Davis thought his life was going good, he had gotten the girl of his dream Kari to date him but after meeting their new teacher he and all of his friends are thrusted into an adventure they will never forget not just dealing with Digimon but Kaiju as well watch as Davis and the digidestined fight to protect both worlds and uncover the secrets of the Kaiju and their teacher's past

5. Love, Knowledge and Dueling 101

School had just ended for the DigiDestined. Yesterday's events were still in their heads, mostly Davis, Xeno, Kari, Xion, and Sai. since they had the displeasure of meeting Chaos Breaker and his minions.

"So, how are you feeling?" Tai asked Davis, who still has the bruise from when Jaden punched him in the face.

"I'm fine. I've been hit worse." Davis dismissed.

"I still feel like Jaden should apologize to you and Kari," Sora said she didn't like that Jaden just punched Davis and shouted at Kari before running away like a child.

"That's just how the guy operates," Kikyo said as she was heading back home, today was her first job as a teacher. "He's more Kaiju than human, and even then, Kaiju express and show their emotions differently than humans, and even when Jaden does act more like a human, it's usually when something bad happens or when he's vulnerable or when he's with loved ones."

"I don't care if he hits me at all or disrespects me, but yelling at Kari is something I don't like," Davis remarked.

"My opinion is just deal with it. Everyone has their own opinions. He doesn't give a crap what you think." Kikyo said before having a sad smile. "Besides, he's used to being hated by others by now." as she began to head on home.

"She's right, there's no point in arguing." Izzy said.

"If that's the case, I'm leaving like I said I'm done." Xeno said as he walked away from the group.

"Ah, see you later everyone." Xion said as she caught spirited to catch up with her brother

"Wait for me." Xia called out running after them.

"He's still a fresh breath of sunshine isn't he?" Matt said

"He's always been like that." Kari commented.

"He still thinks he can just walk away from his responsibility. Sooner or later he needs to accept that's apart of this." TK said.

"You can't just force Xeno to just accept this role, remember we all didn't have a choice cause we were sucked into the digital world with almost no possibility of returning and were forced to survive." Izzy told them.

"He's just being a baby," Yolei commented. "He should be proud to have an honor like this, I mean a chance to learn more about Digimon and Kaiju. I mean his dad was a researcher right?"

"Yolei, I don't think everyone is ok with having this kind of weight on their shoulders, and given Jameser's past with the Digimon you can understand where he's coming from," Cody said.

"True but eventually he has to face his past." Nobu said "I just wish he will sooner or later…eventually."

(Yuki-Muto House: Underground level)

Jaden was in the underground Lab, going over some files that he had to do. To say that he was frustrated and irritated isn't hard to say especially after what happened in the morning during his argument with Kagome

(Flashback)

During Breakfast, Jaden noticed Kagome was occasionally glancing at him, and whenever he looked her way she averted her eyes, resuming eating as if she wasn't looking at him. Eventually, Jaden got irritated and snapped

"Alright Kagome, what's your problem with me?" Jaden asked

Kagome didn't even reply as she continued to eat as if she didn't hear him at all.

"Girl, I asked you a question?" Jaden demanded as his eyes turned dragon-like

"Alice did you hear something, it's like an annoying buzzing noise," Kagome asked Alice.

"Nope, just the wind." Alice simply said as she ate her breakfast.

"Woman, I'm your fucking guardian. You will answer me," Jaden said as he turned into his dragon form

"I wonder what that noise is. It's really annoying me." Kagome remarked, not even showing any interest or fear at Jaden's dragon form.

Jaden, starting to lose his temper at Kagome raised his hand about to strike her but Keith grabbed him while Jaden just looked at Kikyo who just gave a sad expression and shook her head not to bother.

"Just answer the baby before he destroys half our house," Alice told Kagome, getting sick of Jaden's stupidity.

Kagome only frowned as she finally spoke. "What do you want?" She didn't feel sad for Jaden, it was hard to feel sad for someone like him who lost his temper like this.

"Why are you acting like this? Jaden asked with a sad expression

"Maybe because I don't want to talk to you right now, and if you did hit me I would have gotten a restraining order," Kagome said in a calm yet hostile voice.

Jaden sighed "Is this about what you learned recently?" Jaden asked

"Yes, you're a sad and broken man, who tried to kill his own family cause he was dying which is one of the most pathetic things I've heard." Kagome frowned. "Naraku had a much better reason to become a demon than you becoming Dragon."

Jaden glared "Don't ever, ever compare me to that filthy spider ever." Jaden snarled

"You know, I'll do you one better." Kagome smirked, getting in Jaden's face. "You're just like Prime Apocalypse and Chaos Breaker. You don't care about who gets hurt as long as it satisfies your goals. Your dragon half is proof of that."

"Kagome!" Alice slammed her hands on the table shooting to her feet.

Jaden just stood up and left the table and the room, so enraged, but holding enough anger before he killed one of his relatives out of a petty insult to his pride

"That was a very low blow Kagome," Keith said in a calm voice.

"Who cares, if it's the truth? Remember what he did in that other world back at Duel Academy?" Kagome scoffed

"Jaden wasn't himself. He was tricked into dueling and losing his friends, even Alexis." Alice argued.

"And we all know how that turned out didn't we?" Kagome retorted with a bit of sass in her tone

Kikyo had enough of this and smacked Kagome across the face, shocking Keith and Alice. Kagome held her cheek in shock.

"Enough, you have every right to be angry but what happened in the past is the past." Kikyo said in a calm and firm voice.

"Really? Remember when you had him attack Alice as a test and how he almost raped Maria, and that was in his dragon form, which is just like Chaos Breaker in everyone, like with yesterday when he almost attack Alice when she called out his pathetic bullshit!" Kagome argued.

Kikyo frowned slightly even though she couldn't defend herself or Jaden for those incidents as they were obviously in the wrong despite willing to do whatever it took to stop their enemies which only made both of them literally scum.

"Nothing to say? You always defend him regardless of how wrong he is and it's hard to pity and be sad for a man who can't even attempt to change. I mean, look at yesterday he hit a young boy defending his girlfriend, he would have done the same thing if it were you, Fabia and Alice but he's so blinded by his pathetic Kaiju pride that he can't see how hypocritical he is." Kagome said as she walked out of the room.

"Kami, this isn't how I wanted to wake up today…" Alice sighed, burying her face in her hands.

"I'm starting to get sick of this." Keith frowned. He knew this family for a long time but this drama needed to end, this family needed to attempt to actually resolve its issues, he may have been their friend but he was almost near his limit with how much no one even takes a step to fix it.

"Give her time. She knows that Jaden's a good man and he needs to look at all the good he's done with the bad." Kikyo said.

"Easier said than done, Kagome is right about one thing, you do defend him even when he's wrong." Alice commented. "I understand that out of all the bad he's done he's also done good, however he wants Kagome to see him as a father figure he has to learn from how he failed with his own children to even have a chance."

(Flashback end)

"Still upset?" Dharak asked.

Jaden didn't even answer as he clenched his teeth hard. 'I'm nothing like them, how dare she compare to them. I act nothing like any of those monsters.' Jaden thought.

"You ok?" Alice's voice asked from behind.

Jaden turned to face his wife who could see that Jaden was still hurt by what Kagome said.

"What she said, I know it hurts, don't worry give her time to calm down," Alice said.

"I know, but in a way she's right." Jaden said

"Well, of course," Alice said in an honest voice.

Jaden gave his wife a mock glare course he had an honest smile as he expected that answer from Alice. "Really? No hesitation at all?" Jaden said with a smile

Alice just smiled back. "If I'm not honest, then how can I be a wife?" Alice asked.

"Touche." Jaden said

"So what are you up to?" Alice asked

"Thinking of having the Duel Monsters card game invented in this dimension," Jaden said

"I remember you talking about that with Keith and Sakura." Alice said. "But are you sure? With Chaos Breaker in this world, making the game could lead to more trouble down the line."

"The final call goes to Sakura's boss but I'll be honest the moment that we entered this world and Kaiju and Digimon interacted. This world was already led towards more trouble." Jaden said "As I said before everywhere I go. I Bring nothing but death and despair around me."

"That's not true to an extent, but you Muto's always are involved with some world ending event." Alice commented.

"Maybe, but the days after my father and mother are over and my sisters aren't around and they just joined of their own will. It just follows me now." Jaden said

"That's because you chose to take it all while leaving them out of it. But you always end up forgetting that you're too alone in this battle. You got me and the others." Alice said as she wrapped her arms around Jaden; "I love you, and I will alway love you I don't care if you are human or kaiju I love Jaden Yuki Muto and Kagome feels that way too however you're not showing her you at all just a frustrated human and dragon who is angry all the time."

Jaden closed his eyes as he nuzzled his wife

(Nobu's House Sakura's clinic)

"Yes, sir, thank you, sir. Yes, me and Jaden will take full responsibility, ok goodbye." Sakura said before hanging up on her boss. "Fuck my life." Sakura cursed

"Is something wrong mother?" Haruka asked as she walked into the clinic.

"Oh, nothing just going over a proposal that both me and Jaden had that the fucking government needs to approve." Sakura hissed

Haruka could tell this sounded bad. "So… did they approve of it?" Haruka asked.

"Fortunately yes." Sakura answered

"But…" Haruka muttered knowing there always was a but to it.

"But me and Jaden have to take full responsibility for it if something goes wrong. We're still under fire because we lost Gururumon, and the battle Sai and his friends were in damaged public property and we're still trying to cover it up." Sakura sighed.

"Ohhh." Haruka grimaced "So what's the proposal?"

"Well, Jaden is having DragonCorps create the Duel Monsters card game from his world along with the solid vision technology," Sakura explained

"Like a hologram?" Haruka asked, because she didn't know everything about Jaden's world that was new to her.

"It's more than that, luckily Jaden's company was able to make 2 working prototype Duel Disks and even make some Duel Monsters cards. All he said was left to do was test them and he on his own would 'might as well have those brats test them out' so he'll be showing you and the other children them at his house tomorrow cause it's the weekend." Sakura explained.

