When Kagome came to work she had sensed that something wasn't right. She didn't sense any demonic or any monsters in the hospital but it felt like something was there. After scanning the building she continued on with her work but was on guard. She had checked on Sindy. It looked like the girl didn't sleep well. She told them that she had a bad dream about a witch watching her from the window. Her father blamed it on the movie she saw last night. Kagome on the other hand didn't dismiss this. After sending Sindy to do another test Kagome checks the room for any marks or signs. She looked over at the window and saw the fingerprints burned on the outside frame. Knowing that there wasn't a balcony or anything else that helped her see the wall closer she did her best to open the screen. When she was able to do so she looked around the walls and spotted the light mark next to the window. She quickly placed the screen back on and called Richard.

When he came to check out the wall and the cameras to see if could find something. He found the light claw marks that were climbing up the wall where Sindy's room was. The man did his best to take pictures of the mark next to the window. After that he went to the security room to check the cameras. Finding the right footage took a while but he was able to find the right one. The footage was dark and a bit fuzzy but he was able to see the form climbing the wall. No human can do that and its eyes were glowing.

"So Sindy is the next victim." Richard said

They were in Kagomes' office with the door closed. Kagome had watching the security camera from her laptop as Richard told her what he found.

"Sindys' father said that her mother was on a business trip and should have been back by now." Kagome said

"I'll see what I can find the mother's location." Richard said "How long do you think you can keep Sindy here?"

"Not long. We were able to find what she has. I can probably keep her here for another day or two for her medication to set well." Kagome said "I'll try to keep an eye on her afterwards."

"What about the dad? You said the hag likes to use their magic on them to do their bidding." He asked

"Not as long as he's here. I put a shield around this building so her magic won't work." She said

Seeing that they didn't have much time Richard hurried off to do his job.

A day had passed and Sindy was discharged from the hospital. There was nothing more that Kagome could do so she gave Sindy her number. She told the little girl if she just needed to talk to someone she can call her anytime. It was the only thing she could do for now as she still had to at work.

Sindy didn't want to leave the hospital as she felt something bad was gonna happen. She kept Kagome's phone number tight in her hand before placing it in one of the pockets of her doll dress. When they got to the house Sindy noticed that the flowers and plants in the yard were completely aroma of hot food hit their nostrils when they got to the door. This was weird to Sindy as her dad was the only one that knew how to cook. When they entered the house there was humming. It sounded like a woman humming. Sindy didn't understand as she thought her mom was still gone. They made it to the dining room and Sindy saw her mom placing her favorite meals on the table. The woman had greeted them with a smile but there was something not right about it. Her smile didn't reach her eyes. Her eyes were cold and Sindy swore she saw them glow for a second.

"Welcome home Sindy."

Sindy couldn't help but clutched onto her doll and sucked on her thumb. She hasn't done it since she was 5 but it used to be her way to calm down.

By the time Kagome was off the sun was about to set. Just as she was about to get in her car her phone started to ring. It was an unknown number. She normally wouldn't answer unknown numbers but something tells her this one was important.

"Hello?" She answered

No one spoke.

"Hello?" She said again.

Silents again before it hangs up.

She was gonna call again but a text was sent to her.

'Ms. Kagome HELP! Something is wrong with mommy!'

Kagome knew this was Sindy and she had to hurry. She quickly got in the car and drove off not knowing that Hannibal was following her. She was a thirty minute drive to Sindys' house so she quickly called Richard from her car phone.

"Kagome…what's wrong?" He asked

"Richard…it's happening now. The hag has possessed Sindys' mom." She said

"Shit." He cursed

"I'm only twenty minutes away from her house…how about you?" She asked

"Damn it. I'm about an hour away." He said

There was a pause and he knew what she was thinking.

"Kagome…don't go there by yourself." He said

"I'm sorry, Richard…but I have to. I'm not gonna let this bitch take another child." She said before hanging up.

In Sindys' house the little girl was doing her best to stay quiet as she hid in one bedroom closets. After dinner her mother kept acting stranger and stranger each moment. Her arm and leg kept twitching and parts of her body had strange black patches on her. It was as if she was rotting. She tried calling Kagome when she was pretending to get ready for bed but was unable to speak. Sindy tried really hard to say anything but couldn't so she quickly texted her doctor for help. After that she placed some pillows under her blankets and started hiding.

The hag-witch knew she needed to feed now. She had sensed the holy woman near-by so she didn't have much time. Not wanting to deal with any interruptions she first took care of the male of the house. He was in the living room sitting down watching t.v. With silent footsteps she walked behind him. She stood there watching him with dual eyes and neck cracking her head once before snapping his neck with fast speed. With him dead she looked around for Sindy. She headed upstairs towards the little girls room but growled when she saw that she wasn't there. In anger she flipped over the bed and tore the room up. Growling and hissing for the girl to come out of hiding. When there was no answer the Hag stomped out of the room and checked the master room. She tore through every inch of the room. She only stopped when car lights were seen and stopped in by the house. The scent of the holy being made the Hag let out a demonic hissed in frustration.

