Chapter 4: The theif meets the imp in the tower
Back in the forest Jessie, Baby doll and Deerie ran as fast as they could since the guards were on there tails as they stopped near a tree with wanted signs of them so they can catch there breath. It was there as Jessie gasped "Ah oh no!" She said with a dramatic gasp as the two sinners looked at the imp confused as she showed her wanted poster…her face looked ridiculous "They just cant get the face right" she said "Who cares" said Baby Doll annoyed as the imp crossed her arms "Well its easy for you to say *Points to the poster of her and Deerie* you two look amazing" said Jessie
Suddenly the three heard the distant sound of neighing as the guards appeared at the top of a cliff with the captain of the guard Alfondso with a shinny Galarian rapidash named Celeste as the three fled before they came to a dead end "Alright, give me a boost and I'll pull you both up" she said "Give us the sachel first" said Deerie as Jessie pouted shocked "I just cant believe that, after all we've been through together you dont trust me ouch" she said dramatically as she gave the sachel to the two as moments later she began climbing to the top of the cliff "Now help us up" said Baby doll as Jessie…well she just smirked "Uh sorry huns *Shows the sachel* my hands are full" she said confusing the two as Deerie saw that the sache was gone and her wings were glued as she got pissed "JESSSIE!" She barked as the imp ran as fast as she can before she saw Alfondso and the guards who got out there guns and Celeste coming after them "Retrieve the sachel at any cost" barked the taller loan shark demon "Yes sir" the guards said as Celeste quickly neighed some orders to the other horses besides her as they neighed in reply ready to charge as Alfondso and his men shot at Jessie but she ducked dodging the arrows which hit a log that was in there way as they continued to pursue Jessie who continued to dodge the arrows as she dodged with expert ease until she jumped over a tree with many tangled branches.
The other guards were blocked by the branches but Alfondso and Celeste jumped the tree to continue the pursuit "We got her now Celeste" he said gently to Celeste who neighed as she continued to chase Jessie who in response she grabbed a vine from a nearby tree swung around and knocked Al off his mount taking his place "Oh yeah!" She said to Celeste but she stopped diligent and caught Jessie by surprise before she glared at Jessie as she groaned "Come on you glowing glow stick forward! March! Go!" She said however Celeste caught sight of her sachel and tried to snatch it from him
"No, no no" she yelled but Celeste continued trying to snatch the sachel from her running around in circles "Stop it stop it stop it you naughty thing! Give me that give me that!" She barked as a game of tug of war ensued until the sachel flew out of Celestes mouth and landed on a branch hanging on a cliff as the two looked at each other…before the imp and fairy type raced towards the branch as they used nasty tricks to get the one hand over the other like tripping or grabbing each others legs with there tails. Once Celeste was on the branch she began to carefully creep across with light footsteps but ever a cowgirl Jessie grabbed her head trying to stop her, but Celeste shook her off making Jessie fall and cling onto a branch as she stuck her head out as she looked at Celeste who imeditly started to stomp on her hands as she crawled to the sachel determined which was sliding off the branch but with expertise she swung to the branch and grabbed it in time.
"HAHA! She said triumphal s she smugly showed Celeste the sachel as the fairy horse glared at her angery…until the two heard the branch crack. The two eyes widened before the branch broke as Jessie grabbed onto the branch as it fell and Cleste neighed in alarm as it fell as the two glanced at each other and down to the grown as they screamed as it fell to a rock as it broke into two as the two fell into diffrent parts of the woods…
Celeste landed softly on the ground but got up flipping her mane out of her face as she started sniffing out Jessie as if she was a dog with practice are as she passed a rock as Jessie emerged behind from it before backing away as she almost fell through a curtain of leaves and discovered a secret passage. Hearing Celeste faraway neigh, she quickly hid in the cave as Celeste stopped in front of the cave entrance…but passed it as Jessie made her way through the cave entrance before she emerged out into a clearing and saw something that astonished her. It was a tall almost radio like tower within a abandoned town with a waterfall and growing trees and flowers all over. Hearing Celestes neigh she quickly ran over to the tower and climbed up it thankful there were tangled vines on it as she got to the top and snuck in as she closed the windows.
Letting out a sigh of relief she opened the sachel revealing the necklace "Alone at last"…but then got whacked on the head as she had a silly grin on her face, before she fell to the floor revealing a scared and frightened Moxxie behind her holding a frying pan.
She then squeaked in horror as she zipped behind a maniquine before he poked his head out with Cherry and Angel joining as the little imp saw the unconcus Jessie lying face down "Is she dead?" Asked Cherry as Angel gently nudged Moxxie to get closer "Mox get closer so we can check with her" said Angel as Moxxie cautiously wheeled the mannequin closer and nudged her with the frying pan…there was no response as he looked at his sibling figures wondering what they should do "Sounds like she is breathing so she is not dead" said Angel as Moxxie used his frying pan to gently move Jessies face to the side with it "Huh?" He wondered as looking at her horns and skin it was a imp like him but a girl as he used the pan to gently poke and prod her seeing a tail "She dosent look like a thug…*blushes at how cute she looked* um does it feel weird that I have a odd feeling in my chest seeing her?" Asked Moxxie as Angel smiled in knowing "No Mox that is not odd" he said as Jessie slowly opened one of her eyes…and got whacked by Moxxie with a yelp "Was that necessary?" Asked Cherry "Cant be to careful.