"That sounds interesting; I'm pretty sure Izzy will drool over the thought of that kind of technology," Haruka said.

"I know, their technology and world is so interesting that I'm so excited to learn more about it." Sakura said,

"Dad would be too." Haruka said.

"Yeah… he would." Sakura said with a sad expression.

The next day, the final class had ended and since they hadn't heard from Veemon or the other Digimon the team decided it was time they go check up on them.

"Finally, I get to see the Digital World." Yolei said with excitement.

"Matt and Joe are busy with things so they won't be coming with us today." Tai told them.

"Hmph." Xeno huffed, with arms crossed.

"You are in a good mood," Xion said sarcastically

"I'm still angry that I destroyed dad's guns." Xeno huffed.

"Ni hao," Kagome said as she let herself in.

"What are you doing here Kagome?" Catherine asked

"I heard from Kikyo that you were going to the Digital World so I decided to invite myself, besides I'm still pissed at Jaden and he could go fuck himself for all I care." Kagome said as she gave an evil smirk

The team were taken aback by this response. Some of them wonder what had happened to make Kagome hate Jaden so much was finding out the truth about his past.

"Humans and their touchy-feely emotions," Yaamon said from within Xeno's backpack.

Kagome frowned "You're not the first individual who commented on us humans because of our emotions. I had to deal with a lot of individuals who commented on my humanity, so your comments mean little to me." Kagome snorted, referring to the various demons and kaiju she faced in the feudal era

"Heheheh, emotions make you weak and easily manipulated emotions have no purpose but to bring you squishy creatures down." Yaamon mocked,

Kagome gave a diabolical evil smirk as she let loose her reiki as soon as Yaamon felt the stung of her aura, he felt extreme pain

"What the hell is this, you disgusting primeape!" Yaamon shouted in pain.

The others could feel Kagome's aura and they were all taken back by it.

"What the hell are you?" Xeno questioned with a glare, he did not like this feeling at all.

"My partner is a trained miko, idiot." Nikko answered as she appeared on her shoulder as if she was mocking Yaamon

"Miko you mean those shrine maidens, sorry but I don't believe in that." Xeno shook his head.

"And why is that?" Kagome glared

"Cause magic doesn't exist I've read about the so-called spiritual power and junk but it's not true plus you don't really give off the Miko vibe just a college student having daddy issues." Xeno remarked.

Kagome without any hesitation raised her leg and kicked Xeno right between the legs

"Ahhh!" Xeno shouted as he fell to his knees in pain.

"That's what you get." Yolei commented.

"Fucking…" Xeno growled as purple electricity began to erupt from his body, as he shakily to his feet. "I don't usually kill females for you, I think I'll make an exception."

Xion then got in his face and glared at her brother who glared back, for a minute both gave a killing intent towards each other which caused some of the DigiDestined to finch. Xeno took a breath calming down as the lighting began to dissipate before it vanished.

"Tch." Xeno scoffed as he limped down the hall to the computer room.

"I'm sorry about him, he is still upset over losing Dad's gun and he wants to lash out at someone." Xion bowed.

Kagome smiled "Apology accepted. He's not the first person with a bad attitude I met."

"But I have to agree with him on one thing, Magic doesn't exist, the Digmon are made of data and data is a result of science." Yolei said.

"Then how would you explain the Kaiju?" Nikko countered

"Human experiments that were sealed away for possibly the last line of defense for our country since the government has been keeping digimon and kaiju secret while also experiments on them which explains why you are trying to capture Gururumon so you can experiment on her for a possible weapon," Yolei explained.

Nikko's eyes twitched and was about to lash out at her but Kagome calmed her "Easy Nikko," Kagome calmed her down

"Well to be honest that's not entirely off." Izzy said, if he didn't know about the Digimon he too would be skeptical and he would have some to the same concussion as Yolei. "You and Xeno need to be more open-minded. There are some things that science itself can't explain."

"Indeed, before my 15 birthday, I was just your average middle schooler," Kagome said.

"And what happened?" Kari asked.

"Would you believe me if I tell you?" Kagome asked with a smirk "Come on let's get the show on the road."

"How come the more we get to know them, the weirder they get." Davis muttered to Kari.

Kari elbowed her boyfriend "Davis that's rude and from their perspective, we're weird." Kari retorted

"Hey, give me a break, I'm still getting used to this Digidestined thing." Davis held up his hands in defense, he had only been a Digidestined for less then a week so he was still getting used to it.

"Kagome, I don't think you can come with us. You need a Digivice" Tai said

"From what I recall, Nobu took Jaden there before and he didn't have one either." Kagome saidt.

"Wait what?!" Tai said, looking at Nobu.

"Hey, you said I couldn't go without a digivice but Nobu was able to casually take Jaden then?" Davis shouted in anger at TK.

"We didn't know." Kari said

"Yeah, this is my first time too." TK added.

"What else is he holding out on us that his family knows." Tai frowned.

"So that means I can go as well." Xion smirked.

"Oh dear god." Xeno groaned

"Great, I was friends with Xion back in my world." Kagome grinned before turning to Xion, I hope we can become friends Xion."

"Long as you keep Jaden from causing more problems." Xion smirked.

"No promises, but then he and your brother have us two strong independent women to keep them in line, right?" kagome smirked

"That's right." Xion smirked.

'Fuck the both of them.' Xeno thought in annoyance.'They're already bonding.'

"Let's go, we're wasting time, the gate will close soon." Izzy told them.

"Right." Sora nodded.

The group arrived at the computer, where they were met by Nobu and to Davis's' dismay Jun.

"I can't believe Matty isn't coming with us." Jun complained.

"Don't Jun, I don't want to hear about your crush on Matt." Nobu frowned.

"None of us do, can't we just leave her Nobu?" Davis asked, not wanting Jun to come with them.

"That's life." Kagome

"Makes you want to kill yourself right human?" Yaamon said from his space in Xeno's backpack

Kagome frowned as she once again let loose her aura causing Yaamon to scream in pain

"Sooner or later, once I become Beelzemon again, I'll rip your flesh from your bones." Yaamon declared while yelling in pain.

"Hmm." Kagome muttered before having an innocent smile on her face "I doubt it. I've stared down worse than your Mega Form."

"Oh trust, one of these days I look forward to your demise and all of your dimises." Yaamon declared. "I wish those fools would have killed you all in that park."

"Shut up already." Xeno said as he took Yaamon out of his backpack.

The little Digimon was sweating heavily as it appeared he had burn marks on him.

"Huh, so that's what it's like when a Miko meets an ugly monster," Xeno muttered.

"I look forward to the day where you DigiDestined are killed, I don't need any weak humans giving me power." Yaamon glared at Kagome.

Kagome sighed "It's like dealing with a spoiled temperamental brat." she said out loud before turning to Xion "How do you deal with this and your brother?"

"The same you deal with Jaden. I just hope they kill each other." Xion muttered.

'How is Yaamon a Digidestined Digimon anyways, the way he talks makes you think he doesn't belong on this team at all.' Kagome thought. "Can we go now? I prefer to go without any more complaints from anyone," she said, staring at Davis and Yaamon, almost daring them to say anything.

"I just got to set everything up." Izzy said nervously as he began to type on the computer.

"That's fine with me." Kagome said with a happy smile on her face

'She's just a nutjob of a human, I can't wait to kill her when I get my powers back. Or maybe I can give this Chaos Breaker something so he and his minions can do it.' Yaamon thought.

"All set, we can leave at any time." Izzy told them.

Jun opened her backpack and took Xiaomon, placing her on the ground. "We're going to the Digital World Xiaomon." Jun told her partner.

"Great, I've been a little homesick since I got here," Xiaomon said.

As they were about to leave the computer room door opened revealing the kids' teacher Mr. Fujiyama. Jun and Xeno quickly hid their partners behind their backs which Xeno hoped Yaamon would keep his yap shut.

"Mr. Fujiyama," Tai said, wondering what he's doing here.

"Hey kids, I'm surprised you all are here doing last-minute work." Mr. Fujiyama said. "I wanted to have you know I become head of the computer club."

"But what do you know about using computers?" Tai, Izzy and Sora asked.

"Absolutely nothing." Mr. Fujiyama answered.

"Then find a new job you can actually succeed at." Xeno frowned.

"Wow." Kagome muttered "You're blunt just like a certain somebody that I know, straight and with no tact whatsoever." she frowned

"Cause it's common logic not to put someone who knows next to nothing about computers in charge of a class that calls for those skills." Xeno remarked.

Think fast Tai spoke. "Hey, Mr. Fujiyama, I want to talk about a few things." Tai said as he pushed Mr. Fujiyama left the computer room while rambling.

"Thanks Tai, I owe you a night out." Sora smirked.

"How incompetent of this school to allow people like him to be in charge of our education." Xeno scoffed.

"Oh like you care at all." Yolei frowned.

"Forget about that, let's go." Davis smirked.

"How did you get Jaden into the Digital World?" Izzy asked Nobu.

"Just did what we usually did to enter the Digital World." Nobu replied, without giving away too much information

"You're hiding something from us again aren't you?" Xion frowned slightly.

"Why are you surprised? After all, his mother works for the government who probably wants us all underneath their thumbs." Xeno frowned.

"Just have Kagome and Xion hold onto someone and they'll be able to go." Nobu told them.

"That simple? That means I could've gone without my digivice in the first place." Davis remarked.

Kagome held onto Nobu, ignoring Davis, wanting to get this trip started. Xion grabbed onto Xeno who glared at Nobu before they held up their digivices and before long they were sucked into the computer however as they left Yoko and Rito walked in having seen the light in the hallway.

"I swear when I say come here and that light." Yoko said as she walked in and looked around.

"Um, Yoko don't you think we should be going?" Rito suggested.

"No, I swear that Davis's little gang and Jaden's family are somehow connected to all that has happened one of my sources even told me of a possible connection to the shady companies DragonCorp and SoahcCorp." Yoko frowned.

