chapter 1: IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT

The story began in the suburbs. In fact, the very same suburbs from the original 'Cartoon All-Stars to the Rescue' film.

Only, unlike that one, which started early in the morning, this story begins in the middle of the night.

We zoom into a house, and upon a closer look at the mailbox outside, we see the surname 'Mitchell'.

Pan up to an upstairs window of the house, to a room which looked out onto a front lawn.

In that room was quite a lot of things - a few toys and books, and a bed, and in said bed, was a young 9 year old boy with white skin, chestnut brown hair, and blue eyes.

He appeared to be fast asleep.

BUT.

in one split millisecond, he seemed to get up, and pull the covers off of his bed, then stand up, dressed in his white and blue striped pyjamas. Then, putting on some bunny slippers, he very quietly opened the door, and crept out of the room, leaving the door a small gap open.

not too far away from the door, was a little red modern train toy. Suddenly, as if by magic, the little toy train came to life.

but this was no ordinary toy train.

It was Wilson, from the CBeebies show Chuggington!

Wilson turned on his lamps, and very carefully, puffed off across the floor, and out the open door.

The boy didn't notice that his toy train had came to life and was secretly following him - he was already creeping down the stairs.

SUDDENLY!

There was a loud CREAK!

Both the boy and Wilson froze. The boy looked around. Then the boy heard some snorting from another slightly open door down the hall from his bedroom. Then, Wilson heard an adult male voice mutter, "I wanna ride the pony..." in his sleep, then go back to snoring as if nothing had happened.

"That was close." Wilson whispered to himself.

"What was it, Wilson?" said a voice, in a whisper.

It came from an action figure shaped like a young kid with shaggy black hair, wearing purple futuristic armour, black shorts, and black sneakers. Also accompanying him was a big figure in red & purple futuristic armour, with a white face with black eyes with a line between them.

These 2 were Hiro Hamada, and his healthcare robot, Baymax, from the 2014 Disney film Big Hero 6, and they had came to meet Wilson on the landing.

"Well," Wilson whispered, "Casper was apparently a step too close to waking up his parents."

"That would've been bad." Hiro said. "Baymax, I think we'd better follow him."

"Affirmative, Hiro," said Baymax. Hiro climbed up onto Baymax's back, and together, the 2 of them flew off. "Good luck!" Wilson whispered.

Hiro & Baymax flew down, quietly, and saw the boy, now known as Casper, heading into the kitchen, and picking up a wallet from a jacket in a coat-rack. Hiro & Baymax watched him from behind a vase on a small table on the landing, which they saw from a door in the landing.

"Baymax, what is Casper doing?" Hiro asked.

Baymax scanned ahead. "Oh no." he said suddenly.

"I guess that means it's not good, isn't it?" Hiro asked. "Exactly." Baymax said. "Casper is stealing money from a wallet!"

Hiro & Baymax hid behind the vase, as they saw Casper sneaking quickly by. Once the coast was clear, Hiro & Baymax flew into the kitchen, and looked at the discarded wallet, and then, they saw a picture on a driver's license inside it, of an adult man, with ginger brown hair, and a similar coloured moustache over his lip, and a white shirt.

Hiro read the name next to said picture: 'Reginald Mitchell'.

Hiro gasped. "This is Casper's dad's wallet!"

"Oh no." Baymax said again.

"We'd better inform Wilson, right away!" Hiro said, getting onto Baymax, and setting off back to Casper's bedroom.

"Casper did what?" said Wilson, shocked.

"Yes, Wilson. Casper stole money from his father's wallet!" Hiro said.

"Oh, bumpers!" Wilson said. "This is not good!"

Suddenly, they heard some thumping coming from the bedroom from behind the door where they were.

They all peered in, very carefully, and this is what they saw:

Casper, now dressed in a blue t-shirt, navy sweat pants, red socks and black trainers, was getting a backpack and a grey hoodie out from his wardrobe. He put the money he'd taken from his dad's wallet into a small wallet of his own in his backpack, then, put on the grey hoodie, and made sure to put his hood up.

Casper looked to the left, then to the right, then, he very quietly opened the window, then, carefully and quietly, he eased himself over the windowsill.

Hiro & Baymax flew toward the window, and watched as Casper carefully slid down the drainpipe. Then, they watched, as they saw Casper run through the front yard, and to the right down the pavement, and soon vanished.

"Oh no." Baymax said for the third time in this fanfic.

"You said it." Hiro said.

"HEY!" whispered 2 other voices.

Hiro turned, and there he saw 2 Formula 1 cars with caps, eyes and mouths waving from a chest of drawers, near an alarm clock that looked like Pingu, from the cartoon of the same name. One was red with the number 1 and a white cap with a star with a number 1 on it, and a black and white checkered brim, and the other was yellow with the number 5, and he wore a dark blue cap witha white trim and yellow tinted sport glasses.

Those 2 cars were Roary & Maxi, from the show Roary the Racing Car.

"Over here!" Maxi called. Hiro & Baymax flew over to where Roary & Maxi were.

"We found this letter!" Roary whispered. He & Maxi held up a piece of paper, and Hiro, and Baymax, and Wilson [who Baymax also picked up and brought onto the drawers] all read the words they saw on the piece of paper.

The words said,

"Dear Mom & Dad, and/or whoever reads this letter,'

'Don't bother looking for me, because I'm running away from home, far away, to the big city, and I am never ever coming back, EVER!'

'I don't care If I never see you again, because I hate you!'

'GOODBYE FOREVER!'

'Your ex-son, Casper'

"Oh no." Baymax said for the 4th time in this fanfic.

Pingu, who, by this time, had now come to life, did his 'noot noot' in agreement.

"You're not wrong, Pingu." Wilson said.

"Mamma Mia!" Maxi exclaimed. "What are we gonna do?"

"There's only one thing we can do," said Hiro. "We've got to stage an emergency meeting." He glanced towards a framed picture of the CITV show Dream Street, on the wall. In that picture was Buddy, the breakdown truck, and Tech, the robot from the depot.

"And I know just where to have it." he added.
