In the year 2022 Bonnie and Sophia are packing to visit Sophia's home in France:

"I know you have a life outside of training and traveling with me, I just never knew or picked up on you having any kids" Bonnie stated as she was folding her clothes to pack into her suitcase.

"Well, the subject is one I don't feel the need to divulge, I try to keep my lives separate ever since…well… ever since their father, my husband, met the wrong group of vampires. You know how messy things can get when a foe who you thought was a friend knows your weak spots." Sophia ran her hands through her hair remembering the feeling of walking in on her dying husband.

"I'm so sorry…I can definitely relate, unfortunately." Bonnie sighed and gave Sophia a sympathetic smile.

"And I hate that you can. Look, you have been so open and honest with me when you didn't have to be or need to be, it would have been hypocritical of me and even dangerous to keep training with you when you have a minimum amount of knowledge about who I even am, thank you, Bonnie, for trusting me." Sophia walked over towards Bonnie to place a comforting hand on her shoulder.

"Thank you for trusting me, you've taught me so much and have introduced me to so many of your friends and resources, I'm not sure how I could ever re-pay you, you have your secrets and I get why - trust me I do, you never have to apologize for protecting the people you love." Bonnie gave Sophia a warm smile and squeezed Sophia's hand before going back to packing her things.

"Since I will be entering your world, what should I expect?" Bonnie asked curiously.

"Well..my home is a little bit bigger than the places we've been staying at. My kids.." Sophia chuckled to herself.

"My kids are…strong-willed, a couple of centuries old, so they've seen, done, and experienced some things. A lot of loss, a lot of love, a lot of magic. Sabre, she's a fighter, a powerful one. She is extremely skilled in battle, physical and magical. She finds it hard to trust anyone not in her immediate circle, I see a lot of her in you sometimes, which could be a good thing… or a bad thing, specifically for the people not on your good side. And my son, Bastien, he's a lover more than anything, he is fiercely protective over the ones he loves, much like you. He is also the best at remaining calm in the toughest situations. When their father died hundreds of years ago, Sabre had the hardest time, I credit Bastien's temperament and support for helping her through that grief. It's a double edge sword for an empath, we feel everything incredibly deeply, especially when it's our own pain." Sophia stopped packing to look outside the window at their view.

Bonnie kept gathering her things while picturing what her kids may look like and be like when she meets them.

"What do you mean by your home may be a little bigger?" Bonnie asked, circling back to the beginning of Sophia's explanation of what to expect.

"Well, after a lot of relocating, I met my late husband, Nicolas Archambeau. His family had a gift from the stars…incredible astrologists and his mother was also a witch whose magic was used for healing purposes mainly, and gardening. Their gifts for astrology though, brought their family a lot of fortune, they even helped King Louis XIV with some of the funding for Versailles. With all their fortune, they built a large manor, as well as a small neighboring town, in hopes that one day it would be the center of the world for supernatural beings, like Versailles was for royalty. Once we met, which he would say he knew we were going to, for it was "written in the stars", we immediately fell head over heels in love, I changed my name, and we started a life together, a life that was supposed to be forever, but you know how that goes - either way, my home, our home will always be there, in the Archambeau Manor." Sophia's face changed to a more solemn expression.

"I'm so for your loss Soph" Bonnie said with an empathetic expression.

"And I'm sorry for all of yours" Sophia responded.

"Well..So much is starting to make sense now, I can't believe you've been slumming it with me this whole time, I knew we weren't just getting lucky with some of our hotel rooms and AirBnbs!" Bonnie joked.

"Well, we were lucky that I always had my credit cards on me, it was a nice change of pace when Damon footed the bill in Japan…speaking of.. how is he doing?" Sophia asked, genuinely curious since Bonnie hadn't brought him up in a while.

"He's doing okay, I guess, dad life and all, I hear his bar is doing well and Elena has started her residency so they've both been very busy - we need to hurry before we miss our flight, I am dreaming about having a real French croissant!" Bonnie exclaimed, quickly changing the subject.

"There will definitely be plenty of those and way better-baked goods, I think I'm almost done here, I'll call up our ride," Sophia stated noting Bonnie's quick response about Damon.

BBBB
Bonnie and Sophia went through several connecting flights before finally landing in Paris at the Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport. Sophia had a surprise waiting for Bonnie once they picked up their luggage before leaving to get a ride to Chateau de Archambeau.

"I think that's everything," Bonnie said out of breath gathering all her bags.

"Not everything" Sophia responded with a sneaky smile.

"Bonnie Sheila Bennett!" exclaimed an excited Caroline.

Bonnie immediately turned around and saw her best friend making her way toward her, which almost brought Bonnie to tears.

"Caroline" Bonnie said softly with a smile as she opened her arms to welcome her best friend.

