It's been quite some time, but I think I owe you guys an explanation. After uploading the last chapter, I completely lost any motivation to write. It wasn't a writer's block for the story, more so just no passion to write anymore. I was talking to Craytherlay and HelixPenn recently, and they made me realize that I should at least take a look at what I left off with. After all this, I have now regained my motivation to write, and the ending is now in sight! This is the start of a new arc. I will list them here right now.
Ch. 1-4: Joker's Resurgence Arc
Ch. 5-6: Daihasei Festival Arc
Ch. 7-8: FORMULA's Matter Arc
Ch. 9-11: England Index Rescue Arc
Ch. 12-15: Finding Ruin Arc
Ch. 16-18: ? Arc
SkullWolfSteam: Thanks a lot! Akechi was the easiest to write considering how open-ended his fate was.
Tenma Kirin: Yes I will!
Phantom Thief of Hearts: It's been a while since you've left a review, was scared you dropped the story. There might be more interactions, who knows? Akechi's involvement might be something people might not like, but I think he's a good addition. FORMULA is indeed disposable, who knows who's behind them… New demons might be added, not sure on that front yet. Dark Matter and Endymion will not be covered, more so because I'm not really interested in writing that.
Craytherlay: Or am I really shipping them, just to break them down later? BWAHAHA
All Hail Lord Megatron: Glad you enjoy the fic! Hoping to get better as I go.
Guest: There are already so many members that adding the rest of the Phantom Thieves would seem like a convenient trope. Maybe in an omake?
DukeOfWisdom: Very true, glad you caught on to that.
Disclaimer: I do not own Persona 5 Royal or Toaru Majutsu no Index.
"Hey man, are you sure this is a good idea?" Touma asked as he and Ren stood atop the dyke overlooking a familiar field. Curiously, any evidence of the scuffle between Ren and Sogiita Gunha had been erased, most likely due to the maintenance robots that worked on tending Academy City's many natural amenities. Considering that Mikoto seemed to favor this field to tear up every once in a while, Touma didn't doubt that the robots here were working overtime.
"Yeah, I'm sure Akechi needs to blow some steam off. Besides, I'm not so sure how'd he stack up here, so I wanted to see," Ren replied.
"Always the devious planner, aren't you?" Ren merely responded with a wry smirk and a glimmer in his eye that said 'you already know.'
Below, Accelerator and Akechi were in the middle of limbering up, or at least, something close to that. Akechi was going through a series of light stretches while Accelerator cracked his neck and wrists, shaking the tension from his usually loose limbs. Not once did they take their eyes off the other. Akechi heard from Ren that Accelerator's ability was vector manipulation. He couldn't afford to lose focus because if something came right back at him, it would be a pain in the ass. As they seemed to reach a consensus on their shared readiness, Akechi took the first step forward, his body becoming immolated in something Accelerator couldn't really describe. It was a black, smoggy flame that reminded him of a gasoline fire. As the smoke cleared, Goro Akechi was no longer standing in his prim and professional beige suit and khakis, but rather a feral-looking suit of black armor. It was freakishly spiky, like something out of a horror flick. More striking was the helm, a devilish metal cowl with two bird-like openings for eyes and a gaping maw for Akechi's mouth, which was curled into a cruel frown.
"Well then, shall we?" He posed, to which Accelerator had no objections. With a slight nod and a scoff, he reached up and flicked the switch on his choker. The light switched from red to green. A sensation that he could only describe as his brain being submerged in ice overtook his head as he tapped into the network made of 10032 separate minds, now including his own. Calculations whipped through the forefront of his mind at a breakneck pace as he steeled himself.
Taking the initiative, Accelerator tapped the ground with his foot. The calculations were done the second he flipped his choker on, and as he planned, the ground beneath Akechi exploded with the force of a shotgun. Spraying debris like buckshot, the blast enshrouded the black knight in dust. Accelerator frowned. While the old him wouldn't have wasted a moment to gloat about such a quick victory, experience had taught him that quick hits don't count as quick kills. He readied himself for the counterattack that inevitably came.
He waited, and continued to wait. The smoke was taking an awfully long time to clear. What did Akechi have up his sleeve?
