(Gumball was still on the bus as 3 days passed. Luckily, when he stopped by a gas station, he used this advantage as a pit stop. It was fortunate that he had his own wallet as well. This also helped him prepare for his new life. He found 3 bags of chips, 2 frozen drinks, 2 water bottles, a sharpie, a white medium size t shirt and a hat that said, "I'm not the guy you're looking for." Once he grabbed what he needed, he headed to the register to pay for the items.)

Gas Station Clerk: Hey, kid. Have I seen you before?

Gumball: Wha- what, really?

Gas Station Clerk: Ya, you're from Elmore high school.

(Gumball's eyes widened. The clerk was the same convict from the same prison where his class went to for a field trip.)

Gumball: Oh yeah, your name is Linkin!

Linkin: Yeah. I guess you would never see me out of jail.

Gumball: How did you get out?

Linkin: Parole. Shows good behavior leads to good results. By the way, what are you doing here all alone?

Gumball: Well, if you have to know, I ended up leaving Elmore.

Linkin: How come?

Gumball: I was accused of destroying Elmore Junior High.

Linkin: And the cops are looking for you now?

Gumball: Yeah. And I guess you can't keep that a secret.

Linkin: Sorry, I can't. It doesn't help that there were many interviews made from the citizens of Elmore. There was Principal Brown, some of the teachers, and a girl named Penny Fitzgerald.

Gumball: Oh. (sadly) That hurt. Can't believe this. Wait. How do you know all about it?

Linkin: I saw it on Elmore News in TV.

Gumball: That explains it.

Linkin: Here's your items.

(Gumball grabbed them and put them on a bag.)

Gumball: Thanks. Listen, I know that you can't keep secrets, but can you tell me your full name? I always wanted to have an ex con as a friend.

Linkin: You consider me a friend. I give you credit, kid. It takes guts for people to say that to an ex con.

Gumball: I am known to say stupid and crazy things. The name is Gumball Christopher Watterson.

Linkin: Linkin Parker Andres

Gumball: I hope to see you again.

Linkin: Same. Better get on your bus before it leaves.

Gumball: Right.

(Linkin laughs as Gumball leaves.)

Linkin: He is an idiot, but a good kind.

(Gumball successfully got back to the bus. He opened the bag that Linkin gave him. There came a note.)

Gumball: Wonder what he has to say. (reading the note quietly to himself) "Don't Worry, kid. I'll tell them you went somewhere else, just don't go die now. From Linkin. P.S. you are heading to a place called D-V Town. When you arrive, there is a house at 1400 W DeeStreet Ave. Once you reach your destination, mention my name and you got a place to sleep for about 4 days tops. After that expires, you're on your own."

(Gumball smiles after reading that note. He only knew the guy for a few minutes and he's helping him out. Gumball made a friend that day. Now he thought to himself about his old friends including Penny, Banana Joe, Darwin, Anais, Clayton, Tobias, and the rest. He also recalled the many crazy adventures he had on Elmore. As much as he hated to do it, it was time to move on from them. The bus began riding off to D-V Town where Gumball plans to start a new life whether it was good or bad. He was saying goodbye to Gumball Christopher Watterson and welcoming a new person in him. He put on the hat, took off his famous sweater, and put on his white t shirt, but not before adding some letters on it. On the back of the shirt, he wrote "4EVR" in big letters, and on the front, he wrote "Gone". The blue cat boy grabbed his bag full of food and used his sweater as a pillow and fell asleep knowing the next time he woke up he's home.)

Gumball: My new life will start soon.

(Later, back at Elmore Junior High School, some workers came to repair it. They cleaned some of the graffiti and mess. There were also planning to add new doors and lockers to replace the broken ones. All the students were in school. Penny was chatting with her friends Molly, Teri, Masami, Carmen, and Carrie. Tobias was busy telling jokes with Banana Joe and Clayton. Tina Rex was speaking with Hector regarding the incident. Darwin and Anais were still sulking from last night.)

Molly: Wow, I guess Gumball did do it.

Masami: I know, right. If he was innocent, he wouldn't have run away.

Carrie: I guess he didn't want to face the consequences of his actions.

(Penny just remains silent through the conversation.)

Tobias: Seriously, I just can't believe Gumball would do something stupid like this. I mean, it was foolish enough the time I fought him just to be with Penny that one time. But this takes it to a whole other level.

Banana Joe: You know him. He's Gumball Watterson after all. Don't you remember the time Elmore was angry at his family for almost destroying Elmore which made us want to kill them, but we are cool now?

Ocho: Yeah. He's lucky I forgave him for what he said about my mom. But I ain't forgiving him for what he did to the school.

(Hector is heard sneezing.)

Tobias: Bless you, Hector.

(Darwin and Anais go in the school.)

Darwin: Tell me why we are being in here again.

Anais: We have to prove Gumball's innocence. Whoever that figure was, there should be some clues to find it. Let's look in Principal Brown's office.

(The two knocked on Principal Brown's office. The hairy slug opened the door.)

Principal Brown: Oh. Darwin and Anais. What are you doing here?

Darwin: Do you know that video Bobert shown us about the destruction of the school? We were wondering if we can have a look closer in it.

Anais: There could be some more evidence.

Principal Brown: Sure. (He adjusts his PC, setting it to the video Bobert sent him.)

