"What up curse? Yeah you mannequin in the middle." Nobara Kugisaki stares down a mannequin in a room full of them.
"Got nothing to say? Alright, your funeral." Nobara said holding two nails and a hammer engraved with a heart at the butt. Imbuing two nails with cursed energy she used her hammers to smash the nails and sent them flying at the mannequin with a clean shot to the head. The mannequin toppled backwards but just as it was about to fall stayed up by using its legs confirming it indeed was a curse. The curse sprouted eyes from the mannequin's head and was attempting to stand back up to fight Nobara. "I'd take those nails out if I were you."
Nobara snapped her fingers as the nails she shot began to sink deeper into the curse and crack its head resulting in an explosion and the curse being vanquished. 'Nailed it' Nobara thought to herself as a smile grew on her face, but it quickly disappeared as a wooden plank fell on the floor that was behind some boxes. But to Nobara's surprise it wasn't a curse, instead it was a small child who had tears in his eyes hugging his knees and was very afraid. He must have snuck in on a dare or wanting to play, either way it was not safe here for him.
Nobara approached the child and kneeled down to his level. "Hey, everything is okay, you're safe now, you can come out."
The little boy shook his head and Nobara felt insulted by that and talked to herself "Well kids usually are afraid of beautiful girls… maybe I'll bring Itadori, Mel would probably scare him."
"Wait! Don't leave me here!" The kid yelled as a hairy curse came through the wall and grabbed the kid by the head, raising him up and giggling at the kid's distress. Nobara was quickly going to expel the curse by shooting more nails but she stopped when she saw the curse hold out its other hand to the boy's neck as a sharp nail threatened to kill the kid right there. This curse had intelligence, it wasn't like anything she'd seen in the countryside and she was starting to panic. This curse wasn't even that strong, only grade 4 or low 3 but it could actually think… and it's taking the kid hostage because it knows that it's not strong, she has to survive… she has to…
"God dammit…" Nobara dropped her tool belt and hammer and raised her hands in surrender, she could only think just how stupid she was for doing this and how she should have taken Melinoe with her instead of leaving her with Itadori. The curse even with the surrender didn't drop the boy, instead giggling to itself even more making Nobara feel even more stupid. "I wish… I could have seen Sayori one last time…"
But as if it was divine intervention a fist slammed through the wall behind the curse surprising both the curse and Nobara as a voice confirmed that fist was from Yuji. "Huh I missed?"
"I told you that wouldn't have worked…" Melinoe's voice came from the other side as the Goddess became intangible and dashed through the wall and set down a cast ring with Descura entangling the curse and preventing it from going anywhere. Itadori then smashed through the wall holding Slaughter Demon as the curse tried to use the boy as a shield only for Itadori with extreme precision cut off the curse's hand that was holding the boy without harming the child. Itadori caught the child as the curse attempted to flee but due to Melinoe's ring it could barely move an inch. Nobara then yelled "Itadori give me that arm!"
Itadori looked to see the severed arm left by the curse and tossed it to Nobara as she pulled out a straw doll from inside her uniform blazer. Melinoe's ring faded as the curse jumped away through the wall to outside as Megumi saw this and was prepared to expel the curse with a Shikigami. "Straw Doll Technique: Resonance!" Nobara shouted as she shot a nail into the straw doll as the curse outside had its body blown up and faded to dust.
Meanwhile Megumi and Gojo were outside seeing this and the blindfolded teacher let out "Good she's plenty crazy."
Nobara was panting as her heart was beating at a million miles per minute during that interaction but thankfully it was over.
"See I told you this is why it's dangerous to go alone and we need to take this seriously!" Yuji shouted at Nobara.
"Except you didn't say anything about it being dangerous to go alone!" Nobara shouted back.
"Huh wait I didn't-"
"You probably shouldn't have-" Melinoe tried to input but was interrupted.
"And what have you been eating that lets you bust through a wall!" Nobara yelled, pointing at the wall.
"So what it wasn't reinforced concrete!"
"Most people can't even punch through concrete to begin with!"
"You really don't think so? Well you've been asking me a ton of questions, but I got one for you, why did you come to Jujutsu Tech?" Yuji asked Nobara.
"You wanna know why? Because The countryside sucked and I always wanted to live in Tokyo!" Nobara said with all her heart as Yuji was shocked to hear that answer while Melinoe tilted her head confused. "This was the only way a poor girl like me could move to the big city." Nobara said, making an innocent face.
"You'd risk your life just to save a few bucks?"
Nobara was silent for a moment when she turned back to the two and said "Yes. I would if it means I can be true to myself."
