Summary: Don't know Yet
Luz, now 17 on the verge of 18, opened her locker and pulled her book out. She wore a purple shirt, a dark green hooded jacket with a bisexual flag patch on one of the sleeves the sleeve and the Dominican Republic flag on the other, a pair of jeans, and her now signature beanie.
'One chapter of my life is over and a new one begins. That's what I told myself after beating Belos. And yet, I feel like I'm back where I started. Back in the place where everyone hates me. Where I'm just the screw up that gets sent to the principals office on a daily basis.' Luz thought, as she look in her locker, 'No Titan, no magic. Even with Stringbean, I feel like I can't call myself a witch. I can't even go back to Hexside Mom said I need to acquire some Real World Skills.'
In Luz's lockers were several picture, mostly of Amity, and a paper mâché of King's skull on a pedestal. Luz looked at it and slowly blinked.
'I know what she meant but the way she phrased it implies that the demon realm isn't real.' Luz thought, 'But it is real. It's more real to me than this place ever was. If it weren't for mom and Vee, I'd leave the Human Realm behind me in a heart beat'
Luz closed her locker and stood there for a second.
'It's funny. Vee isn't even from the human realm and she fits in here better than I ever could. Of course, I do better at Hexside, so we're kind of like sisters in that way.' Luz thought, 'Being here has become so depressing, I've sincerely become nostalgic for the days I was worried my locker would eat me.'
"Hell, I miss everything about Hexside. The screaming bell, the weird food, the occasional pixie infestation... but mostly... I miss my friends. Willow, Gus, Viney, Emira, Edric, Jerbo, Barcus, Hunter, Skara... I'll even take Boscha over any human here. But most of all, I miss Am-"
Luz was pushed into the lockers with a loud slam.
"Move it or lose it, Scarface!"
Behind Luz was a group of four girls. One had red hair that was mostly covered by a green hat with two pig tails coming out of the back of the hat, a few freckles, green eyes, wearing a green shirt, blue hoodie, black pants, her name was Maggie. Another one was a tall girl with tan skin and has long brown hair with a loose ponytail in the back and a small front braid, with a purple headband with shurikens on it. She wore a blue and purple shirt and dark jeans, her name was Skye. The third girl had short black hair with a white streak that made her look like a skunk, which Luz would often mentally call her, her name was Ji-Young. She had white skin and wore a white sleeveless hoodie and pants. Then there was the leader... Tracey Miller, head cheerleader. She wore her typical cheerleader uniform, with a blue hoodie over it. Her hair was no longer short, it was now a high ponytail with pink strands on the sides.
"These halls are for walking, not moping, so take your emo shit somewhere else." Tracey said, "Seriously, I thought that special camp was supposed to FIX headcases like you, but somehow, you came back even more unbearable."
"Tch, I suppose you would be the authority on all things unbearable." Luz said, glaring back at Tracey.
Tracey put her hands on her hips and lowered herself down to look at Luz in the eyes.
"When are you going to get it through that damn beanie of yours that nobody here wants you here, Luzer? We were all better off not putting up with your weirdness." Tracey said, "Maybe the next time they ship you off to crazy camp, you have a good sense to stay there."
Luz looked like she couldn't give to shits about Tracey and her little posse.
"What, and give all this up?" Luz asked.
The four girls got closer, to the point Luz was cornered.
"You really want to get smart with me, No-brain-a?" Tracey asked, "One way or another, we're going to make you learn your place!"
They were about to start beating Luz, when a hand slammed against the locker next to them.
"HEY!" The new person said.
They looked and saw a girl with pale skin, long, fluffy, purple hair with brown roots showing, golden eyes, fangs, wearing a pink dress, black leggings, and a black leather jacket with the letters BGDW going down the sleeve.
"I just met you four so you are entitled to one warning... Stay away from MY Luz!"
Maggie and Skye looking confused, Tracey looked annoyed, and Ji-Young looked... intrigued by this purple haired girl. Before anyone could say something, Luz put a hand on the Maggie's head and pushed her out of the way.
"Sweet Potato!" Luz said, jumping and wrapping Amity into a hug, "Holy Titan, I can't believe you're here! But whatever, I'm just so happy to see you!"