The barking to his left took him off guard as a massive three-headed hellhound barrelled down on him with the rage of a burning sun. Kipping out of the way, the boy shot himself back to the far end of the field in an instant as Cerberus's three heads snapped at the space where he stood. He quirked an eyebrow in surprise, the most he would allow. 'Some kind of summon, eh? Or a transformation? Doesn't particularly look like a Persona.' He surmised as Cerberus reared to face him, enraged by his evasion. Deciding that this was the bigger threat, Accelerator lowered himself into a crouch and took one step. Digging in with his forward foot, he quickly calculated the vector that would take him to his target, and sure enough, he landed in the dog's guard with ease.
With both his hands free due to no longer needing his crutch, he used his left to swipe at the exposed breast of the beast. In what could be seen as the world's most crippling slap, he landed a solid strike on the chest of the hellhound, which was all he needed. His fingers made contact and the hound was sent careening over the dyke and parallel the abandoned overpass, a large splash serving as an indicator that it had sunken into the water beyond. But this momentary success was far from an end to the fight as the rushing of wind alerted Accelerator to another strike.
Clashing against his automatic reflection, two crimson flashes lanced outwards and then away, blown back by an equivalent force surrounding the esper. One of the flashes belonged to a chaotic visage of shifting black and white lines, a Rorschach of checkered lines. Two horns sprang from its forehead, while matted braids flowed down its back, still in motion. Held in hand was a crimson blade attached to a handle of gnarled oak, a weapon that could have easily hewn his head from his shoulders had he not had his reflection up. Opposite of him was his second assailant, a boyish man with long blue hair, clothed in a cloak and elaborate white and blue armor. Held in hand was a glimmering spear, flickering the same cruel shade of red as the horned one's sword. Both were frozen in motion, stunned by the force of their own vectors used against them.
"Tch. Real freak show you've got there," he muttered, bringing his body front and center. Both of them were superhuman, of that he was sure, and while Akechi had exhibited transformative abilities before, he doubted that any of them was his real opponent. 'Must be those damned Persona things that Amamiya uses. Nothing less from someone from his old stomping grounds.'
Nevertheless, he assessed the situation with a practiced eye. The striped one was dangerously twitchy, like if you gave a person with tremors a firearm. It shuddered slightly, its head twitching as it remained suspended over the ground like a puppet. Disturbing, and something that Accelerator wanted gone. Unfortunately, the spearman had other plans. His lance, now pure white, struck at Accelerator with speeds he could barely react to, pushing his body and the lance away from each other with gusts of air as he skirted back like a figure skater. His movements were fluid, but the spearman was faster, always keeping up with a martial eye and reflexes like a hunting dog.
The barbed point of his spear skidded up and over Accelerator's shoulder, forcing the boy to grit. He had to end this quickly before the warrior ate up too much of his attention. The striped one was out of his line of sight and he hated that, so he wanted to be done with this one as fast as possible. But if he could neutralize the playing field, the victory was as good as his. Not allowing himself to be pushed around anymore, he stamped his feet in place and analyzed the vectors in the air.
He knew the confines of his power, which unfortunately meant that he couldn't do something as easy as simply forming a parabola and sending this guy to the moon and beyond. Vectors were single lines that moved in one direction, and couldn't curve. Still, that meant that he could put an immense amount of force into any blow he landed, or at least manipulate any environment to his liking. That was the power that Accelerator had. He was sure many things in this world could hit harder or move faster than him. Where his strength came from was his ability to adapt and turn any situation into a favorable one.
Flexing his foot, he willed the earth to explode once more, this time forming a cone of force around the lancer. The debris was set to erupt at timed intervals fifty milliseconds apart, creating a series of constant explosions that knocked the spearman off balance. Being blown back and forth between the blasts, Accelerator made his move. He vaguely noticed movement from the corner of his eye, so he turned up the force of his reflection as he shot forward at the entrapped warrior. Just like with the dog, Accelerator's hand found the man's body, and with a mere nudge, he was sent shooting back like a cannonball. Making an impact with the side of the dyke, the spearman plowed through several feet of dirt and rubble before going still.
Satisfied with the state of his adversary, Accelerator returned his attention to his main foe. Looking back, he saw that while it had moved, the twitching form of what he could assume as Akechi's Persona remained suspended in midair, seemingly staring him down with uncomfortable fixation. 'He was monitoring me, huh?'
And he was right on that, as from whatever shadows he was hiding, the Black Mask emerged from nothingness, flexing his right wrist. "Such a shame, Cerberus and Cu Chulainn took quite a bit to bring into this world," he said, confirming Accelerator's theory of summoning. "Nevertheless, they did some good work. I've got some theories I want to try out. Won't you indulge me, Accelerator?!"