Melinoe never really thought about exploring the world before, her whole life she had been confined to the underworld in the Crossroads. Only recently in her life was she able to leave for the rest of the underworld and the surface, she only ever wanted to travel to a world where she can be with her family and even now there's not even a found family to go back to. "Oh yeah one last thing, thanks you two. If I had been killed the future wouldn't be nearly as bright, and Mel."
Melinoe looked towards the orange haired girl "Yes Nobara?"
"You still gotta give your phone number some time okay?" Nobara asked the Goddess and put it that way Melinoe could understand what she meant.
"Oh yes I should do that! I should probably give it to you too Yuji, and Fushiguro too." Unfortunately Melinoe still did not understand Nobara's advances. Nobara can only question if she was super sheltered as a kid or if she was just super oblivious. But she's at least getting her number so that's progress.
"Alright I gave you my thanks already so we're now even!" Nobara said with a malicious giggle.
…
The 5 sorcerers escorted the kid they found back to his home as the sun was beginning to set, the child thanked them and ran off back to his parents so mission complete. Melinoe, Yuji, and Nobara were sitting on some steps while Megumi and Gojo took care of the kid as Nobara was tapping her foot impatiently to get out of here and go enjoy Tokyo. She blurted out "Do you know I get in a bad mood when I'm hangry?"
"When are you not in a bad mood?" Yuji said back.
"Hangry?" Melinoe questioned, unaware of the term.
"Y'know when you're hungry and angry?"
"Huh… I'll remember that."
"Hey there!" The three looked to Gojo as he called out to the sorcerers with Megumi by his side. "We made sure the kid got home! Now how about we grab some food?"
Yuji and Nobara stood up and yelled their suggestions.
"A JUICY STEAK!"
"SUSHI!"
"Just leave it all to me! You in Mel?" Gojo asked, pointing to the green haired student.
"If everyone else wishes to eat then I'll gladly join, just as long as I don't have to eat meat or insects." Melinoe agreed to the offer with a smile.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN BUGS DON'T SAY THAT MEL EW EW EW!" Nobara said disgusted by the thought of even having to eat bugs.
Gojo simply laughed at that reply. "Don't worry about having to eat any meat, you coming to Megumi?" Gojo looked at the spikey haired student who didn't respond and was scrolling on his phone. Upon getting no response he just told his students "Alright let's go" Leaving without Megumi who then was surprised they were gonna leave without him.
The 5 walked to a restaurant after a rock paper scissors game led to the group going to get Sushi all the while Nobara and Yuji still bickered with each other. She couldn't pin point it at first but Nobara really started to remind her of Nemesis but only in the ways she interacted with Itadori, even with how cruel she could be sometimes Melinoe did really care about Nemesis even with how harsh Headmistress treated her.
…
Today sure was a busy day, Melinoe certainly could have used a bath but according to Gojo the only one they have here hasn't been cleaned in years. If only she could cast an incantation here because she should have materials to clean it out, taking one of the entrances to the school and getting past the barrier the students along with herself went to go back to their dorm rooms because they were pretty tired after the full day they had and something Yuji called a 'food coma'. Once entering her room Melinoe took off her arm sleeve covering her spectral arm and shoes to let her feet burn the floor where she stepped and she went to go change into her normal clothes to feel more comfortable.
She didn't really have anything to do tonight and she assumes everyone was asleep, no cauldron to cast any incantations, no fishing rod to go fishing with, no fated list of minor prophecies to accomplish, not even a Frinos not confide with, gods best believe she could really use her trusty frog companion by her side right now. She never was still for long, everytime she died and returned home she'd just take a quick nap and then she'd leave for Tartarus soon after. But now all she could do was lay in bed and do nothing, she despised this stillness and could only wish for something to occupy her time.
Maybe she could go travel the campus or something, not like anyone should be awake at this time of night right? The goddess put back on her arm sleeve and stepped outside her room and quietly made her way through the dormroom halls hopefully not waking anyone up, the night on the surface made her steps sound like that of a giant's when nothing was going on. Most of the campus was covered by the trees, unable to give a clear view of the moon and darkening the path. She didn't have any set location in mind; she just needed something to do so she wouldn't drive herself mad.
Melinoe arrived at a large track where the plant life couldn't cover the view of the starry sky and the bright moon, but the moon tonight was never nearly as bright as it was in the sat down on a bench, the only thought in her mind was that of Selene, the Titan of The Moon usually conversed with Melinoe through her offering blessings with the ability to use hexes. While she would sometimes appear in the Crossroads such an occurrence was very rare and only happens a handful of times. She could only hope Selene was doing well, she probably was busy at this time of night so she probably wouldn't respond to Melinoe but the goddess will attempt contact.
