Gate at the Forgotten Temple
Things had gotten very complicated.
It was assumed the Gate would be an easy crossing point between timelines for a good while, but that was no longer the case.
It was effectively blocked. Worse, the Sages and Champions had been stranded on the opposite sides to where they belonged, along with both Links and a few others.
Terrako, the key to all of this, had vanished without a trace.
The most they could seem to do was communicate through the Gate. Fortunately, they had some already-motivated researchers checking for any answers.
On the Post-Upheaval side, Both Purahs were heavily examining the Gate, both outside and using a small toolkit to check the spells and tech within. RobbieC was also involved, not noticing his older counterpart lurking in the corner, keen to observe but still not wanting to be seen... as his son stood behind him gripping his forehead in embarrassment.
On the Post-Calamity side was Josha and Tauro. Josha had learned plenty on her own, but for this still needed a few instructions from her mentor on the other side. Tauro wasn't really a tech guy, but his knowledge of Zonai writing (which the new door was rife with) was proving invaluable.
The others on the Post-Calamity side were Tulin, SidonU, and Yunobo.
Paya had hurried back to Castle Town to check on the flash she had seen, currently finding the Castle in a panic that the King had disappeared.
ZeldaC had stayed behind in the Castle, and was busy keeping order, with LinkU already rushing back to report on what happened to Daruk.
Riju was in a situation of her own with her ancestors.
It was 15 minutes until a discovery was finally made. A panel had projected on both sides.
"Princess... from what Tauro there can translate, it seems the key to crossing is you... kind of." PurahU had turned to inform her, "If you place your hand here, you can allow people to pass through... but there are some crazy restrictions..."
As she explained, they had found the following conditions for operating the Gate:
-To operate the Gate, both Zeldas needed to be present, one on each side.
-After each use, the Gate had a "Cooldown Time" that would become greater the more people passed through.
-As per the first activation, the first Cooldown time was exactly 24 hours (now less, a bit more than 23)
-The task with smallest possible cost and the least Cooldown was for the Zeldas to switch sides.
"It has so many arbitrary rules... Whatever this 'Terrako' wanted to achieve, this seems like a lot." PurahU sighed.
"It's always been a peculiar one, but it was never this actively harmful before. My hypothesis is its upgrade to a Construct... or 'Regression' may be more accurate... made it aware of this timeline and screwed up its priorities. It always put our Princess' wants and needs first... now it sees itself serving two, and wanting to serve both." PurahC posited.
In work mode, neither Purah seemed to care that they were engaged in a discussion with themselves, their minds fully invested in unraveling the mysteries before them.
"Interesting idea... wait..." PurahU got a sudden idea, "Princess..." She motioned her and ImpaU to follow her to a nearby corner.
In private, she whispered, "You said you were hoping to keep the Upheaval under wraps from our past pals here... I'm going to advise you give up on that."
"Why?"
ZeldaU had brought PurahU and ImpaU up to speed before allowing her to work on the door.
"I think Terrako found out. You said it was interested in the Purah Pad at one point, and if it truly was a Construct... those things have a particular method of accessing data. I haven't encrypted Linky's Purah Pad against that, since there wasn't a need... but it probably found out everything." PurahU had certainly deduced a lot from the information she had.
"It... it knew?!" ZeldaU berated herself for such carelessness. She herself was studying deeper into Zonai Technology, and should have noticed.
"If we're going that far, I noticed LinkyC and the others having a discussion of their own while you were filling me in earlier..."
Earlier, as ZeldaU was explaining the situation to the Shiekah of her time, LinkC had called together the Champions, ImpaC and King Rhoam.
He thought to tell them his intentions while he had the chance.
"Sorry to break you away from some no-doubt interesting conversations, but this is important." He apologized.
"It's quite alright. You have been acting strangely since we left. I have much of the information I need regardless." Mipha assured him, though the last phrase made him sigh inwardly. I'll try my best to keep her from going too far, SidonC...
He had pretty much figured out the "Information" Mipha obtained, and her intentions.
"Is this about those rocks? You've been looking at them like a Goron might a new rock roast." Daruk stated his observation.
"Yeah. I noticed their amplifier effect during the ambush, but before that how they seem to specifically go to inheritors of you guys." LinkC began, "Plus, they didn't have those last time we saw them, and from what I gather the Calamity had already been sealed for them when they first visited us."