"What are you doing here? I missed you so much Care" Bonnie hugged Caroline even tighter before pulling away. Caroline nodded her head over at Sophia behind her, which made Bonnie turn around to give Sophia a smile that read thank you, which Sophia returned with a smiling nod.

"She knew you would want to experience this with your favorite best friend, and I just so happened to have cleared literally everything on my schedule. You haven't been coming home for the holidays and I couldn't take any more grainy video calls. Which by the way.. I brought this, which you will now be keeping at all times!" Caroline ordered, taking a brand-new iPhone out of her purse to give to Bonnie.

"Caroline you didn't –", before Bonnie could finish Caroline interrupted her.

"But I did, and I want to, for my sanity and yours, I hate that we literally use smoke signals to communicate, and I can't keep using my daughters to send you letters back – so welcome back to the 21st century Bon! I transferred everything over from your old phone!" Caroline then made her way over to Sophia.

"Thank you for inviting me, and for keeping her company, I can't thank you enough" Caroline gave Sophia a warm smile of gratitude.

Bonnie made her way over to both girls overjoyed to have one of her oldest friends with her.

"Yes, thank you Soph, althooough, I hope you don't think Caroline came to France without an itinerary.." Bonnie playfully nudged Caroline's shoulder.

"Hey! For your information Bonnie, she already knows and approved of it!" Caroline responded, which made the three girls howl with laughter.

"I am extremely impressed with how quickly you gathered everything together, you may have to plan some future events for our little village! We're here for about a month and I told Caroline she has at least a week out of the month to plan all the different touristy things she said you would want to do." Sophia remarked.

"Ah, that I would want to do, got it" Bonnie laughed which made Caroline playfully roll her eyes.

"So, what's next? Where do we go now?" Caroline asked, looking both at Bonnie and Sophia.

"Our driver, Gabriel should be ready to pick us up, and then we will head to the manor," Sophia responded, excited for Bonnie to finally see her world.

It was about a 2 ½ hour drive of all the girls recapping the lost time, and some of the new things Bonnie had learned without divulging any of the prophecies and how she saw her grams when she was much younger. They talked about Sophia's real age and her having two kids who are also centuries older, as well as their small village west of Paris in the forests, and how it is filled with different low-level supernatural beings that were witches, warlocks, psychics, and healers. They also spoke about Caroline's experience with her supernatural pregnancy and different gossip about mystic falls and the Salvatore School which impressed Sophia, and she talked about how some of the kids in her village could benefit from going overseas to attend the school. Sophia also talked about how she prepared her village and her son and daughter that a vampire would be staying with them and to not take it personally if they weren't as welcoming as Caroline would like, which made Caroline realize how often Gabriel would look back at her through his rearview mirror. After many different conversations which filled the time, they finally made it to the threshold of their village/town called Ville de Lune. As they drove through Bonnie could feel the magic of the town and Caroline loved how the town looked surrounded by different shades of green from the grass to the trees, and the different mountains in the distance.

"Bienvenue chez vous, Madame Archambeau" stated Gabriel before entering the gates to their Chateau.

"Merci Gabriel.. ladies, welcome to Chateau de Archambeau." Sophia said smiling.

Bonnie and Caroline looked in awe as they were driving closer to the home, the roadway lined with large trees, the gardens, and the lake leading up to the Chateau.

"Uhm, Soph, when you say manor, I took it as just a large home, this straight up looks like a castle royalty could live in" Bonnie couldn't take her eyes off from what she was seeing as they were pulling up into the large driveway where there was an older man and woman waiting for them at the entrance. As they were coming to a halt, the driver and Sophia spoke more in French about which rooms to take the bags to. Soon after an older gentleman came to the door to let Sophia out, while an older woman came to the other side to let Bonnie and Caroline out.

"Bienvenue Bonnie et Caroline, préférez-vous l'anglais ou le français?" Asked the older woman.

"English please, I mean sil vous plait!" Caroline responded excitedly while Bonnie nodded in agreement.

"Very well, my name is Christine Bardot, my husband and I both help keep watch of the chateau while Madame Sophia is away, would you mind if I took you to your rooms? Gabriel will be handling your bags." The woman gave both girls a welcoming smile.

"Yes, please, if you don't mind" Responded Bonnie still in complete shock.

Caroline whispered in Bonnie's ear that she feels like she's in the Princess Diaries which made them both chuckle quietly. Bonnie noticed that Sophia and the older male were in a deep conversation, Sophia nodded over at Bonnie with a smile to let her know it was okay to go inside without her. Bonnie could trust the woman with her intuitive psychic powers, so she went ahead with Caroline and the older woman inside.

As they walked into the grand entryway, they both gasped at the high ceilings, chandeliers, checkered floors, tall stone pillars, and staircases on both sides of the entryway.

