Summary: People could go though periods of pain, people endured times of suffering, but after all of that came the healing. Uzumaki Naruto has suffered though pain his entire 17 years of life. Now three beauties will do their best to heal his soul, mind, and heart.

Hope everyone enjoyed the last chapter. I know I seemed a bit random with the way I did it, but I promise there is a method to the madness. To be perfectly honest I'm having a helluva time right now.

Chapter 5: Suffering Pt 2

Location: Konoha

Place: Konoha Hospital, Naruto's Room

Time: 1445

Tsunade rubbed her temples in annoyance, trying to relive the tension headache that had built up in her head. Despite being the world's greatest Medical Ninja, even she couldn't cure something natural like This. An entire week had passed since Naruto had returned and he was proving just how big a freaking headache unconscious as he was awake. Meetings with the council on his condition and future clan status, debriefing from the security teams protecting Naruto, and several people asking if Naruto would be entered into the CRA program. And that was just Naruto. The headaches for the Uchiha were tenfold. Even two of her most promising Kunoichi of this Generation had decided to go to the Uchiha Protection Detail in hopes of getting into his pants.

Sakura she understood as she knew that the girl was still harboring some feelings for the Uchiha, but Ino. She was sure that the girl had gotten over her crush. If her reputation for sleeping around when not on missions was to be taken at face value. Something that was known only in the Kunoichi circles. There were even rumors that she was dating Shima Sai, Danzo's grandson, and still sleeping with other men behind his back.

And these were the easy things!

Thanks to this several things had been put off including a rather important meeting that was coming up with the Spring Daymio. But that was international. She first had to deal with domestic. She couldn't very well ask to go to someone elses house if hers wasn't up to snuff. Besides she was coming to Konoha because she needed to speak with Naruto about something important.

The door to her office opened and Shizune came in with Nara Shika standing there with three Jonin acting as his retaining squad. Instead of his Jonin attire he was dressed in his official Nara clan uniform. His head was held high, and he had the look of a man who already knew his fate. His headband in his shackled right hand.

So, he's under the impression that he will lose it all," thought Tsunade.

Shizune bowed. "As you requested Tsunade-sama Former Jonin Commander Nara Shika has been brought before you," said Shizune

He tried to hold in his wince, but Shika didn't do a good enough job to hide from her eyes. He knew that just the title alone and the formal way Shizune spoke had him in the doghouse. Hell, it was almost as bad as his wife and son calling him a fool for doing what he did. This could easily put his family in jeopardy with the wrong people, namely the council who would want to keep certain things in the dark. However, the days of children getting blamed for their parent's mistakes were long over if he believed that he wouldn't have revealed Naruto's heritage to the council. a calculated risk to be sure, but he wasn't Hatake Sakumo. He had too much to live for to die here in this office.

"That will be all for today leave us and attend to your duties at the hospital Shizune," said Tsunade.

"Hai Tsunade-sama," said Shizune as she closed the door behind her.

Shika dropped to a knee.

"Shika you know why you are here correct?"

"I do Hokage-sama," said Shika

"You disclosed an SS-ranked state secret that was not your right to share. 17 years that secret was hidden for Naruto's protection. When I inherited the files of Sarutobi-sensei he told me why he did such things ina journal that he left for his predecessor. I can agree in part with keeping the fact that Minato was his father, but Kushina his mother wasn't something I could really stand, and I only discovered it after he left. Naruto is kin to me though our shared Uzumaki blood and while I can't act as Clan Head and Hokage I can tell you that had this been left for the Clan Council to decide your clan would be paying for this instead of just yourself," said Tsunade.

Shika kept quiet.

"The actions you took in that chamber were the highest of disrespect for the Position of Hokage and Konoha as a whole. Such a thing could result in your death. Do you have anything to say for yourself?" said Tsunade as two ANBU appeared next to him.

