Summary: People could go through periods of pain, people endured times of suffering, but after all of that came the healing. Uzumaki Naruto has suffered though pain his entire 17 years of life. Now three beauties will do their best to heal his soul, mind, and heart.

Chapter 2: Suffering pt 1
Location: Konoha Hospital
Place: Lobby
Time: 1300
Dr. Tokiyoka head of the civilian department of the Hospital sat in reception smiling and flirting with the nurses. A lot of them who recuperated and even suggested that they sneak off to an unused room for a quickie. Sure he was well into his 40's, was starting to have a gut, and if he cut his salt and pepper hair it'd show his bald spot, but he was still handsome. Many people would find what he did disgusting since he had a wife and kid, both of whom served in the Shinobi Corps, but if his daughter was anything like her mother she'd probably be out for weeks at a time. Hell, maybe she'd be seducing and sleeping around with guys or girls on the Hokage and council's orders. Not that it was any of his business since that would be the pot calling the kettle black. Besides his wife was well aware of his extramarital affairs. She was fine with it so long as he didn't knock any of the nurses up or brought them to their home. Otherwise, he could have all the fun he wanted. She was hooking up with a shinobi on her team. She was probably doing one or two of them right now on her mouth-long border patrol.
The nurse in front of him was giggling at a stupid joke that he just made when the doors to the front burst open.
"Dr. Tokiyoka!" yelled a voice that he had come to know in the last two years.
"Haruno-chan, what the mat-," started Tokiyoka before he saw who she was carrying. Tokiyoka wasn't Tsunade, but he knew injuries. "Nurse Yugami get examination room two ready once that's done, I want two Chunin guards here ASAP tell them Dr Tokiyoka requested Security Level 3. Nurse Genki gathered any medical supplies that we will need and summoned two Medical Chunin. Nature of their chakra needs to be fire, get a move on!"
the two nurses knowing that their boss was in work mode did as told and took off to fulfill their assigned task. He may have had his favorites when it came to sex, but during any medical procedure, they knew he had no favorites. He had no biases. He was a consumerist professional. It was one of the reasons that he had been one of Sarutobi Hiruzen's most trusted people when it came to Naruto. And why the Council entrusted Uchiha Sasuke's Medical records with him.
He quickly rushed off to the medical examination room to evaluate Sasuke. The evaluation was quick with Sasuke requiring some minor surgery. He went to the ER to get ready for said surgery, when the doors to the main area burst open again. Looking at the people who came it. It was the Kazehage Sabuku Gaia using her unique and powerful sand Release to create a platform of sand, he saw that it was the Chief of the Medical Ninja Corps Koto Shizune she was using the mystic palm to stabilize the boy with her. Special Jonin Mitirashi Anko was holding the hand of said man. However, it was said man who peaked the man's interest. Uzumaki Naruto. He was in very bad shape. If Sasuke was at the very bottom step of death's door, Naruto was beating on it with a freaking hammer.
"Koto-san!" said Dr. Tokiyoka
Shizune didn't stop what she was doing, sweat was pouring down her face. " Dr if you can get an emergency room room ready, I need any medical ninja we have on standby to come here now!" said Shizune.
"I can't Koto-san. I've already started to allocate resources to Uchiha-san. I'm even on my way to his operation room now," said Tokiyoka.
"You'd help Orochimaru's fuck toy before a loyal Shinobi of Konoha!?" hissed Anko anger as her eyes turned yellow for a second ``.
To his credit Dr Tokiyoka managed not to flinch away from ANko "You misunderstand me Mitirashi-san. Uchiha-san was rushed in here with several broken bones, and damage to several major organs. I had already started his prep work and run a full diagnostic. It would take time for me to do the same for Uzumaki-san and I have to get to work on Uchiha-san. Forgive me.
"Than get me a room prepared to start on what I need to for a full examination of Uzumaki Naruto," said Shizune.
Dr Tokiyoka did as asked of him., but before he ran to handle the task the deadly flat tone of the Kazekage carried over to him
"If Uzumaki Naruto dies because to chose to work on that scum first I will personally make sure that your body, the Uchiha's and Haruno's will never be found.
At that voice he did flinch, but he took off.
Once Shizune took Naruto away to start his healing Anko and Gaia were left alone. Gaia looked at the ground, before turning to Anko who was in her own thoughts.
"Mitirashi-san. I'm going to go find my sister after which I will go and wait for Tsunade-sama in her office," said Gaia
"Why is that Kazekage-sama?" asked Anko.
Gaia looked at Anko with eyes that could make many shiver in fear. "I do not trust your village with Uzumaki naruto's life. Temari is my personal guard while I am in Konoha, but I am perfectly safe. I will station her at Uzumaki Naruto's room once his surgery is done and I know his life is safe," said Gaia.