"Follow me please, we made sure to make your rooms right next to each other" Christine made sure they were both behind her as she made her way to one of the staircases.

As they made it to the second floor, they made their way through the grand hallways filled with beautiful rich furniture, drapes, and busts of different people that they both gawked at. They finally made it to the bedrooms they would be staying in that had a shared main room.

"Uh, Madame Bennet, Madame Salvatore, these will be your rooms for your stay, please let us know if you need anything, and I'll let you both get some rest and freshen up for dinner this evening." Christine gave them both a welcoming smile and closed the door behind her leaving Bonnie and Caroline to jump up and down and squeal with excitement when Caroline couldn't hear her footsteps anymore.

After exploring their rooms, and squealing about everything from the bathrooms, and vanities to the beds and the view from their shared balcony, they finally both showered so they can freshen up for dinner. Caroline made sure to purchase Bonnie a whole new wardrobe for their stay in France which Bonnie was thankful for. As Bonnie was getting ready for the night, she saw a text appear on her new phone.

"Hey Bon-Bon, word on the street is you finally have your phone again, I miss you, and I'm sorry for not reaching out as much as I should be, please call when you can, I'd love to hear your judgey, whiney, voice, and I'm just curious how long until Caroline drives you crazy. anyway, I'll talk to you soon."

Bonnie smiled and liked the text message before putting her phone back down on the vanity to take a deep breath. She wasn't sure how she should do her hair and makeup since they would be having dinner in the gardens to finally meet Sophia's family. After a longing look in the mirror admiring her features, she put her hair into two long French braids leaving out loose pieces of curls to frame her face, she also settled on a more natural look, using minimum foundation with filled brows, lashes that fanned out and perfectly dusty rose-colored lips. She opted to put in two diamond stud earrings Damon got for her for Christmas the year prior, which Caroline helped send them with their gifts using the twin's magic. They were earrings they spotted at a store in Kyoto. Even though the present said from Damon, Elena, and Stefanie, she knew it was Damon who picked them out. She took a picture of herself wearing them and sent it in a group chat to Elena and Damon.

"Finally found an acceptable time and place to wear these, thank you both so much, give my niece a big hug and kiss from me xoxo"

Elena and Damon both liked the picture at the same time.

"Bonnie! We miss you so much, you look gorgeous!" Elena texted back.

Damon sent a picture of himself holding a now one-year-old Stefanie, looking devastatingly handsome.

"Almost as gorgeous as myself #Dilf" Damon texted. Bonnie rolled her eyes and laughed while reading the text.

"Gross, I would block you, but if I can expect more cute pictures of my niece I will keep you un-blocked..for now lol"

Damon sent an eye-roll emoji with a yawn emoji and Elena sent a crying laughing emoji with a heart emoji.

"I dare you judgey, the men in France have nothing on me, I actually shower and have impeccable taste in everything."

Bonnie sent a side-eye emoji with an eye-roll emoji while laughing.

"I'll talk to you two later, I'm late to fraternizing with all the smelly hot men"

Damon disliked the message and Elena responded with a heart emoji.

"Who are you giggling at?" Caroline asked as her pastel yellow open-toed pumps hit the bathroom tile.

"Care, you look fucking hot!" Bonnie exclaimed admiring Caroline's short yellow babydoll dress with puff sleeves, and her hair in a middle part with loose beach waves cascading down her back.

"So do you, I'm loving this hot wood nymph look you've got going on, however, I feel like you'd look so much hotter in the dress I got you," Caroline said with a smile that showed she was getting impatient.

"Geeze, okay, I'm sorry, I was texting Damon and Elena, letting them know I'm back on the grid" Bonnie got up and headed into their shared living room with Caroline following behind her.

"I'm sure Damon's thrilled," Caroline said with a sarcastic and accusing tone.

"They both were" Bonnie ignored Caroline's tone and looked at the dress and shoes laid out for her on the chaise lounge. Bonnie was thankful for Caroline's taste, she picked out a tie-strapped maxi dress with a low sweetheart neckline, and a corseted bodice, covered in blush blue hydrangeas with green leaves, with matching green strappy heeled sandals.

Bonnie stepped out of her robe, and Caroline helped place the dress on Bonnie's body and then quickly grabbed the shoes to help strap them up her ankles.

"Bonnie, it kills me that you don't realize how hot you are and always have been, I can't lie and say I wouldn't wish for an ass and tits like yours," Caroline said as she was finishing buckling the left heel before starting on the right. Bonnie scoffed at Caroline's admission.

"Says the forever blonde cheerleader" Bonnie responded sarcastically.