"This is what I get for being with you?" Rito moaned

"Oh shut up Rito, we are going to take a trip to Jaden's house soon and get some dirt on him and his family," Yoko said as she walked out of the computer room with Rito following afterward.

"I have a bad feeling about this." Rito complained

(Digital World)

The group arrived in a meadow. Davis and Xeno were in the outfits that they were in last time, Xion wore a dark purple tank top under a black jacket and purple sleek gloves with a purple knee-high skirt and black leggings with dark purple boots. Jun also had a new outfit, she had a magenta long-sleeve shirt under a light purple opened vest and blue jeans and white boots. Yolei's outfit changed as well. She was now wearing a light blue turtleneck shirt under a tan vest with pockets on both sides in addition to white gloves, red pants that are puffy around the thighs held up by a black belt with a silver buckle, and tall light green and white boots with a zipper. On her head, she wears an orange helmet, made of a malleable material like leather. Cody's outfit changed as well. He was wearing a beige tunic buttoned up with a single square button, a wide collar and purple trimmings. He also wears a yellow undershirt with a high collar, purple pants, black socks, and brown and white slip-on shoes. Catherine wore a new red dress that went to knees with black legs and brown boots.

"Hmm, so this is the digital world." Kagome commented as she looked around.

"Hey, my outfit is different," Xion said as she looked over herself

"I know, right? Isn't it awesome?" Davis smiled

Kagome noticed that on her back was a bow as well as a quiver filled with arrows and she was dressed in the miko outfit that Kikyo wore. "Well at least I'm not completely defenseless." Kagome hummed to herself

"Wow, this world gave me new clothes." Yolei said, however, she noticed that she was wearing her glasses again. "Huh, it even gave me back my glasses."

"Hmph." Xeno huffed as her arms crossed.

"What do you have to say?" Yolei glared at Xeno as she saw he was dressed. "Wow."

"What? Impressed by how nice my outfit is." Xeno smirked.

"No, you just look more like a street thug than you did before," Yolei said flatly.

"I hate you so much woman," Xeno grumbled.

"This is quite fashionable," Catherine said, loving her new outfit.

"This outfit is amazing," Cody said.

"Not bad, I wonder if Matt will like it." Jun said, spinning around.

"You look good Jun." a new voice said, Jun looked at a new creature standing next to her it looked similar to Xiaomon.

"What?" Jun muttered.

"It's me Jun, I'm Larbamon, the digivolved form of Xiaomon," Larbamon said.

"She's right." Nikko said as she appeared on Kagome's shoulder "Interesting, it seems that Digimon revert to their rookie forms when in the Digital World but return to their In-Training forms back in the real world"

"Oh dear god that means." Kagome said, realizing

"Heh, well it's good to have legs again," Impmon said with his arms crossed as his scarf blew gently in the breeze.

"I remember when I was small I appreciated what my parents gave me." Sora commented.

"No offense Sora but you sound like my mom." Kari giggled.

Kagome gave an evil smirk. "Impmon, if you try anything or even think of anything I'll use you like a baseball bat." she grinned, smirking at the thought

Impmon without his back turn simply gave Kagome the middle finger with a small fireball on it showing that he didn't even care or was scared.

Nikko was enjoying the show. Unlike Dharak, Helios, and Hydranoid she could revert to her true form but only for a short time, and with 50% of her full power sealed away even with some of her power sealed away, she was still equal to that of an Ultimate Level Digimon to most Mega Level Digimon and that's due to her partnership with Cadence who was a Miko of the Reiki Family who trained her to conserved her energy during life in general. Course, she didn't want to reveal this secret yet to any of the others cause if she did Dharak would be furious along with Helios, not that she'll care.

"I wonder where our digimon are?" Sora wondered.

"Who knows, Agumon and Biyomon did say that the Digimon Emperor doesn't operate during night but it's been at least a few days since we've last been here." Kari said

"Yeah, I hope Veemon and the others are ok." Davis said.

"This area doesn't have that much Digimon Emperor activity, we should be safe for the most part." Larbamon explained.

"Hopefully but I believe we'll have company soon." Kagome said out loud as she glanced to the side as if someone was watching them

Impmon scowled, he knew the Digimon Emperor was watching them.

---

"Hmm, it's like our foes have returned with several more of them now." The Digimon Emperor said as he looked at the new arrivals but the one dressed as the miko was strange and his scanners were telling him she was giving off a foreign energy he had never seen before. "Interesting."

Just then Stingmon arrived back in the room and bowed. "The resistance is dealt with and they are all under your control." Stingmon reported.

"Good, our enemies have returned. And it seems like one of them is giving off a strange energy." The Digimon Emperor told him.

"Shall I deal with them?" Stingmon asked.

"Not yet. I have some other mons in mind." The Digimon Emperor said as he pressed buttons on his keyboard. "Snimon, Drimogemon, Mojyamon attack the intruders!"

Soon a Praying Mantis Digimon, a Mole Digimon and an Abominable Snowman Digimon were released from their cages and were each making their way towards the gang.

Back in the human world, Jaden walked back into the house to see Alice watching TV.

"How was your day?" Alice asked.

"Fine, where's Kagome?" Jaden asked

"She's at the school you're teaching at, wanted to see the Digital World," Alice said

"I see. Did she say when she'll come back." Jaden asked

"Nope." Alice shook her head. "She's trying every tactic to avoid you."

"I see." Jaden said with a sad expression "It's no wonder. I bet I've disappointed her." Jaden said as he gave a mocking laugh toward himself

"You disappoint all of us, so…. Yeah." Alice stated.

Jaden just smiled "Again without any hesitation at all." Jaden said

"Cause it's simply the truth, no point in hesitating on facts alone." Alice simply stated.

"By the way, where's Fabia?" Jaden asked

"I don't know, probably chasing after middle school girls somewhere." Alice shrugged, she really hadn't seen Fabia all day.

"No, she'll most likely chase high school girls. Kagome was an exception." Jaden said

"Jaden, to Fabia both are open season." Alice scowled.

"True, how does Rin even see her as a mother, I don't even know." Jaden asked himself

"I don't know, probably the same way why me and Maria love you but you end up hurting us all the time without thinking, some even say I should leave you and find a better man who treats me right," Alice said.

"The ones who said that would be your aunt and uncle right?" Jaden scowled

"Well there's also your mother, Mai, Serenity, your grandma, even Mira talks to Maria about finding someone better, even some Kaiju say to just leave you to find another mate." Alice said as she kept listing off people and Kaiju who told her those things.

"What about your family now that Prime Apocalypse is gone." Jaden said, still keeping the secret that his soul has merged with Prime Apocalypse

"My father and Wolf want you dead because of what you did to both me and Maria, you did try to kill me on Kikyo orders and you nearly raped Maria in your dragon form. Mother decided to stay neutral and tell me that if you want to kill him then so be it." Alice answered.

"In other words, what are your mother's feelings towards me?" Jaden asked

"She doesn't want to deal with you because she might find your weakness and slit your throat. That's why she wants to remain neutral and let us sort it out as a couple." Alice answered.

Jaden sighed "Tell me, your honest opinion since our time in the Feudal Era, has our relationship grown stronger or weaker?" Jaden asked

"If I have to sum it up in one word, I say stagnant." Alice answered honestly.

"I see." Jaden smiled "Thanks for answering me."

"You're welcome, I just hope we can make things work out cause I may love you but I don't forgive you for everything you did." Alice answered honestly.

"I understand," Jaden said. He laid his head on her lap

"We've had so many chances to make it work." Alice muttered with a sad expression.

Jaden listened and smiled "Indeed and they're right, you do deserve better, but I just don't want to let go of you. You or Maria." Jaden said

"Jaden, we don't want perfection or anything, we just want you to be there for us and those close to us. But sometimes I think you'll end up leaving us again, like when you left me for Kikyo in the feudal era and acted like you didn't care." Alice said.

"I'm sorry for what I did." Jaden muttered as he went to sleep while resting his head on her lap.

"I know…" Alice said as she rubbed his head.

Back with the others, who were still searching for their digimon partners, were at the top of the hill.

"Veemon, where are you? Veemon?" Davis called out to his partner.

Suddenly over the horizon they saw a silhouette running towards them. "Davis, Davis." Veemon called out.

"Ahh." Davis smiled as he ran to Veemon, dropping to his knees taking his partner's hand. "How have you been?"

"Pretty good, just evading the Digimon Emperor's evil enslaving rings, but other than that I'm fine." Veemon said. "Gatomon and the others are here as well." he said, turning around as on cue Gatomon, Patamon, Biyomon and Tentomon arrived as well.

"Sora." Biyomon said happily as she flew towards her partner who caught the bird digimon in her arms bring her into a hug.

"I'm glad to see you're ok, Biyomon." Sora smiled.

"Tentomon." Izzy smiled as he took both of the bug digimon's pincers.

"You're a sight for these green sore eyes." Tentomon said.

"I'm happy to see you again Kari." Gatomon smiled.

"I'm glad to see you safe, sorry I haven't been able to visit things that have been crazy back home." Kari told her partner.

"Did something happen?" Patamon asked TK.

"It's a long story guys." TK said.

"Who are they?" Veemon asked, gesturing to the new arrivals, he didn't recognize Nobu, Xion, Jun, Catherine nor Kagome along with Larbamon and Impmon.

"Does Tai have another sister?" Patamon asked, looking at Jun seeing how her hair looked almost as big as Tai's.

"No, she's not his sister." Kari answered.

"She's mine…." Davis grumbled to which Kagome sighed at his attitude towards his sister

"Oh, then I guess it's nice to meet you." Veemon smirked.

"I guess it's nice to meet you." Jun said, still not used to being around Digimon. "I'm Jun and this is my partner Labramon."

"Nice to meet you all." Labramon said.

"I'm Xion, Xeno's twin sister." Xion introduced herself.

"Hopefully you have better manners than him over there." Gatomon said, pointing at Xeno.

"Oh trust me, I do." Xion said.

"Fucking cat." Xeno muttered under his breath.