She just hoped that she wouldn't walk in on her sister and her boyfriend... again.
Location: Konoha
Place: Hokage Tower, Council Chamber
Time: 1345
Tsunade pushed open the doors of the Council chamber as she was flanked by both Jiraya and ANBU commander Dragon. As she looked around, she got the idea that the majority of the council thought that this was a waste of their time while others had satisfied looks on their faces. No doubt hearing the news Of what happened at the gates and happy that their pet Uchiha was back and hopefully to stay.
It was always a bit telling with the three councils who were allied with whom and the politics that went on in the village especially considering that there were technically four councils that made up Konoha's larger council overall. The Civilian Council, The Shinobi Council, the Clan Council, and the Elder Council. While Tsuande had Overall power of the village some things were put into the Konoha charter, which allowed the Civilian Council a lot of power for its branch. They oversaw the day-to-day running of the village and even had a hand in the academy curriculum. Despite the protests of the Shinobi council on this, it was their department, something Tsunade was going to change. It was the second council to be formed right after the clan council. It had been formed by her grandfather in the belief that if the position of Hokage was absolute then it could lead to an inevitable civil war within not just the village, but the Land of Fire as a whole. While the villages were technically independent City States, they still had connections to the Dayimyo as they lived within the borders of that lord's land and therefore had responsibilities to said lord. The current head of the Civilian council was retired Jonin, a former member of team 7 Under Jiraya's era, and former teammate to Namikaze Minato and Hyuga Hiashi, Haruno Kizuki.
Next came the Shinobi council. The militant arm of the council that oversaw the day-to-day mission power of Konoha. The Barrier Defense team, The Information Sector which was divided into two further sectors of T&I and the cipher unit, the ANBU black ops which rarely answered a summons. Instead, if they needed to sit in on a council meeting they were referred to as Konoha Security as ANBU itself was supposed to be a myth, the Patrol Division, The Medical unit, The Active Units and the team Commander AKA Jonin Commander, and the reserve Division. This arm of the council was currently under the leadership of Nara Shika.
The clan Council was a bit different from the others as they had no real representative and instead spoke for their clans and the interests of their clans. While Konoha had several clans only a few were powerful or influential enough to warrant a seat on the council while other clans were more subservient of the stronger clans. Officially Konoha only had Four Noble clans that sat on the Clan Council while others were subservient to them. The Akamichi, Aburame, Hyuga, and Uchiha clans were the official Royal clans of Konoha. Of course with the Uchiha massacre that occurred over a decade ago their spot had been filled in by the Yamanaka Clan.
Finally, was the Elder Council or as they should have been called the Advisory Council to the Hokage. To date, this council has only had one change to it. When Sarutobi left his spot on said council to retake the seat of Hokage. The elder council was made up of the Third Hokage's Generation. Shima Danzo- the Shinobi of Darkness, Mitokado Homura, and Utatane Koharu. All three had served under the second Hokage in the Second Shinobi War and had been the students of the second Hokage with Danzo following the Will of the Second Hokage, Senju Tobirama who was known as the most cold and gifted member of the Senju clan.
Tsunade went to her seat and sat. "Thank you all for coming so quickly. Let's not beat around the bush. Within the hour that it took for me to get here I know you've all been informed that Rouge Ninja Uchiha Sasuke was captured and returned to the village by Chunin," said Tsunade.
"Uchiha-sama was never officially labeled as a Rouge Ninja of the state, just missing," said a civilian counselor with a grin.
Tsunade frowned at this. She had taken the oath of office just days after Team 7 returned from the Land of Spring- then Snow. Officially She had been in Konoha at the time, but the councilors were running things. Even though she had healed Uchiha Sasuke his mental state was in question, but missions were still coming in and with Konoha's low power, they were sent on the mission. The debrief that came back was less than steller and Tsunade had ordered that Sasuke be returned to the hospital for a psychological evaluation to determine his duty status, but he had gone rouge before that could happen.
Officially the status between missing and rouge was only wording. A missing ninja was just a ninja who abandoned their village and would/could cross paths with them on a mission. A Rouge Ninja was a ninja who went out of their way to target their village of origin with the intent to destabilize it. Officially konoha had two Rouge ninjas that had not been captured or killed as of today. Orochimaru and Uchiha Itachi. The other official part of the designation was that a missing Ninja could return to their home village, while a Rouge ninja was to be executed on-site.
