Back in the 2090's..

As Bonnie Bennett materialized within the familiar walls of the Salvatore Boarding School, a sense of unease instantly enveloped her. The air was thick with tension, a silent testament to the turmoil that had transpired in her absence. It was a disturbance she felt in her very soul, a disturbance confirmed by the school's communication system, which buzzed with an unusual alert. With practiced urgency, she summoned Luna, the school's AI system.

"Report the situation, Luna. What's the cause of the alarm?" Bonnie's voice, firm yet tinged with concern, broke the silence.

"An attack occurred in the Mystic Falls square. There were no local fatalities, but 20 locals sustained injuries. The local authorities have attributed the explosion to a gas leak, assuring the public of no foul play, the OWIA made sure to wipe the memories of anything they may have seen that was supernatural" Luna responded, its voice devoid of emotion yet conveying the gravity of the incident.

Bonnie's intuition screamed that there was more to the story. "Luna, display the incident for me," she commanded, her tone leaving no room for hesitation.

The hologram that materialized before her eyes depicted a scene of chaos and confrontation, revealing her younger self, alongside Caroline, Bastien, and others, caught in a sudden fight with OWIA agents. But it was the sight of Emeline, her daughter, unleashing a formidable power against the agents that drew a sharp intake of breath from Bonnie. The raw display of strength was both awe-inspiring and a stark reminder of the dangerous world they inhabited.

Turning off the hologram, Bonnie battled with her immediate instinct to retaliate against the OWIA, knowing such actions could escalate tensions further. 'We need to approach this with strategy, not just raw emotion,' she reminded herself, echoing the wisdom that had guided her through countless battles.

Her analytical mind took over, prompting her to inspect the footage more closely. "Luna, replay the video, slow it down. Focus on the agents," she instructed, her eyes narrowing as she observed an abnormality in the agent's faces and veins. It looked as if their blood ran black as their veins briefly became prominent in the images.

Before she could think much of it, she got an alert that cars were coming through the gates, she recognized the familiar energies of the people in the cars and closed her eyes in relief when she felt Emeline.

Rushing outside, Bonnie's reunion with Emeline was a moment of pure, unadulterated joy. Their embrace, was filled with relief and love, a welcomed feeling after what they both experienced. "Mom, I'm so sorry I didn't notice you weren't—" Emeline's apology was cut short by Bonnie's reassurance.

"Shh, there's nothing to apologize for. Are you alright?" Bonnie's voice was laced with a mother's concern, her hands gently caressing Emeline's face, searching for any sign of injury.

Emeline's laughter, light and carefree, was a sound Bonnie cherished. "I'm fine, mom. But what about you? Are you okay?"

Bonnie's response was swift, a nod accompanied by a tight embrace.

As they broke apart, Bonnie's attention shifted to the others arriving. Her smile at Bastien was one of gratitude and understanding, a silent acknowledgment of their shared ordeal. Her gaze then found Damon, trailing behind Bastien, and their exchange, though brief, was laden with comfort and unspoken words.

"We need to talk about what you did back there." Bonnie gently steered the conversation back to the day's events, her tone firm yet filled with love.

"Yeah, later, though. I have so much to tell you, but right now, I'm just exhausted. Caroline thinks we should all regroup here, to avoid anyone else getting... swapped from another dimension," Emeline's words trailed off into a soft chuckle, a sound that Bonnie echoed.

"Yeah, well I'll agree with your Aunty Care on that for sure" Bonnie's voice trailed off as she caught the appearances of Katherine, RJ, Chris, and Bruce.

"Huh" Bonnie said aloud which made Emeline turn to see what Bonnie was looking at.

"Super long story, but we better get inside, Lana is making dinner for everyone, and I desperately need to change, and some iced-coffee" Emeline gave her mom another kiss on the cheek, before heading inside. Bonnie smiled and watched as Emeline ran inside with Lana.

"Bonnie, good to have you back" RJ said as he walked towards the witch.

"Thank you, for protecting my girl" Bonnie began, RJ nodded in return. "We have a lot to discuss I'm sure, can't be good if you're all the way here in Virginia," Bonnie continued with a more serious tone.

"We will talk shop later, thank you RJ, Caroline will show you and Chris where you can freshen up" Bastien said as he placed his hand on RJ's shoulder, Bonnie let out a strained sigh before smiling at RJ and Chris and watched as they made their way inside. It was now just her and Bastien.

Bonnie turned to him, her heart lightened by his presence amidst the turmoil. "Hey, you," she replied, her voice threaded with genuine relief. Their connection, though strained by circumstances beyond their control, remained unbreakable.

Bastien, always mindful of Bonnie's well-being, chose his words with care. "It might seem redundant to ask how you're feeling, so I'll simply say I'm relieved you're back." His hand found her arm, he lightly squeezed it a gesture of comfort and reassurance.

Bonnie's response was tinged with a melancholy understanding. "Me too. It's a relief to have you back, Bast." Her eyes, a striking green, met his with an intensity that seemed to still the world around them.

"I know things are complicated and we haven't had the time to sit down and talk about us and how we move forward, but I promise I won't pressure you to have any kind of conversations until you're ready, there's a lot that takes precedence right now, and I understand that," Bastien said with a calmness that made Bonnie feel comforted.

"Thank you, I just ultimately want to make sure our daughter is safe throughout all of this, none of it is going to be easy, this isn't even the beginning," Bonnie frowned. Bastien's arms enveloped her as he pulled her to him. offering a sanctuary of warmth as he kissed her forehead. He wished he could spend a few more moments being this close to her as he knew these moments would be fleeting at best.

Meanwhile, inside the house, Damon watched the exchange with an intensity that didn't go unnoticed by Caroline, who approached him despite Stefan's cautious advice not to.

"I'm not in the mood for a lecture or your advice, blondie," Damon remarked coldly, anticipating her reproach.

Caroline, undeterred, continued, "Bonnie and you may share a deep love, but don't forget her history with Bastien. He's been nothing but devoted to her and deserves to know if there is anything left to be explored there."

Damon's response was laced with sarcasm. "You're not exactly the best at uplifting speeches, are you?"

"I'm merely pointing out that Bastien wasn't just a fleeting part of her life. He's been a constant presence and genuinely loves her unconditionally," Caroline pressed on, challenging Damon's understanding of commitment.

"What are you insinuating?" Damon asked, turning to face her, irritation evident in his voice.

"That some of us don't take marriage lightly" Caroline challenged Damon as she bit her tongue on how he strung Elena along.

"Caroline" Stefan began as he sensed where the conversation was going.

Before anyone could say anything Bonnie and Bastien walked through the door and immediately sensed the tension.

"I'm going to make some calls to some of our allies down in the basement, I need to put to rest any murmurs and whispers that I'm dead," Bastien said to Bonnie before eyeing the others.

"Yeah, I'll meet you down there later" Bonnie responded. Damon made a mental note that there would not be any time for that if he had it his way.

Bastien bent down to kiss Bonnie on her cheek before heading off, Damon did his best to mask how that small gesture made him insanely jealous when he knew he shouldn't be.

"Well…this is a familiar sight, let me guess you two are fighting and Stefan is attempting to play mediator" Bonnie teased as she eyed the familiar expressions on everyone's faces.