"I'm serious, honestly if it weren't for you and your moral compass you literally could have had every boy in Mystic Falls wrapped around your fingers. I overheard Matt and Taylor once talking about how they wished you and Jeremy would have never gotten together so there would be the slightest of a chance they could date you, and then they argued over whom you would actually date." Caroline shook her head at the memory of their drunken boy talk, Bonnie just listened amused at the thought of the conversation and the thought of ever dating one of them.

"And Damon…well, I don't even have to repeat what we've already talked about years ago - alright Cinderella, you're ready for the ball!" Caroline stood back up to admire her skills in shopping for other people and eyed the diamond earrings Bonnie was wearing, knowing who got them for her.

"I'm so over this narrative of me and Damon, we are just friends, and as for Matt and Tyler, it would obviously be Matty blue eyes." Bonnie pretended to fan herself down with her hands.

"Okay, now that is something I absolutely would not believe" Caroline laughed. Bonnie shrugged and laughed with her.

There were three knocks at the door before the door opened revealing Sophia with her curly hair perfectly thrown on top of her head and a long sleeve blush-colored satin wrap dress, with matching blush-colored heels.

"You girls look amazing! Caroline, I forgot to mention, we're bringing up a mini-fridge to place in your shared bathroom to hold the blood bags we prepared for you."

"Wow, thank you, prepared?" Caroline asked.

"Bonnie had mentioned that you use blood bags rather than feeding directly on people, which is why we felt comfortable having you here. Our people in this town agreed to donate blood to you so you wouldn't feel the need to get blood through unconventional means." Sophia could feel that Caroline's feelings were slightly hurt even though she didn't show it.

"I'm so sorry maybe I shouldn't – " Caroline stated before being cut off.

"Nonsense Caroline, after all I have heard from Bonnie, it is an honor to have someone like you here, it's the perfect way to show that one day we can all stand together in a united front like you and your friends did in Mystic Falls, like your school!" Sophia gave Caroline an empathetic smile. Bonnie took Caroline's hand and squeezed it.

"And best believe, I will kick anyone's ass for your honor any day of the week, witch, wolf, vampire, brother-in-law, you name it," Bonnie told Caroline which made Caroline smile and feel reassured.

"Thanks Bon, and thank you Sophia for everything, this is all just so…amazing and unreal, now can we go? I am starving" Caroline looked at both Sophia and Bonnie who were looking at each other before howling with laughter.

"Oh my god..for FOOD!" Caroline exclaimed, which made them laugh even harder before walking with each other downstairs and then to the gardens.

When they made it to the candle-lit dinner in the gardens under an arbor set up with flowers and twinkling lights for when it gets darker, they were greeted by Sophia's daughter and son, Sabre and Bastien. Bonnie took in Sabre's smile that didn't reach her eyes as they made eye contact and then Bonnie looked over at Bastien who almost took her breath away with his blue eyes paired with his brown skin, he gave her the warmest smile while intently holding eye contact which made her skin feel as if it were on fire. Caroline said low enough for just Bonnie and Sophia to hear how hot both people were, which made Sophia chuckle.

"Bonjour mes amours!" Sophia exclaimed while going in to give each of her kids a hug.

"Bonjour mama" Sabre responded finally becoming less cold now that her mom was nearby.

"Hey Mom, I've missed you" Bastien said finally taking his eyes off of Bonnie to focus on his mom.

"I would like to finally introduce you to Miss Bonnie Bennett and her good friend Caroline Forbes-Salvatore" Sophia said excitingly gesturing for the girls to come forward. Sabre gave both girls a look up and down, focusing mostly on Caroline. Bonnie and Caroline both greeted Sabre, and Sabre gave them a cold smile in response before sitting down. Bonnie was hoping Caroline wouldn't call Sabre out on her behavior.

They then both greeted Bastien who immediately put out his hand to shake Bonnie and Caroline's hands. Bastien shook Caroline's noting the feeling he felt with direct contact with a vampire that didn't result in a battle. Once he shook Bonnie's hands it felt as if the world stopped, they both felt a feeling of electricity, a feeling Bonnie didn't want to admit she hadn't felt since being around Damon.

"Nice to finally meet both of you, here, sit," Bastien said calmly gesturing the girls to take a seat across from him and his sister, Sophia opting to sit next to Bonnie, with Caroline on the other side of Bonnie.

"I assume we will be speaking in English then while they are here?" Sabre asked looking over at her mother with a glass of wine in her hand.

"If you're wanting us to respond to you, then yeah that might be the best option we have at the moment" retorted Caroline who took a sip of the wine in front of her.

Sabre gave Caroline a smile impressed by her quick response, Sophia and Bastien on the other hand both sighed and looked at each other, Bonnie looked at the wine as she swirled it around in her cup trying not to laugh.