"I think I see where you are going with this..." Revali rubbed his chin, "There must have been another threat... one that required such power be obtained. Power that made them 'Sages'"
"Not only that... Terrako had noted that outside this Temple, it saw this land altered somehow by an event separate from the Calamity. Whatever happened, they all seem secretive about it for some reason..." LinkC continued, "I know we fought together, and I hate to go behind their backs... but we need to find out what happened."
"Are you sure? As you said, they are our allies. Perhaps they had good reason to be secretive?" Urbosa felt it necessary to ask. After all, this secrecy seemed to be on ZeldaU's orders. She seemed to have gone through much, but Urbosa saw no changes that indicated she had grown duplicitous or ill-natured.
"I know... but my instincts are telling me to investigate. We shouldn't be too brazen about it... but see what we can pick up."
He was proposing a clandestine investigation, but that was about to become unnecessary.
"I couldn't pick up everything, but they can clearly tell you are hiding something from them. They'll already notice a lot once we head outside, and only grow suspicious if you try to keep them here."
"Yes... but..." ZeldaU was still hesitant.
"I understand your desire. Princess." ImpaU interrupted, "But if you tell them your grievances honestly, perhaps you can find a solution together. One you can all be happy with. I'm sure they wish to avoid that fate for their Princess as much as you would."
"Not like avoiding it so fervently would be practical anyway. We still need to report to Lookout Landing, and they might notice that little attraction certain enthusiasts have erected in town. Might as well use it to explain things." PurahU urged.
"...Very well. I apologize for my hesitation."
"We get it. We really do." PurahU assured her, "But before we do address that, we need to instruct our contacts on the other side how to proceed."
ZeldaU paused, and took a deep breath. These two did have their quirks, but their differing natures had granted her a better perspective.
She had been so focused on the trauma she experienced in the Upheaval, keeping her other self ignorant as a kindness, that she forgot that her old friends would likely wish to avoid it just as fervently. They were, after all, now in a safe place to discuss it.
"Thank you. Purah. Impa. I think I've cleared my head a little... let's gather everyone at the Gate."
"Josha, I want you to stay at the Gate. PurahU and RobbieU will be here on this side to assist." ZeldaU gave her first order.
Currently, everyone from both parties was listening. Which also meant...
"Huh? I thought ya said I didn't need to answer to you...?"
"She means the wrinkled old man in the corner, dingus." PurahC corrected her oblivious colleague.
She had long noticed RobbieU and could tell from the hair and behavior who he was.
"GAH!" Both Robbies' eyes finally met.
"Wha.. N...NOOOO! I'm short!" The reaction was as expected. One screamed, one frozen in shame.
"I honestly can't deal with this drama on my own... even with another me." PurahC gripped her forehead, "I'll help, but someone else is to be in charge of... whatever this is."
She then noticed the engineer behind RobbieU.
"You! Stay here and be in charge of that old coot! You, the one who looks ready to die of secondhand embarrassment!"
"Please... I'd rather not..." Granteson looked pleadingly at ZeldaU.
"Apologies... bear with it. You... might learn something?" Getting PurahC on board was essential, so ZeldaU agreed, trying to assuage Granteson.
She knew he didn't really hate his father, but being the son of Robbie, with all his eccentricities and lack of social awareness, must never have been easy.
It was important to move on quickly, though.
She then turned to the rest of them.
"The rest of us will accompany our guests to Castle Town, then regroup at Lookout Landing. We shall discuss further plans on the way. That said..." She looked at her friends from the Post-Calamity future apologetically, "For now, we need to keep the fact that you are here a secret. I ask that you disguise yourselves until we can figure out how to approach this."
Having important people go missing had caused enough unrest, and she knew their appearance in the Post-Calamity time had caused the kind of stir she would rather avoid here.
Hyrule was healing at a rapid rate, but it still lacked the manpower and organization it had before. If they could avoid further unrest, it was best to do so.
For this, she turned to ImpaU, who nodded knowingly, then handed out small coins to the four champions.
"These were made recently, but are currently a rare commodity. It can alter your appearance well enough, though nothing too drastic. They last until you deactivate them, but then need to be taken to a technician to use again."
It was a coin that put the transformation techniques of the Shiekah and Yiga into a Zonai Charged amulet, called the Camo Coin. Made by RobbieU as a fun side project, never seriously thought to be utilized so soon. There were 6 prototypes, and 5 were being given to the Champions and King. ImpaC and Ertis were capable of transformation the traditional way.
