A man yawned as he woke up from his nap as he stood up, "Man, waking up can be quite tiring sometimes," he said as he yawned once again.

The man was not exactly a human, it was more of an elf as his ears were pointy than the average human. He had white hair, amber eyes and an angled jaw. He wore a blue robe with clothing.

He was an elf, beings that were beloved by mana as they had more Magic Power than the average human, but they aren't an evil species. In all actuality they are actually a peaceful species as all they wanted was peace between them and the humans, and that might be the case in a few months.

In fact, it was the day before the wedding of the leader of the elves, Licht, and the sister of the Prince of the Clover Kingdom, Tetia, and he wanted to see how it is going for the young almost married couple.

"Well, I can't sit on my butt and do nothing," he said as he stood up and began walking, "I gotta see how the love birds are going." said the man as he noticed a woman that was near his age and her younger brother carrying a barrel of fruits and vegetables.

Well the woman did, her younger brother balanced it on his head.

"Hey gorgeous, say, how about you and I go on a little picnic?" asked the man as the woman looked at him in disgust.

The woman was a young lady with blond hair, pointy ears with blond hair, green eyes, wearing a silver robe with a white dress. She also had her hair in a ponytail, "I would rather jump off a cliff."

Her younger brother laughed as he had pointy ears, blue hair, short blonde hair with a white wearing a white robe, "Man, Charla you are ruthless as ever. I think that is the 5th guy you rejected like that this week."

Charla looked at her younger brother, "Because most of the guys are disgusting in my eyes. Except for you Lufulu." she said as they began walking away.

"Gee, love you too, sister." said Lufulu as Charla rolled her eyes.

The man looked at the two walking away. He was quiet as he shrugged his shoulders, "Eh, better luck next time." he said as he began walking towards Licht's table.

He did see a few elves along the way, like Lira painting at a piece of paper, waiting to create a masterpiece, Reve sleeping more than him as if that was even possible and then he saw 4 elves and 1 human sitting down on a table.

"Ahh, Raia, it is so good to see you that you made it." said the leader of the elves, Licht as he was sitting next to his almost wife, Tetia, He had yellow hair, a small pony tail, amber eyes, a blue robe and then a white robe.

"It is nice to see you coming for lunch that Licht made," said Tetia as she was a woman with yellow hair as it went down to her hips, as her hair was also braided on the top as she had green eyes, as she wore pinkish white dress wearing a blue jacket as well.

"Hey, Raia, you are late even by your standards, is waking up getting tiring for you?" asked an elf that looked more like a beast than anything, but he looked like the second most peaceful person there, as they were birds around him. He had fur around him, as he had silver hair, a white beard underneath, purple eyes and had one pointy tooth.

A girl with pink hair, pointy ears and green eyes wearing a white robe around her, as she wore sandals looked at the beast, "Ugh, Vetto you are the worst."

Vetto looked at her, "Ahh come on Fana, I am just making a joke." he said with a smile on his face, "I am sure that Raia didn't find it offensive."

"Yeah, don't worry Fana, it is all in good nature." Raia then looked at the only elf that didn't like seeing Licht with Tetia as it was that of a small child with yellow hair, amber eyes, pointy ears and a blue robe, "Ahh, Patri, are you still upset that Licht will be getting married? Well you have only one more day left."

"Shut up." Patri looked at the ground.

Raia chuckled, as Licht looked over to Patri, "Patri, don't be upset over it. I am sure that you will also find love someday."

"Him? Good luck with that."

"Shut up, Raia!"

Vetto then looked at Tetia, "I still can't believe that one day, two half humans and half elves will be born." he said as Licht and Tetia looked at each other and smiled at each other.

"Yes, one day, a link between the humans and elves will be created in the form of our children," said Tetia as Licht placed his hand on her pregnant belly with a smile on his face, "and then the peace between them will finally become reality."

"That's right and I can't wait to be a father. I can't thank you enough Tetia for showing that humans and elves can coexist. I love you." said Licht as Tetia smiled at her almost husband.

"I love you too," she said as the couple kissed. Raia, Fana, Vetto and Patri all felt like the third, fourth, fifth and sixth wheel to a bicycle.

As they departed their lips, Licht asked, "By the way, is your brother coming to our wedding?" he asked.

Tetia shook her head, "I am afraid not as he said that at best he will show up late since he is busy with making another magical item."

"Well, I hope that Lumiere does show up, even if it late." said Licht as Tetia nodded to that.

