Or The recordings of Sheppard's torture at Kolya's hands is used as a training resource for new recruits to give a true representation of what wraith are truly like. Team goodness, no ships. Weird concept, but I had fun writing it.

When a training mission with new recruits is ambushed by wraith, three new Marines must fight to survive with the help of a mystery soldier. Or Lt. Colonel John Sheppard as seen through the eyes of some new recruits (because we never got enough of seeing the military side of Sheppard, in my humble opinion). Some healthy Shep Whump and BAMF Sheppard w/ some of the team.

Follows an off-world mission that requires a couple of daring rescues and leaves the whole team, especially Sheppard, injured. Involves Sheppard whump (but they all get a little ouchies), Ronon being badass, Teyla being the voice of calm and big time Rodney angst as he questions his place on the team. Mostly a team bonding story with a healthy dose of Sheppard whump.

Rodney calls an emergency early morning meeting to discuss his latest discovery: They'd commit fewer war crimes if they took more naps.

It's a horrible jungle planet and HC is in store for poor Rodney. Sheppard, Ronon and Teyla are there too. This story was originally posted as an answer to a challenge: Jungle, Hurt comfort and under 4,000 words. I wrote it back in 2007. The first chapter remains 4,000 words. I have just added a second part.