His professional demeanor disappeared as the look in his eyes, obscured by red visors, turned feral. He rushed forward, crying "Burn him alive, Loki!"
The striped figure, now named Loki, rushed forward as well next to his master. Jamming its blade into the ground and roaring in tandem with Akechi's rambling laughs and cackles. Flames erupted around Accelerator, the heat causing sweat to bead across his brow. Tuning up his reflection, he waved his arm and the fire shot off back in Loki and Akechi's direction. Nevertheless, even when being immolated, Akechi's laughter never subsided as Loki shot out from the hellfire and swung its massive blade once more. Batting it aside, Accelerator aimed for the center of mass, but the Persona was too quick, at least quicker than either Cu Chulainn or Cerberus.
"Eigaon!" A bolt of swirling red and black was sent hurtling towards the boy, who wasted no time batting it aside. This time, however, instead of just feeling faint traces of heat with fire, it stung. More than just stung, it properly burned. Wincing in pain, he quickly examined his arm, finding an ugly purple bruise of some sort festering beneath his sleeve. 'Tch, got too close. Gotta make sure these supernatural effects don't touch me!'
Unfortunately for either side, they were both quick studies. Forgoing physical attacks entirely, Loki rushed forward spewing cursed bolts from orifices that sprouted out from throughout its wretched body. Like multiple mouths, they yelled and spat vicious projectiles that forced Accelerator to put all of his focus into weathering the oncoming barrage. Manually altering the vectors at which these curses would be altered, he was able to ensure that they wouldn't get close enough to his skin to burn him.
"Fire, fire, fire! MAKE HIM DISAPPEAAARRRR!" Akechi's shouts of insanity irritated the esper, especially since his Persona reacted in mostly the same way. Loki's movements earned its namesake in full and then some, each erratic twitch and lunge served to make Accelerator sweat as cursed energy flew from it like a machine gun. The worst part about it all was despite Akechi's apparent madness, he was still fully cognizant. He was planning everything from behind his veil of lunacy.
"Loki! Laevateinn!" A pillar of hellfire erupted below the esper, forcing him to redirect all of the flames into a wide disc-like cone around him, the flames petering out about five meters around him, while still flowing upwards. It was like plugging a water fountain jet with a coin or your finger and having the water spray out from around the sides. Like an upside-down birdcage, the flames lapped at the air like tongues, forcing Accelerator to readjust his vectors again, lest their friends be singed. This is when Akechi took his cue to strike.
Leaping from out of the fire on all fours, Akechi himself had his Persona fling him forward and right into Accelerator's space. With all of his attention focused on ensuring that the flames wouldn't hit him or the people watching on the dyke, Accelerator's reflection facing forward was down, and Akechi reared his fist back.
"YYYYYYOOOOOOOUUUUUU'RRRRREEEE MMMMMMIIIIIIIINNNNNEEEEE!" He screamed, a clawed arm swiping at the boy's head. In that split second, Accelerator had to react. Leaning backward, he altered the trajectory of the reflection to his feet. Much like when you change the angle of a disc cutter and have the sparks fly in a different direction, the fire from Loki's Laevateinn had the same effect, instead of shooting back at the attacking Persona. Watching as Akechi's arm sailed over his face, Accelerator then altered the vectors of the wind to pull him aside; the majority of the flames followed him due to the vacuum caused by the air current.
Landing back on his own two feet, and with the flames in his relative control, he wasted no time redirecting them back towards Akechi and Loki. The fire sharpened as it sailed, Accelerator twisting the wind around it to smooth it into a single, precision bolt, which sunk into the ground. The white-hot fire stung his eyes and sent smoke rising into the air as the line of flames engulfed the ground in front of Akechi and Loki, obscuring them from view.
"Had enough experimenting yet?" Accelerator called out as he willed the oxygen from around the flames to pull out and away, suffocating the fire and having it burn itself into nothing but smoke. Sure enough, the haze began to thin and he made out the hunched figure of Akechi shuddering slightly. At first, he was slightly worried that he might have overdone it, but Akechi's head shot up and the visors over his eyes flashed a dangerous red. Loki fell down next to its master, assuming a similar stance, staring dead-on into Accelerator's eyes.
"You… think too much," he said, and strangely enough, Loki mirrored those words with garbled timbre.