Kagome got out of her car and looked up at one of the windows of the house. She knew the Hag-Skin witch hadn't gotten Sindy but knew it was close to finding her. She Kagome had tried the front door but it was locked. So she tried looking for another way in. Looking through one of the windows she saw Sindys' father lying dead on the couch with his neck snapped. When she got to the backyard she still couldn't find a way in. A part of her was thinking of breaking one of the windows. But she didn't have to as the Hag broke threw herself out the window. She hissed at Kagome before going on beast mode and tried to tackle her.

Kagome was quick though and was able to step aside and grabbed her knife from her right boot. The Hag got on all fours and started circling Kagome, trying to find her blind spot. Kagome got into a defense stance and kept her eyes on the witch. Sango and Sesshomaru had trained to never let her opponent out of her sight. The Hag tried to attack her from behind but Kagome was quick. She was able to slice the hags arm. The Hag made a screeching noise as the blade was coated with the Priestess holy magic. It left a burning mark on her arm.

The Hag tried to slash at the woman with her claw-like hands and Kagome was able to block a few with defense moves. She managed a few hits on the holy being but so did Kagome. It went on like this for a few minutes till the two were near the pool and the Hag lost her footing. She reached out her hand and grabbed hold of Kagomes' arm. The two ended up in the pool and Kagome lost grip of the knife. Seeing that she was disarmed, the hag tried to drown Kagome. It tried choking her in the water but Kagome managed to give her front kick to the hags chest. This got her free and swam to the surface. Once she was able to breath she swam to the edge and tried to get out of the pool. The Hag swam quickly towards and jammed her claws into her, piercing her from the side. It tried to drag her back in the pool but the sound of a gun shot was heard. The shot hit the creature in the shoulder and landed her back in the pool.

It was Will that made that shot. Richard had called him and Jack for backup as he was still about 15 minutes away. They heard the scuffle in the backyard and Will was the first to see what was happening and quickly shot the woman. He ran over towards Kagome and helped her out of the pool.

"Where…Where's Sindy? Did…did you find Sindy?" She asked

"The others are looking for her. Just save your breath." Will said

He took off his jacket and tried to seal the stomach wound with it. That was till he was torn away from her and tossed to the side. When he looked up his eyes widened at the disgusting sight of Sindys' mother. The flesh of her skin looked like it was decaying, the knife marks looked like it was poisoning her and her eyes were dead white.

The Hag stomped towards Kagome and tried to kill her but Jack showed up and shot it. His gunshot hit her straight in the head but that didn't keep it down. The hag let out a frustrated roar and charged at Jack. He continued shooting at it but slowed it down. But the creature stopped in its tracks when she felt one particular bullet. It felt different than the others. And it didn't come from Jack's gun.

Kagome had picked up the gun that Will dropped and poured her miko powers into it. The holy bullet hit the creature straight in the heart. The Hag dropped to her knees and pulled her head back as her body flashed a bit of light. Black lines started to form around her body as she dropped to the ground and ash came out of her mouth. Once Kagome was sure that the witch was dead she dropped the gun and lay back on the ground putting pressure on her wound. Will got up and hurried towards her while Jack carefully walked towards the hag and made sure it was dead. He thought he saw a lot of scary things but this was a new level.

"Jack! We found the kid!" Kat called on the walkie-talkie.

Kagome heard that and let out a sigh of relief. Knowing that the child was safe she knew that she could relax. Once she did, everything went black.

It was an annoying beeping noise that started waking Kagome up. Thinking it was her alarm clock she tried to lift up her arm to turn it off but her arm felt weird. It felt heavy. This made her try opening her eyes but it took a while. When she did her eyesight was a bit blurry but after blinking a bit she saw that she was in a hospital room. She was confused as to why she was there until she remembered what happened that night. Kagome looked to the side and saw her mother sleeping on one chair.

"Mama?" She whispered

Her voice was a bit hoarse but it still woke Sara. She stood up from her seat and hurried to her daughter's side. Kagome tried to speak again but it was still dry and Sara saw this and helped her with a cup of water.

"How long have I been here?" Kagome asked

"About two weeks. You went into a coma from the amount of blood loss." Sara said, sitting by her side. "Your friends Jill and Richard called Souta and I. We booked the next flight to america that night."

"But you're afraid of flying." Kagome said

"One of my babies was hurt. Any mother would risk anything for her children." Sara smiled

"Where's Souta?" Kagome asked

"He was thirsty so he went to find the vending machine." Sara said

When the doctors came in to check on Kagome, Souta arrived with his soda and a cup of coffee for their mother. So far everything looked fine and her wounds were healing quicker than they expected. They just want to do a few tests and she may be able to leave tomorrow.

"How's Bear doing?" Kagome asked

"Missing you like crazy." Souta said "He keeps standing by the door waiting for you to come home. We would have brought him here but…hospital policy."

"We also had the pleasure of meeting Will Graham and Hannibal Lecter. They come by to visit you alot." Sara said

"Especially that Lecter character." Souta said "He brings in new flowers almost every day."