Melinoe put her hands together and closed her eyes as she turned her head to the moon "Oh Titaness of the moon, it's Melinoe, thank you for guiding the mortals in this new age. I don't know if you still remember me but I'm sorry I wasn't strong enough to slay Chronos… I'm sorry you had to waste your blessings on me… if you can hear me tell Headmistress I'm sorry and I'll be home soon… death to Chronos sister."
Melinoe was silent for a moment and as she expected, no response. She opened her eyes once again and her face drooped into a frown, what is she supposed to feel at this current moment? Getting sent to an unknown land thousands of years into the future and she's stuck here learning Jujutsu while the status of her family remains unknown. At least before she had Headmistress Hecate, Odysseus, Dora, Schelemeus, Lord Moros, Charon, even Nemesis she saw as an older sibling of sorts, not to mention her family from Olympus giving her their blessings. But what does she have now? Nothing but herself and…
"Yo Melinoe" The goddess was caught off guard by the sudden call out and quickly turned her head behind her to find it was Itadori. The goddess stood up saluting Itadori and gave him a "Moonlight guide you Itadori."
"I don't really know what that means but you too I guess." Itadori hopped the bench and sat down as Melinoe followed, sitting back down. "Sorry, it's a force of habit. It was how I used to greet others back in the crossroads, old habits die hard I suppose. Shouldn't mortals be asleep at this current time? We had a pretty long day today so you should probably be asleep."
"Yeah I should but ever since I ate that first finger my body feels more energized like I don't need to sleep as much y'know. I was gonna go get a midnight snack and I saw the burn tracks you leave behind, so who were you talking to earlier?" Itadori asked as Melinoe felt embarrassed he saw her calling out to Selene with little success.
"O-oh you saw that? Well I was calling out to the Titan of the Moon Selene, she was one of my greatest allies in the fight against Chronos. She offered me powerful hexes that had a variety of effects and I don't know where I would have been without her kindness to help us. Her gaze is as wide as the night sky itself and has displayed only kindness to all she showers in her light."
"She seems cool, I'd love to meet her someday. But you say her gaze is wide, does that mean she can see me when I'm naked inside?" Yuji asked with a hint of worry in his voice.
"Most likely she has, nothing escapes her eyes." Melinoe said as Yuji now made a mental note to keep away from the window when changing.
"But I fear I have betrayed her trust, I not only wasted her blessings with failure, but I left when I was needed most. I was the only one who could slay the Titan and I failed everyone…" Melinoe's frown turned worse, Itadori knew he had to say something and after thinking about it for a minute something did pop in his head.
"No you didn't." Itadori said to Melinoe as her face was a mixture of confusion and surprise.
"Excuse me?"
"It's not your fault that you ended up here y'know, it's Chronos' fault. Even so you tried your hardest to fight and I doubt she'd still hold a grudge after all this time if she really was mad at you. What matters is that you're still here and that means that titan didn't win yet." Yuji said with a smile on his face as he seemed to cheer Melinoe up a little.
"I only wish that I could see the world through your eyes Itadori, I apologize for dumping my troubles onto you. After all we only knew each other for a few days, I suppose it must be the feeling of missing your loved ones."
"Yeah I know what you mean, I miss my gramps even though it's only been a couple of days since he passed." Itadori telling Melinoe that made her remember that time at the hospital where he said he was mourning the loss of him. "I never knew who my mom and dad were so he really was the only family I had. It hurts, yeah but I know he'd yell at me for sulking over his death. Now that I'm saying this, call me crazy but I think we may have something in common."
Itadori didn't even have to say what it was as Melinoe already knew "We are both lost children who have lost their families."
"Kinda crazy I can relate to a goddess if I'm being real." Itadori stood up as Melinoe's head followed him. "My gramps told me to use my strength to protect people, and to die surrounded by people who care about me. I'm pretty sure your folks at home would tell you to protect people too, the last thing I'd want is for their wishes to be in vain so how about we focus on the now?"
Melinoe stood up alongside Itadori and with a smile on her face said "I suppose you have a point Itadori, thank you."
"No problem Melinoe, so you plan on heading to bed soon?"
"Nope."
"Well we can do something to pass the time together, what did you usually do when you weren't making your way to Chronos?" Itadori asked, thinking of a way to make Melinoe more comfortable.
"A multitude of things really, tend to the crops, conjure incantations with the cauldron, catch a fish or two, take a bath, clean up trash from a problematic goddess, or spar with one of the commanders at the crossroads." Melinoe listed with Itadori now a little confused on what he could do.