The trio then dragged Jessie into a closet and barred it with a chair as it came to realize what he did as Moxxie panicked "Okay, Okay, Okay, I've got a person in my closet (Angel: And not in a sexual way) Angel! *Realizes something and smiled* I've got a person in my closet *Goes to a mirror and smirks* I got a person in my closet *Holds his frying pan* Hah too weak to handle myself out there papa? Well tell that to my frying pan" he said as he swung it a bit but got hit in the head as he rubbed it in surprises as Jessies sachel caught his eyes "What's that?" He asked as Cherry came to it and pulled out the stolen Necklace Jessie got earlier "Well this looks nice" said Cherry as she looked at Angel and the two looked at Moxxie who was curious as Cherry placed it around his danty neck "Aww Mox look at you so cute with a piece of jewlery" he said as Moxxie giggled a bit as he looked at himself with the necklace in the mirror but paused…as he started to look close at the necklace as he gently touched it he didnt know why but it was familiar to him.
Valatinos voice: Moxxie!
That made Moxxie gasp as he gestured to Cherry and Angel to hide as he took off the necklace and his the neckalce and the sachel into a pot
Valatinos voice: Let down your hair!
Moxxie opened the window as Cherry and Angel quickly shrank down and hid "One moment papa" he yelled down tossing his hair down for him to climb up "I have a big surprise!" Said Valatino climbing up "Uh I do too" said Moxxie as he pulled Valatino up "oooh I bet my surprise is bigger" said Valatino "*Whispers* I seriously doubt it" he muttered as he pulled Valatino into the tower "I brought back parsnips *Shows the root* I'm gonna make hazelnut soup for dinner your favorite surprise!" He said as Moxxie gave a weak smile a bit "Well papa, there's something I want to tell you" he started but was interutpted "Oh Moxxie you know I hate laeaving you after a fight, especially when I've done absolutely nothing wrong" he said as Moxxie recalled he was the one who didnt want to let him see the lights but he had gained courage after facing the theif "Okay, but I've been thinking a lot about what you said earlier…" he started as Valatino got frustrated "I hope you're still not talking about the stars" he said with a hint of annoyance "Floating lights…and yes, I'm leading up to that and…" he started as Valatino put on a fake smiled "Because I really thought we dropped the issue sweetie" Valatino continued but Moxxie waved his hands "No papa, I'm just saying you think I'm not strong enough to handle myself out there" he said as Valatino sighed exasparated "I know your not strong" he said "But if you just…" Moxxie begin but the moth sinner just crossed his arms.
"Moxxie we are dont talking about this" he interjected "Trust me…" started Moxxie "Moxxie…" started Valatino as Moxxie approached to move the chair blocking the closet aside "Please papa…" he started but Valatino had enough "ENOUGH WITH THE LIGHTS MOXXIE! YOU ARE NOT LEAVING THIS TOWER EVER!" He barked as at that Moxxie was shocked as he moved his hand away from the chair changing his mind to show the theif as it was a bad idea "Great *Sits in a chair* now I'm the bad guy" he said dramatically as Moxxie wondered to himself what to do…but got an idea as he glanced at his picture of the floating lights and then spoke up "All I was gonna say…is that I know what I want for my birthday now" he said as "And what was that?" He asked without looking up "New paint, the paint made from the white shells you once brought me" he said as Valatino looked up "Well that's a long trip…almost three days time" said Valatino "I just thought it was a better idea then the stars" he said
Val sighed and walked over to his son as he asked gently "You're sure you will be alright on your own?" He asked "I know I will be safe as long as I am here" he said hugging his 'father' as Valatino kissed his forehead. Much later Valatino was leaving the tower as the previous conversation ran through Moxxie head "I'll be back in three days time, I love you much dearrie" he said "I love you more papa" said Moxxie "I love you most" said Valatino as he went to the cave exit as he stopped and waved at Moxxie and then left. Once Moxxie was sure Valatino was gone, he dashed back into the tower as Cherry and Angel approached him "That was really impressive Mox" said Angel dust "Yeah you got him to go away for three days" said Cherry "Which should be enough for the theif to help us out" said Moxxie as he removed the chair and then took a breath "Okay…ready guys?" He asked as Angel and Cherry nodded as he used his hair to open the closet.
At first nothing happened…but then Jessie fell out of the closet face first sliding a bit as carefully Moxxie went up to examine her…
Authors note: well that is the first step to courage as Moxxie and Jessie met…almost as next chapter Moxxie interrogates and makes a deal with Jessie James to take him to where the 'stars' are before Valatino can return.