"I have put my affairs in order Tsuande-sama. what that boy went through because of Sarutobi, Jiraya-sama, the elders... and even yourself wasn't right. That boy suffered more than anyone should have. We could have told him his heritage as an Uzumaki instead of allowing him to think that he was alone in this world. We could have... It doesn't matter now. We messed up, but that was no excuse for me to do what I did in those chambers. Whatever punishment that you give me... I will accept with dignity, even if it is my death," said Shika.

Tsunade looked at him. "Jonin Nara Shika, I do not plan to kill you. In fact, losing your brilliant mind would strike more of a blow to Konoha than losing the entire Uchiha clan did, but I will punish you accordingly. As stated in the Council Chambers you are no longer Jonin commander. Your rank of Jonin is stripped from you. As of this moment you are Chunin Nara Shika. You will also be regulated to the Konoha Correctional Facility in level 3 for a period of two years. After which you will be on probation for the next five years. At that point you may retire or try to earn your former position as Jonin, but you will never hold the position of Jonin Commander Again," said Tsunade.

"Hai Tsunade-sama," said Shika putting the headband on the desk as the shackles were replaced with a pair of chakra suppressing cuffs. He bowed one last time before he was taken away.

All things considered he had gotten off light and at least he had a chance to see his son and wife again.

Once the door closed Tsunade allowed all the tension in her body. She reached into her desk and pulled out a bottle of sake and took a drink. She had to do so much and a drink to take the edge off was warranted.

"You okay Hime?" asked Jiraiya sitting on the window seal.

"Honestly? No. I just lost one of my best Jonin, because he betrayed Konoha in a roundabout way," said Tsunade.

"Considering the secret that's we're all keeping from the brat... what do you think is going to happen when he learns the secret that you're keeping from him?" asked the Toad sage

Tsunade didn't answer her husband and instead chose to wrap her around herself.

Location: Konoha

Place: Hospital, Shizune's office

Time: 1500

Many people would think that Shizune would be to busy with her Job as Tsunade's secretary, Head of the Medical Ninja Division, and part time teacher of the Medical Division teaching and testing. They would be right, but Shizune often times balanced her duties at the desk outside of Tsunade's office and employed The Chunin Duo of Hagane Kotetsu and Kamizuki Izumo as pseudo secretaries and bodyguards, when Shizune's duties carried her away from her master. Shizune also held a seat on the Shinobi Council as all Division heads did. However, as she was also Tsunade's secretary her vote was automatically Abstained as she was to close to the Hokage for her decision to be made rationally. As if it really mattered to her what the council thought. They were a bunch of hypocrites as it was.

Currently Shizune found herself in her office at the hospital. While Shizune could normally fulfill her duties from her desk outside of Tsunade's office, helping Naruto required her to be here. As the second-best medic in Konoha, she was the only one aside from Tsunade qualified to monitor the resident Uzumaki.

Shizune saw that her desk was piled with papers. She sighed as she picked them up and began to read though them. Medical supplies that needed to be moved to patrol bases; VIPs that needed to be seen too. Medical specific missions that only the Medical Division could carry out. It was a lot that was on her plate, but she could regulate this to the Sub Directors. Nothing she needed to burden herself with as Naruto-kun was her priority.

Shizune picked up a picture on the desk. It was a picture of Tsunade, Jiraiya, Naruto, and herself shortly after Tsunade became Hokage. Naruto was standing there with The Hokage hat on, and Tsunade was wearing the traditional Red and white Robes of the Hokage of course they were modified to accommodate her figure, Jiraiya was there as his usual self. And there was Shizune wearing a Kimono that wasn't her usual black battle kimono, but a purple and yellow Yukata that Naruto told her that she looked beautiful in.

Shizune didn't know why, but at the time she blushed, thinking that Naruto was just being his usual sweet self and gave him a kiss. He flushed red making Shizune laugh at him. Later that night during Tsunade's welcome party- A political gathering of Who's who in the village- Shizune was left alone as no one wanted to dance with her. At least no one her age. Here she was 24 at the time, no experience in dating, having never even kissed a boy. But then again compared to Tsunade who would look at Shizune? A plain jane who was selfconscious of her own reflection.