"Um, I have a question." Licht and Tetia looked at Fana.

"Yes? What is it, Fana?" asked Tetia.

"What are the twins' names going to be?" she asked as Licht and Tetia both looked at each other as they smiled at her.

"Well, one of the names will be-"

"THE PRINCE OF THE SPADE KINGDOM HAS BEEN BORN!" yelled one of the villagers as in the Spade Kingdom as the rest of the civilians of the Spade Kingdom began to celebrate their new prince.

Whenever a heir of the Spade Kingdom has been born, there is a festival going around during the night as they light up a candle in the balloon as they let it go in the sky.

The Spade Kingdom is a peaceful Kingdom and it was much larger than that of the Heart, Clover and Diamond Kingdom, but they never attacked them since they were peaceful. It was a mostly cold Kingdom, but the citizens were nice to each other and it did make up for the fact it was a cold dominated Kingdom.

The Spade Kingdom was ruled over by the House of Grinberryall as the King had Sun Magic while the Queen had Moon Magic, so the child of the two would have something of equal strength of the two, something like Star Magic.

As the festival ended, the King and Queen of the Spade, more specifically Loyce and Ciel Grinberryall, were in their throne room with their baby son in Ciel's lap. They saw the Zogratis siblings all kneeling to their king, but not for long.

"Good work on your mission, you three, especially Zenon." said Loyce as the youngest of the siblings nodded as the boy had dark hair, a star on his forehead, white fur around his coat, a blue coat, wearing a brown vest, brown shoes and black pants.

"Thank you, my King." said Zenon quietly.

"It was a pleasure doing the mission, my King." said the oldest of the Zogratis siblings, Dante, as he had a dark line over his forehead, wearing the same thing as his younger brother.

"I enjoyed defeating our enemies and seeing their reactions as they lost!" said the only sister of the Zogratis siblings, Vanica as she had dark hair, red eyes, a black eye patch and brown leggings while the rest of her outfit was the same as her two brothers.

"That's great to hear that your mission went so well, you three, you must be exhausted." said Ciel as they all looked at the baby in her arms.

"Oh, who is that, my Queen?" asked Dante with interest.

"Him? This is the Prince of The Spade Kingdom and the soon King of this Kingdom." said Ciel as her child almost began to cry, but she managed to calm her son down.

"If I may ask," Loyce and Ciel looked at Zenon, "What is his name?" he asked as the King and Queen all looked at each other, before they smiled at each other.

Loyce turned to Zenon, "Well, his name is Yu-"

"I have to keep lord Yuno safe!" yelled one of the Spade Kingdom's Mage Defense Force Commander in chief as he held the Prince of the Spade Kingdom safe with him as he ran at Grand Magic Zone to get away from the people that betrayed the Spade Kingdom.

As it turns out, Dante, Vanica and Zenon or more known as the Dark Triad all betrayed the Spade Kingdom with even killing Loyce in the process. It all happened so fast that it didn't even register him.

He had to make sure that the Prince was safe so he could make sure that the hope of the Spade Kingdom could remain intact, even if there was just a tiny spark of hope, it will all be worth it to keep Yuno safe.

He didn't care for his life, as long as Yuno was still alive and found shelter, any shelter, it would be worth it for the hope of the Spade Kingdom. Even if he had to leave his son alone.

He gritted his teeth, as he had any mana and stamina left, but it didn't matter to him.

All that mattered was him.

He ran towards the forest, making sure that Yuno was getting hurt in the process.

It heavily drained his life, but he didn't mind that. He had to make sure it was alright. For him.

As when he thought that he had no more mana left, he saw a village up ahead that was named Hage Village and he saw a church.

He smiled.

He took one step, but instantly fell down. It seemed that this was enough. This was his limit.

He looked at Yuno and smiled. "For the hope of The Spade Kingdom, I hope for the safety of you, as you are our only hope, lord Yuno Grinberryall!" he used his Wind Magic around Yuno as he then made the baby float in a carriage.

He used all of his remaining mana to make Yuno float towards the church as when the baby was made sure that it landed safely, he fell down and rested. Knowing that he did a well job securing the safety of the Prince.

But what he didn't see was a woman with gray hair and green eyes carrying a baby in a carriage. The woman looked saddened as she looked at her son, with the name of Asta, as she knew that the boy will never be safe around her thanks to her ability to absorb the magic power and lifeforce out of other people near her, so she knew that her son will never be safe around her.