"Thankfully, you came at the right time, Caroline and I are going to help get everyone settled" Stefan grabbed Caroline's hand and slightly tugged at it which made her reluctantly turn her attention from Damon to Bonnie.

"Good to have you back Bon" Stefan continued. Caroline echoed Stefan's greeting and let her know that they would be having a girl talk later that night to discuss everything. As soon as they walked away it was just Damon and Bonnie left at the entrance.

Damon's expression quickly softened as he drew Bonnie closer with a tug at her waist, "You have no idea how much I've missed you," he confessed, his touch reigniting a familiar warmth in her.

"Let's go to the back in the gardens, I liked having some fresh familiar air and the obvious tension is making this old place stuffy" Bonnie grabbed his hand and squeezed it. Damon never realized until that moment how much Bonnie's physical presence put him at ease, regardless of everything that went on around them. He let her lead the way to the back of the school and they quickly made their way to the back of the gardens to sit on one of the benches in the courtyard.

As Bonnie and Damon sat facing each other on the bench, their silhouettes painted against the backdrop of a fading sunset, there was an undeniable magic in the air. The way the dying light played across Bonnie's features illuminated her in a way that not surprisingly took Damon's breath away. Her vibrant green eyes sparkled with a mixture of joy and nostalgia as she smiled at him, a smile that held the weight of countless shared memories, happy to have a moment of peace with Damon.

"There's so much I want to tell you, yet all I crave is this silence, this peace with you," Bonnie confessed, intertwining her fingers with Damon's. Damon could think of a million other things to do with Bonnie that he also craved.

"You know, I kissed your 2010 version. Does that count as cheating? Because technically, it's still you, and well, we haven't exactly defined what 'we' are," he said, a mischievous glint in his eyes as he gently caressed her hand.

Bonnie's laughter rang through the quiet of the evening, a sound Damon thought he could listen to for eternity. "Mmm, I might have kissed your 2010 version too" she admitted, her gaze falling to their intertwined hands, a playful seriousness in her tone.

Damon feigned contemplation; his curiosity piqued. "Wait, spill. I need to know everything," he urged, leaning in closer as if preparing himself for a tale of epic proportions.

"You were intrigued by me, and our interactions were unexpectedly flirtatious," she began, her eyes alight with the memory. "And, in the end, I couldn't help but reveal the depth of my feelings for you and show you everything" she concluded, a wistful sigh escaping her lips.

"And how did I react to that confession?" Damon asked, curious because back then it would have shocked the hell out of him.

Bonnie looked away for a moment, lost in the beauty of the twilight sky. "You took it better than I expected. It seems I've always underestimated your desire for attention from the 'judgy bitch witch,'" she teased.

"Bonnie, I've always wanted more than your attention," he confessed, his voice barely above a whisper, as he smirked and lightly tugged at her hand.

Bonnie playfully broke away. "Before we get too caught up," she started, rising from the bench, a mischievous sparkle in her eye. "Klaus kissed me, and I might have reciprocated," she revealed, watching Damon's reaction closely, purposely wanting to gain a reaction out of him.

"You what?" he exclaimed, his expression a mix of disbelief and delight.

Bonnie's laughter filled the space between them, her enjoyment of his reaction evident. "Bonnie Bennett," Damon began, shaking his head with a smile that was all charm and devilry. "I should have known. Klaus always wants what he can never have."

"Yeah, well, he's not the only one, he needs to get in line" Bonnie retorted, her words light and teasing.

In a flash, Damon was before her, his presence commanding yet gentle. "Let me make one thing clear, Bonnie Bennett. There will never be a line," he declared with his hand tenderly caressing her cheek, his thumb tracing the line of her jaw. "I would have ripped the heart out of every single one of them" Damon continued which made Bonnie give him a disapproving look.

"Damon," Bonnie started, her tone a blend of admonishment and affection, but she was silenced by his finger against her lips.

Then, with a tenderness that belied his fierce words, Damon pulled her in for a kiss. It was a kiss that spoke volumes, a slow dance of lips that melded passion with an indescribable tenderness. Bonnie responded in kind, her arms wrapping around him, drawing him closer, her heart beating in rhythm with his.

Bonnie pulled away from the kiss first to grab both sides of Damon's face and admire the way his face seemed as if it had been carved by a Renaissance artist.

"So, you're not mad?" Bonnie asked with a raised brow. Damon shrugged as he was confident there was context to the kiss and Bonnie would have never initiated it. Bonnie let out a quick sigh.

"What is it?" Damon asked softly, wanting badly to go back to devouring each other.

"Being back there in that time, I just never would have imagined that you and I would be here today" Bonnie stated as she looked into his wildly blue eyes. Damon thought briefly about that and also found it unimaginable as it took years of knowing Bonnie for her to consider him as just a friend.

"If someone would have told me in passing, I would've thought it was the most unfunny joke I ever heard" Damon smirked as he rubbed her waist.

"Same, I'm sure that's what 2010 me thought, I sent her back with the memories of whatever happened when she was here and with no spell from the ancestors she'll have a head start on what's to come, and what to do with you I'm sure" Bonnie said softly as she rubbed Damon's face.

"That's bound to make things interesting, I told her to give me hell, don't go easy on me" Damon smiled at the thought and was amused that the Damon back then was going to be dealing with a Bonnie that has growing feelings for him

"I doubt she will, but at least now she gets a choice and a fair chance, you both do" Bonnie continued. Damon brought the palm of her hand to his mouth to kiss it and inhaled the scent of her.

"You're hungry," Bonnie noticed as she watched the veins in his face appear. "I can fix that" Bonnie continued in a soft tone.

"I'll meet you up in your old bedroom - if you haven't already noticed, we tried to restore it as closely as possible to how you would have liked it" Bonnie and Caroline had started to retore some of the older parts of the school to commemorate the Salvatore brothers toward the end of Damon's human life.

"Don't keep me waiting witchy" Damon smirked as he placed another kiss onto her lips before he vamp-sped into the house.

Bonnie took her time to greet everyone in the school and let them know to not wait up on her for dinner as she was going to take her time showering. Caroline and Stefan knew exactly what that meant, with Caroline rolling her eyes at Bonnie before distracting the others so Bonnie could leave.

Bonnie made her way slowly through the house and up the stairs, feeling her body's anticipation of what and who she was making her way to. She knew she was in dangerous territory with even kissing Damon so close to where everyone else was, not that many would care, however, she didn't want to hurt Bastien, but she also couldn't deny her heart, mind, and body of where she wanted to be since she was kept from Damon for so many years.

Once she made it to the door, Damon quickly swung it open and picked Bonnie up as he slammed the door behind them. Damon quickly crashed his lips into hers as she hungrily met his. She grabbed Damon's hair and pulled his head back which made him growl in pleasure as she made her way from his jawline to his neck planting soft wet kisses. Damon carried her to the bathroom and sat her on the counter as they both quickly tore their clothes off each other as if it had been years since they contacted one another.

Bonnie was just in a bra with matching underwear at this point, giving Damon ample access to a vein of his choosing. Damon stared at her hungrily and got to his knees to spread her legs as he placed kisses up her calf and to her inner thigh. His hand briefly grazed her wet center which made her moan at the contact. Damon then dug his fangs into her femoral vein, careful to not bite too hard as Bonnie placed her hand over her mouth to not make too much noise to alert the others downstairs.

