"Emboar lets do this" Ash shouted, letting the fire type starter out. "BOAR" Emboar cried, practically shouting with enthusiasm. It grinned, then, looking down, stared at it's opponent. "Very well. Battle begin!" shouted the judge. "Alright Emboar. Let's start this off with power up punch!" Emboar charged forward, moving deceptively fast. It thrust it's glowing fist forward, and… missed. Sudowoodo had dodged just in the nick of time, sidestepping Emboar. "Sudowoodo, use earthquake!" Brock cried. Ash shouted "Emboar, scale the boulder to your right and then use arm press!". As the ground shook, the fire pig pokemon launched himself in the air. He still took some damage, but it was minimized to due minimum exposure. Ash grinned, shouting "Now get close and use hammer arm!" Emboar turned mid air, throwing itself to withing a foot or so of the rock type. SLAM! He struck fast and hard, slamming Sudowoodo to the ground and stunning it. "Sudowoodo, use earth power" Brock declared. "I don't think so! Emboar, yawn!" Ash commanded. Emboar opened it's mouth wide and loosed a yawn directly into Sudowoodo's face. As Emboar stepped back, anyone who looked could see that it had been a direct hit. Sudowoodo struggled to get up, wobbling unsteadily on legs that seemed to be made of lead. "Good job Emboar. Now finish it with heavy slam!" Emboar jumped, vaulting off the same boulder as before and spinning with high velocity before slamming into the groggy rock type. As the dust cleared Brock and Ash saw that Sudowoodo was down, knocked out completely.

"Sudowoodo is unable to battle! And so the victor is Emboar!" the judged cried. Brock called Sudowoodo back, saying "Good job out there pall. Get some rest." he turned to Ash, saying "That was impressive. Your Emboar controlled the battle from start to finish, using it's weight to push around my pokemon. But can you do that with my next partner? Standby for battle, Rhyperior!" The entire arena shook as the heavy horned pokemon appeared. It stood well over seven feet tall, and it was nowhere near light. As a matter of fact, it was so heavy that when it shifted and let out a battle cry, the entire room rumbled. Ash thought for a moment, then, his mind made up, returned Emboar. "Let's do this, Serperior!" he shouted, summoning the regal pokemon. There was a flash as Serperior, always one for a dramatic entrance, Uncoild herself before raising to stand nearly as tall as her opponent. She let loose a diminutive, lazy cry before setting her half lidded eyes on Rhyperior.

"Let's not waste any time. Rhyperior, use horn drill!" Brock instructed. Rhyperior is a dual rock and ground type, which means that Serperior's grass moves are four times effective. Even with all his bulk, Rhyperior can't afford to take too many hits. Let's get in close and use megahorn. "Not so fast! Serperior, dodge to the die and use leaf blade!" Ash called. Rhyperior barreled straight past as Serperior leapt aside, striking Rhyperior's exposed back with a glowing green tail. "Rhyperior, fire punch!" Rhyperior turned, it's right arm bursting into flame, before barring down at Serperior. "Now Serperior, glare!" Ash shouted. "What?" Brock exclaimed. "NO!" But it was too late. Serperior glared at Rhyperior in such a threatening way that it froze, paralized. "Serperior, seed bomb!" Serperior unleashed a barrage of glowing, fist sized seeds, striking Rhyperior at point blank range. Rhyperior, struggling to move, bore down on Serperior, using fire punch one more time. It connected, sending the sneaky pokemon flying towards Ash. "Serperior, can you continue?" The trainer asked. Serperior merely glanced in his direction before nodding in confirmation. "Alright then. Use attract!" Ash directed. Serperior shot her opponent an alluring gaze, and hearts appeared, flying out from around her and striking Rhyperior right in the face. For the second time in a row, Rhyperior froze, and soon his eyes were replaced by hearts. "Rhyrhyrhy!" it cried, before falling on it's butt, violently shaking the room. It stayed there, staring longingly at the smug pokemon that was supposed to be it's opponent, even as Brock tried to snap it out of it. Ash grinned. Like trainer, like pokemon. Lets finish this.

"Serperior, end it with energy ball." Ash called. Serperior nodded, before loosing a ball of pure, green energy straight for Rhyperior. To his credit, Rhyperior seemed to realize the danger and tried to get up to move out the way, but as it did so sparks appeared in the air around it and it froze again. Then it was all over. Rhyperior fell over with a boom, and the judge announced "Rhyperior is unable to battle. The winner is Serperior!"

"Come back, Rhyperior. You rocked out there." Brock called before returning the large rock type to it's pokeball. The way they battled was thrilling and dynamic. It almost reminds me of Ash. Let's see how he deals with my next two. "Come on out, Ludicolo!" he called, loosing a rotund yellow, green and light blue pokemon that hat a lillypad sombrero. "Ludiludicolo!" it cried, hoping from one foot to another in what appeared to be a dance. So Brock is going with Ludicolo, huh? I could keep Serperior out there, but I've got a better idea. Ash thought to himself. "Serperior, return. You're up, Leavanny." The bug pokemon appeared before him, covered as usual in a layer of leaves. It cried it's name, before turning to face it's opponent.

A grass type won't be very effective against Ludicolo, but a bug will. Not only that, but as a bug and grass type, his Leavanny will resist nearly ever stab move that Ludicolo possesses. Not a bad choice. Thought Brock. "Alright Ludicolo, use rain dance." Ludicolo obeyed, hopping from one foot to the other as clouds gathered above the court. Soon, water droplets began raining down on the battle. "Leavanny, keep your guard up! They're definitely up to something." Ash called. Leavanny merely nodded in response, keeping it's eyes on Ludicolo. "Leavanny, get in close and use x scissor!" Ash directed. Leavanny dashed forward, intent on striking Ludicolo in the abdomen. "Dodge to the side and use energy ball." Countered Brock. Ludicolo merely hopped to the left at the very last moment, and Leavanny barreled past. It skidded, turning on a dime before being blasted with a green orb of pure energy. "Vannny" it groaned as it rose to it's feet. "Use leaf storm!" Ash cried. Soon all Ludicolo could see was leaves flying about. "Now, double team!" Leavanny dashed forward, multiplying before Ludicolo's very eyes. "Find the right one with bubble beam!" Brock called. Ludicolo drew it's head back, unleashing a torrent of bubbles, before something slammed into it. It looked down and, to it's confusion, found lines of sticky, silk- like substance clinging to it's arms and legs. "Good thinking Leavanny! Finish it with aerial ace!" Ash called out excitedly. Sure, double team had failed, but Leavanny's quick thinking had made up for it "Don't let it get close, Ludicolo! Hit it with ice beam!" Brock instructed frantically. "No you don't. Stop it with leaf storm and then use x scissor one more time!" Ash shouted. Both pokemon leapt into action. Ludicolo opened it's mouth and let forth a beam of solid ice, almost like a pillar of pure cold. Leavanny countered with a tornado of leaves, the outer number of which froze on impact. Then the cocoon- like sculpture of leaves and ice shattered, and the bug pokemon leapt out and slashed it's opponent square in the chest with both leaf shaped arms, landing graceful behind him. For a second neither moved, and then, as if no longer able to stand on it's own two legs, Ludicolo slumped forward, held up only by the silk.

"Ludicolo is unable to battle. The victory goes to Leavanny!"