She had tears in her eyes as she closed her fists and eyes as she wanted to be a mother so badly, but she knew the dangers that were for her son, so she gently placed the carriage around another boy that she found to be rather cute.

Once she was done she looked at her son and the boy next to him, she knew that they might become best friends or heck even brothers…but right now, she didn't know what will happen to both of them. All she wanted was their safety.

She took a breath as she knocked on the door of the church and began running away, not looking back.

As then a man with brown hair and beard, wearing a black robe with wide white bands at the hem and cuffs, with a high collared white mantle and a golden necklace with a cross. His name was Father Orsi Orfai, the priest in Hage Village.

"Now, what do we have here? Two boys without their parents?" Father Orsi as he looked around as the two boys began crying. He sighed, "There there you two, everything will be alright." he said as he knelt down and picked them up.

He opened the door, walked through the kitchen and walked into his room. He placed them in his bed. He used his Fire Magic to make a fire in the chimney as he took a sip of his tea. He looked over them as he saw the two boys being all calm as they began sleeping peacefully.

"There we go, I thought they would never stop crying." he smiled as he knelt down as he looked at them, "So, are these two boys twins or something? Possibly since they are the same age."

He then looked over to see the two boys and saw the differences. Both for their appearance and how they acted. "Nope, they are neither."

He looked over the black haired boy as he pulled down the blanket to see his name, "Yuno? How interesting. And my, what pointy ears you have there." he said as he saw a blue amulet on it. He smiled, it seemed that it probably meant a lot to him.

"Now, for the energeti-" he was kicked in the head by the little boy, "OW! Looks like he is a bit too energetic." he said as he rubbed his nose as he then smiled at the little boy. He did think the kid was really cute.

He then saw the name tag for the little guy, "Asta, huh? Well, you two might have started off rough with no parents, but rest assured, you two are safe here with your new home. Asta…and Yuno."

5 Years Later

It has been 5 years ever since Yuno and Asta were raised in the house of the church in Hage Village, and a lot happened in those years. The church has gotten two new kids to look after, a 3 year old girl with red hair Recca and a 1 year old boy by the name of Nash, and the church has gotten a new person to look after the church with Father Orsi, a woman of the cloth by the name of Lily Aquaria who Asta kept on bugging her to marry him.

A lot.

Like every other day.

Which resulted in her using her Water Creation Magic: Holy Fist Of Love on Asta. Every other day.

They also heard that the 27th Wizard King by the name of Conrad Leto unfortunately died of an illness, which made the now 28th Wizard King Julius Novachrono step up and became the Wizard King.

But the most important part of this entire thing, was that both Yuno and Asta were grown to be like brothers, since they were best friends and treated themselves like brothers, closer than most brothers in fact.

It was shocking to see someone like Asta, who was a loud, cheery, mostly annoying kid that can't shut up, be really close to someone like Yuno, who was a shy, quiet boy who cried a lot, as it seemed like it was mutual.

It was nice to see as Father Orsi did raise them to be respectable children and while Asta was somewhat that, it was still good to see that they cared about each other.

Father Orsi Orfai was someone that while a bit too emotional, was someone that they would call him their father as he saw the children of the orphanage as his own children.

Churches weren't really established very well at the start like now, but because of the former Wizard King Edward Avalache, it was made popular all over the Clover Kingdom.

Hage Village was in the Forsaken Realm of the Clover Kingdom where most of the civilians had less magic than that of the Nobles and Royalty, but the reason why it was so remembered and still used to this day was because of 2 reasons.

The first is because it was the place where the first Wizard King defeated an Ancient Demon that was strong enough to almost destroy all of humanity, but he was able to defeat the Ancient Demon all on his own and the statue of the Wizard King and the Skull of the Demon were all in Hage Village.

The second is because there was a Grimoire tower where 15 year olds from Hage and the surrounding areas all gathered around to get their Grimoires with varying attributes. Not to mention, it was popular for the vegetable known as the pop-potatoes which Asta loves to eat.

Now, Yuno and Asta were running up a hill because Sister Lily, Recca and Nash were currently having a picnic. Asta was a boy with ash blond hair, with green eyes as he wore a long sleeve shirt with brown pants and brown shoes.

Yuno was a boy with black hair, amber eyes, black shirt, beige pants and brown shoes. He had a blue amulet around his necklace that he treasures a lot since it came with him when he was just a little baby, but the most noticeable feature was that his ears were much more pointy than the others.