In between feeding off of her, he would place soft kisses in the same spot and around the bite so it would be more pleasurable for Bonnie. He then pulled away as he couldn't focus with the way her body was calling for him and how her scent filled the air around them. He brought his hand back to her center and slowly ran his finger up and down the wet fabric that separated her from him.

"Damon, don't tease me" Bonnie moaned. Damon smirked at how easy she was coming undone for him and went back to kissing, sucking, nipping, and licking up her body.

Damon made his way up her torso, and with one hand he unhooked her bra and pulled off the lacy fabric. He took a second to admire how perfectly full and perky her breasts were. He placed his hand over her right breast to squeeze it and then placed her left erect nipple into his mouth which made Bonnie place her hand over her mouth as she moaned. He made sure to share his focus and attention to her right breast. Bonnie with her free hand placed her hand over his hand that was squeezing her left breast. As she continued to moan he pulled away which made her wince at the loss of contact. He smirked at how hard she was trying to keep her composure and made her look at him as his hand trailed back down her body and slowly placed his hand in her lacy thong.

"Fuck, you feel so fucking good little witch" Damon said in a low tone as he placed a few loose curls behind her ear with his other hand.

"Damon" Bonnie looked at him with pleading eyes as he was teasing her.

"Yes Baby?" Damon returned as he continued to trace her wet center with his middle finger, being careful to not enter her just yet. As he slowly circled her clit he brought his mouth to her neck and sunk his fangs into her as dug her nails into his back and instinctively wrapped a leg around his waist to bring him closer to her while still atop the bathroom counter. Damon savored each drop of his personal drug, sweeter and more powerful than anything he's ever had, blood that could make him drunker than the most top shelf bourbon in existence. He would never get over how she feels, tastes, and smells underneath him.

Once Damon got his fill he pulled away and looked at his witch with golden brown skin as drops of blood fell from her neck, her swollen breasts heaving with her heavy breathes, Damon pulled away from her to really take in who was spread for him filled with want on his bathroom counter. They both took a moment to take each other in with their hungry eyes, saying so much but nothing at all.

"I'm in love with you Bonnie, and I need to know now, do I need to be worried" Damon asked as he wiped her blood from his face and re-tasted it with his fingers. She should have been disgusted at the sight, but it made her feel unashamedly aroused, she thought to herself that she could not bear Damon drinking blood from anyone or anything but her.

"Worried?" Bonnie asked as she cocked her head to the side.

Damon clenched his jaw and placed both hands on the counter beside her as he stepped closer to her.

"I love you, I love fucking you, I love to hear you call my name whether people listen or not, but I need to know that this means more to you than just two people-" Damon began before Bonnie placed a finger to his lips.

"You want to know that I'm not just having my cake and eating it too" Bonnie stated as Damon narrowed his eyes at her in response. Bonnie wrapped her arms around his neck and lightly scratched the back of his head.

"Damon, I'm not like the others you've loved or been with. Yes, I love Bastien, he'll always hold a place in my heart. But when it comes down to it, it's you, Damon. It's always been you, spell or no spell, why the fuck do you even think I got with Enzo" she affirmed, her eyes locked onto his, a depth of emotion swirling within them, her promise that she was not just passing through his life like a transient shadow.

Damon smirked at the mention of Enzo because the thought passed his mind, even back then. He took a mental note that they were going to re-visit that conversation.

Bonnie's assurance, however, pierced through the armor he had meticulously built around his heart, an armor forged from past hurts and the fear of being deemed unworthy of love. His history with Elena had left him wary, the complexities of their relationship—a sire bond, his brother falling out of love with her, falling in love with Bonnie—muddling his understanding of true affection and always knew at the end of the day, Elena and himself were settling for each other out of stubbornness and pride. The notion that someone could love him as deeply as he needed, without conditions or reservations, seemed like a distant dream. Yet, here was Bonnie, declaring her choice, him, in a voice so steady it threatened to undo all his doubts.

The ghost of his past relationship with Elena lingered like a specter, its shadow casting doubts on his worthiness of love. The unexpected demise of his bond with Elena as humans had left him adrift, grappling with the reality that perhaps he was meant to walk his path alone. The emergence of his feelings for Bonnie, initially unforeseen and entirely uncharted, had been a silent revolution in his heart. The memory of her gravitating towards Enzo had once stoked fears of a missed chance, he always that she would sooner die than be romantically involved with a vampire. Yet, the pivotal moments in Kyoto, the unraveling of spells and secrets, had shifted something fundamental between them, laying the groundwork for a connection that defied expectations.

Bonnie, sensing Damon's withdrawal into contemplation, enveloped him in an embrace, her fingers still gently weaving through his hair, a soothing gesture meant to tether him to the present. She understood the weight of their history, the hurdles they had overcome to be together in this moment. Her own heart was a battlefield, torn between the love she still held for Bastien and the profound, all-consuming love she felt for Damon. The specters of Klaus's words, the shadows of Katherine and Elena, danced at the edges of her consciousness, each whispering doubts about the legitimacy of her feelings.

The guilt she harbored over Elena was a thorn in her side, an unwelcome reminder of the complexities of their intertwined lives. Yet, as she held Damon, Bonnie realized that her fears of judgment, of the whispers and stares that might follow their union, were chains she no longer wished to bear. She had spent too long curating the image of Bonnie Bennett, the selfless friend, the martyr, at the expense of her own desires.

Now, with the clarity that only comes from facing one's deepest fears, Bonnie knew she could no longer afford to live in the shadows of what others might think. The looming threats over their heads, the uncertain future they faced, demanded that she choose herself, choose the love that promised freedom from the expectations that had long governed her life.

In this quiet moment, wrapped in Damon's embrace, Bonnie resolved to step fully into the light of her truth. The perception of Bonnie Bennett, the witch bound by duty and sacrifice, would no longer eclipse the desires of Bonnie Bennett, the woman who yearned for love, for Damon, with a fierceness that could no longer be denied. Their love, born from the crucible of their shared trials and triumphs, stood as a testament to their resilience, a beacon guiding them through the darkness.

"Damon," Bonnie began, a hint of seriousness laced with the affectionate familiarity that had always defined their interactions. She gently disentangled herself from their embrace to look him directly in the eyes.

"Mm?" Damon responded, his gaze flitting between her eyes and lips, a signature smirk playing at the edges of his mouth. He couldn't help but be captivated by her, the very picture of desire and affection mingled together.

"It's you and me, Damon. Always has been and always will be. Maybe that's why neither of us can seem to stay dead for too long, the universe was just waiting for us to get it right" Bonnie teased, her voice carrying a lightness that belied the depth of her sentiment. Her words, though playful, spoke volumes of their intertwined destinies, of a bond so strong it transcended the very laws of nature.

Damon's smile, genuine and wide, was a testament to the joy her words brought him. "So, if I were to ask, right now, 'Bonnie Bennett, would you be my girlfriend?' what would you say?" he teased, his fingers gently rubbing her sides, the intimate gesture sending a shiver down her spine.

Bonnie's blush deepened, her heart fluttering in her chest at the thought. "I'd say that I feel like a giddy teenager all over again, and what a corny way to ask, but yes, Damon. Yes, I wouldn't want anything more," she admitted, her smile broadening as she leaned in to seal her promise with a soft, affirming kiss on his lips.