"An American and a vampire all in one, it's no surprise you don't know your place, your dated lowlights and loud nail color reek of entitlement" Sabre responded.

"Enough" Sophia warned, shooting Sabre an angry look.

"Sophia, it's fine, I know what it looks like to no longer be the most important girl in the room, sometimes you just need to let people throw a temper tantrum so they can feel seen and valued, eventually they will tire themselves out just in time for a nap, I see it in my two girls from time to time." Caroline took a slow sip never breaking eye contact with Sabre. Bonnie choked on her wine which cut the tension and caused the table to look at her.

"Hm, I'm going to go ahead and call it a night, I'll take my dinner in my room. Mom, I'll see you in the morning. Bonnie, Caroline, welcome to my home – night Bast, bisou" Sophia stood up to smile at the table before incanting a spell that allowed her to apparate away from the table and into her room.

"Sorry about that girls, my daughter means well, she's just protective over her space and family, she'll come around." Sophia gave an apologetic smile to the girls.

"It's okay, I get it, we can sometimes be that way ourselves, right Caroline?" Bonnie looked over at Caroline for agreement.

"Devastatingly beautiful and bitchy? I excel in both categories." Caroline smiled to herself proudly.

Thankfully Christine and Phillip came by with other friends of the family to place different finger foods on the table before the main entrees came out.

"So, you've been the one taking up my mother's time, I hope she hasn't been too much of a buzzkill" Bastien looked Bonnie in the eyes as he placed a cheese tart in his mouth.

"Hey! I haven't been too terrible, I've kept my space..when I've needed to" Sophia remarked which made Bonnie blush at the different times she had went off to hook-up with different men she had met on their travels.

Bastien was trying his best to get a read on Bonnie but couldn't which made him even more curious about her, Caroline on the other hand, he could read her as if she was spread out on the table like an open book.

"Yeah it hasn't been too bad, your mom has taught me a lot, I'm the strongest I've ever been, magically and mentally." Bonnie looked at Sophia with warmth.

"But apparently not strong enough. because she refuses to come home from her Eat, Pray, Love journey" Caroline stated with annoyance.

"You and Damon have ruined that movie for me you know" Bonnie responded jokingly.

"Damon? Whose Damon?" Bastien asked curiously wanting to know, still not able to read Bonnie but could feel Caroline grow uncomfortable at the question.

"He is mostly a pain in my ass, sometimes a lifesaver, and the other times a best friend" Bonnie cooly responded.

"Just a best friend?" Bastien asked which made Caroline let out an audible sigh, and in return, Bonnie gave her a side eyed look.

"He is engaged and the father to her other best friend's daughter and also Caroline's brother-in-law!" Sophia interjected hoping to end the conversation for Bonnie's sake.

"Ah, okay, I'm sorry for your loss Caroline," Bastien stated, immediately feeling the emotion of grief radiating from her at the mention of the words brother-in-law.

"How did you – oh right, empath.. it's okay, I'm still working through it day by day" Caroline said solemnly while Bonnie patted her leg under the table.

They then all spoke about different memories of their adolescent years, how Caroline became a vampire, her love story with Stefan, and how Bonnie grew into her powers, as well as the different things Bonnie had learned on her trip with Sophia. Bastien spoke about the different stories from his past and how he helped turn the tide in different wars and battles as well as doing what he could in times of injustice across the world. Sophia explained how using one's magic to interfere with the lives of humans is a slippery slope and one they don't take lightly without speaking to the other two semi-immortal covens when they would meet up every so often. After many stories, laughter, and some tears recalling different hard moments they all experienced being supernatural beings it was time to call it a night and head to bed.

Sophia and Caroline headed to bed first leaving Bonnie and Bastien by themselves in the garden.

"You'll let me know if you're getting cold yeah? Bastien asked, still sitting across from Bonnie.

"Oh, I've already done a spell to keep me warm, thanks for being oh so concerned though" Bonnie laughed rubbing her arms.

"Hm, how does that work exactly, I know we touched on it, but it's rare that a witch doesn't need incantations to complete spells, I've read about your line and I don't recall any of them being able to do that" Bastien looked at Bonnie taking in how beautiful she looked through the candles and lights draped through the canopy, her green eyes sparkling like the stars.

"So, I hear, I - honestly I don't know..it's just a feeling, it's like when I created a psychic world for Enzo out of anger, sadness, and grief, I've learned to manage my emotions to the point where I can control them better, to work with my magic instead of forcing it to bend and break. It's now like a part of me, another limb, almost how you move or breathe without having to think too hard about it. I'm also getting used to the idea that I might be more than just a little badass" Bonnie smiled looking up at Bastien.

"You're damn near a goddess at this point Bonnie Bennett, I've been alive for a long time, but never have I encountered someone as strong-willed and intelligent as you, and you met my sister" Bastien laughed which in turn made Bonnie laugh with him.