Accelerator's eyes widened. His pupils dilated. The ice in his head melted instantly and his chest clenched as if someone had crushed his ribcage with a vice. His vision began to dim from its edges and everything seemed more vivid in comparison. Colors expanded in contrast, the edges of things started to smooth and round into fuzzy masses, and it felt like he was registering time slower as the world passed him by, frame by frame.
Strangely enough, he wasn't looking at Akechi and Loki anymore, he was on his back, staring at the sky. Slowly, his senses came back to him. Colors righted themselves, and his hearing, which he hadn't noticed was gone, started to come back from washed-out noise. Once everything felt like he wasn't submerged in molasses, he spared the effort to look to the side but found that he had immense difficulty doing so. Perhaps the physical blocker had given him enough grasp to start taking in more of everything else, as he started to pick out individual voices.
"Akechi, what the hell!? Why the hell would you do that!?" He could hear Amamiya shouting outside of his field of view.
"Tch, you would have had it under control anyways." The reply came back clearer as his mind returned to full capacity. That's when he took notice of what had happened to his body. It all went slack, at least from the waist down. His arms felt like they were tied down with osmium weights, and he could barely manage speech. All he could get out were some choked grunts as his vocal cords refused to respond to him.
'They cut my connection to the Network!' He realized as the distinct feeling of being plugged into the Misaka Network was gone from his mind. Something must have happened, but he didn't know what. Either way, he had been incapacitated by the others for some reason.
Just then, his vision was filled by the concerned face of Kamijou Touma, who wasted no time in informing the others. Propping Accelerator on his knee, the esper was suddenly greeted with the view of the field, or rather, what was left of it. Massive craters littered the space, barring the hole in the dyke from Cu Chulainn's explosive dispatching. Aside from that, there were large gouging trenches carved into the dirt, as if someone had scooped them out with a spoon. Just then, did he feel a response from his legs and arms, as his head filled with voices of concern carried across the Network.
"...What happ-" he had to pause to cough as his vocal cords restimulated themselves. "What happened while I was out…?" He asked.
Touma frowned. "You don't remember?"
"I wouldn't be asking if I didn't. Did I do this?" Straight to the point, Touma responded with a curt nod as he too looked out on the carnage.
"You're lucky Last Order picked up on this, otherwise we'd be halfway to the moon by now," he responded, helping Accelerator back onto his shaky feet.
"Shit… that bastard Akechi must've done something to the Network. Got me to go berserk and all that, locked me out of control," Accelerator surmised. Touma just shrugged as he feigned understanding.
"Eh, guess so. Ren's giving him a talking to, right now. Take a breather, man." And for his part, Accelerator happily obliged. He could go on a tear about answers later. Right now, he felt more tired than he ever had.
'What the hell happened…?'
"What the hell were you thinking using that on him?" Ren said, ferociously. "What if he never recovered from it?"
"I can tell how sadistic he could be, and I wanted to see him without holding back," Akechi replied with a scholarly tone. "You should be thanking me for giving you evidence. Now you can see what he can do when he doesn't let his feelings restrict him."
Nothing could describe Ren's rage at Akechi right now. He has used an ability that was not in his own arsenal. Ren was the Wild Card, able to summon multiple Personas. Akechi was the psychology disruptor, able to cause psychotic breakdown and mental shutdowns. While Maruki was the cognition changer, able to bend his will on anyone he so pleased, making them believe they are living in bliss or absolute hell.
"I don't want to keep discussing this matter, just make sure that you never use that shit again or I will make sure that you don't come back this time."
"Ha! You don't have the spine for that."
All Ren could do was grit his teeth as he wished that Akechi would just refrain from being a complete asshole. It seemed like a running gag with how often Akechi used villainous methods, but what made it worse was that when he was on their side, it worked. Ren always prayed for Akechi to have some sense of heroism. He was practically a paragon, although he would never admit it.
"Just go back to the dorm and find something to do, I have some business to take care of."
"Alrighty then Amamiya," Akechi responded. "You still have yet to tell me what you're actually doing here too."
"I'll tell you after I'm done with this," Ren said. "But you're not going to like it, so might as well take this time to prepare yourself."
Akechi gave Ren a reaffirming nod as he understood the emphasis Ren put on the situation.
Akechi was a lot of things, but stupid was not one of them. It was something that allowed them to work so well with him even if they didn't have the best chemistry.
'Well, time to go see Index.' the Trickster thought.
Index was healed from any injury she had sustained as Ren instantly cast the familiar green glow around her the moment he saw her back in England. He thought it best to still let her rest before trying to ask her questions about what had happened to her back then.