"Well, I haven't officially asked yet," Damon teased, his eyes dancing with mischief, eliciting an eye roll and a laugh from Bonnie.

"And you might want to check if you need to get a divorce first," he added nonchalantly, though his tone suggested the gravity of the situation wasn't lost on him.

Bonnie's eyes widened, a mixture of surprise and realization dawning on her. "Yeah, I need to sort that out, don't I?" she acknowledged her voice a mix of amusement and resolve.

Damon's response was another kiss, a sweet punctuation to their conversation. "Yes. And when that's settled, I'll ask properly," he promised, a solemn vow wrapped in the warmth of his affection.

"Does this mean I'm an adulterer?" Bonnie whispered, her tone teasing yet laced with a hint of genuine curiosity. Even in the face of their complicated circumstances, they found room for humor.

Damon pulled Bonnie into a more tender kiss and lightly pulled her off the counter so they both could slip out of their underwear.

In the seclusion of the steam-filled bathroom, Damon and Bonnie found themselves enveloped in an intimate dance. The cascading water created a veil around them, a world removed from the outside, where time seemed to stand still. As they took turns lathering soap over each other's skin, their movements were deliberate and tender. Each stolen kiss was a spark in the humid air. They moved with a cautious grace, mindful of the supernatural beings with super hearing below, their laughter and sighs mingling with the sound of the falling water.

After the water had been turned off and the final droplets echoed down the drain, they wrapped themselves in towels, pretending as if they both were strong enough to leave their alone time together with just that. The air was thick with the scent of both of them and the underlying notes of desire that always seemed to hover between them. As Bonnie lifted her leg onto the counter, the simple act of applying body oil almost made Damon break their unspoken rule of not crossing a boundary tonight. The oil glistened on her skin, catching the soft light of the bathroom, and highlighting the curves and edges of her body in a way that left Damon utterly transfixed.

The sight of her, so open and beautiful, was intoxicating. Damon, ever drawn to Bonnie's beauty and the shape of her, found himself mesmerized by the way the oil accentuated her perfectly smooth brown skin. The fragrance of the oil, mingling with her own unique scent, was a siren call he found impossible to resist. His resolve crumbled, and his hands, which he had been keeping to himself with a self-imposed restraint, reached out to touch her as he stepped behind her and dropped his towel. The feeling of her smooth, oiled skin beneath his fingertips was electric, a tangible connection that sent a shiver through them both.

Bonnie's eyes met Damon's in the mirror, a silent acknowledgment of the shift in the air between them. There was a shared understanding in that glance, a recognition of the depth of their connection that went beyond words. In that moment, they existed in a world of their own making, a world where the intensity of their feelings was both a balm and a flame.

Damon's touch was reverent, as if he were memorizing every inch of her skin, every curve that made her uniquely Bonnie. His actions spoke of a desire not just for physical closeness but for a deeper union of their souls. Bonnie, in turn, leaned into his touch, a silent invitation to explore, to claim, to affirm their bond in the most primal and profound of ways.

Damon undid Bonnie's towel to gain better access to her, Bonnie knew that there was no use in putting up any type of fight, especially when she ached for him as she felt his erection against her. She closed her eyes to place a privacy spell on his room, ignoring that the spell would send off an alert to Caroline as the AI system sends silent alerts of any magic being done. She didn't care, she could only focus on where Damon's hands were going as they pinched her nipples and made their way to her lower half. Bonnie opened his eyes and watched Damon's hands make a map of her as they trailed up and down her glowing naked body. Bonnie slightly opened her legs to let his fingers brush over her dripping wet center which filled the room with her scent. Damon watched Bonnie as she bit her lip and grabbed onto his arm to hold steady as he swirled his fingers with her arousal. He slowly pumped one finger in which made Bonnie almost buckle beneath him. She placed her free hand on the counter to keep her steady.

"Fuck, Damon" Bonnie moaned as Damon slipped another finger into her, slowly pumping in and out letting more of her wet arousal coat his fingers.

Damon pulled his fingers out and trailed them up her body and watched as he brought his fingers up to her mouth, parting them so they could taste how ready she was for him. He placed his other hand on her stomach to pull her as close to him as possible as she softly sucked his fingers.

Damon then turned her around to face him, he stepped away again to get a full look at Bonnie who was watching him wander. "You're taking so many mental notes tonight" Bonnie teased as he quickly licked his lips.

She then smirked, and turned to walk away from him as she made her way to his bed. Damon couldn't keep his eyes off her perfectly perky ass and bit his lip to restrain everything he wanted to do in that moment. These were just some of the moments that he would go to war for, he never knew touching or making love to a woman would feel as good as it did with Bonnie. It felt as if it were his first time feeling the sun on his skin after becoming a vampire, or the ecstasy of that first taste of blood, he would chase this high for the rest of his life. He finally understood what it meant to be pussy whipped as just looking at her ready herself for him was making even more blood rush to his already hard dick.

He made his way over to his bed where Bonnie was lying on her back playing with herself as they both made eye contact. Damon couldn't take it anymore and became jealous of Bonnie's own fingers. Damon vamp-sped to the bed and grabbed her hands to hold them above her head. A move so swift Bonnie barely caught her breath.

"Do you understand what you do to me" Damon said with intensity as he tighten the hold on her wrists.

"If it's anything close to what you do to me, god, does that suck for you and your restraint," Bonnie said in a lusty tone.

Damon took his time to bring his lips back down to Bonnie's, crashing into them, as their tongues both swirled at the taste of each other. Damon then placed his lips back onto her nick and slowly made his way back down her body, taking his sweet time as he licked and nipped at her skin. He finally let go of her hands so he could pull her to the edge of the bed by her waist. Bonnie let out a giggle at how quickly he pulled her down. He softly tapped under her right thigh to signal that they need to be wrapped around him. Bonnie quickly obliged and brought her finger to her mouth to bite as she knew that would make him go crazy. Damon let out a light chuckle and thought to himself 'game on'. He unwrapped her leg from him and kissed down her long and knelt down as he made his way further up her leg.

He took his time the closer he got to her aching wet center before finally licking and kissing her up to her clit which made Bonnie moan with pleasure as she bucked up her hips and grabbed onto the sheets. Damon slowly pumped in his fingers which earned more moans. He kept going until Bonnie trapped his head with her thighs as she came all over him.

"Damon, fuck, I need you" Bonnie whined as she tried to steady herself after her explosive orgasm. Damon smiled and licked his lips as he stood back up, tasting every last drop of his witch. Bonnie wanted nothing more than to feel the weight and fullness of him, so she turned around and arched her back in the air as she gave Damon perfect access to her. Damon smacked her ass hard which made Bonnie yelp and he slowly began to rub his erection up and down her wet center, which made them both moan at the feeling. Damon chuckled at Bonnie trying to make him enter her as she wiggled her perfect ass while he was taking his time memorizing every part of her and how she feels.

"Damon!" Bonnie cried out, knowing that she would make him pay for this.

"You're a needy little witch aren't you Bon-Bon" Damon teased which earned a groan from Bonnie. Damon finally thrusted into her which made them both moan in pleasure. Damon started slow as he worked his way into her, moaning at the warmth and wetness of her as he gripped onto her waist and picked up the pace.