"Yeah, she's honestly not the first nor will be the last to come in hot like that." Bonnie took another sip of her wine.

"And how do I come?" Bastien asked, tilting his head slightly to the side which made Bonnie almost choke on her wine again.

"A little too calm, a little too sure of themselves, a lot like your mother" Bonnie responded.

"What every man likes to hear, okay I can live with that" Bastien grinned.

Bonnie laughed in response.

"No, I mean, it's been easy to trust your mom because of that, and my magic trusted her before I did" Bonnie finally set her glass of wine back on the table.

"Does your magic trust me?" Bastien asked.

Bonnie slowly allowed her magic to reach out to his and suddenly felt exposed when Bastien could now reach her emotions even if it was for a moment, which caused them both to blush.

Bonnie slowly brought her magic back to her intrigued by how electric she felt now having a taste of their magic intertwined with each other.

"Can I show you something?" Bastien asked, which Bonnie responded to with a nod.

Bastien got up and walked around the table toward Bonnie and held his hand out to help her get out of the chair. Bonnie followed Bastien's lead as they walked further into the gardens talking about the different things he wanted to show Caroline and Bonnie and the itinerary Caroline had for them for when they go back to Paris and then Versailles.

"You know, I can get you both a private showing to Versailles" Bastien looked down at Bonnie to see how she would respond.

"Wow, I'm not even going to lie, we would love that, I will warn you that Caroline has picked out gowns for us to wear when we go, and I can't promise you she won't make you her personal photographer."

Bastien smiled at the thought.

"If it meant seeing you in a gown, I'd bring a whole damn camera crew" Bastien looked back down at Bonnie who now stopped walking to turn towards him.

"Easy, I'm beginning to think you showing us around might be from having ulterior motives" Bonnie looked up at Bastien, surprised at herself for not changing the subject and letting the tension they had built up now flow freely between them.

Bastien bent down and moved one of her braids over her shoulder noticing her breaths had become deeper and more frequent and her brown skin had pinked up a little through her cheeks. He went towards her ear and whispered for her to turn around.

Bonnie turned around in wonder and saw the lake and neighboring trees and gardens light up with fireflies.

"Fireflies" Bonnie stated walking towards them and then twirling around in them playfully as Bastien looked on intently at Bonnie.

"In the past few years, we've been getting more of them, it's almost as if they were waiting for you to come see them" Bastien looked around at the fireflies and then back at Bonnie.

"Oh, I'm so sure" Bonnie laughed and then became aware of Bastien coming closer to her.

Bonnie then slowly walked toward Bastien. As she walked towards Bastien her heel got stuck in the grass which almost caused her to trip.

"Here, I got you" Bastien calmly stated to Bonnie.

He bent down on his knee and slowly lifted her dress which caused her to have a strange sense of déjà vu, as if she had done this song and dance before. Bastien slowly unwound the straps to her heels, freeing her right foot before he started on her left. After he finished taking her left foot out of her shoe, Bonnie, surprising herself, knelt down to Bastien's level, grabbing his face and taking in his blue eyes, still ignoring the weird sense of déjà vu. Bastien took the signals she was giving him and grabbed her by the waist to pick her up so her legs would wrap around his waist.

"Bonnie Bennett, you are extraordinary in every which way, and I will protect you and choose you every day till the end of my days," Bastien said seriously and intently looking into Bonnie's green eyes. She knew without him having to say it, that he felt as many feelings as he possibly could while she let her magic open up to him for the short moment they shared earlier. He didn't know the extent of the reasons why she felt what she had felt but he would make sure someone like Bonnie would never be made to feel that way again.

"That's a big promise for someone who has only met me once" Bonnie purred into his ear, and then faced him to give him a smile.

"That's all it took for me, the moment you appeared down the walkway, I felt your presence in my home the moment I drove through the gates." Bastien looked into Bonnie's eyes again wishing he could read how she felt. Bonnie then did something she swore to herself she would never do but she reached into Bastien's mind and could tell that he was being 100% truthful and that he wanted her, all of her, right then and now. Bonnie felt the same, so she slowly pressed herself more into him and placed a kiss on his lips which he responded to hungrily. Their kiss became more urgent and needy with their tongues darting around into each other's mouths as she slowly started to grip the back of his neck with her hands causing him to groan. She broke away from the kiss only to move from his jawline to his neck, quickly nipping at his skin.

"Bonnie – there's a small cottage close by that I use sometimes to paint in" Bastien said while catching his breath.

"Yes" Bonnie nodded, answering an unsaid question.

Bastien let Bonnie down so she could then get on his back as they went towards the cottage.

