Summary: I don't know yet.

Luz walked to her locker on the first day of school. After the adventures she had over the summer in the Isles, the friends she made, the dangers she encountered... Belos... The Collector... her friends stuck in this realm... her found family stuck in the Demon Realm.

'I helped him, I helped Belos, I caused all this pain.' Luz thought, 'I thought I was strong, I thought I could handle this... what a damn fool I was.'

Luz put her books in her locker and looked at her first assignment, an essay of what she did over the summer.

"Yeah, because I can totally write about something I did over the summer." Luz mumbled.

"Well, look who it is."

Luz let out an annoyed growl.

"What do you want, Tracey?" Luz asked.

Behind Luz, a girl with blonde hair with a pink streak in the middle, light blue eyes, and a slight tan to her skin, which Luz is sure is fake.

"Oh, just wanted to see if it was true that your mom sent you away because she didn't want you." Tracey said as her goons laughed, "Shame you came crawling back, it was actually nice in town without you."

"Tracey, I am not in the mood for this." Luz said.

"I don't really care." Tracey said, ripping Luz's beanie off, "Look at this ridiculous thing, it's so lame!"

Tracey and her goons laughed.

"Give me my beanie back." Luz said.

"No, I think I'll keep it, make a nice trophy." Tracey said.

"Tracey, I am going to give you five seconds to give me back my beanie, before I actually fuck you up." Luz said, continuing to look at her locker so they don't see her eyes change color.

"Oh, someone's feeling fearless." Tracey taunted, "Girls, we should remind the Luz-er who we are."

Luz closed her locker, doing her best to stay calm, but they were just picking away at her nerves. Luz turned around, glaring at them with her red and orange eyes.

"Give me. My fucking. Beanie."

The way her eyes changed color and her voice became different, made the cheerleaders back up. Luz reached out and grabbed her beanie, before she returned to normal.

"Go ahead, tell people, not a damn person would believe you." Luz said, putting her hat on and walking away.

As she was walking away she felt her stomach churn, the beast wanted to come out, but she couldn't. Not in the Human realm, and definitely not in school.

"No... Not... now!" Luz said, quickly rushing out of the school and into the nearby woods.

She fell to her knees and pulled her beanie off just before her hair caught fire. She put her hands on the ground and started to breath heavily as red began to crawl up her arms. She closed her eyes and opened them back up, revealing orange sclera and red iris'. She held her arms near her chest.

"No... no!"

Luz was unable to keep it in as a powerful blast was released and the sound of a bird rang through the town. Luz stood up and looked around... the Human Realm wasn't ready for the world that it was about to learn about... and they definitely weren't ready for the Phoenix.

Something I've wanted to try after seeing Thanks to Them back in October. The idea of the Unkillable Fire God being stuck in the Human Realm in a more Canon style of the Phoenix is very appealing to me and I have a lot of ideas for this. By the way... none of Luz's friends know about her powers. Follow, Favorite, and Review for more.