"Fuck, Bonnie, I'm not going to last long at all" Damon groaned as he already felt like he was going to cum. Bonnie turned to face him and smiled as she gestured for him to come here. Damon pulled out and watched as Bonnie turned onto her back, Damon crawled onto the bed and quickly went to kiss her swollen lips again, as Bonnie met the speed and pressure of his kiss, she flipped them around.

"You better not have learned that with past me" Damon scolded in a teasing way. Bonnie laughed and shook her head before she placed another kiss on his lips as she helped him find his way back into her. As Bonnie rode him into an orgasm she arched her back as she came again feeling him fill her up. Bonnie couldn't help it but her magic made the lights in the room flicker as they both rode out their orgasm.

Damon sat up to meet Bonnie and placed his hand around her neck and gripped it as he made intense eye contact with her.

"God, I'm in love with you Bonnie" Damon said breathily as Bonnie gave him a sultry smile in return.

"I'm so, soooo in love with you Damon Salvatore" Bonnie widened her smile. Damon grabbed both sides of her face as every time she mutters those words, he swears it makes his heart and boner grow more each time.

They both crashed their lips into each other, sucking and biting as they started round 2 of Bonnie's homecoming, pun intended. Round 2 quickly turned into round 3 and 4 as they explored each other in every way possible in every position. After the fourth round, Bonnie and Damon rolled over to catch their breath. Bonnie stupidly tried to get up from the bed and fell onto her knees which made her laugh hysterically.

Damon darted over to Bonnie to make sure she was okay. He watched, bewildered, as she tried to catch her breath, her laughter tapering into soft chuckles that filled the room.

"Damon," Bonnie finally managed to say, her voice laced with amusement and a hint of reprimand, "I may heal a lot faster than before, thanks to my own witchy upgrades, but you are literally going to be the death of me. Remember, I'm not truly immortal, nor a vampire" she teased, leaning her back against the bed for support as she slid onto the floor, still chuckling.

Damon couldn't help but smirk at her comment, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "You had me fooled," he retorted, wiggling his brows in a playful gesture.

The sound of Bonnie's stomach growling broke the momentary silence that had fallen between them, prompting a curious glance from Damon. "Did we miss dinner?" she inquired.

"I didn't, but you clearly did," Damon responded with a teasing tone, his gaze sweeping the room. "Your clothes are torn to shreds in the bathroom, and, unfortunately, I don't have any spares here for you," he added, his voice carrying a hint of regret. He then made his way to sit beside her on the ground, their shoulders touching in a comforting gesture.

In the quiet of the room, the air between Bonnie and Damon was charged with an unspoken understanding, a tender gravity that seemed to pull them closer with each passing second. Bonnie, her gaze soft and full of affection, lifted her eyes to meet Damon's.

"Damon," Bonnie whispered, her voice a soft melody in the quiet room, as they both reached for each other's hand.

"Yes?" Damon replied, his voice laced with a mixture of curiosity and anticipation. He brought her hand up to his mouth to kiss it.

In that moment, as Bonnie paused, her eyes locking with Damon's, she felt and appreciated the extreme she always felt for him, as if their souls were sired to each other.

"I'm never going to want this, with anyone else," she confessed, her voice steady yet laden with emotion. "I knew it back then, somewhere deep inside, but now," she trailed off, her gaze never wavering from his.

Damon brought his free hand to caress her face gently, a tender gesture that bridged the gap between them. "I know," he whispered, his voice a soft echo of her sentiments. He then drew her closer and placed a kiss atop her head.

Their moment of intimacy was abruptly interrupted by a knock at the door, followed by Lexi's voice, breaking through their bubble with the reminder of the world waiting outside. "Bonnie, Bastien brought you a suitcase of some things you may need. I'm leaving them outside your door, and Caroline will kill you if you don't come down and eat," Lexi called out.

"Thanks Lex!" Bonnie yelled back, glad that Bastien hadn't been at the boarding school for a little bit.

Damon was quick to respond, helping Bonnie to her feet with a gentle tug, ready to face the world outside their sanctuary. As he opened the door to retrieve the suitcase, Lexi's curious gaze met his. In true Damon fashion, he returned her look with a sarcastic smile before he closed the door, a playful dismissal of any further inquiry from Lexi.

"God, they've been up there forever," Caroline lamented with a deep sigh as she meticulously arranged the silverware beside each plate on the large dining table. The table itself was a feast for the eyes, laden with side dishes that Lana and Emeline had lovingly prepared.

"Bonnie promised we would have a girl's talk tonight," she continued.

Stefan, ever the voice of reason, offered a reassuring smile as he assisted Caroline, his hands moving deftly to align the glasses with precision. "Give them a moment. I'm sure they'll be down here soon," he tried to calmly reassure Caroline.

Caroline let out a groan, her anticipation for the evening's plans momentarily clouding her usually sunny disposition. It was then that Lexi entered the dining room, her expression a mixture of amusement and mild disgust. "They're coming. Bastien brought a suitcase of clothes just in time," she announced, her nose wrinkling slightly at the sight of a naked Damon who grabbed the suitcase.

"Gross," Caroline couldn't help but retort, knowing what her friend was up to.

Lexi, catching Stefan's eye, shot him a look that clearly asked, "What's her problem?" But Stefan, understanding the delicate balance of emotions at play, simply shook his head, silently advising Lexi to let the matter drop for the sake of harmony.

The moment was broken by Emeline's cheerful voice, carrying through the house. "Okay, more food is coming in hot!" she exclaimed as she emerged from the kitchen, a hot tray of stuffed pasta shells in hand, her enthusiasm infectious. Lana followed closely behind, bearing trays of garlic bread that filled the room with their enticing aroma.

Caroline sprang into action, swiftly delegating tasks with the efficiency of a seasoned hostess. She orchestrated the transfer of various food items and drinks from the kitchen to the dining table, ensuring everyone played a part in the preparation.

As Bonnie and Damon finally made their entrance, the dynamic in the room subtly shifted. Bonnie's appearance, fresh from a shower with her hair woven into two long French braids and her face bare, radiated a simple, unaffected beauty. She took her time to warmly re-greet everyone, her gratitude evident as she thanked Bastien for the extra clothes. However, Bastien's cold response did not go unnoticed, his discomfort with Bonnie and Damon's relationship hanging heavily in the air as he took his seat at the end of the table, a silent sentinel of unresolved tension.

Bonnie, determined not to let the undercurrents of discord mar the evening, gracefully took her seat between Caroline and Emeline, while Damon found his place across the table, nestled between Lexi and RJ. The table was a tableau of complex relationships, each person a thread in the intricate tapestry of their shared history.

Caroline, seizing the moment to set the tone for the evening, laid down the ground rules. "Okay, ground rules for dinner tonight: no talk about battles, fights, time traveling, nor any new news. I just want a normal night with all of us, as normal as it can get anyway," she declared, her gaze sweeping across the faces gathered around the table, landing on Katherine who offered back a knowing smirk.

"And I want to thank Lana and Emeline for this delicious-looking meal," Caroline continued, her smile broad and genuine as she looked towards the two chefs of the evening. Her words sparked a chorus of agreement and appreciation from everyone.