It was that much of a difference, but it was a noticeable one as his ears were larger than the average human.

But he wasn't the only one that was weird. Asta as well had something that differentiates himself from the others and that is that he doesn't have that much mana or couldn't control it, as even Recca, who is only 2 years younger than him, could control her mana better than him.

"Come on, Yuno! Sister Lily and the others are waiting for us!" yelled Asta as he ran faster than the little boy.

Yuno tripped as Asta heard it as he turned around, "Ow!" he yelled.

"Aww geez, Yuno are you okay?!" yelled Asta as he ran towards his foster brother as he lifted his head with tears in his eyes, "Don't tell me you are going to cry again!"

"N…no I won't!" sniffled Yuno as he got up and wiped his tears.

"You are such a crybaby, Yuno." said Asta as Yuno sniffled.

"I know." he said sadly.

"Come on, let's go Yuno, you know that I always have your back!" he said as Yuno smiled at him as both of them began running towards the hill to see Nash being carried by Sister Lily and Recca eating bread.

The two brothers sat on the ground and took the bread.

Yuno bit into it as he chewed on it. It felt like a brick, "This is good, but… a bit too tough, maybe?" he asked.

"Are you kidding me, this is great?!" yelled Asta as he began eating the bread that was more like a brick as Yuno thought that his teeth would break if he continued eating it, "Seriously Sister Lily, this is great! Tell you what, how about you and I get married so you could cook for me?" he asked with a grin as Sister Lily chuckled at that.

"I am sorry to tell you this Asta, but the one who cooked that bread was Father Orsi, so I think you should marry him instead." Asta's entire body paled as Yuno chuckled at his foster brother's reaction.

"Ugh, no! He is stinky, old and gross!" he fell to the ground and began having a temper tantrum, "I want to marry you, and not some stinking old man! AHHH! PLEASE MARRY ME, SIS-"

Sister Lily pulled out her Grimoire which immediately shut him up.

"Asta, how many times does she have to remind you? Sister Lily can't marry anyone, she is a woman of the cloth." said Yuno as Asta looked at Yuno.

"I am not giving up, Yuno! You know that better than anyone!" yelled Asta, "I don't care if we are old and gray, she will say it one day!"

"Good luck with that." said Yuno.

After about an hour of eating that brick that was the bread that Father Orsi, don't let him cook at all, they began walking to the church as Recca had to be carried by Asta as she was asleep when they got there, with Nash being carried by Sister Lily.

Once they got to the church, with Sister Lily and Asta placing Recca and Nash in their room, Sister Lily decided it was a good time to tell them of the Ancient Demon that lives in Hage Village.

They sat on one of those large chairs as Sister Lily opened a book that was about the First ever Wizard King and that Ancient Demon. She began to tell the story of the Ancient Demon and humanity's almost existion.

Threatened by a ruthless Demon, humanity was on the brink of destruction, as the powerful demon wrecked houses like they were made out of paper as no mages were able to even scratch the powerful beast of destruction, not even a powerful Combination Magic even made it stop destroying the villages.

All seemed lost until a lone mage stepped up and took up the fight as the legendary fight between the lone mage and the demon took everyone by storm as they saw the powerful mage using his Light Magic to stop every attack spell coming from the demon, but they could tell that the mage was saddened to see the demon in that state, which confused them.

However, a massive sword made out of pure light appeared behind the lone mage as it went through the heart of the Demon, slaying it for good of all humanity as the mage lowered his head in sadness. After his triumph, he was hailed as the Wizard King and his story became legend.

"Wow… the Wizard King." said both Yuno and Asta as they were amazed at how powerful the lone mage was.

"As then, peace and prosperity rained." finished Sister Lily as she closed the book of the famous legend.

There was silence inside of the church as Asta looked at Sister Lily, "Sister, is there still a Wizard King?" he asked as Sister Lily smiled at him.

"Of course there is. The Wizard King is a title passed down from another powerful mage to another, who were the strongest mages at their time, protecting the Clover Kingdom from all sort of threats and making sure that everyone in the Clover Kingdom can feel safe." said Sister Lily as she was saddened when she heard the news of Conrad dying of sickness as when she heard about him, he sounded like the ideal Wizard King.

"So… he is really an important person, huh Sister?" asked Yuno as Sister Lily nodded.