"You should watch what you say, cat's a vengeful creatures and they'll doom you for several life times." Kagome told him, remembering the incident with the panther demons

"Tch, that's a silly superstition made by cat lovers so cats can get more respect." Xeno scoffed.

"Actually it' not." Nikko smirked, "maybe someday we'll let you see Kagome's memories and you could find out whether it's superstition or not, dumbass." Nikko mocked

"If that's so I'll kill every single cat that comes for revenge." Xeno said not to be afraid of superstition.

Kagome sighed "You're hopeless." she said as she turned around "You and the devil definitely deserve each other."

"Why don't you go fuck that dragon man of yours." Impmon said.

Kagome smirked, "Tempting offer but he's not my type, I prefer canines." Kagome smiled, leaving Impmon flabbergast that his taunts wouldn't get to her

"Don't bother, just leave her to her beastiality fetish," Xeno remarked.

"Damn I'm starting to like you, besides my mother and Nobu's family, no one else is able to shut up my brother and his fat dumb mouth." Xion laughed

"Thanks." Kagome said.

"Enough of this." Nobu frowned. "I may tolerate you Kagome, but I don't want you starting things either." Nobu frowned.

"If you say so." Kagome said as she gave a mock salute

"You humans are so weird." Patamon commented, seeing this exchange.

"I don't think any of us will ever understand." Biyomon agreed.

"Back on track, who are you?" Gatomon asked Kagome, feeling a strange foreign energy from here. "You're giving off a strange energy that is making my fur stand on end."

Kagome smiled "Well, my name is Kagome and to be blunt I'm a Miko." Kagome answered

"Miko huh? I thought that was only for show to get human morality up." Gatomon stated.

"Nope." Kagome said empathizing the 'p'." I'm a genuine Miko."

"I guess that explains the weird outfit." Veemon said, nodding his head.

"Weird is too kinda of a word to describe what they've been through." Davis whispered to Veemon.

"Tch, this is the first time a weirdly dressed human walked this world in an outfit like that." Impmon muttered under his breath.

Kagome's eyes took a scowl "I heard that you three." she said as her face took a dark look as she glared at Davis, along with Veemon and Impmon

"Kid, you just have to stop speaking," Nikko commented, knowing her partners temper

"Enough of this, you all getting at each other's throats isn't going to help." Sora said getting between Kagome and the three.

"Fine." Kagome said

"Sorry." Davis apologized. 'She has a shorter temper then Xeno.'

"So are all of them digidestined?" Tentmon asked.

"With the exception of Xion and Kagome, only Nobu, Catherine, Cody, and Yolei." Izzy answered.

"So that Impmon is one of us?" Gatomon asked Kari, she could feel a dark force coming from him.

"Yes, unfortunately, he says he was once a demon lord." Kari said.

That got all the digimon present to just look at her in shock. "Did you say Demon Lord?" Gatomon asked in shock.

"How can a Demon Lord be a DigiDestined Digimon? They are the most evil of the digimon, they make Myotismon, and the Dark Masters seem like children compared to them." Patamon said.

"Really? Are they that powerful?" Kari asked

"Extremely." Kagome answered, "There're only 7 of them, and all of them except one are all Mega level Digimon."

"Hmph, it's about time that you all recognize the fact." Impmon smirked before turning to Veemon. "Especially you of all Digimon, Vee."

"I don't even know you." Veemon said "I just know of your reputation."

"Oh, but I know you, especially after you used that Mantle to armor Digivolve however it's not even half of what it was before." Impmon smirked.

Kagome focused her energy on Veemon and to her confusion Davis's Veemon wasn't the Royal Knight but a different Veemon, Impmon must have mistaken this Veemon for one of the Royal Knights. She smirked inward. But she wondered why he was sealed beneath. Could Davis's partner be more than meets the eye?

"So you know who I was?" Veemon questioned.

"Maybe, maybe not, but why would I tell a digimon who I will eventually kill." Impmon said before pointing at Veemon. "Ever since you've returned I've been waiting for the day I would finally delete you myself."

Veemon glared at Impmon who smirked.

'It's like watching Davis and Xeno.' Kari thought, as she could see parallels between both Digimon and her friends.

"Shocker, now I see why he was partnered up with you." Xion told her brother

"Heh, you know what, maybe this won't be bad afterall." Xeno said with a sinister grin.

"What?" Xion said

"Come again." Kagome asked

"Me and you don't like each other or our own kinds but we do share one thing, we both wish to surpass and defeat our rivals so why don't we fully team up to defeat them." Xeno offered Impmon.

Impmon just looked at Xeno before getting a sinister smirk of his own. "Truce, until they are both dead." Impmon said as he held out his hand which Xeno took.

"Well….there's goes any signs of peace." Kagome said before looking at Davis "Good luck and watch your back."

"I've never been afraid of Jameser and I'm not going to start now." Davis said crossing his arms.

"And I'm not scared of Impmon either." Veemon said matching Davis's posture.

"Oh boy, this is going to be the worst." Yolei pinched the bridge of her nose.

"Maybe for you but it's going to be an enjoyable show for me." Nikko smiled

"Don't worry, me and Xion will make sure they keep in line." Kari said, smirking at her long-time friend.

"Yeah." Xion said with a firm nod.

"Hmm." Impmon turned towards west. "Somethings coming…"

Kagome took out her bow as well and notched an arrow and aimed it at the west "And it's getting closer."

The DigiDestined got ready just as two purple energy blades approached. Kari quickly moved in front of everyone and tried to use her barrier however to her shock it didn't work.

"What's going on?! My powers aren't working." Kari said looking at her hands.

"What?" Xeno said as he tried to make black electricity erupt from his body but found out he couldn't "I can't either."

"Jaden forgot to mention it, but your Kaiju and your powers can't be used in the Digital World." Kagome scoffed at Jaden's stupidity for not mentioning that "Remind me to kick his ass later alright."

Kagome quickly created a barrier out of her own Reiki, however it cracked slightly.

'That's right, Jaden did tell me that my powers might weaken in the digital world much like how the Kaiju and the digidestined's powers wouldn't work.' Kagome gritted her teeth, her powers weren't gone at all she could still use them but they were weakened.

The purple energy blades approached the barrier and managed to destroy the barrier but it did its job regardless.

In the sky, Snimon was flying above them

"What is that thing?" Xion asked.

"Snimon." Kagome answered "And if I have to guess, he was the one who launched the attack at us." Kagome answered as she aimed her arrow at the Dark Ring on his body. "Now go." she shouted as she fired the arrow at Snimon

Snimon however slashed the arrow in half and didn't appear fazed at all by Kagome's energy.

'Tch, I knew it. My Reiki has been weakened considerably if even a Digimon based on a Kaiju like Snimon was able to slash through my arrow and not be fazed through it.' Kagome scowled in her thoughts.

"Spiral Twister!"

"Boom Bubble!"

"Super Shocker."

"Wild Fire!" Larbamon called unleashing a purple flame from her mouth.

"Night of Fire!" Impmon called launching a fireball from his pointer finger.

Snimon evaded all the attack and sliced through Impmon's attack leaving only embers behind.

"Lighting Paw!"

Gatomon shouted as she leaped into the air and delivered a punch to Snimon's head which did nothing as the insect digimon simply swatted her away with her landing on the ground hard.

"Damn it, without my tail ring I'm not strong enough." Gatomon muttered.

"My turn, Vee Headbutt!" Veemon shouted as he jumped at Snimon and struck him in the gut making the insect stagger for a bit however the blue dragon was swatter away landing on the ground hard.

"Ahhh, did somebody get the number of that truck." Veemon moaned in pain.

"Tch, Nikko have any ideas?" Kagome asked

"I think I can assume my true form, but not for long I'm afraid." Nikko answered.

"I know but I don't want to resort to that. Honestly, i knew my powers would weaken but not by this much." Kagome said

"I got this, Veemon time to Armor Digivolve." Davis said as he was about to take out of digivolve the ground began to give out beneath.

"Davis the ground." Kari called as she went over to him, however the ground gave out beneath them as they both fell into a giant pit, Davis was able to grab onto the ledge while grabbing Kari's wrist.

The child of light looked down and saw there was no bottom to it as all. "Hang on Kari, don't let go," Davis said.

"Oh trust me, I don't plan on doing so." Kari remarked, as she looked down and saw glowing red eyes, then a Digimon appeared revealing itself to be Drimogemon. "It's Drimogemon!"

"Davis."

"Kari."

Veemon and Gatomon were at the edge of the creature both showing worry for their partners. "Boomerang Bone!" a voice called out from behind the two Digimon turned only to see a boomerang-shaped bone coming at them and it knocked them into the crater, they both grabbed onto Davis's body making it harder to hold on to the edge.

"Too heavy…" Davis said stained teeth, as the ledge gave out braking as all four fell into the pit as Drimogemon grabbed them

"Guys." Kagome yelled as she ran to the edge and saw Mojyamon as well who eventually vanished into the darkness. Eventually the ground beneath Kagome collapse as well

"Kagome." Nikko yelled

Kagome was about to fall in; however something behind her grabbed her and pulled her back.

"You're sure are the same klutz as ever." Fabia smirked

"Fabia?!" Kagome said in surprise. "How did you get here?"

"What, no hello after saving you?" Fabia asked

"Thanks…" Kagome said.

"The ground, it swallowed them up…" Yolei said, falling to her knees petrified.

"I've seen enough, I want to go home," Cody said, also showing fear.

"Me too." Catherine said.

"Woah, great team you have there." Fabia said

"There are only kids, how do you think they would react?" Kagome said.

"New flash, we were kids as well and most of our friends and their parents were as well and they dealt with stuff ten no 100 times worse than this." Fabia said.

"Why don't you shut up! This isn't our world you bitch and these kids aren't those two and Tai." Kagome said, pointing at Izzy and Sora. "They are still new to this, and being afraid and wanting to go home is a very logical response to people who have some sense."

Kagome began to walk away.

"Ah, Kagome. Where are you going?" Izzy asked

"There has to be something out here that could help us." Kagome said

"First things first we need to get some distance from here." Nobu said. "Out here in the open we're targets."