Once they arrived Bastien incanted a spell to open the door so they could enter. Bonnie looked around at the cottage and the different canvases and paint placed around the front of the house.

"Okay Picasso, I'm impressed" Bonnie stated admiring his work.

Bastien laughed, not wanting to bring up how he had painted with Picasso before in fear of ruining the moment.

Once they made it to one of the bedrooms Bonnie hopped off Bastien's back.

Bastien turned to face Bonnie and bent down to place more kisses on her face, and neck and then met her at her lips. He then pulled away to look at her, which caused her to look away, beginning to get lost in a distant memory.

"Hey, I'll follow your lead Bonnie, we don't have to do anything you don't want to do" Bastien reassured her noticing that something was beginning to occupy her thoughts. Bonnie shook her head and then looked back at him.

"Bast, something about this feel's different and I can't shake the feeling, it's like if we do this, I feel like it will change everything."

Bastien grabbed Bonnie's face trying to understand what she was trying to say.

"Change everything - I don't understand."

"I don't know, almost like closing a chapter without closure to my old life" Bonnie said placing a hand on Bastien's hand that was holding the side of her face.

"Should I be worried?" Bastien asked with a smile half joking, half serious.

Bonnie giggled.

"Not one bit" Bonnie responded while pushing Bastien onto the bed. Bastien quickly kicked off both of his shoes.

Bonnie climbed on top of Bastien feeling his growing erection between her legs as she straddled him before lowering herself to meet him with another kiss. Bastien responded to Bonnie's needy kiss while wrapping his arms around her and then flipping her, so she was now underneath him. He began placing his lips softly on her skin to nip at her jawline and then her neck which made her groan as she could feel herself growing wetter, he then untied the straps to her dress and slowly pulled the top of her dress down to her waist revealing her perfectly round breasts and hard nipples that he quickly gave attention to with his mouth coaxing out more moans from Bonnie.

As he continued to explore her body with his right hand, he made his way down to her soaked lacey thong that was a part of the wardrobe Caroline had got for her. He teased her by grazing his fingers over her center, Bonnie then flipped him back over by wrapping her legs around his waist and used some of her magic to give her a boost in strength. Once she was back on top, she started to unbutton his shirt which he quickly helped with as he quickly sat up to free his arms from his shirt. With them both sitting up now Bastien grabbed Bonnie by her neck with one hand and placed another at her side bringing her in for another needy kiss. Bonnie explored the sides of him with her hands taking note of all the different muscles as if he were carved out of stone. She then reached down to his abs and slowly brought one of her hands down to the skin right above the button of his pants carefully avoiding his erection, teasing him. Bonnie then started to unbutton his pants still not breaking their kiss. Bonnie pushed him back down on the bed so she could pull off his pants.

After his pants came off, she got off the bed to fully step out of her dress before climbing back on top of Bastien to greet him with another hungry kiss, Bastien slowly sat them back up again.

Bonnie finally broke the kiss and studied Bastien's face, lips swollen from their heavy kissing and the different love bites already appearing on his neck, his blue eyes doing the same, looking Bonnie over admiring how much of a goddess she really was.

"I have a crazy idea" Bonnie said with a smile.

Bastien ran his thumb across her lips.

"Mm and what's that, I'm struggling here." Bastien responded, now rubbing her sides with both hands.

"I need you to hold my hand, and with the other, place it on top of the bed" Bonnie took Bastien's hand and with the other placed it onto the bed, which Bastien followed. Bonnie then closed her eyes and suddenly they were both on the bed in the gardens next to the lake, under the moonlight and stars.

"No fucking way" Bastien said in shock as he brought his hand up to caress the side of her face which she leaned into the touch of him as he looked around.

Bonnie had gotten the idea from his sister using an apparition spell to leave the dinner, she didn't want to bring that up in the moment though.

Bastien then incanted a spell mixed with French and Latin to make them a bit warmer under the moonlight. Bonnie responded by leaning into him to kiss him again. Bastien slowly moved himself and Bonnie back down on the bed.

"You don't understand how beautiful you are in this moment - moonlight looks so good on you Bonnie." Bastien slowly placed more kisses on Bonnie's neck and made his way back down to her center sliding the fabric of her thong to the side so he could feel her which made Bonnie groan with pleasure as she slowly started to spread her legs to grant him more access. Bastien slowly entered in one finger slowly as he placed his lips back onto Bonnie's, stifling her moans with his kiss, he was becoming harder at how wet she was for him. He then entered in one more finger and slowly picked up the pace as he moved in and out, which caused her to moan even harder.