Ren pulled out his phone and sent a text to Touma. He was sure by this point that he had left the hospital and was back with Index. Ren managed to focus his healing on Accelerator on everything but his brain. It felt weird saying it, but he still didn't want to go against the first ranked Esper's wishes. He thought that they had gotten somewhat close, and doing something like that would be akin to betrayal.
[Touma Kamijou]
You: Hey, how's Index doing?
TK: She's doing good, pretty sure she's just hungry at this point. Did you need anything?
You: Yes actually. I was hoping we could both talk to her about what happened.
TK: That's a good idea. I've been meaning to ask you about that as well.
You: Alright, I'll be there in about ten minutes. I'll pick up some food too.
TK: Sounds good, I'll see you then.
As Ren pocketed his phone, he continued to walk toward his destination. The fact that FORMULA thought that Index was the key didn't seem too crazy, but how would they even go about it? The Metaverse was only available to those who have been bestowed the gift of a Persona, so if they had failed what would they do after that?
Ren quickly visited the convenience store and bought a couple of sandwiches, ramen, and some drinks. Of course, he had to buy enough for a family of eight considering that Index ate enough for six people. But it didn't annoy him, it had become a habit for him.
As he walked with bags in hand, he pondered the idea of letting everyone go into the Metaverse with him. Kanzaki and Touma were exceptions because of their power, but would others be able to fight Shadows? The more he thought, the more he felt that it would only be those two plus Akechi. In the real world, his team consisted of Touma, Misaka, Accelerator, himself, and now Akechi. Kanzaki, Stiyl, Tsuchimikado, Bayloupe, Lessar, and Kakine were possible members.
Could he even risk bringing them in? Ren questioned himself with the same question over and over again. He was tired of how repetitive it was in his head.
As Ren arrived at Touma's dorm, he knocked on the door and was quickly let in. He saw Index watching T.V. and quickly put everything he had bought on the table.
"You brought food!" Index cried out in joy as she noticed Ren's offering. "Touma was too lazy to make anything, so you're a lifesaver!"
"I didn't make anything because I can't afford any groceries right now!" Touma rebuked.
"You spent all the money I gave you on your date with Mikoto?" Ren whispered. "That was supposed to last you like a week or so."
"Well, after we finished eating, we went out to the arcade with her then bought her a gift." Touma paled at Ren's words and explained all of this as if there were loan sharks attacking him.
Ren couldn't understand what in the hell Touma did to waste all that money, but something told him that this was probably the first time he splurged in his life.
"Ok, first, I'll teach you how to finance better. Second, let's just talk to Index." Ren said with an overly sarcastic tone with his former statement.
Touma sighed and shook his head. It seemed that his misfortune overpowered the spirituality of Persona power. Then again, he had already known this, so why did he even bother thinking about it?
As Index ran to the table to devour the food that was just brought, Ren and Touma both took a seat and stared at the small nun as she made herself comfortable.
"I assume you guys want to ask me what happened right?' Index said, in a suddenly serious voice.
"I know it might be hard to talk about, but we really need to know what happened," Touma said.
"They kept me in a coma most of the time, but before they could do that, all they talked about was trying to use the Grimoires to open…"
Index looked hard in thought as she tried to remember what FORMULA said.
"I'm sorry, but I just can't remember." Index said hesitantly.
Ren winced at her words. He had a feeling that would be the case, but having zero information really did irk him.
"That's fine," Ren reassured. "But what about Akechi? Was he there when you first got there?"
"He was, but he didn't look like he didn't want to be there. Touma said he was your friend from your world right?"
"Friend is a bit of a stretch, but yes, he is from my world."
"But didn't you also mention that he passed away?" Index questioned again.
"Yeah, but I guess he just doesn't know how to stay dead." Ren chuckled in the middle of his sentence.
Index gave a small smile at his light joke. Inside though, Index felt like she was a burden to them. Ren could feel it, but he knew bringing it up would only make her feel worse. Ren wanted to make her feel better, but with impending doom on his mind, he knew that none of them would truly be able to relax.
"Anyway, I'm really sorry that I don't have any more information to share. I really wish I could help more."
"It's fine," Touma added. "What's more important is that we are all back here safe and sound. We'll do our best to keep it that way."
Touma gave Index a hardy smile and put his hand on her back. Ren knew that Touma still felt guilty for everything that happened and nothing hurt him more than feeling completely helpless. Ren would be lying to himself if he said he didn't feel the same. They left Index alone because they didn't think she would be in danger, even after fighting FORMULA for the past couple of months. They got complacent.
