Mari is not a good person. Not a traditionally good one.
Rosemon loves her anyway.
It's hard to explain how. Most digimon keep to themselves. Most digimon here don't have humans to love and cherish so there's too much to explain.
Other tamer digimon only respond to fighting. Mari smiles when she wins. So to Rosemon, it's simple. Mari will be happier the more she wins. So she'll just keep winning and Mari will be happy and everything will be perfect.
The problem is that she's wrong and it doesn't end up mattering anyway.