"Well… I don't think there's a garden here, neither anywhere to fish, and I don't know anything about cauldrons…" Itadori now had the picture in his head of Melinoe in a big pointy witch hat stirring a cauldron like a cartoon witch. "Definitely not take a bath, that'd be weird, and Kugisaki would probably kill me if she ever knew… so how about sparing then?"
"I suppose we can, but are you sure? I don't want to hurt you too much, Itadori?" Melinoe was reluctant as she has had years of combat training with the best the underworld could provide. Not to mention the countless shades and wretches she fought on her way to the House of Hades.
"No worries, I can handle it."
"If you insist."
The two walked down to the track field where there was plenty of space for Itadori and Melinoe to fight each other. Itadori was certainly fast and very athletic, he certainly was physically stronger than the goddess. But he doesn't have any control of cursed energy or has any way of hitting her from range, with Descura she could potentially out range him the whole fight and with cast circles she could slow him down and leave him an open target, she has no blessings or augments she would have on her runs so any hits from Itadori are gonna hurt.
"Itadori, the rules are we fight until someone surrenders, someone passes out, or until we bleed. We go once we touch weapons, any objections?"
Itadori shook his head and put his arms up with his right hand out as he inched towards Melinoe. The goddess likewise shuffled her way toward Itadori with Descura extended out on her sleeved arm. Itadori's fist and Melinoe's staff were inches away from each other as for a moment none of them moved or even breathed. But that would soon end as the two tapped weapons and Itadori immediately went for a leg sweep only to hit nothing but air as he saw Melinoe phase through him and strike him from behind once.
Itadori turned around to chase Melinoe but it felt like his body was traversing mud as he looked down and saw some sort of ghostly arms holding his legs down while he was inside the cast circle. Melinoe took various shots at Itadori with magic blast from Descura which Itadori could only raise his hands to block, the goddess charged up an Omega blast to hit Itadori with but the cast circle disappeared and like lightning Itadori ran out of the way of the shot as it briefly followed him but ultimately missed. Itadori ran towards the goddess with her continuing to fire blasts at him that he was constantly avoiding and Melinoe was continuing to dash backwards away from him but she was nowhere near as fast as him. When he got in her face prepared to hit her right in the stomach she was prepared to phase right through him with a dash and performed it with success and planning to pull the same plan leaving a cast circle where she just dodged.
But to her surprise Itadori jumped back out of the way of the cast circle, predicting the move she would make as he quickly made his way around the circle. Melinoe panicked dashing backwards as Itadori quickly made his way in front of her and right as her brief intangibility vanished she received a nasty hit from Itadori to the stomach sending her off her balance and rolling on the ground away from him.
It was a hard hit for sure but Melinoe could take it, she could tell he was holding back his punch because seeing the strength Itadori has shown in the past she could tell he was stronger than this. Itadori allowed Melinoe to quickly get back on her feet as she flicked her head back to get her hair out of her face and took a fighting stance once more. "Yo Melinoe you good? I hit you pretty bad there."
"I'm neither bleeding or passed out, and I have yet to surrender so let us keep going, Itadori." Itadori nodded and sprinted at her ready to predict a cast circle. And a cast circle Melinoe did summon with a quick tap to the ground as Itadoristopped in front of the circle, but Melinoe changed her strategy and stood inside the circle while keeping out of arms range of the pink haired teen. A glyph came from the staff as with swings of her staff magic attacks shot towards Itadori as he attempted to dodge but was hit either way and it left him open for an Omega attack. Melinoe charged it up and before Itadori could recover a line of magical explosions shot in front of Melinoe and blasted him, sending him tumbling back.
But the goddess' offense was far from over as she got up close to Itadori and using her remaining magic left an Omega cast circle slowing Itadori and preventing escape. Melinoe was free to send attacks from her staff as Itadori could only block and brace for the upcoming explosion as he had nowhere to move. Boom, after the explosion hit Melinoe expected the fight to be over as there's no way he isn't bleeding or out cold. It was at that moment she heard a loud swish from the air as she had merely a moment to move before she was gonna get a hit to the back, Itadori now behind Melinoe sent a punch to her back but nothing as she disappeared and reappeared away from Itadori. But Itadori quickly followed, breaking the ground with blinding speed and uppercut to Melinoe's jaw along with a knee to her body that made the goddess remember her times sparing with Nemesis for a brief moment.
Melinoe was sent into the air for a small moment before landing on her ass, Melinoe rubbed her jaw and instinctively spat to her side as both Itadori and her saw she spat blood. "Guh…blast." Melinoe said as she accepted her defeat and looked back towards Itadori seeing that he was bruised from her attacks but not bleeding.
