

When Freddy finished his lap and lay face to face with the escalator, Cooper delivered a care package in the form of a taser to the bear, for some defense. Freddy turned around, ready to correct the hostility of his friend. Alas, of course Monty was the thorn to the rose. Seemingly coming from air as thin as paper, he shoulder charged the glamrock bear with all his force whilst he was not aware making him fall to the ground, and with him the taser.

Chica slowed her approach just enough at the realisation her ally had knocked over her enemy, and that her chicken feet lay barely centimeters away from the robot bear's toppled body. Monty jumped over the body, landing on the other side of Freddy to destroy his weapon with his foot. The taser broke with a satisfying electric hiss to Monty and Chica. The taser broke with an awful buzz and high pitched ringing to Gregory and Cooper, and it wasn't because they were humans.

Freddy emerged from his brief, not consented slumber, and knocked the alligator away from him as he rose. He quickly dashed back to Cooper and Gregory who by this point had backed up in hopes of disengaging the chaotic fray, to no avail.

They were not outnumbered, but their collective strength was. 2 durable robots versus 1 durable robot and 2 weak and feeble humans was not a match that favoured their odds. Cooper and Gregory backed up, with Freddy following slowly whilst still keeping an eye on their attackers.

The trio had no idea where they were going, but it had to be away from where they were now, or they'd never see the light of day again. Too many close calls, too many times they had relied on sheer luck. Deep down they knew it was running out. They steered themselves towards fazerblast, with their collective minds thinking alike, they could isolate and cut themselves off from the baddies with the elevator. Buy themselves at least some time.

They were roughly 70 meters from fazerblast, they picked up the pace, with Monty and Chica following. It was only when the footsteps got a little too loud when Gregory realised they were gaining, and eventually going to catch then in the not so distant future. Gregory ran like mad, with Cooper and Freddy following closely. Freddy was further away from the two humans though.

Gregory reach the fazerblast elevator and frantically started mashing buttons half hoping his friends would make it in, half thinking of his strict survival. The doors began to close slowly, and Cooper barely by the tip of his tongue made it in, as cliché as it sounds. The elevator began to slowly humm, with the two lone survivors inside.

Freddy on the other hand was not so lucky. The elevator doors had closed, and his one lifeline had faded. He was left for dead. He looked back at his foes and realised that together, he would be overpowered. But...

He began running head on, head strong. Nothing was going to stop him, that was the purpose of this running after all. He acted as a human, or robot battering ram. He charged through the oncoming traffic like a strong gust of wind blowing over an empty plastic cup. Yes there was resistance, but it was mostly futile. Monty knew better than to get in his way, he would end up being more damaged than Cooper after being hit by the go kart. Chica however, lacked the common sense necessary to make the right decision in that situation.

The impact wasn't too bad for Chica, luckily or unluckily depending on who you asked. She was knocked to the ground but quickly got up again, classic evil animatronic style. Freddy was sick of the two, despite them being his friends. He still didn't want to hurt them but was much more willing to make exceptions this time. His power to put up with them was draining. Literally.

Freddy ran as fast as he could, which wasn't all that fast, Gregory could actually run faster. Monty though, was not Gregory thankfully for Freddy. Monty as previously mentioned, had began to chase Freddy, leaving the two to showdown with each other. It was as if Monty was getting a second chance to fulfill his twisted wishes, whether he was in control of himself or not.

Chica had stayed at the elevator and awaited it to return to her after mashing the same button for about the 30th time in the same minute. Impatient was an understatement.

Freddy had ended up outside of Monty golf, when suddenly he had an idea. Around the same time, Cooper and Gregory had a similar one.

Sorry for the wait, to say my weeks have been busy is an understatement. Free time is hard to come by, and most of my time writing is just when I'm about to fall asleep. Not to mention I just recently got the game, and any free time I did have was spent on it. So fun, yeah it's buggy but I still recommend it. Sorry the chapter was a bit shorter than usual. No excuse, it just kind of was. have a good day/night.
