Summary: To say Luz was surprised, was an understatement. When she finally beat Belos and returned home, she didn't expect her mom to not realize she was gone... she really didn't expect to find out she has a twin!

Luz sat on the couch, trying to process all this. She played this moment in her head nearly a hundred times since July, when she destroyed the portal. Not one of those thoughts had her be the one trying to process everything!

"Mija, are you okay? I know this is a lot to take in." Camila said.

"You think? How am I supposed to react? I have a twin, who is apparently a clone of me that was created when I went through the portal!" Luz said, "You were supposed to be the one trying to wrap your head around this."

"Well, I am still trying to wrap my head around this. You were in a realm of magic, fought against a dictator, have a staff, and have gloves that allow you to perform magic. Up until last week, I though Catalina was you."

Luz hugged her legs and put her head between her knees.

"This is crazy."

Camila sat next to Luz and pulled her into a hug.

"I know this is all happening so fast, but think about it like this, you always wanted a sibling." Camila said, "Why don't you go talk to her?"

Luz made a small noise that sounded like discomfort. Camila knew that would happen; how do you ask your daughter to go talk to her clone turned twin sister?

"If you don't, I'll take your gloves and staff away."

Luz touched her staff and it disappeared. She got up and walked upstairs. She reached her bedroom door and was about to grab the doorknob but stopped for a minute.

"Just don't make a spell circle the second you see her... again. Think of it as... looking at a mirror."

Luz turned the knob and opened the door. On her bed, was the clone, her... younger (?) twin.

"So, you're Catalina." Luz said.

"Yeah, and you're, Luz."

An awkward silence was present.

"So... this is awkward." Catalina said.

"Yeah, I don't really know what to say. You're my twin, that I didn't have until last week." Luz said, "Why don't... you tell me about yourself."

"Well, I was at Reality Camp during the summer, I like doing crosswords, I like-"

"Wow, that is the complete opposite of me." Luz said, "Anything else."

"I... I'm a little dyslexic." Catalina said, "I mess up words that have S and Z in them, but I'm good with every other letter."

Luz chuckled.

"Well, I guess we have some stuff in common then. I also have problems. I'm neurodivergent."

"I guess we're both a little 'Broken" by community standards."

"Well, I guess we can start from there." Luz said, "Do you... like fantasy?"

"Do you ship Azura and Hecate?"

"Yeah."

"Then I guess we have something else in common."
