Holly had a feeling that if Robert was with her, Diane wouldn't talk. Robert agreed to wait. He had complete faith in Holly. He just hated seeing her hurt, and Diane had definitely caused a lot of that over the years.
Holly sat and waited for Diane to be brought in.
Diane saw Holly and gave an evil grin. "Hello, Miss Sutton."
"It's Mrs. Scorpio, now what did you want from me?" Holly wasn't up to playing her games.
"Oh yes, for how long?" Diane tried to get to Holly.
Holly brushed it off. "Is there an actual reason you wanted to see me?"
Diane leaned back in the chair. "What does Robert even see in you?"
Holly shook her head. She had no intention of defending herself to this woman. "Again, I ask, what do you want?"
"I'm a much better friend than foe. You may want to keep that in mind. If not for yourself, then maybe for your family." Diane was hoping to strike a nerve.
She finally did, as much as Holly tried to control her temper. "You stay away from my family, or you will face a wrath like no other."
Diane knew now was the time to keep needling her. "Tell me, do you and Robert talk about me often? We were getting pretty close."
Holly knew this game and refused to play it. "Why would we bother talking about you? Do you really think we spend every day thinking about you? I can assure you not only do I not but neither does Robert."
Diane glared at Holly as she stood up. "Just remember, I warned you." The guard took her out of the room, and Robert came in.
"I didn't really get much information, but she did threaten our family." Holly told Robert, clearly still in protective mode. She worried about those last words of Diane's.
"I saw." Robert admitted as he took her hand. "Let's get out of here and discuss this."
Holly nodded as the two left. Holly sat in the passenger side. "I really don't think it's productive for me to give in and see her, she is just trying to get in my head again."
Robert glanced over from the drivers seat. "My thoughts too. You know everything that happened between me and that woman. She wanted more but I wanted you."
Holly took Robert's hand. "Don't think I ever question that."
"There is nothing in this world I won't do to protect you or our family." Robert told her in a matter of fact tone.
"I never question that either." Holly smiled over at him.
