Chapter 657: 06:00
Sunday, May 12th, Morning
(Shay O'Brien's Apartment)
The sun peaked weakly through the curtains as the alarm clock went off. An arm reached out from under the covers and shut down the alarm. Her covers were thrown off, and she sat up and ran her hands through her hair. Dr. Cassidy Shayla "Shay" O'Brien shook her head and stood up.
Getting up, she collected her stuff and looked it over. Shay stripped out of the clothes she slept in. She looked into the mirror that was over her dresser. Shay's eyes were bloodshot; she had celebrated a little too much last night with her family. It was not the first high school basketball championship that Shay celebrated. It was the first time it was a family member; her niece Flannery was on the team. What was even sweeter was Flannery played significant time in the game.
Shay sighed and pulled on her sports bra. After setting herself in the bra, she smoothed her hands down her sides. Shay pulled on her running leggings and ensured everything was set. Pulling on some ankle socks and putting on her running shoes. Shay pulled her hair back and secured her ponytail with a hair tie. Next, she strapped on her armband to hold her smartphone and grabbed her Bluetooth earbuds and sunglasses.
Leaving her room, she could see her roommate was still in bed. Shay took a deep breath and headed down to the sidewalk. The sun is now higher in the sky, and she donned her sunglasses. Shay stretched out and started her morning jog; she felt she'd take the long route today.

The alarm shook her out of the sleep she enjoyed. Rolling over, she grabbed her smartphone and silenced the alarm. Fallon rolled onto her back and looked at Grant, still sleeping away.
Fallon rolled herself into a sitting position on the side of the bed. She felt Grant begin to stir. Fallon looked over her shoulder.
"Go back to sleep; I'm just going to services," Fallon said.
Grant grunted, and Fallon reached over and patted her hand. He murmured a bit, shifted, and seemed to go back to sleep. Fallon got up and stretched out her body.
She sighed and went to her closet and got her Church Clothes out. While she went to the high church in New York, she attended Baptist services down here. To Fallon, it wasn't the dogma but the spiritual fuel that helped get her through the day.
Fallon collected her stuff and headed into her shared bathroom. Stripping out of her pajamas, she started to run the shower. As the warm water hit her body, she felt her body wake up and loosen up. Once she finished showering, she stepped into that bathroom properly and started to dry herself off.
Once dry, Fallon got dressed in her clothes. While her outfit seemed conservative and would fit in with the local churchgoers, she didn't bring conservative underwear. She didn't care; she wouldn't show it off to anyone but Grant.
Fallon smiled at herself as she brushed her hair. Upon compilation of her hair, she applied light and tasteful makeup. Fallon cleaned up her stuff and returned to her bedroom. Putting away her stuff, she kissed Grant and grabbed her wallet and keys. It took a few minutes, but she got into her G-Wagen in the East Range parking lot.
Fallon noticed Sawyer in the gardens. Fallon shrugged, got into the G-Wagen, and headed off to church.
(Beaulieu Manor)
She slipped out of Keni's bed as quietly and gently as possible. Sawyer always found comfort in sleeping with Keni over the last few years, but she felt like she was doing the walk of shame as she headed back to her room in the morning. Sleeping in Keni's bed was like a security blanket.
Once in her room, Sawyer put Jon-Jon on her pillows and fumbled through her clothes. Finally, she went into her shared bathroom and showered. Since most of the bathrooms in the East Range were shared, the rule was clean up after yourself.
Sawyer dried herself, pulled her curly blonde hair into a messy ponytail, and dressed casually. She looked at herself in the mirror and liked how she looked in the jeans, flannel, and a well-loved band t-shirt she had gotten from Keith. With a nod, she slipped on her Doc Martens and watched cap.
Leaving her bedroom, Sawyer grabbed her coat and smartphone. As she walked out to the garden, she checked her updates and knew she would be streaming in a few hours. Sawyer figured the gardens would be an excellent place to update her socials and get fresh air.
Slipping in her coat, Sawyer headed out towards the Privy Gardens. Kier didn't message her yet; should she message him first? Sawyer shook her head as she headed into the gardens. Something made her stop. Sawyer looked at some bushes and plants. There were marks on the soft wet grass that looked like they were from bike tires. Sawyer looked up the walls of Beaulieu to her bedroom windows.
"Gar," Sawyer said; before she could do anything else, her smartphone dinged.
Kier: GM Babe!
(Tree Hill Hospital)
She strode into the hospital with her ID hanging around her neck. She looked around and found a receptionist behind the desk.
"Doctor Reutter, we didn't expect you in today," the receptionist said.
"I didn't expect to be here either; where is Doctor Kelso?" Meggy asked.
"He's in the ED," the receptionist said.
"Thank you," Meggy said and headed to the Emergency Department. After quickly stopping at the desk, Meggy found a room and knocked on the door.
"Who is it?" Doctor Kelso asked.
"Doctor Reutter," Meggy said.
Meggy opened the door and stepped in, making sure the door was closed behind her. She looked at Doctor Kelso.
"You wanted to see me?" Meggy asked.
"Yes, I looked over the case you sent me with Doctor Perry's notes," Doctor Kelso said.
"And?" Meggy asked.
"Both of your suspicions were correct; it was a boxer fracture," Doctor Kelso said.
"You couldn't tell me this over the phone?" Meggy asked.
"I looked up because I suspected assault, but there was only one person that came in around the same time of injuries, there was only one possible assault case," Doctor Kelso said.
"Okay," Meggy said.
"A Taylor Harlow, a sixteen-year-old, reported a fall but was noted as suspicious," Doctor Kelso said.
Meggy nodded, "Thanks, can I use your phone?" she asked.
"Yes," Doctor Kelso said.
"Thanks," Meggy said as she reached for the phone.