"That's right, the Digimon Empeor might send reinforcements." TK nodded.

"Is something wrong Jun?" Larbamon asked her partner who looked at Davis and the others fell into.

"What am I going to tell our partners? They'll ground me for eternity if the squirt is killed." Jun muttered, not sure what to do.

"Stop babying, Motomiya and Kari are tough, they'll be fine." Xeno said in a firm voice.

"Indeed." Fabia scoffed

"I've known Motomiya long enough to know he won't go down without a fight, and I'll be the one to end him." Xeno said as he began to walk away from the group.

"Wait for me Human." Impmon said following him and Kagome.

"Let's go," Sora said.

As everyone followed after Kagome and Xeno, a lot of the group wondered what became of their friends and hoped they were alright.

Jaden suddenly got a shiver down his spine which usually meant that something bad happened to a loved one or that something would happen to him in the future, usually the latter

"Why does it feel like I'll be experiencing pain soon," Jaden muttered as he scratched his forehead

Jaden eventually went and visited his wife Alice in the bedroom

"Hey Alice, how are you feeling?" Jaden asked

"Fine, however, do you have a bad feeling?" Alice asked

Jaden nodded. "Yes."

"Hmm, something bad is going to happen isn't it?" Alice said with a sad expression.

"Yeah, to me." Jaden muttered

"And that's horrible why?" Alice smiled

"Can't you show me a little sympathy?" Jaden questioned.

"Every time I do, you do something that makes me take it back." Alice answered.

"Touche." Jaden said before changing the subject "By the way how did you feel when you were pregnant with Yami and Hikari? Cause I wasn't with you at the time nor was I aware."

Alice arched an eyebrow wondering where this came from. "I don't think you would understand, you're a guy after all, but I was shocked to find out I was pregnant, even though I tried hard to make sure I had protection," Alice said, remembering she took a tictac instead of her birth control pill.

"Had any mood swings? Or cravings?" Jaden asked

"What do you think?" Alice asked with an eyebrow arched.

"Thank god I dodged a bullet there." Jaden sighed "And another bullet when I impregnated you again with Valice and Eito."

"You mother!" Alice growled. "Dodge a bullet?! I expected when I got pregnant you would be there for me! Not only once but twice the second time was more on my stupidity sleeping with a psychopathic dead man!"

Jaden began to laughed out loud which further irritated Alice

"It isn't funny! I craved some of the weird food combinations, peanut butter and mayonnaise, a potato cheese and jam, pickles and chocolate, onions and cheese, I had cramps, I even broke a window in my house and hit my grandfather." Alice listed.

"Sorry, but when I first learned that I had children I was surprised, i was very prepared to be there for you when you were pregnant from beginning to end." Jaden said, telling Alice his true feelings for her

"Yeah right, and look where you went from there." Alice huffed.

"It's true, I was right outside your house, surprised that I have children." Jaden said as he held her

"Then why did you turn your back on us?" Alice said with tears in her eyes. "If you really wanted to be there for us, why did you walk away when you were just outside our house?"

Jaden sighed "I've already decided back then. Even then I made our daughter's names my passwords to my files." Jaden said

"Even if you did that, you never showed any signs of being there for them. Even for Eito and Valice, you were barely there. You were so consumed with the thought of killing Prime Apocalypse that you put it before us." Alice said.

"It's… it's because of you all I was consumed with beating him…" Jaden muttered. "I didn't want them or anyone else to live in a world where that monster was still roaming around waiting to kill, I was willing to become your enemy to make sure you and they were safe that's why with a heavy heart I severed my connections to you, Mana and the others to make sure you all were safe and I'm not proud of it."

"Jaden…" Alice muttered, in surprise.

"I hate myself Alice, if I did kill Mana on New Vestroia I wouldn't be able to live by myself, she believed in me more then hell even you. Having you and everyone hate me is a pain that cuts deeper than anything Chaos Breaker or Prime Apocalypse ever did." Jaden gritted his teeth.

"You do know you aren't alone right?" Alice asked. "Taking on the burden alone? There's only so much you can do alone, why do you think I should sit by and let you fight alone we're a team, Jaden."

Jaden smiled "Thank you Alice for always being there for me."

Alice smiled back "You're welcome, every king needs a queen to remind him what's right and what's wrong."

"By the way, why do you ask how my pregnancy was?" Alice asked out of curiosity.

Jaden gave a Cheshire grin. "Just trying to rile you up And see how you react."

"Oh good." Alice sighed. "I was starting to worry that you wanted another baby."

"Hell no, I'm already a father to four children." Jaden said "Besides we already have alot of ex already."

"What about Alexis, she hasn't dated anyone and she loves you too?" Alice asked with a small smile.

"We still see each other and have sex from time to 's currently a teacher at Duel Academy after all." Jaden said

"Has she ever thought about it? She's one of the only few I approve of?" Alice asked with a grin.

"Hard to say. And what do you mean approve of?" Jaden glared at "You telling me you don't approve of me having sex with Fabia, Shade, Rui, Elise, Chan, Kisara, Xion, Namine, Kairi, Maya, Joanna." Jaden started counting off the girls he had sex with

"Oh, I don't know," Alice said, looking away from him. "I'm surprised you even sleep with older women like Saya and Mika and the fact that you want to sleep with your own grandma…"

Jaden glared at Alice "Watch it. And besides, why do I always get attacked and not my sister Mana? After all she raped me and she took advantage of my feelings too." Jaden asked

"Ohh yeah, and I thought you were bold," Alice muttered remembering being told that Mana did rape Jaden along with taking advantage of his feeling it was a surprise they were even on good terms after that, however considering her brother does the same thing then it's understandable.

Jaden gave Alice a deadpan stare "Really? Why would you think that?" he asked "Is it because I like to charm women?"

"Charm? More like seduction considering you have me as a wife, it makes me feel like I am never enough for you." Alice huffed, crossing her arms.

"One, I made my intent to my sister clear that I love her as a brother. Two, there's nothing going on between us, and three, she took advantage of me, drugged me, and raped me." Jaden said

"Like with Maria when you nearly assaulted her?" Alice arched an eyebrow.

Davis heard a voice, his eyes lazily opened as the vision became clear he saw that he was chained to a canyon wall.

"What the?" Davis gasped in shock as he stared down to see that both he and Kari were chained down to a Canyon wall.

"I'm glad you're awake." Kari said.

"I'm glad you ok." Davis signed in relief.

Gatomon puked internally "Enough of the lovefest, this isn't the time or place."

"Gatomon, are you ok?" Kari asked in worry, she was happy to see that her partner was fine and didn't have a dark ring on her.

"Does it look like I'm alright?" Gatomon asked as she was also chained to the canyon wall

"Wait? Where's Veemon?" Davis said not seeing his partner anywhere.

"Hahahah, well it's good to see you three have finally decided to wake up." a laugh came from above them.

All three looked up and saw the Digimon Emperor standing on a cliff above them.

"Who is he?" Davis questioned.

"I think you already know who I am." The Digimon Emperor said.

"So you're the Digimon Emperor, you're a kid just like us." Kari said as he observed him, he looked to be the same age as her and Davis.

"I'm nothing like you bitch, and you and your friends have been a pain in my side." The Digimon Emperor remarked.

"Don't call her that! Why don't you fight me man to man instead of hiding behind an enslaved Digimon." Davis threatened.

"And what are you going to do about it? Get your Kaiju to fight me? He doesn't even acknowledge you?" the Digimon emperor scoffed with ridicule, shocking Davis

"You know about the Kaiju?!" Davis remarked.

"Kaiju?" Gatomon asked, looking at Kari.

"Long story." Kari said, it wasn't the time to explain anything.

"Enough of this! Where Veemon!" Davis demanded.

"I'll show you, but not because you asked. I was going to show you anyway." the Digimon Emperor said with a sick smile on his face

On the opposite side of the canyon the hatch appeared and Veemon appeared chained up as well "Hey, everyone, how's it hanging?" Veemon joked

"How can you crack jokes at a time like this?" Gatomon remarked incredibly.

"It just seems right." Veemon grinned

"Never mind the joke, Veemon armor digivolve." Davis said.

"Oh really?" The Digimon Emperor said showing Davis and Kari's digivices along with Davis' D-Terminal.

"Smooth." Gatomon said

"Bastard when I get down from here." Davis growled.

"I suggest you keep your mouth in check, or else…." The Digimon Emperor threatened as he took out a small remote and pressed a button on it.

Suddenly the clasps holding Kari's ankles unclamped, the child of light gasping in fear seeing that she was one click away from being a blood stain on the canyon floor.

"Kid, shut your mouth, if you really care for her you'll be quiet." Gatomon threatened

Davis growled as he looked up at the Digimon Emperor who had a pleased grin on his face. 'Damn it what are we going to do, Jameser, Xion come on guys.' Davis thought, hoping the others would come to help them.

Meanwhile, the others were walking through the forest with Kagome leading them however it seemed like they were wandering with no destination in mind.

"Do you even know where you are going?" Fabia asked.

Kagome sighed "My Reiki may have weakened, but it's still strong enough for me to sense something somewhere in this direction." Kagome said,

"Amazing so you can sense the energy of people?" Cody questioned

"Objects, people, etc." Kagome said."Whatever in this direction is familiar to what's coming from Davis's D-Terminal."

"Familiar with the Digimental of Courage?" Sora asked.

"But there's nothing out there, forest as far as the eye can see." Jun commented.

"Wait a moment, wasn't the Digimental of courage hidden in a cave?" Kagome asked

"Yes, that's where we found it." TK nodded.

"But I'm not there's a cave around." Izzy said.

"Nope, just the temple." Tentomon casually said.

"Of course." Nobu said

Xion turned to see the Temple. "Over there, just past the bush." Xion pointed.

"The next Digimental must be in that temple." Kagome said as she gave the insect digimon a glare "Why didn't you know of this?" she questioned

"You didn't ask." Tentomon causally said.

"And we didn't even know the Digimentals existed up until Veemon appeared so we didn't think there could be more out there." Biyomon added.

