Neb: Ricky had left the X Men to find himself. He is an adult who graduated from Highschool trying to find himself. Due to being a mutant, and his past history of missing classes and being in prison there aren't any colleges lined up for him either. He's tried working as a full time Server. However, that wasn't going to make him enough money to pay rent. That's when Nick Fury came in and offered him a chance for a better living. All he'd have to do is join Shield and take care of this Mutant girl called Reptiless. Ricky had agreed to take care of the girl. However, he is skeptical about joining shield. Either way, he was given a mission that would pay him enough money for two month's worth of rent. Reluctantly, Ricky will take up this mission. He is on his way with Reptiless to spy on a mutant named Seer. Seer is a scary mutant, not just because he can see the future, but because he foresees Ricky taking over the Brotherhood after the fall of Apocalypse. I do not own X Men Evolution.
"Are you sure you don't want to join the X Men instead?", Ricky questioned his new companion as they headed down the streets of New York City. They were on their way to Dragon's Mansion in hopes of getting a lead on where to find Seer.
"Quick to pawn me off already?", Reptiless shot back. She seemed hotheaded. Kind of like X 23, but with more bark and less bite. At least that's what Ricky thought.
"I'm not pawning you off," Ricky insisted. Keeping his warm smile going. He hoped smiling would be enough to defuse her, but like most people he comes across it didn't.
"If the X Men are so great? Why aren't you with them?"
"I was," Ricky shrugged. "For a while. They completely had my best interests... I just didn't feel it was right to build an identity around them."
"So why didn't you go back to the Brotherhood?", Reptiless wondered.
"They're worse," Ricky laughed. "Don't get me wrong. They can be fun to hang around to. At least until one of their bosses come knocking on the door. Then it's all about fighting X Men, fighting humans, fight Mystique, fighting Magneto. It's just so dumb. Even when the bosses aren't around, it's about making money to survive. Usually through stealing. I just can't handle their drama anymore."
"So why leave the X Men if it's so clear who the badguys were?", Reptiless pressed.
"Would you believe me if I said I just wanted to see if their is an option c?", Ricky chuckled and she frowned at him.
"So they are no good also?", Reptiless questioned.
"No they're great," Ricky admitted. "Well, a few of them can be a handful. But they all mean well. It's not about good or bad. It's about finding me."
"So then why should I join them?", Reptiless growled.
"I'm not telling you to," Ricky waved it away. "I'm just throwing it out as a suggestion. If you ever find yourself in a position where you absolutely need help. They are there as an option."
Reptiless said nothing and kept walking. "Are we getting close?"
"Yeah," Ricky spoke up. "Dragon's Mansion is right around the corner."
As they approached the mansion, they noticed some familiar faces hanging around. Lady Vampress and Deadpool were hanging out in the front porch. Deadpool had changed his outfit from the biker look with the red helmet to an all read suit with a red mask. He carried two katanas on his back. Lady Vampress was wearing a black jacket over a red tank top and torn up blue jean shorts. It seemed that Deadpool was holding the conversation while she was trying to ignore him.
"Ah come on baby," Deadpool spoke up. "Don't be cold. Let me get your number."
"I will bite your throat and rip it out with my teeth if you don't shut up Wade," Lady Vampress growled.
"That's it," Deadpool grinned through his mask. "Talk dirty to me."
Her claws extended as she got ready to attack, but then she sniffed the air. "Ricky White. Seer has been expecting you."
"Of course he has," Vibrant sighed.
"And who might your little friend be?", Lady Vampress questioned as she turned her head to Reptiless. "It's not X 23."
"This is Reptiless," Vibrant explained. "She's a mutant in need of shelter."
"Yeah I don't know how many more mutants can come in before Dragon says enough is enough," Deadpool laughed. "Seer and I were his only guests. Then Lady Vampress came, and then this big guy in Armour showed up. Then Domino showed up. Then Seer adopted this one little girl called Ghost."
"I remember seeing her," Ricky pointed out. "She and Seer confronted me in the sewers when I was trying to find my friend Evan. I saw Lady Vampress that day also."
"Yes," Lady Vampress nodded. "It's hard to pretend that the strings of fate isn't pulling our group together. Seer's prophecy is true."
"Except I don't plan on being your leader," Ricky spoke up. "I've come to tell Seer that myself." Ricky walked passed them and Reptiless followed behind him.
"Hey you," a man yelled as Ricky entered the mansion. "I got a score to settle with you pipsqueak!"
"Juggernaut!", Ricky responded with fear in his eyes.
"You and your X Men friends sent me flying into a river," the hulking man growled.
"You were going to kill a bunch of people," Ricky responded. "We weren't going to sit back and let that happen."
"Calm yourself Juggernaut," Seer spoke up as Ghost, Dragon, and he entered the room. "Vibrant is a guest in this house."
"A guest in my house," Dragon corrected him. "Welcome back Mr. White."
"Mr. Ito," Ricky replied with a nod. "This is my companion Reptiless. She seek refuge in these dark times against mutants."
"Well I can't turn down a mutant in need," Dragon admitted. "Especially not one so young. Ghost, show Ms. Reptiless to the guestroom."
Ghost nodded and then waved for Reptiless to follow. Reptiless looked to Ricky and Ricky nodded back at her. She then went away with Ghost.
"So Vibrant," Seer spoke up. "It appears you've come to spy on us."
