Season 3: Episode 19

Violet sighed as she smoothed down her clothing, a pair of black athletic shorts and a white tank-top along with white socks. She was alone in the apartment, it had been three days since the sleepover, five since the abduction of Rondi and eight since the abduction of Michelle. She was currently checking her phone, noting texts from the other girls, checking to see if she was okay, she had replied to them, admitting she was fine and couldn't help but smile as she noted they all had plans with their respective boyfriends. All except Clem who was naturally still worried. Which was why, at that moment, she noted the phone call she was getting from Clem.

"Hey Clem." Violet greeted her girlfriend as she answered the call. "Still worried.

Clementine sighed. "How can I not be worried, Vi? Has there, has there been anything since the sleepover, since that attempted break-in?"

Violet bit her lip. "I can understand that, but no, there hasn't been anything."

"Alright...I just wish you didn't have to deal with by yourself." Clem said.

"I know, but hey, I'm the only one who has nothing to do. Sarah, Becca and Brody are with John, David and Gabe and you-" Violet began.

Clem finished. "Yeah, I'm babysitting AJ…"

"Then you focus on that." Violet said reassuringly. "I'll be fine, don't worry about it. I'll call you if I need anything."

"Yeah, alright." Clem said gently.

Reassured the phone call ended.

Setting her phone down on the table, Violet sat down at the table and looked at what she had laid out on the table before her. Namely the photos of Michelle and Rondi, paired with the two letters that had been sent with each picture.

'What are we missing, what am I not seeing?' She wondered. 'According to him there are clues here and he seems insistent that I need to find them to save the girls...I'd do it no matter how much I dislike them. But not if I can't find anything, what am I missing, what clues are supposedly here…'

She let out a sigh of frustration and examined the two letters first, trying to read between the lines, to see if there were any hints. No code or anything like that, just regular letters. She checked the photos next and grimaced as she looked at each girl, the worst and most deplorable bully in the school, a complete spoiled brat, yet here Rondi looked scared, terrified, not so haughty. Michelle looked scared too, even more so than Rondi and Violet recalled the things she had learned.

'Michelle...Michelle isn't actually all bad, she's just had a hard time and has been taking it out on everyone. Rondi took advantage of that and turned her into her minion...maybe there's a way to help her get free of that after we get them out of this creep's hands.'

She shook her head, there was no sign of anything familiar in the background of the photos, nothing that gave her a clue.

Biting her lip, she decided to look at the only other thing, admittedly the only thing that was odd about the things sent to her, she turned them over to look at the strange markings on the back.

'I don't know, this doesn't...wait a minute, I wonder...could it be?'

She shook her head, it was random but it just might work. She arranged the four items into a square. She put Michelle's picture on the top left, the letter sent with Michelle on the top right. The photo of Rondi on the bottom left below the picture of Michelle, that letter on the bottom right. The markings started to make sense now and she saw how the first two items sent to her should have been enough of a clue.

"You gotta be kidding me." She whispered to herself. "A map."

She slowly pushed the four together until they all touched and the various lines all met up to confirm it was a map, a map of the town itself.

'Yeah, I should've seen this right away, it's a map of town, on the back of Michelle's photo, that mark...it's mine and mom's apartment...on the back of Michelle's letter. That old run down abandoned hotel outside town, it's marked...could it be.'

She stood up, realizing the truth now, that had to be where Rondi and Michelle were being held by the creep. She knew that she had only one choice, the police were too busy with their fruitless searches and wouldn't really pay much attention to it. There was only one option she felt. She hurried over and pulled on her black sneakers, pocketed her phone and, with her keys, left the apartment. She locked the door and pocketed the keys before hurrying to get to that old hotel. If Rondi and Michelle were there, she'd find them and save them. If that was what the creep wanted and was after her, then so be it. She refused to be intimidated by this creep, after Chapman and what he did to her and the girls, she wasn't going to let it be the case this time. She left heading off to face whatever lay waiting for her at the abandoned hotel.