"Alright, I'll give you a pass." Kagome sighed

They approached the temple and Xeno observed it thoroughly. "This place is either Mayan or what you would find in Mexico," Xeno said, placing his hand on the structure. "Very well crafted."

"Interesting." Kagome said as she admired the temple

"One time our dad sent us pictures of a temple like this." Xion smiled. "Xeni over there would look at them for hours with wonder, along with him wanting to see them in person."

"Bitch." Xeno muttered

"You know calling her a bitch would just mean more trouble in the future." Kagome smiled

"We call each other curse names all the time, it's just how we deal with each other at most." Xeno shrugged.

"Can we please get going, your friends or acquaintances need help." Fabia said as she walked up the stairs

The others followed after and they entered into a small room at the top, however there was nothing there, the digimentals were nowhere to be found. Just some scattered rocks and murals.

"Are you sure they are here?" Jun asked as she looked around

"Hmm, my Reiki led us here, if we can't see them in plain sight. Then they must be hidden." Kagome said as she focused her energy in the room to see if it held any secrets

Xeno looked over to a mural, walking over to it it seemed to depict symbols however one of them seems to be incomplete. "I found something," Xeno said.

Kagome broke out of her trance and joined everyone

"Look at those symbols, one a heart shape and the other seems to be incomplete but one side is forming a circle with a line across." Xeno pointed out.

"I see." Kagome said

"Yes that makes sense." Nobu said, now understanding what the Digimentals are

"That symbol is Love." Sora said.

"And the complete symbols is…" Izzy as he looked around he found a lump of coal, and completed the symbol by drawing a smaller circle and putting a dot in it. "Knowledge.

Once Izzy completed the symbol, both began to glow red and purple as the room began to shake. Everyone tried to keep their balance as a secret panel in the middle of the room opened revealing a set of staircases going down into darkness.

"Look at the stairs." Patamon said, flying over to them.

"Where do they go?" TK asked.

"My guess, to the next level and hopefully to the Digimentals." Nobu said

"Hmph, well this is interesting." Xeno smirked as he, without hesitation descended into the darkness.

"Hey wait up human." Impmon said the following after Xeno.

"Oh boy, here we go." Xion smirked, shaking her head.

Kagome sighed as she followed along with the others. Once down in the depths they were in a long hallway with hieroglyphs that depicted many digimon and their language. Some of the DigiDestined were amazed by them.

"Amazing, I wonder what they mean?" Sora questioned.

"This is wonderful, this is very similar to Egyptian hieroglyphs." Xion commented as she rubbed her hand on the wall.

"Seems pretty boring though." Jun stretched her arms out, history and stuff like this didn't real excite her at all.

"Heart of Love, Vision of knowledge, to all of thieves that violate this temple who don't show these will be met with a fate not so pleasant." Xion read

"How did you know what you read?" Yolei asked curiously.

"Let's just say the old man left some knowledge behind." Xeno answered.

'Ominous warning. But what would happen if these qualities aren't met? I'll have to ask the others when I get back.' Kagome thought

As they kept walking down the hall, Kagome stopped suddenly

"What's wrong?" Biyomon asked.

"Let me guess, a trap that we have to go through?" Fabia asked

"Obviously.' Xeno commented as he looked around the room he walked forward and stopped, bent down to his knees and pulled at a small rope.

Suddenly the ceiling drops, smashing the ground a few inches away from where Xeno was. "Lesson number 1 of archeology, when entering a pyramid or temple be wary of traps." Xeno commented.

"We could have been digi pancakes." Patamon remarked.

"No doubt there's more, so be careful as we go along." Fabia said

The group continued their way walking down the hall and once again Kagome stopped

"Another trap? What is it this time?" Jun questioned.

Kagome slowly took out her arrow and aimed it forward and waited

The hallway was quiet and then the group heard a sound and it was slowly coming closer

"Wait, you hear that?" Catherine said holding a hand to her ear.

A boulder was heading their way. "Oh shit!" Xeno and XIon cursed at the same time, getting an Indiana Jones feeling, the others showed fear and shock as well

Kagome suddenly released her arrow which while not strong enough to damage a Champion-level Digimon was still strong enough to destroy a boulder completely.

"Well thanks for clearing the way." Fabia smirked.

"That was cool." Izzy said, he never thought that an arrow could destroy a boulder.

"How did you do that?" Jun asked in shock. "Any chance you can teach me?"

"I just put my Reiki in my arrows." Kagome said

"Luckily your witchcraft was strong enough to destroy that thing if it failed we all be stains on the floor." Impmon muttered.

"I'm not a witch, there's a big difference between a witch and a miko. Look it up." Kagome huffed

"A woman who controls that much power they then call it witchcraft." Xeno simply said.

Kagome stared at Xeno "You really are like the Xeno back in Jaden's world, it's no wonder why he annoys him so much." Kagome said, her eye twitching as Xeno also called her a witch as well

"I'm most stating a fact, in the history books when woman wield some kinda supernatural power they then consider it witchcraft and it's always been like that around the world regardless of what culture you live in." Xeno simply said as he walked past Kagome.

Kagome groaned as she followed with everyone catching up, eventually after passing many more traps and obstacles.

"Why did they have to make this so difficult?" Jun sighed sitting on the floor.

"Yeah, I'm tired." Larbamon groaned.

"These Digimentals better be worth it." Fabia scoffed, annoyed as they had to get passed a pit of fire

"Oh come on, isn't this too much?" Yolei groaned.

"Calm down, all we have to do is cross it." Xeno told Yolei.

"And how do you suppose we do that?" Yolei glared at Xeno.

"If I had my power, I would douse these flames with no problem." Xion muttered.

"And I could have flown you all over." Sora huffed.

"It's strange that in this room that even Tentomon, Biyomon and Patamon aren't able to fly." Kagome said

"If I had to guess, this room was specifically designed so flying Digimon wouldn't be able to cross." Nobu stated.

Kagome thought about what to do "Does anyone have a strong rope that I could use?" she asked

Everyone shook their heads.

"Nikko?" Kagome asked

"Sorry but I can't." Nikko answered.

"Fabia, do you have any ideas?" Kagome asked.

"A couple but not many." Fabia admitted

"It's better than nothing." Catherine stated.

"What are they?" Biyomon asked.

"Well, I've just noticed a pattern in the trap." Fabia revealed "Each one goes with those symbols."

"Hmm." Xeno said, looking at them. "She's right, there is a pattern. Look at the symbols along with the flames."

Everyone looked and they were able to see what they were talking about.

"Duh, it's so obvious." Yolei facepalmed.

"The flames correspond to the pattern on the symbols, so if we can memorize the pattern correctly we should be able to cross unharmed." Izzy said taking out his laptop which he was glad to have taken along using it to find the patterns and the exact time to move. "I got it."

"The question is who's to take the leap of fate first?" Fabia said, looking around.

"I'll do it." Xeno said, stepping forward.

"You're crazy…" Yolei said.

"What are you scared?" Xeno mocked.

"Oh! I'm not scared of anything, you go first and if you fail I'll go next and make it." Yolei shouted at Xeno.

"Stop flirting and go." Xion said.

Xeno stared at the flames, his glare narrowed as he watched the pattern. "Now!" Xeno's eyes widened as he ran into the flame everyone watched as Xeno landed on solid ground.

'What? An invisible floor?' Xeno thought, he didn't have time to think as he ran through the flames following the set pattern, sweat was pouring down his face gritting his teeth as he felt the fearsome flames.

He then saw the end of the fire path and jumped onto the platform on the end rolling on his back.

"He made it." Xion cried out

"He's either the bravest or the dumbest kid I've ever seen." Kagome commented.

"I'm not doing that." Jun said, crossing her arms. "That is something my little brother would do, but I'm not him."

"We have to cross, we just have to follow the same pattern as Xeno did." Nobu told Jun.

Xeno stood up and caught his breath. "Alright Princess, you said if I fail you do it, then show me that you aren't scared." Xeno called out to Yolei.

"Yes, why don't you do it?" Fabia smirked

"Uhhhh, can't I take a rain check on that…." Yolei chuckled sheepishly.

"You know what I'll go." Kagome sighed as she got into position

"Careful on the entry, there's an invisible platform." Xeno called out.

Kagome went and as she waited for the pattern, she ran through the flames following the set pattern despite the clothing that she was in. Eventually she was at the end of the path and jumped to the other side.

"Made it." Kagome smirked.

"You do know your Kimonos on fire right?" Xeno casually asked.

Kagome snorted as she just used her arrow to cut off the lit-up pieces before throwing them down into the pit revealing more of her legs. "Of all the clothing. This is what I'm dressed as." kagome sighed

"Alright, who's next." Xeno asked.

"Here goes nothing." Xion said as she waited for the pattern.

And just like Xeno and Kagome she ran through the flames, and she was able to make it.

Soon everyone did it until only Catherine, Cody and Yolei were left on the other side.

"Come you three are the only ones left." Kagome called out.

"Indeed, even Jun did it." Nobu said

"Only cause you pushed me in when the pattern was right." Jun growled.

"Yeah, maybe I should have pushed one of you three sap before I went," Fabia said

"I'm not sure if I can do this." Cody said being afraid to even try.

"Me either." Yolei added.

"J'ai trop peur pour essayer,." Catherine said in her native language which translated to: I'm too scared to try.

"Come on you three, show some guts!" Xeno shouted, clenching his fist.

"You three can do it, just believe in yourselves," Kagome told them.

"Yeah, we're right here for you." Sora called out.

"You can do it." Patamon said.

"Come on Woman, where's that stubborn determination you always show when you harass me to turn in my reports? Is it all for show or is it a facade?" Xeno called out to Yolei.

Yolei looked at Xeno and glared at him. "Facade?! I'll show you a facade you juvenile delinquent!" Yolei shouted as she looked at the flames intently.

Seeing the pattern Yolei jumped into the flames losing her balance slightly before she ran forward, she covered her face trying to protect it from the fire. She then tripped over her feet.

"Ahh! She tripped." Jun gasped.

"Yolei." Cody called out from his end.