He gestured to the table that was filled with Get Well cards, gift baskets or flowers from her friends and co-workers. On the table was a beautiful bouquet of Lilies.

"They've been worried about you. Both would come every day to see how you are." Sara said

"Not to mention a few other FBI agents. Like that Jack Crawford fella." Souta said

"He and Will just witnessed their first encounter with the supernatural." Kagome said "I'm sure they have a lot of questions when they hear that I'm awake."

A knock on the door was heard and it was Hannibal. Kagomes' eyes widened a bit at the sight of him. He had a few cuts and bruises on his face and when he entered the room she noticed a limp to his leg. Sensing that he wanted to speak to her, Kagome asked her mom and brother to get some rest. They've been with her all day and she knew they needed some good sleep. Her mom didn't want to leave but Kagome promised to ring her if something is wrong. Besides, she knew Hannibal wouldn't be her only visitor. It took some time but Sara agreed and took Souta back to Kagomes' apartment.

"Dr. Lecter, what happened to you?" She asked

"A patient of mine was attacked yesterday. Once the attacker killed him he came after me." He said

"I'm sorry that happened. But…shouldn't you be resting then?" She asked

"I wanted to see how you were. And I am glad that I did." He said "I was worried about you."

"I've been through worse." Kagome said "Do you know anything about Sindy?"

"She is fine. From what Richard and Will told me she is going to be living with her fathers' sister. She and her husband will take good care of her." Hannibal said

Kagome closed her eyes and let out a sigh of relief. Much to Hannibal's distaste they were interrupted as Richard and Jill arrived with their kids. Their daughter gave her a cute stuffed bear that had bandages on its head and a shirt that says' `Get Well Soon'. Then their son handed her a container of cookies.

"The kids help me with the cookies." Jill smiled

"Aw, thank you guys." Kagome said

She gave the kids a hug before opening the container. Inside there a few of her favorites: Chocolate chip, Macaroons, and Peanut Butter.

"We had to remake a few because Tony ate one of the batches." Their daughter Lilly said

"I did not." Tony glared

The two started playfully pushing each other and blamed one another for eating the cookies till Richard put a stop to it. Kagome just laughed before offering some of the cookies to the kids.

"I have some news about Jacob Buller. He's being release from the institution." He said "I was able to clear his record."

"What about his living situation?" Kagome asked

"His grandparents that's been in touch are gonna take him in." He said "They are the ones that gave you that wine gift basket."

He pointed towards the basket that had about six fine wines with fancy fruit and crackers.

After they left Rogar and Carl came by a few minutes later. Rogar showed her the article he wrote about the victims of the slip-skin hag. He didn't mention the witch but says that it was done by a cult that believed in the Hag. In the article she saw that he had mentioned her as Richard's partner but didn't use her name. She was thankful for that as she didn't want people to think of her as some fake medium looking to scam people. What made her smile was that the city was gonna make a memorial for the children.

Later on, Jack and Will had appeared. Everyone but Hannibal had left so it was just the four of them.

"We open up the body of Mrs. Cooper. There was nothing inside of her. No bones. No organs. It was completely hollowed out. Nothing but ashes inside." Jack said

Kagome knew that Jack would be still in denial about what happened that night.

"You shot her in the head, Jack…and she still kept on walking. How do you explain that?" Kagome asked

Jack knew he couldn't. No one on his team could explain.

"I can't. But that just leaves another question." He said and looked at her. "Was she the last one?"

"I'm sorry, but I can't say if she is. Supernatural creatures are great at blending in with us." Kagome said

She knew that isn't what he wanted to hear but it was the truth. There were just as many creatures and demons in the world as there are humans. There are times their kills are believed to be the work of human killers. Then there are times that innocene humans get blamed for their crimes.

Near night Kagomes' mother came back with dinner that she made. Kagome was glad for that as she wasn't a fan with hospital food. For tonight she had made Katsu Curry Don, one of Kagome favorite dishes. After dinner Sara decided to stay the night as she didn't want to leave Kagome alone. She didn't blame her as Freddie Lounds kept trying to come in her room twice today. Even when she was in coma that woman kept trying to get a picture or an interview with Sara or Souta. Luckily no one let her in, talked to her and the curtains wheres always closed. Around midnight Sara was asleep on one of the chairs Kagome was still up watching t.v. She was nearly falling asleep till sense a familiar ghostily arua. Kagome looked up and saw that was Emilys' spirit. She smiled as the little girl was dressed flowery pink dress.

"Hello Emily." Kagome smiled

"Hello Kagome. Do you like my new dress?" Emily asked, twriling around to show off the dress. "My big sister picked it out for me for my burial."

"It's really pretty Emily." Kagome said

Looking to the side she was a Reaper waiting for the child spirt. Emily saw her and went to hug Kagome.

"I'm gonna miss you and Bear." She said "And thank you. Thank you for helping me. Now I can rest in peace and see mommy."

"I gonna miss you too, Emily." Kagome said

Emily walked back to the Reaper and took her hand. She looked back Kagome and wave good-bye before disappearing to the afterlife.