Well, someone was looking at Shizune. It was Naruto. At the time he barely came up to her shoulders. But when he took her to the dance floor and showed her the time of her life. Naruto was a surprisingly good dancer. Not once did he set on Shizune's feet. They danced several times, and even traded off partners occasionally, but Shizune had fun. More fun than she could really remember having in recent years. By the end of the night a tipsy Shizune was laughing and energized. She felt like she could take on the world! Naruto had even escorted her home as a proper gentleman. Shizune couldn't remember if she ever blushed that hard in her life. As cliché as it was, Naruto made her feel like the only girl in the world. His smile was sweet as well. Not the cocky grin that he normally had plastered on his face. It was a true smile that was as warm as the sun.

That made her wonder if they were compatible?

Shizune had never been a fan of Chakra Theory, where Women were attracted to men with higher levels of chakra or chakra that was compatible with their own. However, Shizune figured that something was there for her as Naruto had Wind Chakra with a minor Water affinity. Shizune herself had a earth affinity with a minor fire and wind Affinity. It was how she had created the poison Jutsu that she used. She even used Hanzo the Salamander as an inspiration for her jutsu; as he was the only known user of poison release in the world. There was a second part to chakra theory, but Shizune would not confirm or deny that she deviled heavily into that research during the last five years. Even having seen what Naruto had under his clothes recently.

Just a few short days after the party, the Uchiha was 'kidnapped' by elite forces of Oto. Shziune was out of the village on a humanitarian mission at the time to a nearby civilian village so had been unaware of the incident. She gained some knowledge when she ran across two Jonin who had been attacked and nearly killed but didn't know much about it. Naruto and a few of his friends were assigned to go after the Uchiha in what was deemed a 'no fail rescue mission'. Shizune begged Tsunade to go out and help them out, but as Shizune herself just came from a mission and was needed at the hospital. Tsunade with a heavy heart, but steel in her voice denied her request. The entire two days that Naruto and his team was out some of the most nerve wrecking of Shizune's life. When he returned, hurt but alive Shizune cried tears of distress and joy. Shizune figured that it was around that time that she realized that she; Koto Shziune had feeling for a young man who was 10 years her junior. Not the greatest age gap there was, but Naruto was still two years from marrying age at the time of the Uchiha Retrieval mission.

Shizune blushed. "What am I thinking? By the Sage he's young enough to be my little brother," thought Shizune.

"But he's not your little brother," came another part of her.

"He's important to Tsunade-sama!" thought Shizune.

"She would give you her blessing to marry him. She already loves you both as her own children. Hell, she practically adopted you after your parents and uncle Dan died during the Third War. She would be ecstatic if you had children for her to spoil rotten," said the other voice again with a teasing edge.

"NO! Naruto-kun has several girls his age that would be better suited for him," said Shizune.

"Oh please! Those little girls have treated him like trash his entire life. You read the files. You could teach him a thing or two. Or maybe he could teach you something. He needs a real woman like us in his life," said the other voice.

Shizune blushed atomic red and had to fight steam from coming out of her ears. She lost this fight when a picture of Naruto's new shirtless body flashed though her mind.

A knock sounded on her office door bring her back from her daydreams.

"Come in," said Shizune.

The door opened and a young woman walked into the room. She was probably a few years older than Sakura, she wore a nurse's uniform, and her long orange hair was done in the traditional top ponytail of the Yamanaka clan. Her face also had the angular features of a female Yamanaka. Were it not for her green eyes, hair, and more slender build she would have mistaken her for Ino.

"Ayaka-san? To what do I owe the pleasure?" asked Shizune close to her window to get some air.

The now named Ayaka smiled. "Sorry to bother you Koto-san, but I was sent to retrieve a scroll by Dr. Tokiyoka. It's on a patient that is under his care He said he sent you a message, but you didn't respond," said Ayaka.

"Yes of course. I have the scroll that you mean. Sorry about that Ayaka-san I've been a bit preoccupied lately," said Shizune.