Despite falling she quickly got back up and ran as fast as she could seeing the pattern starting to change, seeing the path closing Yolei jumped with all of her might trying to grab the ledge however missed she closed her eyes fearing for the worst to feel someone grab her arm, opening her eyes and saw it was Xeno grabbing her arm.

"Hmph, don't make this a habit of me saving you." Xeno smirked as he pulled her up.

"You ok?" Xion dropped to her knees patting Yolei on the back.

"Ahhh… just…. Peachy…." Yolei said between breaths.

"Well, it's just the two of you now." Kagome said "Come on the two if you could do it."

Both Catherine and Cody looked at each other, before looking at the flames. "I'll go first." Catherine said, building up the courage.

Stepping forward, she took a breath and looked at the flames seeing the pattern she jumped into the fire before sprinting down the path, she wiped the sweat off her face as she ran through she jumped onto the other side.

"Ahh, Je pense que je sais à quoi ressemble un pieu quand il passe au four." Catherine sighed in relief.

"What did she say?" Biyomon asked, not familiar with French.

"She said, "I think I know what a steak feels like when it goes through the oven." TK translated.

"That's what most enemies probably feel like after being incinerated by Helios." Kagome said "Only replace the oven with the sun."

"Alright, Shortstack it's your turn." Xeno called out.

"Ahh, come on Cody I know you can do it like me." Yolei encourages Cody.

"Hmm…." Cody mumbled as he looked at the flames.

"Cody, I understand that you're afraid." Izzy spoke up. "I've been that way before."

"You have?" Cody questioned.

Izzy nodded. "Yeah, four years ago when I entered this world I was both scared and fascinated by it and the Digimon that I wanted to know more despite being scared." Izzy smiles as he looks down at the flaming room. "Even this flaming room is fascinating, even now I'm curious how the flames have continued to rage even after all the years this temple has been standing, you feel the same way don't you?"

"Uhh… yeah…." Cody sheepishly nodded. "I'm scared but at the same time I am curious about this room and this world, I like to have all the answers before I have a concussion."

"Good, then if you need help understanding, just ask me and I'll help you." Izzy smirked.

Cody nodded, as he looked at the flames he was both scared and curious as the flames danced before his eyes. Taking a deep breath, he jumped into the fiery pit. He followed the pattern that the others took, fear was coursing through his veins as he ran through.

"Come on Cody, you're almost there." Yolei said as she watched her friend run through the fire.

Cody was close until a wall of fire got in his way. "Ahhh!" Cody shouted.

"What happened?!" Jun questioned.

"The pattern just suddenly changed." Xion said in fear.

"Cody." Yolei called fear.

"Kagome, your sacred arrow." Fabia told the miko. "Use it to cut a path through the flames."

Kagome however already had an arrow out and fired a sacred arrow through.

"Cody the path is open, run!" Izzy shouted.

Cody ran as fast as he could as the walls of fire began closing behind him, just as they closed Cody jumped forward reaching out for the ledge only missing by an inch; however, Nobu was able to grab his coat as the young boy dangled over the pit.

"Good catch." Kagome complimented.

Nobu pulled Cody up as the young kid took a breath of relief.

"Well, that was the last trial." Kagome said

"I was hoping for more." Xeno said, however, Yolei punched him in the arm. "Hey!"

"Idiot." Xion muttered

"Come on Xion, you have to admit the rush of danger when traveling through this place doesn't excite you." Xeno smirked.

"It was great, however, our friends are in danger and time is of the essence." Xion frowned

"Indeed." Kagome said.

"Down there." Xeno pointed down a door corridor. "Our prize is that way."

"What was your first clue Einstein," Fabia said sarcastically.

The group walked down the corridor, at the end they were in a large chamber that was shaped. On the wall were more murals of Digimon in battle with both symbols of Love and Knowledge on the floor.

"Amazing." Xion said as she looked around. "This must be what dad felt like when he made a discovery."

"Yeah." Xeno agreed.

"Look over there." Kagome said as she pointed her finger

Everyone looked to where she was pointing on two pillars were the digimentals they were searching for.

One of them was a bulky, loosely egg-shaped object with a point on the top, and on it was the symbol for Knowledge.

On the other pillar was a bulky, vaguely egg-shaped object with two wing-shaped protrusions and on it was the symbol for Love.

"I take it that those are the Digimentals for Knowledge and Love?" Fabia asked Nobu

"Yeah." Nobu nodded.

"So what do we do now?" Catherine asked.

"Well, Motomiya was able to move one, so someone has to move them." Xeno answered.

Izzy and Sora tried to move them however much like Tai they wouldn't budge. "It's no use." Izzy stated.

"We can't move them." Sora said.

"Hmm, let me try." Catherine said as she tried to pull Digimental of Love however she wasn't able too. "Oh les rats, je ne peux pas le déplacer."

"Xeni?" Xion looked towards her brother.

"No thanks." Xeno shook his head.

"Remember only the ones most worthy and take them." Kagome said, remembering what the mural said.

Sora and Izzy looked at each other and nodded. They turned to face Cody and Yolei.

"Yolei, I think you should try." Sora said.

"You too Cody." Izzy said.

That surprised the two, however they moved forward both taking a digimental. And without effort, they removed them.

"Huh? With Motomiya he actually had to put effort into it." Xeno commented.

Suddenly red and yellow pillars of energy everyone watched as two Digimon Appeared in them, one was a bird Digimon and the other was an armadillo. Both opened their eyes before they happily jumped onto the floor.

"Wohoo." the bird digimon said. "My name is Hawkmon, and I was getting a cramp underneath that rock."

"Howdy." The armadillo digimon greeted them. "My name is Armadillomon, why did you wake me up? I was having a nice nap." Armadillomon yawned.

"Hawkmon and Armadillomon huh?" Kagome remarked.

"Much like Vee's species, these two are supposed to be extinct." Impmon frowned, crossing his arms.

"Interesting." Fabia hummed

"Greetings everyone." Hawkmon said

"Howdy." Armadillomon said.

"So you two are the ones who removed the Digimentals?" Hawkmon said, looking at Yolei and Cody.

"Ah, Yeah." Yolei said in a hesitant tone

"Huh, you're pretty small but much bigger than me anyway." Armadillomon smiled.

"Uh, thanks." Cody said, not really sure how to take that as a compliment or insult.

"I have a question. Do you two remember how you got underneath the Digimentals?" Nobu asked.

"Not a clue." Armadillomon said as he shook his head

"I don't know either." Hawkmon said

"I guess like Veemon, they don't have any memories." Biyomon commented.

"Indeed." Kagome said as she tried to focus her senses on both Hawkmon and Aramdillomon and found nothing worth noting. 'Strange, besides the Digimentals, why would they use Digimon thought to be extinct? I could understand Veemon since his evolutionary line leads to members of the Royal Knights but not these two, there has to be something that I'm missing here.' Kagome thought,

"So if you are my partner, then I'll fight by your side." Hawkmon told Yolei.

"But I don't fight unless it's with my sibling over snacks." Yolei stated.

"Don't you fight Xeno every day over things?" Xion asked, not a physical fight more of a verbal fight that would last for hours. "What about the Tyrannodrones?"

"But that's different." Yolei said.

"I used to be just like you, I wasn't really a fighter," Kagome told Yolei. "But even so that didn't stop me from protecting people I love and care for, and I can tell you are the same way. As I saw you run through the fire I knew you do feel similar."

"She's right, I have a friend Mimi and she was like you. She didn't like to fight either, however she was also strong and at times showed that she was brave to fight for others even if the odds were against her, she did for the digital world and us." Sora told Yolei.

"Hmmm." Yolei hummed, thinking about what the two had told her.

"I don't like fighting either, but I still get into street fights to babysit, Xeni, Davis and Sai." Xion commented,

"What the fuck woman." Xeno shouted "They didn't need to hear that bit."

Kagome sighed "The point we're making is, that if you hate fighting that's fine. But it still shouldn't stop you from being there to help the people you love and care about." Kagome said

"Right." Yolei nodded.

"And remember what I told you right Cody? And you told me that the digital world left you curious." Izzy said.

"Yeah, I am very curious about the world, but I'm not really sure what to do." Cody said.

"Then stop using logic and follow your instincts shortstack," Xeno told Cody with his back turned. "Sometimes logic is never enough to find real answers. You need to take a chance and follow your instincts to come to a conclusion."

"Oh, you're giving advice?" Kagome arched an eyebrow.

"It's simply a fact that there are times when logic and reason lead to more dead ends than solutions." Xeno remarked.

"That's true." Fabia agreed

"You actually agreed with him?" Jun questioned.

"It's no different from fighting when logic and reason don't work. You have to rely on Instincts." Fabia said as she gave an example

Cody looked at Xeno then at Izzy, before he nodded.

Yolei and Cody turned to Hawkmon and Armadillomon as red and purple lights shined out of the Digimentals.

"In order to have us Digivolve you must say Digi Armour Energize." Hawkmon informed them.

Yolei and Cody looked at each other and nodded, both their expressions turned stern.

"Digi Armour Energize!" Both exclaimed.

The symbol of Love appears in stream of data which where both Hawkmon and the Digimental of Love appears as well

"Hawkmon armor digivolve to!" Said as he and the digi egg meet in the middle of the symbol of Love.

Hawkmon is then encased in wind as the images of the Biyomon evolution line (Biyomon, Birdramon, and Garudamon.) as Hawkmon's body changes in the wind taking shape.

Then blades extended from Hawkmon's new body, hands, and head freeing him from wind revealing his new form.

"Halsemon the Wings of Love." As Halsemon said as a hurricane blew in the background

The symbol of Knowledge appears in stream of data which where both Armadillomon and the Digimental of Knowledge appears as well

"Armadillomon armor digivolve to!" Said as he and the digi egg meet in the middle of the symbol of Knowledge

Armadillomon is then encased in stone as the images of the Tentomon evolution line (Tentomon, Kabuterimon, Metgakabuterimon) as Armadilomon's body changes in stone taking shape.