Darwin: Alright. So, we know that the figure was wearing a black sweater and a black hoodie.

Anais: That's our first two clues. Anything else we can find?

Darwin: Hmm. (looks closely at the figure) I notice something.

Principal Brown: What?

Darwin: Look at that guy's hand. It doesn't look anything like a paw. It doesn't even look blue like Gumball's.

Anais: (gasps) You're right! This can be proven to show that Gumball didn't destroy the school!

Darwin: Principal Brown, have you seen Bobert? We need to let him know about this!

Principal Brown: Last time I saw him, he was at the cafeteria. I'll arrange an assembly later today. You go on talk to him.

(The two nodded before they walked out of the office to go find their robotic friend.)

Darwin: We knew it! Gumball is innocent!

Anais: Keep it down! Save it till we get to Bobert.

Darwin: Right.

(They arrive just in time to see Bobert talking to Rocky and Sarah. The two had to wait for a while so they can get their chance to talk to Bobert.)

Anais: Hey, Bobert.

Darwin: We got some important stuff to share you with.

Bobert: It's about that video of Gumball, isn't it?

Darwin: How did you know?

Bobert: I looked through that last night. Apparently, I used some of Gumball's DNA to see if it matches the DNA of the hand, and it was guaranteed to be not a match.

Anais: Yes! He's innocent all along.

Darwin: Listen, Principal Brown is going to make an assembly later. Can you show up as the spokesperson to show the truth?

Bobert: You can count on it. I knew Gumball was a good guy. He still had the heart to forgive me when I pretended to be him to steal his life. And the time I became his personal assistant when I lost the bet.

Anais: We need to catch up with you later. We got to get to our home to spread the word.

Bobert: Affirmative. Take care of yourselves.

(Later, Darwin arrived at the Watterson home. He was already upset enough at Nicole. Speaking of, she recovered a bit, but was still depressed.)

Nicole: Darwin? Where's your sister?

Darwin: Mr. Dad drove by, so Anais had to assist him to look for Gumball.

Nicole: Oh. That makes sense.

Darwin: Why aren't you helping him look for Gumball?

Nicole: I still can't believe Gumball destroyed that school.

Darwin: You really thought he would do something like this?

Nicole: Yeah…

Darwin: Honestly, you are pathetic. Mr. Dad has the guts to go out there to look for our son. You are just sitting there, eating out your depression. Even Mr. Dad has more dignity than you.

Nicole: What?

Darwin: You should have known Gumball was here in the house with me. While talking to me, he was looking for his sweater. (pulls it out) And it was right here all along. (throws it to her face) You, coming from the same woman who loves her family, are a strange one. Like that time with that fridge chart and paintball war we had. Disgusting.

(Darwin walked upstairs in disgust while Nicole curled up in a ball of disappointment. Later, Anais and Richard were looking for Gumball while driving in Elmore. They did not have the best of luck since it was going to be dark, so they had to head back home. They arrived back. Anais ran upstairs as Nicole stood up. She saw Richard coming on, but he slammed the door so hard, the window broke.)

Nicole: Richard? Are you oka-

(She was suddenly met with a slap on the face by Richard. Nicole covered her cheek that was in pain.)

Nicole: Ow! Richard!

Richard: How could you?!

Nicole: What?

Richard: You know damn well what I'm talking about! You didn't believe our own son!

Nicole: Richard, what was I supposed to do? There is evidence that Gumball did it and you know how he lies about every bad thing he has done in the past.

Richard: I know that, but even I know he's a horrible liar. I just can't believe you would shut him down instantly like that! That's even worse than the time my own mother threw me out of the house!

Nicole: He vandalized Elmore Junior High School.

Richard: And for that reason, you decide to declare him out of the family?! That's just stupid! He did way more stupid things than that, and you didn't even mind about it. You were even with him with our crazy adventures. Ok, maybe you do mind about it, but that's not the point. Just because of one big mishap does not mean that his life is over. Do you remember that time that my real dad Frankie came to set things right? Despite him trying to steal the house, I forgave him, and the others did as well?

Nicole: Yeah…

Richard: And how you had that run-in with your parents back in that supermarket? It took some time, but you and your parents forgave each other for screwing over the other's lives?

Nicole: Yeah…

Richard: The Watterson have been through thick and thin. Another example to prove that would be the time Louie started dating my mother. It took some time for me to adjust my anger with him, but I forgave him and accepted him as part of the family.

(Nicole was unmoved.)

Richard: What I'm saying is that you should have at least given Gumball the chance to prove himself innocent. Pushing him away is not going to help in both your cases. You're sleeping on the couch tonight. I can't just bear to sleep with a neglectful parent of this family.

(Richard went upstairs with a huff. Nicole laid down on the couch. If she was depressed earlier, this was ten times the amount now.)

Nicole: Gumball, I'm sorry…

(Later, near D.V Town, Gumball was about to arrive to his destination. He realized that according to Linkin's note, he had to come up with a name to hide his identity. He looked out the window for some hints. He saw a Maximus horse race sign, along with another sign that had the word "and" in big bold letters. This gave Gumball an idea. He wrote on his hand the fake name he will use. He had written "Max Anderson".)

Gumball: Right. This is for the best to start my new life.

(The bus that he was in passed by a sign. It said, "Welcome to D.V Town".)