As the night drew on, the conversations gradually softened, as they all talked about different positive things within their current lives, careful to not touch on any one sensitive topic. The simple pleasure of reunion was felt by everyone as they took in the reality of seeing familiar faces alive and well.

Emeline and Lana were the first to excuse themselves as they wanted more alone time to discuss the recent events, RJ and Chris opted to head out with Katherine and Bruce to the local bar, mainly to survey what the talk of the town was from the "gas leak" explosion. Bastien and Lexi helped clear the table and offered to do the dishes, which left Damon, Stefan, Bonnie, and Caroline at the table.

"Caroline, I can't thank you enough. Life's thrown its fair share of curveballs at us, more than I can count, but you've been my rock through it all. Especially tonight—it's like a breath of fresh air, a semblance of normalcy we've all been craving," Bonnie said, leaning into Caroline,

Caroline, her tone light yet laced with sincerity, replied, "Honestly, Bonnie, having you back is what matters. It was surreal, you know, dealing with 'past you.' Your reactions to our 'future' adventures were priceless." Her gaze flitted to Stefan, sharing a moment of warmth and silent understanding.

Bonnie chuckled, a sound tinged with nostalgia and a hint of melancholy. "Being 'past me' was like watching my life through a rearview mirror—made me realize how much I didn't really live back then. It's funny, isn't it? How we only appreciate the moments and the what could bes after we've had them? I've definitely made up for it now though" she mused, her eyes briefly meeting Damon's.

Damon, ever the provocateur with a smirk, quipped, "Oh, the tales 'future you' could tell. The life you've lived and the debauchery, there wouldn't be enough pearls for past you to clutch, It's impressive, really."

"Guess I've earned my stripes, then. After all, when you've danced with death as often as I have, you learn to embrace life—sometimes a little too enthusiastically," she admitted, her eyes twinkling with mischief and memories of her escapades.

"You deserve anything and everything you desire Bonnie, I promise my brother and I have not forgotten why we have been brought back, as much as I love to be back here with Caroline" Stefan shot Caroline a loving smile before turning his attention back to Bonnie, "What you require of me, of us, takes precedence," he affirmed, his gaze meeting Bonnie's, a silent vow reflected in his eyes.

Bonnie appreciated the sentiment and slightly frowned as she remembered all that stood ahead of all of them. Before anyone could add to his sentiment Caroline chimed in.

Her words sliced through the tension with a precision that was almost palpable. "Yes, which is why we need to not be selfish; I just hope everyone remembers what the end goal is because I will not lose you again," she stated, her gaze meeting Stefan and then piercing Damon's with a mixture of frustration and disappointment. It was a look that spoke volumes, a silent testament to the years of turmoil and the weight of loss she carried within her.

Damon attempted to interject, his voice rising in a mix of protest and indignation. "Say what you need to say, Caroline, but for you to insinuate that my main goal is not to keep Bonnie and her family alive is—," he started, only to be swiftly interrupted by Caroline.

"Not the main reason you're happy to be back? Please, save me the theatrics Damon," Caroline shot back, her words laced with sarcasm, eyes rolling in a display of exasperation and disbelief. It was a dance they had done many times before, a clash of wills and worlds, yet beneath the surface lay a tangled web of shared history and unresolved grief.

At this, Bonnie and Stefan exchanged a look, a silent communication that spoke of their deep understanding of the delicate balance of their relationships. Their expressions, a mix of concern and anticipation, underscored the gravity of the moment, the weight of the words being exchanged, and the fragile ties that bound them together.

"Care—" Bonnie began, her voice a gentle attempt to soothe the growing storm, only to be met with Caroline's impassioned outburst.

"No!" Caroline exclaimed, rising from her seat, "I get it, you and Damon have this bond that is only for you two to understand, trust me, I get it, but Bonnie, I spent decades mourning the love of my life, while Damon wasted the life Stefan should have had."

"Caroline" Stefan began as he stood up from the table as well.

"No, Stefan, let her get this off her chest," Damon remarked, his tone laced with a mixture of resignation and challenge.

As he looked up, his gaze met Caroline's, whose looks could kill with an instant. Beside them, Bonnie, overwhelmed by the intensity of the moment, buried her face in her hands.

Caroline, undeterred and fueled by righteous indignation, unleashed a torrent of emotions that had been dammed for too long. Her words cut through the air, sharp and unyielding, painting a vivid picture of the sacrifices made and the hearts broken in the wake of Damon's pursuits.

"You put so many of us through hell for Elena, for your selfish love, for Elena, only to realize that the person you were actually in love with is Bonnie who couldn't love you back the way you needed her to. And when you realized it was too hard to find a way to make her realize she loved you, you took the easy route and continued a mediocre life with Elena. Why? Was it guilt? That every time you had to see me and my girls was a reminder that the love of my life died so you could be with my best friend just so you could feel accomplished that you 'finally got the girl'? Was it all worth it? Because it wasn't, for me Damon. And now, you get to have a second chance at life where you can spend it with Bonnie, never truly having to suffer any consequences. You haven't even let your remaining relatives know you're back because you don't care. You only care about yourself Damon, and your new obsession for this phase of your life," Caroline retorted, her voice a crescendo of grief and accusation.

The room fell silent, the weight of Caroline's words settling like a heavy shroud.

"Caroline, enough" Bonnie stood up to face Caroline which made Damon stand up in return.

"I could go on, but you, Bonnie, you should know how I felt, how I currently feel, because you were with me every step of the way. You know how hard it was, and I don't even get an apology. I get to see him win, again, and take my best friend away from me, again," she said, her voice trembling as tears brimmed in her eyes, a visible manifestation of the anguish and betrayal she felt.

In that moment, the air seemed to thicken, charged with the intensity of Caroline's pain. Damon, his features set in a hard line, clenched his jaw, a silent battle raging within him between defiance and regret. Stefan, caught in the middle of this emotional maelstrom, stood before his brother, torn between the instinct to mediate and the realization that some chasms were too deep to bridge with words alone.

Bastien and Lexi stood in the doorway as they both heard everything that was going on from the kitchen. Bastien smirked at the different emotions he could feel from everyone in the room.

"Okay, Care—" Bonnie attempted to interject, her voice a soothing balm, seeking to mend the fractures with the gentleness for which she was known. Yet, before she could weave her words into the healing she so desperately sought, Caroline, overwhelmed by a wave of emotions, cut her off.

"I just, I need to go," she said, the words barely a whisper as she turned on her heel, her departure as swift as it was sudden, leaving a trail of stunned silence in her wake.

"Let me handle this" Bonnie declared as she looked at everyone in the room before leaving to follow Caroline.

"I'll be back down in the basement" Bastien announced, careful to not add to the tension. The rest of the group besides Damon nodded in agreement.

"Wow" Lexi began as she made her way toward the Salvatore brothers. Damon scoffed in response before taking another swig of his bourbon.

"As much as I want to gloat, that wasn't fair, it doesn't mean that what she says doesn't hold some truth, but it was Stefan's choice" Lexi folded her arms as she offered the slightest amount of reassurance to Damon.

"Trust me I get it, I would have much rather have been in Stefan's position" Damon responded nonchalantly, trying to hide the hurt in his voice.

"Damon, you don't mean that" Stefan stated.

"No Stefan, I have a lot of regrets, and a lot of guilt which is why I tried not to waste my life" Damon stated.