How stupid could he have been?
Ren gave a light smile and stood up from his seat and began to head toward the door.
"Well, I'll be off then. There's something that I need to do and I don't want to keep this person waiting any longer."
"Dang, wish you could've stayed longer," Touma replied. "Stay safe alright?"
Ren gave a reaffirming nod.
"Both of you take care, I'll see you both soon."
As Ren stepped out of the door, he pulled his phone at and found himself staring at the Metaverse app. He didn't know how much time had passed, but he felt that he was staring at it for an awfully long amount of time. It just unsettled him knowing that there was something more than what he knew. He then went to the messaging app and clicked on Akechi's name.
[Goro Akechi]
You: Where are you right now?
GA: The convenience store, you finally ready to talk?
You: Yeah, just meet me at the restaurant closest to the dorm. The sooner the better.
GA: Ok, I'm on my way now. Be there shortly.
Ren pocketed his phone and closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
"The coffee here is practically dirt water compared to Sakura's," Akechi said, placing his mug of coffee back on its plate. "And the atmosphere is dreadful, but what can I expect from a city infested with lab rats."
Akechi relaxed his body and laid back in his seat.
"So what exactly are you doing here," Akechi said.
"It's because of your favorite thing," Ren responded. "Societal control of everyone's mind transferred from our world to this one."
Akechi's eyebrows furrowed and he was biting his lip.
"That son of a bitch Maruki is here?"
"No, not Maruki, but the… thing that gave him the cognitive manipulation ability."
"There's always bigger fish," Akechi said with a huff of annoyance. "And exactly what information do you have? Do you have even a clue about who it could be?"
Ren shook his head.
"No clue, I've been chasing down FORMULA in hopes of getting some answers."
"Those idiots? Just because they wanted to open the Metaverse?" Akechi said with extreme sass.
"Yes, but someone must have given them information regarding that and Shadows," Ren said. "There is absolutely zero way of knowing about it without some influence from our world. Persona users don't exist here."
"I see…" Akechi said with his hand on his chin. "And if we find the leader-"
"Then we find out who's really behind all of this," Ren said, finishing Akechi's thought.
"You said that FORMULA operates on a near-global scale right?" Akechi continued. "Why don't we start off with every possible sighting in Academy City? If this city is as advanced as they say it is, this should more than likely house the headquarters of those idiots."
Ren shook his head again.
"Scouting the city would take too long and we don't have that kind of time," Ren responded. "I can… feel the Ruin growing stronger with each coming day."
"What do you mean you can feel it?" Akechi questioned. "Is this another one of the Wild Card's abilities?"
"Something like that," Ren answered. "But it's so strange. It feels… almost guilty? Like it doesn't know what to do."
"I honestly don't care whatever the fuck it wants," Akechi said in a deep tone. "We are putting it down for good. I just need you to be ready for when the time comes. I'm sure I don't need to remind you of what happened last time?"
Was the reason why Ruin transferred here because Ren and the rest of the Thieves refused to kill MarukI or kill in general? Ruin was a concept, something that was formed out of society's will, so there's no way that could be the reason.
Right?
"You don't," Ren replied.
"Good," Akechi said with a smug look. Ren felt that Akechi took that as a mental victory. "Do you have anyone that has access to information about the city? Someone who can access cameras or files to people in the city?"
Ren thought for a moment, he didn't know anyone with that type of information, let alone where to go for it. The Data Bank?
After some thought, Ren pulled out his phone. It was a shot in the dark, considering he hadn't spoken to them since the Daihasei, but he was praying they would show him enough kindness. She was flustered when he mentioned that one thing though, maybe she really was one.
As the phone rang, Ren's leg began to bounce. He needed to start somewhere.
"Hello?" a young girl's voice could be heard protruding from the speaker.
"Yes, Uiharu?" Ren answered instantly. "This is Amamiya, I'm really sorry to call you so suddenly, but I was hoping you could do me a huge favor."
Feel free to leave a review, comments, suggestions, or any ideas you guys have. Don't hesitate to tell me off if you don't like something.
I will do my best to update as much as I can. Please bear with me if I take the time to upload a new chapter.
Thank you very much to HelixPenn and Healthcare, they make life so much easier.
HelixPenn: It's good to see Wishez back in action. I feel his writing keeps improving and I hope other people are also enjoying the story.