King Rhoam turned it down, however, showing himself capable of appearing as a normal old hermit. A form that LinkU would have found shockingly familiar.
The Champions curiously activated their coins, assuming the forms of completely different people of their own race. Their weapons remained unchanged, though. They agreed to let Teba store them in his Purah Pad as they took more common forms of preferred weapons, though they did notice something odd about them.
"What kinda Cobble Crusher is this?" Daruk muttered.
"I made that for my dad! I fuseded it with a Ruby!" Darvil announced proudly.
Aside from Revali's Falcon Bow, each one was a fused weapon.
Mipha's Zora Spear had an Ice-Breath Lizalfos Horn fused to it, making it an Ice-Breath Lizal Spear. Urbosa's Gerudo Scimitar was fused with a Gleeok Thunder Horn, a Thunder Gleeok Reaper. Finally, as mentioned, Daruk's Cobble Crusher was fused into a Ruby Crusher.
(Darvil claimed to have made the weapon, but really he picked out the material and had Slergo do it. He wasn't old enough to learn Fuse yet)
ZeldaU then turned to the Gate, addressing her friends behind it.
"I need you to head back to the Castle and inform the Zelda there of the situation, tell her to meet us here at the time the Cooldown ends, and have a search put out for Terrako. We shall do the same on our end. LinkU will likely be there as well. I want you to assure him we have things under control, and have him resume his trek to Hateno." That last order was personal. She didn't want LinkU to miss this chance to see the family he always regretted leaving behind, "Offer your services to assist with the current monster outbreak over there, and relay these orders to Paya, Tauro and Riju."
The three Sages nodded affirmatively. They also had favors to ask, however, but needed to know what they could say, and it reflected in their faces. ZeldaU noticed.
"Say what you wish at this point. I don't intend to hide anything anymore." She assured them, her face reflecting that new resolve as she looked over her shoulder at them, "I apologize for any deceit, but when we reach Castle Town, I intend to tell you everything. In doing so, I ask for your help. For the good of your own future, as well as my other self."
"Huh?!" LinkC couldn't help it. He had intended to find out by any means necessary, but now he was just going to be told. It was actually more of a relief, but the way she put it not only confirmed his suspicion that this secret affected his own Hyrule, but hinted that ZeldaC might be in danger.
ZeldaU had an additional request.
"Tell Riju I will have Buliara assume command of Gerudo Town for the time being, and if she wishes for a different arrangement to head to this Gate to have me notified. I would also like Paya's opinion on the command of the Shiekah in her absence. For now, they will continue investigating the Depths, but I think Paya should be given first priority for return so she can resume command. How would the rest of you like your homes handled?"
"My prolonged absence may cause some concern, but I ask you keep the people assuaged and assured. I know you can." SidonU spoke not to ZeldaU, but to Yona, "Tidon's safe return should quell the anxiety a fair bit. Also, I know the Princess wishes for discretion, but please ensure my sister receives the utmost hospitality."
They would need spend time in Castle Town first, but SidonU was factoring in the unkown amount of time she would need to stay due to the Gate's new limitations.
"I understand, dear. Don't worry, I already have a viable reason worked out for her stay at the palace." Yona assured him. She was as capable a Queen as ever.
"Sorry to do this, Darv, but I need to stay here a while..." Yunobo addressed his son, "But I told you I'd bring you something cool, right? That's our ancestor, the Champion Daruk! The one from all the legends! He's great to be around... you don't mind helping watch him, do you, Daruk?" He suddenly realized he might be being inconsiderate.
"Hah! I don't mind at all! I'm a bit worried about my own kid back home, though. You seemed awkward around him last time for some reason, so can you let my buddy Byron know to handle him?" Byron was actually the father of Bludo.
"Yeah... actually... uh... if ya don't mind..." Yunobo suddenly seemed tense, struggling with words before taking a deep breath, "While I'm gone, my house will actually be vacant, and not just anybody can stay there. It might get attention if you go there pretending to be an ordinary Goron so... you need to stay with my Dad."
"You hesitated there... why?"
"Uh..."
"Dad doesn't really like visiting Grandpa." Darvil butted in, "Not sure why, Grandpa Rupon is nice and funny!"
"Ah!" That little of a generation gap? Daruk was reminded how much a Goron's life meant in a century. Still... "Something I should know about? What's Rupon like now?" Something seemed off.