"I need you..now" Bonnie said as she broke away from the kiss with urgency. Bonnie placed her hands on both sides of Bastien's waist to lower his briefs, Bastien helped as he took them all the way off and threw them somewhere in the garden. He then placed one hand on Bonnie's neck and then the other slid down her barely there thong with the help of Bonnie. He then placed his hand at the base of his erection to guide it into Bonnie's center which brought out loud moans from both Bonnie and Bastien. Bonnie could feel herself slowly stretching for him so she could take his full length with each thrust. Bastien then pulled Bonnie's legs up to wrap them around his waist so he could turn them over to place Bonnie on top once they finally got into a good comfortable rhythm. Bonnie, now on top, rode them both out into a climax which caused her to fall to the side of him with pleasure.

They both were catching their breaths letting the cool air hit them as they looked up into the stars and moon greeting them. Bastien then looked over to Bonnie and pulled her closer to him so he could kiss her face.

"Let's do that again," Bonnie said smiling, still looking into the sky before looking back at Bastien.

"I think I'm in love with you" Bastien responded.

They then went for two more rounds before the sun started to rise and once they were both spent, Bonnie finally spelled them back into the cottage so they could get some rest.

BBBB

After Caroline woke up and saw that Bonnie never made it back to her room, she called Bonnie's phone about 10 times before finally calling Elena.

"Caroline? Is everything okay?" Elena answered in an obviously sleepy tone.

"No Elena, everything is not okay, Bonnie never came to her room last night and she is not answering her very expensive phone I bought for her!" Caroline got up to go to their shared bathroom to get a blood bag out of the mini fridge for her pre-breakfast treat.

"Care, I'm sure she's fine she's probably exploring the huge castle you're in, also you're on speaker, Damon just got home from closing the bar, but you can't yell, I don't want Stefanie waking up"

"Who is it?" Caroline could hear Damon asking in the background.

"Your sister Damon, who will never live down losing Bonnie the one time she lets me be on a trip with her," Caroline said exasperated.

Caroline could hear Damon tell Elena to give him the phone.

"Whatever, here, I'm going back to bed, goodnight daddy Salvatore, goodnight Care, I'll call you when I wake up" Elena said sleepily, and Caroline could hear an obvious kiss goodnight.

"Ew gross, really? Daddy Salvatore? I think I lost my appetite" Caroline annoyingly looked at the phone.

"Blondie, no one cares - what's going on with witchy" Damon demanded.

"I didn't hear her come to her room last night, she's not answering her phone and she – BONNIE" Caroline exclaimed at hearing Bonnie's door to her room open.

Bonnie stopped in her tracks from doing the walk of shame to her bedroom, genuinely afraid to face Caroline and also embarrassed by how she looked at the moment.

Caroline, still phone in hand, swung the bathroom door open to meet Bonnie at the entrance of her bedroom in their shared living rooml.

"OH my god, BONNIE you had sex, I can smell it and visibly see it!" Caroline exclaimed with Bonnie, now extremely embarrassed, mouthing "who are you on the phone with" to Caroline.

Caroline now realizing she was still on the phone looked at the phone and then at Bonnie, and then mouthed to her "did you sleep with Bastien?", Bonnie smiled and nodded, and noticed that the phone said Elena. With Bonnie's hand held out she magically took Caroline's phone into her hand and held the phone to her ear, too quick for Caroline to realize what just happened.

"Elena I will talk to you about this later, and yes it was Sophia's hot son Bastien that I know Caroline snuck a pic of to send to you! Now I would love it if I could shower and go back to bed" Caroline looked at Bonnie in horror which confused Bonnie.

"Yeaah.. this is Damon" Damon responded which made Bonnie place a hand on her mouth in horror.

"Damon, I am so embarrassed, and I have to go, here's Caroline!" Bonnie gave the phone back to Caroline and walked slowly to the bathroom, now wanting the day to be over already.

"Uhm, so crisis averted! Bonnie is safe and sound and I am going to get off the phone now because this is incredibly awkward" Caroline said, nodding to her own statement.

"Yeah..same, good night Care" Damon responded in a noticeably exhausted and hurt tone.

"I'm sorry Damon, I didn't know" Caroline said empathetically.

"Why would you be? You both can sleep with anyone you want why would I care?" Damon responded, trying to sound unbothered.

Caroline shook her head knowing that she shouldn't feel bad for Damon but deep down did.

"Yeah, you're right, I'll talk to you and Elena later, give Stef a kiss for me when she wakes up and please make sure Alaric packs the girls their weather-appropriate clothes when he visits you guys this weekend"

"Yeah, will do, night Care"

"Good-night Damon".

Caroline hung up the phone, feeling guilty knowing what she knows about Damon's feelings for Bonnie and knowing how this may cause him to spiral, but knew there wasn't much she could do about it from France. Caroline then went to the bathroom to harass Bonnie while she showered.

I know I know I know it hurts me too :') just stay with me guys! It will be worth it I promise.