"Of course, he is the second most important person in the Clover Kingdom, the first being the King of our Kingdom, unfortunately." she mumbled the last part.

Asta then grinned as he stood up in one of the church's long chairs, "Then it is settled! I am going to become the Wizard King!" yelled Asta as both of them looked at Asta in shock.

Wait, what?

"Uhm… when did this start?" asked Sister Lily as Asta looked at her.

"Well, that first Wizard King was strong, right?" he asked as she nodded, "So that means he is strong, and super cool! I want to be just like him when I grow! And that is not all, he is strong, he is able to protect people he cared about, and when I grow up, I am going to become the Wizard King! So I can make everyone here, everyone that I care about, happy."

He then turned to Yuno and Sister Lily, "I mean think about it! Wearing nice clothes, eating more than just pop potatoes, having more comfortable beds, I am going to make this place better one day and I am not giving up, no matter what!"

Yuno looked at his foster brother in awe as he held his amulet close to his heart as Sister was sweating with a nervous expression, "Just you wait, Sister! You are going to be living the high life and then one day, you will marr-" he was hit with a Holy Fist Of Love once more, landing next to the wall with stars going around his head.

Yuno looked at the amulet, "The Wizard King…" he whispered to himself.

That was two months ago, as it was now December for the two young boys as Asta was trying his hardest to make up some sort of magic work from his hands, even if it was just a tiny spark of magic, it would work for him.

No matter what, he will become the Wizard King and marry Sister Lily!

…

That would be the case if he could even manifest a single drop of mana as he felt like he didn't have a single drop of it even though he tried his hardest to make it work.

He dropped to his knees, "I don't get it! I am trying my absolute hardest, but nothing seems to work!"

"Oh don't worry, Asta, one day you will manage to make a spell of your own," said Sister Lily as Asta raised his head.

"I guess you are right. Hey, do you need help with the laundry?" he asked.

"Why yes, thank you for your help, Asta." she said.

"Then after that, will yo-"

"Nope."

"Will you ma-"

"Never."

"Marry-"

"No."

"Me?"

"Absolutely not."

Yuno was then shown carrying Nash in his hands, crying his eyes out, as Recca said, "Come on, Yuno. Don't start crying with him."

"But when he cries, I cry." he said, nearly breaking down crying. Recca sighs. How is she the only normal one here?

Asta stood up, "Hey Yuno, I think I know how to cheer up Nash! Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!" he yelled out as Yuno and Recca looked at each other, and then back to Sister Lily who nodded that it was best for him to at least try and cheer him up.

Yuno nodded as he gave Nash to Asta, who began yelling at him, "COME ON, NASH! DON'T CRY! EVERYTHING WILL BE ALRIGHT!"

That made Nash cry even more.

Sister Lily took Nash from Asta's hands. It was a horrible decision to give Nash to Asta. As then Nash stopped crying as he was in the hands of Sister Lily. How come he is always calm when Sister Lily and Father Orsi hold him?

"Great job, Asta. You did such a good job calming Nash." Recca said sarcastically.

"Recca, shut up." he said.

As then Father Orsi, whose hair is slowly turning white as he was getting old, floated down with a broom. He walked towards the kids and Sister Lily. "Alright, I need one of the youngsters to run an errand for me. I hope that is alright."

Asta's ears perked up, "ME! PICK ME! ME! ME! I CAN HANDLE IT!" he yelled as Father Orsi looked at Asta and then back to Yuno, "COME ON! I CAN DO IT!" he yelled out as Father Orsi took the letter out of his pocket.

"I need this letter to be delivered by the village chief, it won't last too long because we need food from the other villages because of the Winter and we don't have enough pop potatoes for the Winter, so this an important letter." he said as he walked towards one of the kids.

"ME! ME! PICK ME!" yelled Asta as Father Orsi kneeled towards Yuno.

"Can you do it for me, Yuno?" asked Father Orsi as Asta looked at Father.

"Huh, me, why?" asked Yuno as Asta looked at his foster brother in shock.

"Because like I said it is a very important letter and I do trust you with it," he said as he then began to whisper this, "Look, I love Asta, but I don't trust him with a ham sandwich let alone an important letter like this."

"Wow, I feel so loved here." the ash haired boy said.

Yuno looked at the letter that Father Orsi gave him and then back to him. He knew that something like this was extremely important for the church and Hage Village and that he had to deliver this message, so he nodded.

"Okay, I will go." he said as he took the letter.