"It's... complicated. Anyway! Slergo! Offrak! You can help Daruk find the place, right?" Yunobo addressed his starstruck employees.
"Huh? Oh! Yeah! It'd be an honor!" Offrak snapped out of his stupor.
"We'll put our all into this! Count on us, sir!" Slergo was also enthusiastic.
"Tell the Brigade what's going on. Can you tell them about Master Revali too?" Tulin asked of his father, "They know better than to leak secrets."
"That would depend on what he wants, you know..." Teba reminded Tulin.
"Honestly, this whole disguise ordeal is your Princess' request. I see no reason to hide if I don't need to." Revali shrugged nonchalantly.
"Cool! Tell Gyas he's in charge while I'm gone. My order, in case Skiy has anything to say about it."
In the chain of command of the Gale Brigade, Tulin was the "Captain" at the top, with three Lieutenants directly beneath him. Gyas and Skiy were two of them, the third being a female Rito named Dofi. Each led their own division, with two direct subordinates, Sergeants, each for themselves.
"I'll let them know. I'm also going to request some priority for your return." Teba told him.
Tulin was one of those who initially disappeared. While information to his whereabouts would certainly help, the Gate was currently a secret, so he could only really assure the Village of his safety.
Plus, Saki would continue to worry until her son was home, even though he himself now lived in his own barracks that had been constructed near the Flight Range.
With everything arranged, it came time to depart.
"Lucky for you, I already arranged your transportation back to Lookout Landing." PurahU told ZeldaU, "LinkyC, everyone... try not to be too surprised."
It was a cryptic statement to them that was immediately made clear when they exited the Temple.
Several Sheikah and Hylians with clearance were there to greet them... with a strange contraption that was apparently a vehicle.
A large square metal platform with guard rails large enough for about 25 people. Attached to it's 4 corners were Air Balloons with Flame Emitters in their baskets (not fully attached, as they were to be separately activated if the normal kindling became unusable).
3 Fans were attached to each side. The underside of the platform had various batteries attached to keep it running long enough to reach most any destination. Bench-like seats were arranged facing the exterior, 5 rows each facing the 4 directions.
There was a steering stick in the center of the platform, where the intended pilot stood at the ready. Unlike the rest of the staff, this was a Rito.
Specifically a Rito named Yerast, who had been appointed pilot of this and a few other official airships.
He was between the ages of Revali and Teba, slightly older than the midpoint. His feathers were a reddish brown, and he wore a green scarf with pilot goggles on his forehead.
"Princess! I see you have returned safely" He saluted her, "As per Lady Purah's request, we are to escort you back to HQ ASAP!" He spoke rather loudly as his default tone, "We hear these are VIPs from the other side! As per orders, no further questions shall be asked about them!"
They boarded, said "VIPs" taking their seats as they looked around in wonder, along with the rest.
"Our own Little Bird would be green with envy if she heard about what we are seeing here..." Urbosa noted with a smile.
"This kind of thing would get her excited..." LinkC agreed in a deliberately low voice.
To save on Camo Coins, it was decided LinkC would try to pass himself off as LinkU during his stay here. He was younger, but for Hylians in a certain age range the changes were so subtle one would need to be both physically close and familiar in order to notice.
Though he had agreed not to inquire about the guests, Yerast approached Teba with something else.
"I noticed the Zora tyke is home safe, but what about your boy, Boss? Any news on that?"
"We know he is safe and where he is. He should be returning in another day or two." Teba assured him.
"Good. My own kid would really appreciate it. Gale Brigade's been very tense since their Cap disappeared."
Yerast was a father of 2 boys, ages 14 and 5 (Rito equivalent). His oldest was a relatively fresh recruit in the Gale Brigade, giving Yerast some insight into their current morale through his talk at home.
The Zonai Vehicle took off. The trip over was carried out in relative silence. The residents of the Post-Calamity future were finding more questions in need of answering, though. The sky itself seemed to bring that up.
"Islands? Up here?" Revali had always known a sky obscured by many more clouds than this, so he could imagine them hidden within... but only now that he was seeing it.
LinkC found himself sighing. ZeldaC would have loved to witness all this. She would probably be eager to see this side of the Gate just from the glimpses they'd gotten already.
"You and I seem to be thinking the same thing." Urbosa whispered next to him, "Though it seems to grant that would require this ZeldaU to switch with her. I don't think your other self would mind that, though."