"Nice job Melinoe, you had me thinking I was gonna pass out from that magic circle thing." Itadori held out his hand to pick her up as she smiled at the goddess. Any frustration she had from the loss was soon wiped away as she held out her sleeved hand for Itadori to pick her up, but by some twist of fate Itadori accidentally pulled her arm sleeve off. The to took a second to notice as Itadori looked at the sleeve and back at her spectral arm, back at the sleeve, and back of the arm, after repeating this sequence a few more times he yelled out of fear and screamed "AHHHHH! I TORE THE SKIN OF YOUR ARM OFF!"
That's what he's worried about?
Melinoe got up on her own and waved her arms to try and calm him down "No no no Itadori it's alright! You didn't take anything off, it's just normally like this!"
"Whoa really? That's cool." Almost instantly his mood switched and he held the arm sleeve out to give back to Melinoe.
"Is that all it takes to convince you I'm fine, you are a strange boy Itadori."
"Says the goddess with a skeleton jelly arm."
Melinoe giggled at that comeback "I suppose I'm not in the right to call you strange."
"So what does it feel like? Can I touch it?"
"You may." Melinoe held her arm out for Itadori. The pink haired teen looked in awe of the ghost arm Melinoe had as he tapped it a few times as it was like touching a wax arm. "So how did you even lose this arm if your comfortable with telling me."
"That's a story for another time, Itadori. But for now let's just say it was for a friend." Melinoe told Itadori as she let out little giggles, having him touch her spectral arm.
After Itadori had enough of playing with her arm he gave her the arm sleeve as she took it and put it away in her magic sack seeing no need to wear it since Itadori already knew her little secret. "That was pretty fun Melinoe, let's hang out more often."
"Agreed Itadori, I certainly feel better than I was feeling before, I apologize if I hurt you too bad."
"Nah, it's cool, I can take it. You ever feel down Melinoe you can always come talk to me, hate to see you in a crummy mood." Itadori gave her a thumbs up before his stomach growled loudly for the both of them to hear. "Oops, I kinda forgot I was hungry. I hope that left over steak is still in the fridge."
"I suppose this is where we part ways?"
"I mean if you want, I was planning to go watch movies the rest of the night. You wanna come with?"
"Movies?" Melinoe asked, raising her eyebrow.
"Have you never seen a movie..?" Itadori asked in a serious tone of voice.
"No, I have never seen any."
"WE HAVE TO WATCH MOVIES, YOU CAN'T LIVE IN THE MODERN DAY IF YOU HAVE NEVER WATCHED A MOVIE BEFORE! WE HAVE TO FIX THIS RIGHT NOW!" Itadori yelled, grabbing her shoulders making Melinoe even more confused. His stomach proceeded to grumble again "Well… once I get something to eat."

Authors Notes
I definitely lazed around on this chapter ngl. Sorry if you don't like a filler chapters, but the next chapter is gonna be cool I promise.
From this point expect more Hades content to be in this crossover. I really hope I don't screw this up lol.
That's about it, here's Jujustroll
…
Back in Itadori's dorm room the two sat on Itadori's bed as he took out his phone and some earphones as he shared one earbud with Melinoe. Picking Melinoe's first movie was hard because there was just so many good ones, Itadori really watched anything but he didn't want Melinoe to have a sour taste in her mouth and not wanna watch movies after her first experience has the chance to be a movie she doesn't like.
Ultimately he decided on one from his childhood, Disney's Hercules. Kinda on the nose since she's a Greek Goddess and all but it was one of his favorites so it was worth a shot.
Playing the movie Itadori was more focused on the reactions of Melinoe for the movie, but the goddess didn't say anything over the course of the movie, she smiled, she laughed, she frowned, and teared up at certain moments.
Once the movie was over Itadori asked Melinoe "So what did you think?"
"Oh I thought it was wonderful Itadori!" Melinoe exclaimed with a smile on her face as in Itadori's head he was pumping his fist. Operation get goddess to like movies was a success. "But I do have some questions about the movie."
"What is it?"
"First of all why is his name Hercules, this is Greece so it should be Heracles. Second, why does my father in this movie want to free the Titans? That's like the last thing anyone would want to do? This movie is pretty inaccurate I mean…" Melinoe went on and on about the inaccuracies in the movie as Itadori looked at her with a blank face as he thought she sounded like one of those angry reviewers on the internet who bash everything. She just kept going on, and on, and on, and on. Mental note never to watch Greek Mythology movies with Melinoe…