Ayaka gave a tinker bell like laugh. "I understand Shizune-san. You're always so busy, it's a wonder you have time to date," said

"Nothing like that. I currently don't have a significant other to my name," said Shizune.

"If you're up for it a few friends of mine are having a mixer tonight after our shifts. A few Jonin and Chunin are going to be there with us," said Ayaka with a smile.

"Sorry it's not my thing, besides... I do have someone I have my eyes set on currently," said Shizune as she turned to her desk to gather the scroll the young woman asked for.

Ayaka smiled. "I hope I get to met him soon,"

Location: Konoha

Place: Konoha Hospital, Naruto's Room

Time: 1745

The Rookie 9 or later as they came to be known as the Konoha 11 were the Generation of Clan Heirs and Heiresses with the exception of Rock Lee, Higirashi Tenten, Haruno Sakura, and Uzumaki Naruto who were all extremely gifted in their particular chosen field. The Konoha 11 had the current record of the fastest generation to reach Chunin and Jonin with three Jonins in their ranks of Aburame Shino, Rock Lee, and Hyuga Neji. Other than that, the Ino-Shika-Cho trio were still a force to be reckoned with even this newer generation. Tenten could easily be considered the leader of the girls, but often bumped heads with Ino who considered herself 'queen bitch' of the Konoha 11. Inuzuka Kiba was probably the fiercest fighter among the entire Konoha 11 thanks to the nature of the Inuzuku clan as a whole and he had the scars to prove it. Finally with Naruto gone training, and Sakura as the repentance of Tsunade that left Hyuga Hinata out in the cold.

Or it would have had she not done a 180 and started to train like no one's business. Gone was the gentle wallflower. In her place was a bold, confident, young woman who was already making a name for herself across the Elemental Nations. She was well known to several of Konoha's clients, and her mission success rate was 97 percent. As like all Hyuga: Hinata bore the two clan traits well pale skin and white irises that held their legendary bloodline limit the byakugan, but in Hinata and her little sister Hanabi's case their eyes were closer to lavender then white; Hinata was almost possible the most beautiful woman in her generation with only that slut Ino being competition to her in the looks department. Pale skinned and slender, Hinata's most defining trait was that her breasts rivaled those of Tsunade's. Her dark blue hair reaches her lower back, and the framing strands reach shoulders while the rest of her hair extends beyond her hips, to match her new attitude her clothes were much bolder than she would have worn during her academy days. she wore a form-fitting light lavender, sleeveless kimono-style blouse with vertical lines that was opened just enough at the valley of her breasts to tease what treasure await there, tied with a dark purple obi around her waist and short dark navy shorts. She also wore thigh-high stockings with black, open-toed boots. She looked at the gentle fist and discovered the flaw with her family's fighting style after an off handed comment by Naruto during the Bug catching mission. How the style always seemed to not work for her. How compared to how she acted it was too rigid and stiff. This was compared to how Hinata seemed to have a flow about her that just reminded Naruto of water. So, she took that to heart and began to train at a river and mimic the current, swift yet strong, calm on the surface, but powerful and deadly under it. It was this training that led Hinata to creating the Gentle fist offshoot, the flowing fist.

This was all Hyuga Hinata could think about as she looked at the prone and bandaged form of the man she admired. The man that she was sure she loved. After the attacks by the civilians and the rouge group of Shinobi who attacked Naruto, people had been incensed. they all thought that Tsunade was making a mistake by allowing the 'Demon' to be in the hospital and not free the people who attacked him or pardon the Uchiha. Of course, Wolves don't concern themselves with the opinions of sheep. Even so enough sheep making noise would make their shepherds nervous.

It had gotten to the point where Tsunade had issued Marshal law over the entire village with them needing to be indoors by 1900 unless you are leaving for a mission, returning from a mission, or were part of a handpicked group of people that were guarding both Uzumaki Naruto and Uchiha Sasuke. For Sasuke several people wanted the job of protecting the Last Uchiha. In the end Tsunade had a guard rotation of 24 people watching him around the clock with strict orders not to remove the bandages covering his eyes or the cuffs on his hands, not because she feared he would lose them, but because she didn't know what Naruto had done to the bandages and even Jiraiya wasn't sure what would type of seal was on them.