While the Civilian Council was quick to kiss he Uchiha's ass hoping to rip the benefits and join their families to his as several of them had children, the Shinobi council was split down the middle as to how to feel about the Uchiha, while the Clan council felt that the Uchiha should have been written off since Sasuke was the last member of his family and as he hadn't been put into the Clan restoration Program by Sarutobi and the Elder Council's own choice they were not worth the resources they used to keep him such as the entire Uchiha district which could hold over 200 families, not including the Military police and Barracks that were left unused.
"You think that he's loyal after being missing for almost 5 years?" as Hiashi with a frown.
Inuzuka Tsume who was an Ally/retainer of the Hyuga Clan growled in annoyance. "In case you forgot councilor many of our shinobi were injuries trying to retrieve Uchiha Sasuke. One of which was my son," said Tsume.
Another counselor narrowed her eyes. "And they failed. They should have been pushed alongside that...Uzumaki boy," said the woman choosing her words carefully.
"Are you saying Tsunade-Sama made a mistake?" asked Danzo making the civilian council shiver.
Kizaki narrowed his eyes at Danzo. While Danzo was a loyalest to the Konoha, he was something of a fickle person when it came to the choices made.
"What do you mean Danzo-sama?" as Kizaki
"At the time we were under strength, and customer requests were coming in dozens by the hour. Our forces were spread so thin we barely had enough people to send out on a mission and even had to forgo our normal four-man cell in favor of two. The fact that Four Genin and a newly minted Chunin were abile to deprive Orochimaru of five of his greatest assets. All in all, I say it was a trade-off that while not 100 percent great we did deprive Orochimaru of at least Three now-extinct bloodline limits," said Danzo.
"But we lost Uchiha-sama!" yelled the same Female.
"The Uchiha Clan hasn't been relevant for almost 10 years and the mighty tree that is Konoha has survived and thrived without them," said Homura.
"That still doesn't tell us about what happened between Uzumaki and Uchiha.
"I'm waiting for the reports now, but I can tell you that I'm going to throw Uchiha into the deepest hole I can, take out his eyes and extract enough sperm to start a whole new Uchiha clan with vouleenters after we check what's left of the entire Uchiha Clans estates, Vaults, and cash," said Tsunade.
Before anyone could say anything else A massive Eruption of chakra flooded the entire chamber of the Council. No one who was there would ever forget the most evil feeling of this chakra. So dense that it choked the air, so thick that not only seeing it was possible but so was touching it. So dark that it made the nights look bright in comparison.
"What the hell!?" asked Tsunade.
"The seal on the child is breaking!" yelled A civilian merchant.
"Tsunade we order you to kill that child now!" yelled Homura, panic clear in the elder man's voice. "Least we suffer another night like the one where the seal on Kushina broke.
Tsunade didn't answer, but she looked at Homura with narrowed eyes. Jiraya who was sitting just behind her had vanished the moment he felt Kyubi's chakra.
"I'll be damned if I allow you or anyone to harm that boy after the shit you put him through!"
"Calm yourself Tsunade-sama you're thinking with your emotions and not with logic. Logic tells us that -," started Hiashi only to be cut off as a scapal was thrown at him and it was only thanks to being a jonin and a Hyuga that he was able to dodge the item.
"Let me explain something to you morons. Every beating, attack, and emotional damage you did to that boy could have released the seal. And had the seal broken then we would be in a world of shit as only someone of Uzumaki blood could hold back the Kyubi no Kitsune," said Tsunade.
Tsume frowned. "But the pup is an orphan. Sure, he shares the name with old Tomato, but that's it. Sarutobi-sama gave him that name out of respect for her," said
Shika looked at them all before he looked at the elders. His official role here wasn't as part of the clan council but as the Head jonin, second in authority to only the Hokage when it came to military matters. A position that Tsunade created when she took the seat. In other words, he had become privy to SS- ranked secrets that no one wanted to get out.
"Honorable elders, do you want to tell the council or should I?" asked Shika.
Danzo frowned. "This is not to place to reveal such secrets Head Jonin Nara,"
Haruno Kazuki looked at Shika and Danzo. While no longer an active Shinobi he was once a student of Jiraya's, teammate to Hiashi and Minato. So if anyone was going to be anble to figure things out it was hime.
"As Speaker for the Civilian Council I think we have a right to know what the hell is going on," said Kazuki.
"Nara Shika I do not give you permission to release that information!" yelled Tsunade.