"You think he doesn't trust me?" LinkC whispered back.
"Perhaps, but not what I meant..." Urbosa was smiling playfully, remembering what she saw when LinkU and ZeldaU were reunited.
Before long, Castle Town came into view, looking vastly different than any of them remembered...
Castle Town, Lookout Landing
ZeldaU led them to the arrival point at a strange fortress-looking place called "Lookout Landing"
When they first arrived, she had to briefly consult with her own subordinates. They were relieved to see her safe, and also needed her orders on a few matters as well as approval on proposals.
LinkC had needed to accompany her to the private briefing. Apparently LinkU accompanied her even to things like this. They were hoping to prevent suspicion.
Not that it was easy...
"Link seems a little off, doesn't he?" Hoz, the knight captain, asked. He apparently noticed something, but hadn't identified it, "Did something happen? Where did you end up, anyway?"
"It's nothing to worry about. It was an area around the Forgotten Temple." ZeldaU assured him.
That was at the beginning. After business was wrapped up, the assistant Mayor of Hateno, Cece (standing out with an outrageous new hat design) dropped a bombshell on LinkC.
"The poor guy was so frantic, when you disappeared, but seems oddly distant now..." LinkC was, as far as he was aware, behaving the way he usually did on duty, "Did the two of you have a little lover's spat?"
?! LinkC came closer than he ever had in his life to losing his composure hearing that.
"Cece, please!" Reede complained to his aide, "I apologize, Princess. Your personal matters aren't the concern right now."
"C'mon, Reede! The two of them are also residents of Hateno! If there is trouble in their little love nest..."
ZeldaU cleared her throat, well aware of how LinkC would react to the conversation, "I appreciate the concern, but Link is merely tired. You understand, right?"
"Ah! I see! Certainly sounds like him!" Cece nodded.
The meeting dispersed, and ZeldaU seemed to avoid LinkC's gaze. In her mind, she had no business messing with her other self's personal life. It would likely develop on its own... of that she was positive.
They exited to meet with the others, who had been waiting in the underground shelter.
"You seem to have taken well to ruling." Rhoam commented.
"It's hardly comparable. Despite how things look here, our population is smaller. The people are currently united by a common goal to reach the prosperity of old."
"Do not take yourself so lightly. Not just anyone can lead people in such a vast land even with what you see as handicaps, Princess." Mipha assured her.
It was currently just the guests from the Post-Calamity there with her. The others had gone to different parts of town, preparing to return to their own regions.
The Champions had asked to go with them, and they responded.
"We intend to take you. But you wanted to know those secrets, correct? Before we depart, Zelda intends to explain. Meet us afterwards." Was the summary of each response.
"So... you gonna explain like ya said?" Daruk asked.
"Yes, but not here. There is a place in the Southern District built by a small, passionate group of volunteers that would actually serve better. Please, follow me."
Castle Town, Southern District
Before long, they stood before a large building. Unlike the houses and businesses around it, it was in a complete, polished state.
Out of every building in the area, this one had been completely funded and worked on by its owners, with only minimal help from Hudson Construction, who was currently spread with projects all over the kingdom.
This was the "Ganondorf Museum (Working Name)", a tribute to battles fought against the infamous Demon King and its Calamities.
There were three sets of Statues adorning the entrance.
There was one of themselves, in a group pose looking very heroic with Link and Zelda. It was labeled "The Champions of the Calamity", and had the year of the Calamity inscribed on it, with their names listed.
Mipha blushed, Urbosa chuckled, Revali had a wide grin, and Daruk let out a hearty guffaw.
"Geez! Pile on the flattery, why don't ya? Pretty sure I've got more meat on me than that!" He joked.
The statue in the middle was of the Sages. Tulin, SidonU, Riju, Yunobo and LinkU stood looking battle ready with an additional figure they didn't recognize. (The pose they took against the Demon King's Army)
"Hm? That kinda looks like that Battle Construct the Sheikah kid had..." Daruk noticed this.
Revali looked at the names listed under "The Sages of the Upheaval".
"Mineru... that name did come up with Tulin..."
Finally, on the far left, was an assembly of statues they didn't recognize... mostly.
It was listed "The Ancient Sages of the Imprisoning War", the date was that of the era of Hyrule's founding, and the names...
Rauru, Mineru, Naboris, Medoh, Ruta, Rudania... Zelda.