"Are you sure, Yuno? You know that is an important letter, right?" asked Asta.

"At least he can handle a baby without it crying." said Recca as the ash haired boy looked at her.

"Oh shut up, Recca! What have you done today?!" he yelled as he at least chopped some wood on his own.

"Picked up pop potatoes with Yuno?" she said as that made Asta shut his mouth, surprisingly if that was even possible.

"Don't worry Asta, I can deliver it on my own!" said Yuno as he looked at the sky and he knew that it would be a cold night if he doesn't right now go.

"Okay, Yuno, make sure you come back safe!" said Asta as Sister Lily, Father Orsi and Recca nodded with him at that.

"Will do! I will make sure that this letter is delivered!" he yelled as he began running towards the chief of Hage Village as Sister Lily and Father Orsi realized that, thanks to the clouds in the sky, it will be a cold night for everyone and this message had to be delivered.

Yuno ran towards the house of the chief of Hage Village, as even though it was getting cold and chilly, he didn't stop running, no matter if it was cold or not.

He even noticed that it began snowing which would've been fun if they had any Winter clothes for this occasion, but sadly they didn't so they had to stay inside for some time.

Yuno did know where the chief lived because Father Orsi did bring him and Asta there a few times so he knew the route like the back of his little head.

He did fall on the ground once, as he didn't notice, but a drunk man was kicked out of a bar as he didn't have enough money for more drinks as then the drunk man saw the amulet around Yuno's neck and grinned. That could go for a few bucks, couldn't it?

So he followed the kid, as Yuno finally reached towards the chief of Hage Village and began knocking on the door as the chief of Hage Village opened it. Yuno brought the letter towards him and saw the letter in the child's hands.

He smiled as he took the letter and read it, as he read that the church needs food for the children and nodded. "I see, well don't worry there, son. I will make sure that there will be enough food for everyone. Tell the priest that I have contacted the other villages!"

"Will do," Yuno bowed towards the chief, "And thank you for doing it, sir." said Yuno as the chief nodded.

"It is getting late, so be careful, okay, son?" he said as Yuno nodded as he began walking away. He closed the door.

Yuno began running as he passed a few houses that were closed as they were either lit up or asleep which was a perfect time for someone to strike on the kid.

Which…sadly, it happened as Yuno accidentally bumped into a drunk man that was standing as he landed on his butt.

"Oh sorry sir, I didn't mean to do that." said Yuno as he bowed his head towards the drunk man as the drunk man looked at Yuno.

"It's fine kid," he took notice of two things that were special about Yuno: his pointy ears and his amulet around his neck. "Man, kid, you have some freaky ears, you know that?" he asked as Yuno frowned when he heard that.

"He-hey, please don't talk about my ears that way sir, I am sensitive about that." he said as he tried to hide them with his hands.

"Oh come on, kid, I am just saying the truth. Those are really freaky ears, I mean, why are they so pointy?" he asked.

"I don't know! I was just born with them, okay? I don't know why I have them like that." he said as the drunk man knew that this kid wouldn't budge about his ears so he looked at his amulet.

"Alright, alright, I will stop talking about your weird ears," he looked at the amulet as he grinned, "Say… that amulet looks really expensive, right?"

Yuno looked at the man in confusion as he nodded slowly, "I mean, yeah? This is the only amulet I have seen that looks like this."

"Interesting, interesting, if I say so," he looked at the amulet, "Say… how about I hold it for a second? So I can see how valuable it looks." he said as Yuno's eyes widened when he heard that.

Father Orsi and Sister Lily told him that he should never give strangers any personal information about them or about your stuff, it will not end well for him.

"N-no, thank you sir, I think you can see it from here." he said as he held his amulet close to him as the drunk man's eyes widened.

"Oh come on, kid, just one second and I will give it back." he said as Yuno took several steps backwards.

"I said no, sir, so please… get away." he said as the drunk man gritted his teeth.

"Oh god damn it, give me the goddamn amulet and you go scott free!" yelled the drunk man.

"I said no!" yelled Yuno.

"That's it!" he yelled as he grabbed Yuno's amulet out of his hands as before Yuno could say anything, he was kicked in the gut by the drunk man. "I tried being nice, but you stubborn kids don't know when to quit, huh?" he said as he laughed.

Yuno held his stomach as he was trying his hardest not to cry, "Please… give it back." he chocked on his tears as the drunk man laughed.