"These people don't have a right to know before the brat," said Jiraya frowning
Shika looked at Tsunade with his eyes slightly narrowed. " Tsunade-sama, Jiiraya-sama forgive me, but if this even makes for a fraction of the sins I allowed to happen, then I'll bear any punishment you will give me, but the things denied to that child have left a bad taste in my mouth and my clan's mouth for several years. Yoshino wanted to adopt him, Tsume wanted to adopt him, hell even Uchiha Mikoto wanted to adopt him, but we were all blocked because of that secret and fear of what would happen if anyone person became the parent that Uzumaki Naruto needed," said Shika
"It was done so the boy would be loyal to no one clan over the entire Village. A Jinchiruki's life is one of sacrifice and loneliness. Even that sentimental fool Hiruzen-kun knew that," said Koharu
"It was deemed a SS-ranked secret with only the sitting Hokage, ANBU commander, Jonin commander, Elder Council, and Jiraya-sama being made privy to to this information. I wasn't Jonin Commander at the time but was made away when I was given the position around the time all the Rookie 9 started the Academy.
"Shika... what have you done?" asked Inochi looking at his lifelong brother in arms.
"Shika-san why would you do something so foolish!?" asked Choza.
"Uzumaki Naruto's real name is Namikaze-Uzumaki Naruto. Son of the Fourth Hokage Namikaze Minato and Uzumaki Kushina," said Shika ignoring his friends/teammates outbursts
The room went absolutely silent at this huge revelation. What had they done to their hero's son? Many of the Civilians were processing this information and realized that even if the Uchiha was unavailable they had the legacy of two of Konoha'smost deadly shinobi and one of whom was one of the last known Uzumaki in the entire elemental nation! The treasures that were lost to time in Uzu could be theirs!
"Oh and lets make things even more interesting. If Uzumaki Naruto dies, it's not a question of If the Kyubi will reform, just a matter of when. Commander Prepare all ANBU units in the village and station them at 500 years away from the hospital. In case the worst happens, I need them all to be prepared," snorted Jiraya rising as Tsunade from her seat.
"Nara Shika as of this moment you are stripped of your position as Head Jonin! We will speak about further punishments at a later date just know that until summoned you will be under house arrest!" said Tsunade.
Shika bowed his head to Tsunade as a pair of Anbu appeared behind him before all three teleported away.
"Where are you going Tsunade?" asked the old hag of the Elder council.
"I'm going to make sure my village is still intact and that the Kazekage hasn't killed any of my medical staff," said Tsunade.

Time: 1450
Shizune wiped the sweat from her brow as she worked on mending a bone that had basically shattered into 1000 pieces in Naruto's leg. How he was able to move let alone walk the way he did was a testament to his willpower. The first apprentice of Tsunade was sure that Naruto only made it back on sure willpower alone. He was missing his left eye which someone might not have noticed if the area was swollen shut, his lungs were burned, his heart was working overtime, several of his bones were broken and his nerves were shot in several places. They were even having to break the bones as they repaired nerves just to stop something from healing incorrectly.
"We need 40 CC's of blood!" said Shizune as she ran through hand signs. "Healing Arts: Sutura!" said Shizune.
It was a small temporary sutra that would stop bleeding for a few minutes. Just something that Shizune needed as they got to work on his heart and lungs. Kami The damage the Uchiha did to Naruto was crazy. Shizune wasn't even sure she had seen many of these injuries in the past.
The team that was with her was doing their best, but to keep up with Naruto's healing and regeneration was a task in and of itself. They were probably only 25 percent of the way into making sure that Naruto was at least in the clear when it happened. the heart monitor went flat. This sent Shizune into panic mode before she went to see what she needed to do to help the man she loved- like that little brother before an explosion of malevolent chakra escaped Naruto's body. This blew away several people, including Shizune.
The doors burst open with Gaia, her beautiful blonde sister Temari, Tsunade, and Jiraya.
"What the hell is going on!" yelled Tsuande as even she was struggling to stand.
"I don't know!" yelled Shizune.
Gaia narrowed her eyes before she walked forward and began to run though hand signs as her teal eyes turned yellow with a star in them. "Everyone stay back. This is Youki and only another Jinchiruki could stand this level of Youki. Barrier technique: Evil Nullification!" yelled Gaia as she slammed her hands on to the ground creating a barrier around her and Naruto she walked over to Naruto and placed her head against his.
"GAIA!" yelled Temari as the chakra vanished.
Jiraya grabbed Temari by her arm and kept her back. "No it's to dangerous to go anywhere near that barrier!
"Forgive my intrusion. Shukaku... Take me to Naruto-kun take me to the man who awakened and stole my heart," said Gaia.
"You got it, partner!"
The world went black for Gaia as the rest of the room looked on in fear.

And Cut. I hope you guys enjoyed. I will say that medical explications are NOT my forta aside from the basic ones. The original creator of Pain suffering healing did a way better job at explaining this, but I will say that in the Original Gaara wasn't even a factor in the story.
