A Double Dragon Battle Cry! (A Battlefield Beckons, Engage in battle, Wingdramon and Groundramon!)
The sun faded behind the mountain as the group made camp for the night, from what they could tell, they would be at the foot of the mountain within two days but for now it would be best for them to rest before then and so the group made camp. As the tents and sleeping bags were put up, there was a clear difference between the two agreed on leaders of Steven and Barry which they realised was to do with their own past, Steven having two siblings whom he had to look after a lot due to his parents being unavailable most of the time despite their best efforts, was trying to micromanage the group a lot and was not only ignoring his partners but he was also irritating some of the group in particular Tobias and Patrick. Whilst Barry, given the fact that until a few months ago he'd had both his parents around, but his father had to go to a different country for a job promotion, and so he was forced to become the man of the household, as such he knew what he had to do in situations, such as organisation and with the exception of having his partners pretend to be stuffed toys for his twin toddler sisters, he treated his Digimon partners with great respect and very much like family.
As the group slept AxeKnightmon was contacting the groups affiliated with the Chess army and was informing them that there was to be an attack on the human realm, and he alerted a small group that there was to be an attack on a certain group of humans and that he estimated where they were.
As the group awoke, they started to venture towards the mountain, then they could see something ahead of them and then they realised that it was the large black clad knight that they had encountered a month ago surrounded by an army and as they turned to flee, they realised that somehow a gigantic Octagon shaped Digimon had appeared without them realising that the Digimon was right there and with a single snap from the knight, the army charged forwards and the group realised that it was time to fight.

A massive free-for-all broke out as the army attacked the group, some of the army was taken out with ease other were tougher and require duos to work together to defeat them and until at the end, only the Octagon Digimon and the Knight was left, and they then realised what the Octagon itself was and more specifically, why it hadn't attacked. It was a large container for other Digimon, which caught them by surprise and whilst Gardemon and Gladiusmon did their best to fend off the Knight, the rest of the group was being overwhelmed and Steven was obsessing so much over the groups protection, he was completely ignoring Greymon and Garurumon's exhausted cries for help whilst Barry did and he told both Coredramon's to try to protect the two of them and after diving to protect Catherine from being flattened by the Octagon Digimon, his Digivice shone bright.

The blue Coredramon had now evolved into a tall bipedal dragon with a very long tail and wings with two golden orbs clutched in his hands, along with a lance on his back in what appeared to be a jetpack of sorts, he also had slight armour on his head and chest along with ruffles on his arms and head, it was very clear that for speed very few could now beat him. As for the Green Coredramon, he had evolved into a quadruped dragon that instead of having two wings, he had two large arms with blood red claws sticking out of the hands, at the end of his tail, there was a large mace that surprisingly, he had complete control over despite its massive weight. Overall, it was clear that the battle was about to go their way.
With a cry of "Megaton Hammer Crush!" Groundramon knocked the Octagon shaped Digimon away and caused an enormous shockwave to occur which began to distract the knight and Wingdramon flew up the sky and soared at an immense speed and crashed into the knight with a shout of "Wing Blast!" the sonic boom briefly stunned him and the knight was smart enough to understand the idea of a strategic retreat and under his breath unnoticed by all, he whispered "This is going exactly as planned, even though it was a last minute decision."
As the group finished off the Octagon Digimon by combining their attacks which pierced their body, they could see another group of Digimon approaching them, accompanied by another group of humans.