"And you didn't Damon, you gave Elena what she always wanted, and you know she wouldn't want your family to be brought into this mess, maybe once all is safe but not now" Stefan continued.

"At the end of the day, what's happened has happened, you can't change the past, you just try to not repeat the same mistakes" Lexi chimed in which made Damon roll his eyes.

"My need to not drive a stake in your heart should prove that I have learned from my past" Damon tried to cut the tension with humor, but Lexi was not amused.

"Damon, maybe It will help if you talk with Caroline, her anger is misplaced but it could help to heal an old wound so she can be mad at the person she's really upset with…me" Stefan patted Damon on the shoulder.

Damon drank the rest of his bourbon before letting out a deep sigh as he made it into the kitchen with Caroline and Bonnie. He thought to himself that his past self wouldn't have cared about Caroline's feelings as his life and choices weren't her business, however, he wanted to make an effort.

He walked in and saw that Caroline and Bonnie were hugging with tears down their eyes and almost bolted out the door, but he realized if he really wanted to show that he had changed for the better, he would swallow his pride to speak with Caroline.

Bonnie, who was still hugging Caroline, looked up and made eye contact with Damon, she smiled slightly at the gesture as she could sense why he was there.

"Uhm, we can finish this later, someone wants to speak with you," Bonnie said to Caroline as she pulled away from the hug, Caroline knew it was Damon as she could smell his scent, she quickly wiped her eyes to turn around and face him.

"Alright, well, I am going to have a late-night drink in the library while I look up some things, you two be good," Bonnie said as she looked between them.

As Bonnie walked by Damon, he quickly pulled her in for a quick kiss.

"Couldn't resist" Damon said softly to Bonnie, Bonnie winked at him before finally leaving the kitchen.

Caroline stood next to the counter with her arms folded as Damon made his way to her.

"I'm sorry," Damon said as he stood next to her with his hands in his pockets.

"Do you even know what you're sorry for?" Caroline asked as she looked up at him.

"For being a shitty friend, vampire, brother-in-law, all of it" Damon continued as he eyed Caroline's demeanor.

Caroline shook her head at the half-assed apology. "Well, I guess we were never the best of friends, so you don't need to apologize for that"

"Hey! I take offense to that, if Myspace were still a thing, you'd be in my top 8" Damon teased which made Caroline let out a low chuckle.

"But, to be serious, I know how much it sucked to not have Stefan here, it's something I thought about every single day of my human life, and toward the end of it, he's all I could talk and think about, I wasn't able to give 100% to anything in my life because a huge part of me died when Stefan did," Damon admitted as he recalled the memories of his life after Stefan. "You made it easier Caroline, every holiday, every birthday, you made sure you were there for me and my kids - I can't even begin to thank you for loving my brother as much as you do, it showed in your actions daily and I don't give you nearly enough credit" Damon continued.

"The comments about your family, I'm sorry Damon, I know Elena would never forgive you for reaching out to them with all of these threats looming, so I'm sorry about that, that was low and not fair of me" Caroline admitted, Damon let out a deep sigh.

"I'm sorry for not putting in more effort to my human life" Damon began before Caroline moved to face him head on.

"No Damon, you did, you did the best you could do, I know it's all easier said than done, you had a baby on the way and you made the adult decision to let Bonnie go, I commend you for that – realistically, if you tried to get more involved with Bonnie, it would have gotten you and your family killed, and to even suggest otherwise is very naïve of me" Caroline said as she stood straight and looked Damon in his eyes.

"I thought I came in here to apologize to you; this is not going nearly as I planned it" Damon teased which made Caroline smirk in return.

"It's all water under the bridge Caroline, at the end of the day you're my family, your daughters are my family, I will always love and take care of all of you. And with Bonnie, she isn't some new obsession for me to go off the rails for. I'm in love with her in a way that it feels like it's the first time as cheesy as it sounds" Damon noticed Caroline flinch slightly at his words.

"That's what I just don't get Damon, were you not in love with Elena?" Caroline asked, genuinely curious to hear the answer from Damon's mouth.

"Yes, for a time I was, but it wasn't a love that was supposed to last as long as it did, I more fell in love with being loved, and I tried, I tried several times to leave, long after Bonnie got married and you got even more involved with the school. But the guilt, that we both felt, to just walk away…we were cowards. We were an epic love, not a forever love" Damon admitted, feeling that tinge of guilt he felt in the past about it.

"But Bonnie's different?" Caroline asked, not wanting to beat a dead horse but she was curious and needed affirmation that Damon planned to love her sister for the long run.

"Absolutely, I imagine the only way to compare it is how you feel about Stefan, I'm sure at one point you were truly in love with Matt, Tyler, Klaus..Am I forgetting anyone?" Damon teased which made Caroline playfully hit his shoulder.

"What I'm trying to say is that you, being better than all of us, except for Bonnie, knew when it was time to let love go, and were brave enough to do so, you were also brave enough to let yourself fall in love with Stefan, you took that chance even though you could have strung the others along, they were safer bets, and now you'll finally get a chance at your fairytale ending, the one you deserve" Damon gave Caroline a genuinely warm smile. He truly admired Caroline for how she navigated her life and what she had built for herself.

"Yeah, just got to get through this hurdle, and Damon" Caroline began,

"Hm?" Damon returned.

"Anyone who wasn't blind knows how you felt about Bonnie, sometimes I just need the verbal assurance that you won't hurt her, but I know, deep inside I know, and always knew that you two would find your way, I love her a lot, she's my best friend, my sister" Caroline continued, as she knew if there was someone that deserved to live their truth and love freely, it was Bonnie.

"It's why you're the only person ever allowed to question me when it comes to her, I know at the end of the day it's all out of genuine love for her and I appreciate that, now come here and let's call it a truce" Damon said as he pulled a reluctant Caroline into a hug.

"Okay, you're hurting me" Caroline chuckled as she pulled away "You and Stefan still need to learn your new strength"

"Speaking of" Damon said as he could hear Stefan coming through the door.

"Wow, am I interrupting an actual tender moment between you two?" Stefan teased as he walked over to Caroline.

"It really has been the most bizarre couple of days, but I'm ready to end it.. with you" Caroline said in a seductive tone as she brought Stefan into a kiss.

Damon scrunched his face and left them to it to go find his girl in the library.

"Hey" Damon announced as he entered the room where Bonnie was curled up in a chair reading a book on Witch and Warlock history.

"Hey you" Bonnie returned as she looked up from her book.

"Everything went okay, blondie and I are finally on the same page" Damon continued as he walked closer to Bonnie.

"Oh, good, I wish that was most the stressful issue in my life," Bonnie said with a sigh as she got up from the chair to place the book back on the shelf.

"What is it" Damon asked in a more serious tone as he tried to read the solemn expression on Bonnie's face.

"If I'm right about my assumptions, things just got a lot more complicated – the spell, I can't explain it, but Adonis had help, and not from Sabre" Bonnie walked past Damon as she was thinking aloud.

"I'm not well-versed in the world of witchy woo, you're going to have to be a little bit more specific than that" Damon trailed behind Bonnie, wishing he could read her mind.

"Tonight has been great, but tomorrow, and the day after that –" Bonnie turned around to face Damon and lightly tugged at his shirt as she looked up at him.