"Me too!" Amity said, "I actually have something I wanted to tell you about, but then I saw you in trouble and-"
"Excuse me, but who invited you to this discussion!?" Tracey asked, "And you realize that's Luz Noceda you're hugging, right? I hope you had your crazy shots!"
Amity glared at her.
"What a peculiar choice of last words."
Tracey's face dropped a bit as the, fake, tan seemed to go away and she went pale.
"Uh... you going to let her talk to you like that, Skye?" Tracey said.
"Hmm." Skye said, giving Tracey a glare.
"And for your woefully limited information, I'm perfectly aware of who I'm hugging." Amity said, smiling like she just told off her mother for the first time, "I wouldn't be such an awesome girlfriend if I wasn't."
"Girlfriend!?" Tracey said, "You actually want to date this screwLuz? Not the best way to make a first impression around here."
"I don't remember asking for your opinion! And if you insult Luz one more time, my 'First Impression' is gonna to be my boot print on your ass!" Amity said, raising and clenching her fist, "And make sure to let everyone here know that Luz Noceda is off limits! Try anything with her and you'll be answering to me!"
Maggie cracked her knuckles, the Ji-Young raised an eyebrow at Amity, Skye just yawned.
"Wow, okay, you two must've met at the same dunce camp, cause I don't think you realize what you're getting into, here." Tracey said.
"Are you kidding me, Huma- I mean, Luz? These dregs are giving you such a hard time?" A new person asked, "Seriously, you wouldn't let me get away with anything like that at Hexside."
Tracey and her gang turned around and saw several new faces. The first was the girl that spoke up. She wore a white and red jersey that said Bonesborough 01, with purple pants (#411230 for those that are curious) and headbands that varied between blues, blacks, and whites. Her pink hair was freely flowing down to her shoulders, and her skin looked almost normal, but had an unusual shade of pink to it. The guy behind her wore a dark mustard yellow colored tank top with muted orange pants, and a tannish colored hat with bat ears and wings with those paws that go all the way down to the hands. He wore glass and had a mole under his eye. He had pale skin and dark green hair. The girl next to him had wild brown hair with some kind of orange headband, green eyes, white skin, and was wearing a white panda shirt and brown overalls with only one strap connecting and small bracelets on her wrists. Leaning against the girl, was a taller girl with green hair that was split into two pigtails going passed her shoulders and chest. It was obvious to anyone that she was the twin to the green haired boy. She wore a basic cyan tank top that stopped at her belly button, blue jeans and a studded belt around her waist. Next to her was another girl, pretty short for being 18. She wore blue jeans, a red shirt with a music note on it, and... pink unicorn headphones, didn't really go along with her outfit, but whatever, she rocks it. She had dark sking and her hair was black on the sides, but became silver near the top of her ponytail. Next to her, was a guy around 16, leaning against the lockers with a blade of grass sticking out of his mouth. He wore a black leather jacket, a white shirt, baggy black pants, a yellow earmuffs.
"Hey, Cutie." Emira said, smiling.
"What's up, Luz?" Viney said, "Amity left us in the dust before we could get ready. If these guys are bothering you, we can give you a hand."
"Ooh, let's challenge'em to a grudgby match!" Skara said.
The bully gang went stiff, realizing they were out numbered.
"Yeah, well... we were on our way to class anyway." Tracey said as her and her group walked away quickly.
"You guys, it's so awesome you're here, but why?" Luz asked.
"You didn't hear, Luz?" Edric asked.
"Yeah, we all go to this school now." Viney said with a wink.
"Say whaaa-?!" Luz said, in surprise.
"Yep." Boscha said, "We're learning human stuff. You can thank your mom for that."
"It was her idea, and the P.C.A approved!" Skara said.
"Amity, is this for real?" Luz asked, tears of joy beginning to fill her eyes.
"It sure is, and your principal assigned YOU to be our chaperone." Amity said, smug as any awesome girlfriend can be, "... Y'know, once Camila told him to."
Amity put her hands on her hips and stood in front of the group.
"You're looking at the members of the all-new Hexside Exchange Program!" Amity said.