"I can't believe that Naruto got his ass kicked this bad," said Kiba looking at Naruto.

"Naruto didn't get his ass kicked Kiba. He's fully healed. His body is just recovering. The bandages are still in place from where his skin was damaged," said Iruka

"Yeah, but he's been in a coma for a week now. Hell, even Sasuke has already woken up even if he can't do much at the moment," said Kiba

She was sidetracked by the voice of one of the two people on the watch with her. Currently, Hinata was on her shift on the Uzumaki guard as it were. She was paired with her old Teammate Kiba, his nin dog Akamaru, and their former Sensei Umino Iruka.

Often it was Sasuke and Naruto compared to Sakura and Ino, when in truth it was Naruto and Kiba who should have been compared against each other. As Sakura and Ino had similar personalities so did Naruto and Kiba. Ino and Kiba were from clans, Naruto and Sakura were not. Kiba and Ino were the best fighters of the respective genders during their academy days when Naruto and Sakura were horrible at Taijutsu. Both Naruto and Sakura had improved by leaps and bounds and could be considered the strongest members of the Konoha 11

"You're wrong Kiba, Naruto-kun won his fight against Uchiha-san. Had he not how could he have carried him back to Konoha in a broken condition," said Hinata scratching Akamaru behind the ears as he laid his massive head in her lap.

Sometimes she wondered if Akamaru would be tempted to become her Nin-hound?

Kiba scratched his head, almost like a dog. "Can this be called a victory though Hinata-chan? I mean he's here laid up in the hospital alongside Sasuke. I mean yeah, the Kyubi healed him and all, but he's been like this for days,"

"And yet from what Jiraya-sama has said Naruto was only at half-strength and he beat Sasuke. You also have to think that Naruto had to hold back as not to kill Sasuke-san," said the scared Chunin.

"I would have killed him. To hell with bringing back that traitor," said Kiba without missing a beat.

It was something of a taboo subject in the Konoha 11. Shino, Kiba, Neji, Tenten, and Hinata herself were all in the camp of 'On-Site' Sasuke is dead. Where's Ino, Shikamaru, Choji, Sakura, and Lee were all for capturing Sasuke as he was a comrade. If you added Naruto to the mix it was a clear 6-5 in favor of capturing Sasuke. Of course, it was all decided that Sasuke as a whole was a taboo subject in their group. That didn't stop Ino or Sakura from bringing him up from time to time when they all went out drinking together.

"Kiba-san Sasuke was a Missing Ninja with a Capture on-site order," said Iruka taking up for his former student. Same, as he would have for any of them.

"Only because the council in their oh-so-great wisdom gave him that on some BS story about a cursed seal," said Kiba frowning.

Hinata had to agree with the dog-themed young man. The Council did overstep its boundaries in labeling Sasuke as only mere missing Ninja with a B-rank. Shinobi from Civilian families didn't understand the complexities of seals or how deadly a person like Sasuke who was focused nay obsessed with revenge could be.

While the Hyuga were not seal master's by any means it took a Seal master of Rank 4 to apply the Cadged bird seal and to use it one had to be a level 2 seal master. Even Hinata who never planned to use/apply the seal was a level Three Seal Mistress Considering how complex seals where it was a wonder anyone knew how to use Explosive tags and sealing scrolls. In short without understanding the seal that was on Naruto's stomach one couldn't call him the Demon brat or Kyubi reincarnated.

Oh Hinata wasn't stupid she had known that Naruto was the container of the Kyubi- hence why Kiba was able to bring it up as all three people in the room knew this- since they had started the Academy. While she had been born after Naruto, she was all too familiar that most adults talked and forgot children were around. So when her caretaker told her to stay away from Naruto and Kurenai echoed him by saying that Naruto was a dangerous person to be around Hinata had to find out.

