Note: About the narrative
First of all, I would like to thank all of you who have clicked on this random spot of the internet. If you have read and loved this story (or sort of like it, at least) you are part of the family now. For those of you who care about the authors, I have been writing fiction both in Spanish and English for a long time. Sadly, in the last three years, I didn't have the spurn to keep writing, so I just gave up.
The magic of Evangelion, that special something that enchants the original anime, manga and its adaptations, is that it compels the spectator to engage in the narrative and look inward. That is what made us fall in love with its characters and their flaws. It is what made me write again and love every moment of it.
In this story, I have tried to describe the relationship of some of the characters and flesh out some others that I always found interesting. In addition, I wanted to add my touch. That is why the original characters (the ones that did not appear in Eva, but only in this fanfic) are having a strong presence in the narrative.
Unlike traditional stories, this is not a linear narrative. That is why I feel that, for some of you —the ones that do not like to delve in the lore and analyze dates— it would be best if I shed light on how the framework of this text works.
First arc of the story: Chapters happen in the present, just before Shinji arrives (circa 2015, according to the anime). The interludes, though, are far more complex. You will have to take a look at the dates and piece the narrative together.
As some of you have noticed, I have changed the description of the fanfiction to reflect what is happening in the text. The initial premise was good, but I feel the original characters have claimed a stronger role in the story than what I anticipated. Rei and Gendo will have their spotlight in the second arc, don't fret.

Second arc: In this new arc, generally, chapters will address the past and will focus on Gehirn, their experiments and transition to Nerv (circa 2005/2006).
For the interludes, I venture you will probably still have to look at the dates provided in the text.
The plan is that Gendo and Rei get more spotlight here, as well as, Dr. Birkin and Dr. Richards get their fair share too. There is another character that will have an appearance or two…

Third arc: We will return to the present and finish the main story.