"Hah! No can do kid! I gotta give me some more drinks, you know?" he said as he looked at the amulet, "My oh my, it looks like it is an actual gem, how much do you think it will cost? More than enough for more drinks? You betcha'." he said as Yuno tried his hardest to stand up.

"Give me-"

"Oh shut up, kid!" the drunk man kicked Yuno straight at the jaw as Yuno fell on his back. "I already gave you a chance to give it to me, but you wasted it! You don't deserve shit like this, you hear me?! You are just a brat!"

Tears went down to Yuno's cheeks as the pain was just unbearable, but he can't give up just yet, he has to get his amulet back.

"Ple…please just give it back," he stood up as tears went down his eyes as he raised his palm, "I don't want to hurt you." he said as on his hands appeared a small tornado of the size of his palm thanks to his Wind Magic, but the drunk man laughed at that.

"THAT?! Please, kid! That thing won't do you any fucking thing, got that?" he said as he maliciously smiled at him, "Tell ya what? You use that pathetic magic on me or even tell them what happened, and I will kill you, got it?"

Yuno widened his eyes at that as his magic disappeared from his hands as he dropped them. Tears were going down his cheeks like a waterfall as he couldn't do nothing about it, nothing to save his amulet, the thing that has been with him ever since he was a little child, and it felt like it was part of his family that he couldn't explain.

He closed his eyes as the drunk man realized that he has given up, but then…

"YUNO!" Yuno's eyes shot up as he saw his foster brother, Asta, running towards the drunk man as he tackled him, "That belongs to Yuno, not you!" yelled Asta as the drunk man gritted his teeth.

"Another brat are you kidding me?!" he yelled as he punched Asta right at his jaw as he was flown across for a few feet, but Asta stood up.

"I said give it back, right now!" yelled Asta as he charged towards the drunk man, but he was kicked away.

"I won't give up, you got that?! Give it back!" yelled Asta as he ran towards the drunk man, but was punched away from him.

"Come on, kid, just stand back, already!" yelled the drunk man as he continued to make Asta fly around with his punches and kicks, but the little kid stood up.

Even if he didn't have much magic, his real magic is never giving up.

Asta kept charging towards the drunk man as the man kept hitting Asta across his entire body, making Asta have scratches all over his body, bleeding from his nose and an almost black eye, but he kept going.

He kept running at him, but no matter how much he was kicked, punched or thrown, he didn't give up as he kept running towards the man as if it was his mission to become the Wizard King as the drunk man kept hitting the kid with no mercy.

Yuno just stood there…

Unable to do nothing as he saw his foster brother, his best friend, take all of the punishment, all of the hits from him, every punch and kick, every attack for him. His amulet that he had around his neck.

He was doing this not to brag, but to protect Yuno and his amulet from people like him.

Tears went around his cheeks as he saw Asta still getting punched around from the drunk man, as he gritted his teeth.

He had enough of this man and hurting Asta!

"Get," he pulled his arm out as he opened his palm as then something like that of cosmic mana appeared around his palm, "Away," as it was blue like the beautiful sky that he loved looking at, "From," as the shape was that of a sphere which at every angle was pointy as then thrusted the palm towards the drunk man as like… it was…

Star Magic.

"MY BROTHER!" Yuno yelled as the Star landed directly towards the drunk man, which then created a small explosion of blue colouring, making the drunk man fly for a bit, until he landed on the ground on his back.

Asta and Yuno were both in shock at what happened as they both looked at each other with shocked expressions at what happened.

The drunk man then stood up with a wide expression as his eyes were widened and his jaw was fully opened like he gasped, but the scary part is…

There was another Star next to Yuno, but this time it was green.

He stood up, "You know what?! Just take the amulet and leave me alone!" he yelled as he threw the amulet at Yuno, directly next to him. He then began to run away, making sure that he never meets this kid ever again.

It was quiet as the two kids looked at each other with shocked expressions on their faces, as both didn't know what just happened.

Asta looked at his brother in shock as he didn't know he could do that, he thought that he only had Wind Magic, so why does have this… this… Star Magic?!

Yuno looked at his hands as he didn't know what happened. It felt like… like he used a completely different Magic Attribute.

"Yuno… that…" Asta started as Yuno looked at his foster brother in shock as he was afraid of what would happen or what his reaction would be? Would he treat him like a freak? Will he hate him?

Will he resent him?

Will he be jealous of this?