That led her down a rabbit hole of conspiracies, secrets, and the like that she had to keep hidden in a journal with a delay switch that if she was ever 'killed' or taken away within the borders of Konoha and the Land of Fire against her will, she would trigger a war that Konoha would not survive. All for the sake of the man she loved. Of course, if Naruto ever asked her to destroy the evidence she would.

Before the conversation could go any further the door to the room opened with Shizune walked in followed by Rock Lee, Akamichi Choji, and Mitirashi Anko.

"Guard Change and Medical check-up," said Shizune.

"Passcode," said Iruka.

"A gentle Leaf."

"In the breeze,"

"Creates a Mighty oak,"

Iruka nods. "Passcode and order of the day rotation confirmed," said Iruka as all the tension left his neck. "Thanks. We've had at least two imposters come along for early relief,"

"Were they any trouble?" asked Shizune.

"None at all SHizune-chan," said Hinata.

"HA!" came the barking laugh of Kiba. "Hintata took them all out by herself,"

"THat;s good to here. I would hate for anything to happen to Naruto, knowing how close he is to Hokage-sama," said Shizune letting out a sigh of relief.

"I hear you Shizune-chan. In fact, I'm starting to get worried about Naruto-kun. He's been sleeping for far to long," said Iuka looking at his former student

Shizune laughed and flashed a smile at Iruka that made him blush. "it's fine iruka-kun. I'm sure Naruto will wake up any day now," said Shizune

"I hope so," thought Anko looking at Naruto.

Hinata narrowed her eyes but kept her killing intent in check. "Keep your hands off of my Naruto-kun you whore!" Hinata all but yelled at Anko using her eyes.

As Shizune reached over to check Naruto's pulse, his eyes shot open as he grabbed Shizune and threw her onto the bed, before reaching into her Kimono and pulling out a kunai and putting it to her neck. Hinata, Kiba, Iruka, Anko, and Choji all took up fighting positions thinking that Naruto was out of his mind. It also amazed them that Naruto moved so fast

"What did you do to Shizune?" asked Naruto with a frown.

"What are you talking about Naruto? I am Shizune!" said Shizune.

"Naruto calm down! This is Shizune-chan," said Iruka.

"He's right Naruto. Akamaru would have smelled if it was a transformation and-," started Kiba only to feel a pluse of chakra.

"Maybe her body, but not her mind,"

"Alright Naruto you've had your fun, but you need to let me go now," said Shizune with a laugh.

Naruto narrowed his eyes. "Shizune doesn't call me Naruto," said Naruto

Shizune's eyes widened as she opened her mouth to bite her tongue only for Naruto to thrust his hand into her mouth as she bit down, drawing blood. Naruto didn't even wince as her teeth sank deep into his hand.

"Hold down her arms and don't knock her out!" said Naruto.

Choji and Kiba grabbed her arms, while Anko and Iruka grabbed her legs and Hinata grabbed her neck.

Naruto took two fingers and pressed them to her head. "Sealing technique: Compulsion Mind Cage!"

Chakra shot out of Naruto's hand and into Shizune's head were her eyes glasses over.

"Who are you?" asked Naruto.

"Ayaka... Yamanaka Ayaka," came a different voice from Shizune's Mouth.

"Why did you use the mind Transfer on Shizune?" asked Naruto.

"I... Did it on the... orders of the Council,"

"Which Council...

"I... Can't Say... Orders... kill or cripple... Uzumaki Naruto," said Ayaka.

"What's going on why is she speaking like that?" asked Iruka.

"She's trying to resist the compulsion and break the Jutsu," said Anko

"What is your location?" asked Naruto.

"Hospital... Director Shizune's office," said Ayaka.

Naruto eyes narrowed before he formed two shadow clones without hand seals. The clones knew what their mission was and rushed off to the office.

"Everyone looked at Naruto in awe at what had just happened.

The Blond looked at everyone in the room and smiled. "So... what have I missed in the last five years?" asked Naruto.
