A couple of guys walked over to Garvan and talked to him. Garvan nodded and followed them to the door. Felicia was right behind Garvan. Outside in the harsh moonlight, Garvan looked at Felicia.
Felicia pulled out her smartphone and started to fiddle with it. Garvan began to walk towards his car. After about ten to twenty steps, Garvan stopped and turned to look at Felicia.
"Are you coming?" Garvan asked.
Felicia shook her head, "No," she said, "Not tonight or ever with you."
"What? How are you getting out of here?" Garvan asked.
"I'm getting an UBER," Felicia said.
"You came with me," Garvan said.
"No, and you're leaving alone," Felicia said.
"Huh?" Garvan asked.
"I might be many things, Garvan, but I ain't no fool. Tonight, you, Garvan, made me a fool," Felicia said.
"But," Garvan said.
"Garvan, I said if we were going to do this, I had conditions, and you broke them," Felicia said.
"But…" Garvan said.
"No, buts and my UBER is almost here," Felicia said.
"Felicia!" Garvan said as an SUV pulled up. Felicia talked with the driver and climbed into the back seat. The SUV pulled off, leaving Garvan standing by his car alone.

Once Keni was sure that LK had finished talking on the porcelain telephone, Keni helped her to her feet. LK leaned against Keni as she helped her out of the powder room.
They slowly moved down the hallway and through the kitchen. Keni stopped and checked on LK before moving out again. Keni kept LK moving across the main room and out the front door.
"What's wrong with me?" LK asked.
"You're drunk," Keni said, leading Keni towards their waiting car.
"How did I get drunk? I only drank water," LK said.
"It was the Jell-o," Keni said.
"The Jell-o? I never got eating Jell-o," LK said.
"Those were special Jell-o, made with vodka," Keni said.
"Oh, how do you know?" LK asked.
"I just do," Keni said as they met Mina by the car. Mina took LK from Keni and looked over at the blonde girl.
"Are you feeling okay, LK?" Mina asked.
"Dizzy, weak," LK said.
"Okay, let's get you into the car and keep you drinking water," Mina said.
"All right," LK said.
Mina looked at Keni. "Where are you off to, Keni?" Mina asked.
"I'm going to get Sawyer," Keni said.
Mina nodded, "Okay, I'll look after LK," she said.
"Okay," Keni said and returned to the beach house.

Sawyer lay on the bed and watched as Keir got dressed. She couldn't believe what had happened, she wanted it and gave herself to him. It was all that she expected, but at the same time, it wasn't.
"How are you feeling?" Sawyer asked.
"Fine," Keir said.
"Why are you so far away? Come here and cuddle with me," Sawyer said.
"Got to go; my ride is leaving soon," Keir said.
"Why are you in such a rush?" Sawyer asked.
"My ride," Kier said.
"Well, text me," Sawyer said.
"Maybe," Keir said, finished getting dressed, and headed towards the door.
"Why are you rushing off?" Sawyer asked.
Keir shook his head. "Look, Sawyer, just because we did it doesn't mean we're getting married," he said.
"I didn't say that," Sawyer said, "Or implied it."
"I got to go," Keir said and left.
Sawyer sat on the bed and held the covers to her chest. Sawyer stared at the door and felt her lower lip start to tremble.
The door opened, and Keni walked through, closing the door behind her. Keni looked at Sawyer and tilted her head. Sawyer started to cry.
Keni walked over and hugged Sawyer. "It's okay, Sawyer, let it out," Keni said.
Sawyer cried on Keni's shoulder for a while. Finally, Keni pushed away, and she looked Sawyer in the eyes.
"Come on, let's get you dressed and home," Keni said.
Sawyer nodded, "Okay," she said and dressed with Keni's help. The two lifelong friends headed out to the car and Mina. Sawyer was silent the whole way, looking downcast.

In the main room, Baylee, Alexis, Shep, and Parker stood in the corner. They were finishing their drinks as the song on the stereo had been changed to more sedate music. Shep finished his drink and put it on the table.
"So, are you coming home with us?" Shep asked.
Parker shook their head, "No, I think I'm going to stay here tonight," they said.
"You're lucky, Bay," Alexis said.
"I know, I am," Baylee said, kissing Parker's cheek.
"I have my stuff for school tomorrow; I'll see you there tomorrow," Parker said.
"Okay, you lucky dog, I don't even get to do what you get to do," Shep said.
"Duh! Moms not worried about me spending a night with Baylee," Parker said.
"I get it," Shep said.
Parker nodded and leaned forward, hugging their twin brother. They separated and looked each other over. "Thanks for understanding," Parker said.
"You're welcome," Shep said, turning to Alexis, "It's time to go."
"I'll see you in school," Alexis said.
Shep and Alexis turned and walked away. Baylee looped her arm into Parker's. Baylee leaned against Parker.
"Are you ready for bed?" Baylee asked.
Parker nodded, "Yes," they said.
Baylee kissed Parker's cheek, "Follow me," she said.
"Lead the way home," Parker said.
Baylee and Parker walked up the stairs to the second floor. They went to one of the smaller bedrooms Baylee chose.

After the last guest left, Brett locked the door behind them. They were also turning away from the door and turning off the porch light. Looking over the main room and kitchen, the place wasn't trashed but needed to be cleaned up before they returned the keys to Nana Deb.
"We did it, well, yeah, we did it," Brett said.
"Yeah, it was a good time," Avril said.
"Yes, it was," Brett said and nodded.
"Are you okay?" Avril asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine," Brett said.
"How does it feel?" Avril asked.
"Cathodic," Brett said.
"Good," Avril said.
"We have to clean up," Brett said.
Avril put a hand on Brett's shoulder. "We'll clean it up after school tomorrow," she said.
"I have to work tomorrow," Brett said.
"Normal time?" Avril asked.
"Yes," Brett said.
"We'll run over here right after school and clean it up," Avril said.
"Are you sure?" Brett asked.
"Yeah," Avril said.
Brett yawned, "Good, then let's do it," she said.
"I can't agree more," Avril said.
Brett smiled, and the two friends headed upstairs. Brett shut off the lights as she went.