Yuno began shaking his reaction as he closed his eyes, as then he heard Asta's reaction, "was so COOL!" he yelled with stars in his eyes. Yuno then looked at his foster brother in shock.

"I mean, have you seen how amazing that hit was? He went flying away like a bird once you hit him with that, what was it, Star Magic? Well, whatever it was, it was the coolest thing I have ever seen!" he yelled as Yuno smiled as he saw the small star beside him as he realized that this might be his power, but why?

Why does he have this, but Asta seems to have none?

It didn't really seem fair for him.

"Asta…"

"Hmm?"

"I am sorry." Asta was confused on why Yuno said that, "I am sorry that I brought you into this mess! I am sorry that I hurt you so much in this… and it was my fault that you got hurt like this, and I am so so-"

"Don't be, Yuno." he said with a smile on his face as Yuno looked at him with shock.

"Wh-what?" he asked.

"Why would you be sorry for something that you didn't even do? What happened is that you almost got your stone stolen and I knew that it meant alot to you, so why would I let him steal it from you?" he asked as Yuno looked at him in shock.

He wanted to protect him. Asta wanted to protect him from the drunk man from stealing his amulet.

He smiled at his foster brother.

"And besides, you know that I always have your back, and you have mine, right Yuno?" he asked as Yuno nodded with him.

"Right." he said as he took his amulet from the ground. He realized something.

He has 2 Magic Attributes, right? If so, that means that… that he has this power to protect people, to protect his foster siblings, Sister Lily and Father Orsi, and even Asta. He knows what he has to do.

He will become the Wizard King.

"Asta, I want to say this." said Yuno as Asta looked at him.

"Yeah, what is it, Yuno?" he asked.

"It is settled, I will fight and train in order to become the Wizard King!" he yelled as Asta's eyes widened when he heard that, "I promise I will never cry again! I will protect everyone in Hage Village from all threats! I will use my powers for good, so that everyone around will feel safe! And I will never give up, got it?!"

Asta looked at his foster brother in shock as then… he grinned.

"So you want to be the Wizard King too, huh?" he asked.

Both of them looked at each other as they smiled.

"Yeah, I guess…"

"This makes you…"

"...my rival!" both of them said at the same time as both of them fist bumped each other as they made a promise with each other.

That they will fight to see who becomes the Wizard King!

Okay, I think this is a good place to end this here and I am quite proud of it. 7k in 3 days ain't no joke.

Okay, so why am I doing this? Because of one reason: I love Black Clover. This hasn't registered of whetever or not I liked the anime, until Vetto vs Luck and Magna, and that is when I realized that I love this anime to death and even picked up the manga (Up to Chapter 322.). I love the cast as I think it is New Gen Shonen's best cast of characters as even someone like Magna Swing can have one of the most badass scenes in all of animanga as all of them have the chance to shine and even the female cast! I swear, not one female character can come close to Mereoleona Vermillion!

But the rivalry is something that drew me in right at Episode 2 of Black Clover as we realize what this is. This is the most healthy rivalry in all of Shonen, as both of them respect each other, make each other strong, believe in each other, have a mutual bond and more. This is my favourite rivalry in all Anime, and nothing comes close. Which is why I am writing this fic.

So how does Yuno have 2 Magic Attributes, well in here, he is half human and half elf, thanks to Licht and Tetia, so that means that he is a mix, and thanks to Charmy being half human and dwarf, she can use 2 Magic Attributes at the same time, but here it is more genetically. I will still make him have the Wind Spirit because of the fact that it is an elemental Spirit and I just love Spirit Dive as a transformation.

There will be some OCs, even one Black Bull, so I hope you don't mind them.

Star Magic is interesting for me because from what I have seen, it is the most versatile Magic out there, making a whip, a powerful spear, can make one shield, make a powerful shield thanks to Scutum, can fucking teleport and more, so I want to give it like a grenade approach more as an attack. I want to make up some Combination Attacks like Dimensional Slash Scorching Light, like Klaus's Cannon and Yuno's Star Magic.

Action is hard for me, but I want to at least try and make it interesting. Before you ask, yes, the movie is canon and I want to write it as part of the Canon so badly.

The ships… Okay, I will say this. Yuno and Asta will be purely platonic as I do seem them as brothers. I want to write something like Finral x Vanessa, Nozel x Dorothy, Magna x OC, Yuno x a Black Bull, like Charmy, so I want to at least make it interesting.