"Rauru, the first King of Hyrule?!" Rhoam kept his voice as low as he could, "And... that Zelda... it can't be coincidence... What is the meaning of this?!"
"The Sage of Time, Zelda." Was her answer, "I, too, have experience traveling through time. Though perhaps a different way... and I was unable to alter what came to pass..." Her tone became melancholy at that last point.
LinkC felt even less like he could know what to expect now.
"Those masks... those names..." Mipha noted.
But ZeldaU merely led them inside, where they were met by a Gerudo scholar, Rotana.
"Princess! What a pleasant surprise!"
"Good day, Rotana! Is anyone else from your Society in?"
Rotana was one such enthusiast behind this museum. Part of a group known as the "Historical Legend Society", they made it their mission to relay the great stories of past and present for future generations.
Other members included Kass the Rito Bard, Dugby the Young Goron, Wortsworth the Hylian historian, and various others. Including skilled artisans and even Zonai tech experts.
"There are a few of us here. We should be ready to open with just a bit more preparation! Give it 6 months, at most!"
"Actually... could I bother you for a preview?" She started pleasant, then got serious, "The full tour isn't necessary, but I insist on the Memory Pool."
"Um... didn't you say not to open that to the public?'
"I did. But this is a special occasion. I wish to show our guests here. Link also agrees."
"Well... they are your memories. If you both are fine with it..."
They were led to a back area that had been roped off, which contained a single set of... pools of water?
It was purely an aesthetic choice by the Legend Society, modeled after the Dragon's Tears in the Geoglyphs. There were multiple because it was intended for multiple people at once.
This was a secret from the public eye, both for the technology and magic involved, and the privacy of Zelda and Link.
Each pool contained various key memories extracted from Link's Purah Pad, much like Terrako had done. It had been trimmed to key points, but together painted a vivid picture of the Imprisoning War and the Upheaval.
From the time Gloom began, to the encounter under the Castle that triggered it all, Zelda's memories through the Dragon's Tears, the gathering of the Sages, the account of Mineru... it would take some time to go through it, and ZeldaU intended to answer any and all questions.
"Each of these allow a single person to see the events as learned and seen by LinkU..." She said, "I will explain anything you may have questions about... but try to save as much as you can for the end."
"Princess... one thing I must ask... Ganondorf. That name..." Urbosa began.
"It is as you believe. The Demon King. Sealed away at great cost during the Imprisoning War. In your own future... he still lies dormant beneath Hyrule Castle. Calamity Ganon is a mere accumulation of his leaking Malice and Power."
"Huh?!" ImpaC voiced what they were all thinking.
Not a single one of them failed to be shocked by this. For them, the war against the Calamity was still fresh in their minds.
The Calamity had brought them to the brink more than once, and they knew Terrako's intervention was why they lived through it at all.
Ganondorf... how powerful was he that the Calamity could be considered his offshoot?
LinkC put his hand towards the pool, the rest following suite. They needed to know... and it began.
POST-CALAMITY FUTURE
Hyrule Castle Sanctum
"I see. So she's going for it..." Paya had just received the report from Yunobo.
ZeldaC and LinkU were there with them. Tulin was going to be filling Riju in, while SidonU immediately went to work monster hunting near Zora's Domain to occupy himself.
"Telling them everything? So you were hiding something from us?" ZeldaC half-demanded.
"Yeah... its honestly hard for me to explain. Could you wait a bit longer?" This was an honest reason from Paya.
"I suppose... you say we have another day before father can return? We will need to manage somehow."
"If I may... could you possibly let me lead some of your Sheikah?" Paya asked, "There are some criminals who were forced to the other side as well, and I have my own subordinates working to track them down..."
"But many of them are still here, correct? I'll see what I can do. Try to see if you can locate Terrako as well."
"That is part of my mission here."
"If it's all the same to you, I'll be going with LinkU." Yunobo stated.
"Very well... I shall accompany you both." ZeldaC responded.
"Wait..." Paya began.
"We have ministers here who could temporarily assume command. If its only a day, it should be fine and I won't be needed."
She honestly needed some time to de-stress herself. She was also curious to see Hateno. She knew it was Link's home, but had personally never been. She also knew that Link hadn't been home in years, even when given the chance.
"I trust there is no issue?"
"No! Is there?" Yunobo turned to LinkU.
"I don't mind. It might even be helpful..."
Does Link have family problems, too? Yunobo wondered.
To be Continued...