"We will handle it, you have the dream team under one roof" Damon gestured with his hands trying to make light of whatever bombshell his witch was going to drop.

"I have to go back to France, with Bastien, Emeline needs to stay here" Bonnie bit her lip and narrowed her eyes at Damon as if she knew she was about to give him orders he wouldn't like.

"Great, I'll come with you, it's not the first time I've been in a Throuple" Damon teased earning a 'be serious' look from Bonnie.

"What I said earlier about me and you.. I meant that, however, in order to play the game that I've been brought into, I have to be strategic about what I do next, like a politician, not all battles are fought with brute force, and I can't have my incredibly hot future boyfriend getting hot–headed" Bonnie wrapped her arms around Damon's waist as if the physical contact would help ease the blow.

"You want me to stay here, with Emeline" Damon sighed as he wrapped his arms around Bonnie and placed his head on top of hers.

"Yes, all of my brought back from the dead vampires need to stay here, I can't risk pissing anybody else off even though your coming back wasn't my doing, this coming war has been coming to a head for ages, I just, was naïve of my place in this world, and got way too comfortable and complicit," Bonnie said as she leaned into Damon.

"What do you mean?" Damon asked as he pulled away to look at Bonnie.

"In the history books that Alaric helped put together from his years of research with the other professors, he was able to trace my lineage back farther than I could have even imagined, Bennett magic has been coveted for ages, even the most moral of witches would do the most wicked things to have a piece of what my bloodline can offer." Bonnie finally let go of Damon and headed back toward the bookshelf to grab another book.

"I need to meet with the other 2 coven leaders, only then will I get the confirmation I seek" Bonnie opened up a book that showed her family tree.

"And that is…?" Damon tried to follow.

"The help Adonis had, he had to have gotten Bennett magic from somewhere, I would've recognized my own daughter's magical signature, so it's not her, and it's not mine, not directly anyway, and even then, he still wouldn't be powerful enough to pull what he did, unless he had help, from two other powerful coven leaders" Bonnie ran her fingers through her lineage and placed a finger over Lucy's name.

"Didn't she die? At the armory?" Damon looked at the familiar face of her cousin Lucy.

"Yes, but what if she had kids Damon? Or something, she did something before she died, she's helped me so many times when I've used ancestral magic, however, her energy always seemed a tad elusive, even the times I've called on her, either way, Bastien will help me get the answers I need before I just start accusing everyone" Bonnie closed the book and placed it back on the shelf.

"Why don't you restore your link to your ancestors" Damon suggested, as she could quickly get the answers, she needed that way.

"No, I can do this without them, with the family I made for myself" Bonnie quickly responded with an edge to her tone.

"Okay, can we go back to bed now if I'm going to be away from you for however long? In fact, how long is this excursion going to be?" Damon raised an inquisitive brow as he was not a huge fan of her going off on her own.

"Oooh wouldn't you like to know" Bonnie widened her eyes and smiled as she pulled Damon in closer to her.

"Yes, that's why I asked" Damon teasingly rolled his eyes before giving her a devilish grin.

"How about this, for every day we aren't together, earns you a free pass to take me how you want me, wherever you want…within reason" Bonnie propositioned in a seductive town which prompted Damon to let out a low groan.

"Well, unlucky for you I am typically quite unreasonable" Damon widened his and quickly picked her up earning loud chuckles from Bonnie as they made their way back to his room.

BBBB

"If we are to work together, don't pretend as if you know the best way to do an attack, the ONLY reason you two are still standing and not in long-gone shallow graves like the rest of them is because I made it so, ME!" Adonis said angrily across the table from Finola and Amulius.

Finola and Amulius looked at each other with almost a bored expression before looking back at Adonis.

"Our way at least ensured that she could have still lived, as we don't want to go to war with her, we just needed her trapped, she received unforeseen help, both of them did, one with the help of Esther, and the other, well you know how her daughter's strength more intimately than we do" Finola rose an accusing brow at Adonis.

Adonis let out a chuckle as he pinched the bridge of his nose in thought.

"I'm good, but I'm not that good, I don't have the knowledge of the kind of spell they performed, and it's a spell that would not be taught do to all the consequences, but you both continue to underestimate Bonnie, what will she do if she finds out you two had a hand in getting rid of her? At least she expects it from me, but you – the scandal" Adonis gave both a devilish smile.

"Then we will be honest with her and our growing concerns, she would understand our need for self-preservation and to protect the natural order of things and the world we inhabit" Amulius explained, unaffected by Adonis' words.

"That would be commendable if she'd believe it, you think she won't recognize the magic within those rings I created, stolen magic at that" Adonis looked at his ring filled with Lucy Bennett's daughter Joanna's magic split between them three.

"How close are we to finding Joanna's line, even with this magic, it is naturally strong but overall, too weak split between the three of us as the magic never had time to mature" Finola stated with a hint of worry in her voice.

"Why don't you do something for once, just because I am sparing both of your lives, yet again, does not mean I'm here to do your dirty work." Adonis snarled.

"We're done here, the prodigal son has returned thanks to you, and has reached out to set up a meeting tomorrow" Amulius announced as he stood up from his chair with Finola.

"Then you better not leave him waiting," Adonis said with a smirk as Finola and Amulius gave him a stern look back before apparating out of the room.

Adonis' smirk went back to his normal scowl before he used a crystal to contact a witch.

"My patience is growing incredibly thin, I know Sophia had been hiding Lucy's descendants, I just don't know where, how much closer are we before I offer your pretty little head to Bonnie" Adonis snarked as he looked at an apparition of Qetsiyah.

"It's not just Bennett and Archambeau magic that was used to conceal them, I can't even contact them through my ancestral line, I also don't answer to you Adonis, we may have common goals but don't get cocky, I have no plans on making sure you survive this" Qetsiyah quickly severed their connection by placing the crystal back in her pocket.

She made her way to Mount Sinai in NYC, and quickly found her way to one of the surgical floors and took a seat in the waiting area where loved ones were being updated of patients' statuses. As she instinctively looked up she saw twin surgeons, a male and a female walk over to a patient's loved one to update them on the patient. Qetsiyah immediately felt a pull toward them and couldn't take her eyes off them which caught the attention of the woman.

Qetsiyah watched as the woman said something to her twin before walking over to Qetsiyah.

"Hi, I'm sorry, do I know you? Are you here for someone?" The surgeon asked as she eyed Qetsiyah.

Qetsiyah reached out to grab the woman's arm and immediately felt the familiarity of the woman's energy which made the surgeon jump.

"Sorry, I uhm, you looked like someone I knew, no I don't need anything" Qetsiyah smiled as the surgeon rubbed her arm and furrowed her brows at Qetsiyah before walking back over to her twin brother.

The surgeons made their way back down the hall, and the woman made sure no one was around to hear her when she turned to speak to her brother.

"Remember my dreams I've been having?" The woman asked as she grabbed her brother's arm.

"Yes, why?" the brother responded with concern.

"That woman, I remember her, I've seen her face very vividly in my dreams, her and the green-eyed woman" The woman whispered in a sharp tone.

"Positive?"

"Positive"

"I'll cover your post-ops" The brother returned, and the sister nodded before she quickly made her way to the locker room so she could change out of her scrubs and head to Virginia.