Then drills smashed from Armadillomon's new body, hands, and head freeing him from the stone and revealing his new form.

"Digmon the Drill of Power." As Digmon said the rocks appear behind him.

Everyone watched with amazement at the two new digimon before them.

"Now let's go find the others." Digmon told them.

Meanwhile back with Davis, Kari, Veemon and Gatomon who were all still binded to the cliff side.

"What do you plan to do with us?" Kari questioned.

"Now that's a good question." the Digimon Emperor said "I seem to recall you saying that i'll slap. a Dark Ring on me. So, I'll slap a Dark Ring on you and see what'll happen." he stated

Kari's eyes widened in both worry and fear hearing those words. "Hey! Leave her out of this. If you want to do that, then do it to me." Davis said, hoping to spare Kari that kinda of fate.

The Digimon Emperor glanced at Davis before eyeing Veemon "Well, I think that could be arranged then." he said as he snapped his finger before a Dark Ring slowly floated towards Veemon.

"Hey, you wouldn't want me as a slave, I'm horrible, I have no good skills," Veemon remarked. "You might as well destroy me now."

"As you wish." the Digimon emperor said

"Woah, take it easy there. I was only kidding, it was just another joke." Veemon said

"Can't you keep your mouth shut for a second." Gatomon berated him.

"Veemon!" Davis called out as he tried to break free.

"And don't think I forgot your little girlfriend." The Digimon Emperor said as another Dark Ring appeared as it slowly floated towards Kari.

"Kari!" Davis shouted.

"Kari, don't worry!" Gatomon said as she tried to break free.

Kari closed her eyes and pulled her head back in fear.

"No! Stop!" Davis growled and gritted his teeth.

"Nikko." a voice called out

Suddenly a blast of lightning was shot that destroyed both Dark Rings

"Hmm." The Digimon Emperor frowned looking up, seeing Nikko in her true form. "Now I see everything."

"Guys, are you both alright?" Kagome called out

"Do we look like we're ok?" Kari said with a bit of frustration.

"Well, you're about to be in 3…2…1" Kagome counted down

Suddenly cracks appeared behind Veemon before Digmon burst through freeing Veemon "Sorry to burst in like this." Digmon said

"You could have knocked." Veemon said

Nikko launched a burst of lightning, freeing Gatomon from her confinement

When Digmon landed on the ground with Veemon along with Gatomon

Halsemon came and fired lasers from his eyes to destroy the confinements on both Kari and Davis making them both fall, however Nikko was there for them to land on safely.

"You're welcome." Nikko said

"You could've come much sooner." Davis sighed in relief.

"We wanted to, but the Digimentals were in a temple and they were guarded by obstacles and traps." Kagome groaned

"Wait! Our Digivices." Kari told Kagome.

The Digimon Emperor turned only to see both Xeno and Impmon standing before him.

"So you're the Digimon Emperor? You don't look like much." Xeno commented.

Stingmon appeared before the Digimon Emperor "you'll have to get by me first." Stingmon declared

"Hmph, this little pest has come to play." Impmon commented.

"I'll watch what you say." Stingmon countered

"Oh I'm so scared." Impmon mocked. "The little Digimon Emperor is hiding behind his pet bug like a coward."

"Give back those devices and I may let you live." Xeno threatened.

"And what can you do to me?" the Digimon Emperor frowned, not liking being threatened. "From where I'm standing your numbers and out match, I should have killed those two when I had the chance."

"The only one who kills Motomiya will be me, you are just in the way." Xeno said with a glare.

"Enough of this! Stingmon!" The Digimon Emperor ordered

Stingmon stepped forward ready to fight, Xeno and Impmon stood their ground neither scared of the champion-level Digimon.

"I'm not scared of overgrown bug, I'll squash you and your little master." Xeno said, not even phased by the attack.

"Try it." Stingmon said, as he quickly vanished, taking Xeno by surprise and quickly delivered a flurry of kicks knocking him on his back

"Ahh!" Xeno gritted his teeth in pain.

"Hmm." Impmon looked at Xeno before looking at Stingmon. "Hmph, let's see what you got." Impmon said, making a hand gesture.

Stingmon knew that Impmon was goading him, but he was still a Demon Lord.

"What's wrong? You're a champion, right? You shouldn't be so wary of a weak rookie like me." Impmon smirked.

"Just end him." The Digimon Emperor ordered.

Stingmon obeyed and flew towards Impmon and thrusted his energy blade at Impmon who just sidestepped him. Stingmon then quickly delivered a flurry of kicks at Impmon, the devil child was barely able to dodge many of them, Stingmon unleashed a side kick which Impmon jumped over landing on his leg before shooting forward at Stingmon, his foot connected with the bug Digimon's face which Stingmon caught as he flung him to the side. However, Impmon just landed on the ground

"Is that all? I got some bad news for you, if that's all you really got then you're just a waste of time." Impmon mocked.

'Amazing, he's able to dodge all those attacks.' Xeno thought as he slowly stood up, he looked at the Digmon Emperor who seemed to have forgotten about him and was paying more attention to Impmon and Stingmon.

"Night of Ice!" Impmon shouted as the ball of ice materialized on the tips of his fingers. "Take this Bug Boy!"

Impmon unleashed his attacks at Stingmon however he seemingly had missed their target,

"You missed." Stingmon said.

Impmon only smirked. "As Beelzemon, I never missed."

Suddenly Stingmon felt his balance failing as he started to fall backward before he caught himself to his shock the ground beneath him was covered in ice. 'He wasn't aiming at me at all.' Stingmon thought in surprise.

"Hey bug boy!" Impmon shouted, Stingmon turned to see Impmon deliver a dropkick to his gut with the ice and the momentum, sending him siding back landing on the ground with a hard thud.

Impmon backflipped and landed on the ground, his scarf blowing in the breeze. "Hehehe, I may not be able to digivolve but that doesn't mean I can't outsmart stronger opponents" Impmon mocked.

"Grr, Stingmon! You fool! Get back up and delete that rookie reject, you should be more powerful!" The Digimon Emperor shouted in anger.

"Hey!" Xeno voice's came, the Digimon Emperor to see a fist flying at him striking him in the cheek the force behind it caused him to drop the Digivices and D-Terminal into the canyon.

Yolei swooped in on Halsemon and grabbed them. "Thank you." Yolei smirked.

"Let's see how tough you are without your pet protecting you." Xeno remarked, ready for some payback.

The Digimon Emperor growled, as he cracked his whip and struck Xeno in the side of his face making the boy yowl in pain.

"Ahhh! You fucking bastard!" Xeno wailed, holding his face.

"Snimon." the Digimon Emperor called as Snimon hovered in the air

"Mojyamon!" at his call, Mojyamon arrived.

"Drimogemon!" at his call, Drimogemon arrived.

"Snimon slash this pest!" The Digimon Emperor ordered.

Xeno looked up and saw the mantis Digimon heading his way, but Nikko tackled the mantis into the cliff.

"You're welcome." Kagome said.

"Fuck you…" Xeno groans, still holding his face still in pain from having it whipped.

"Let it go this time Kagome, he was just whipped in the face." Nikko said

"Yeah." Kagome said before glancing down. "Guys, you might as well get moving. I can't keep this up for long." she shouted at the group

Halsemon landed and Yolei hopped off and gave Davis and Kari their digivices.

"Thanks Yolei." Davis said before looking down at Veemon. "Time for some payback."

"Got that right." Veemon grinned

"Digi Armor Energize." Davis shouted

(Digi Armor Energize Sequence)

The symbol of Courage appears in stream of data which where both Veemon and the Digimental of Courage appears as well

"Veemon armor digivolve to!" Said as he and the digi egg meet in the middle of the symbol of Courage.

Veemon is then encased in flames as the images of the Agumon evolution line (Agumon, Greymon, Metalgreymon, WarGreymon.) as Hawkmon's body changes in the flames taking shape.

Then blades extended from Veemon's new body, hands, and head freeing him from flames revealing his new form.

"Flamedramon the Fires of Courage." As Flamedramon said as flames burst in the background.

The battle began with Halsemon and Yolei taking to the air to fight Snimon, Digmon and Drimogemon drilling underground. While Kagome jumped off of Nikko as Nikko reverted back to chibi form and flew into Kagome's arms.

"Thanks for hanging in there, Nikko." Kagome smiled, "You did great."

"Ahhh, I'm exhausted, even being in my form for 10 minutes was a hassle." Nikko complained, like a bitch as Dharak would say.

"Icicle Rod!" Mojyamon shouted as he threw a rod of ice toward the group

"When it comes to fire versus ice." Flamedramon started as he grabbed the ice rod in his claws before he melted it "Fire always wins." he grinned, shocking Mojyamon before flames engulfed his fists "Knuckle Fire!" he shouted as he launched four fireballs towards Mojyamon

The fireballs hit Mojyamon engulfing him in flames as well as destroying the Dark Ring, freeing him from the Digimon Emperor control

"You did it, you destroyed the Dark Ring." Davis said.

"Twin Sickles." Snimon roared as he launched twin energy blades at Halsemon.

Halsemon did a barrel roll out of the way of the attack, while Yolei yelled in horror from the action. Halsemon steadied himself as he flew at Snimon.

"Time for Tempest Wave." Halsemon stated, as the wings on the side of his helmet glowed red before unleashing two beams at Snimon, they hit the Dark Ring with excellent precision, destroying it.

Drimogemon drilled down through the earth at high speed and broke through the rock into a cavern with Digmon waiting for him.

"I guess we're the drill team." Digmon remarked, before he attacked. "Gold Rush!"

Digmon fired his drills at Drimogemon who cried as the drills stunk him, exploding impact and creating a smoke cloud as the Dark Ring was destroyed.

"It's over, surrender." Kagome told the Digimon Emperor.

Xeno and Impmon fell in line behind her, the Digimon Emperor frowned in anger, as Stingmon landed beside him.

"This isn't over, next I'll kill all of you, especially the goggle head, his girlfriend and you." the Digimon Emperor warned glaring at Xeno and Impmon more than Kagome, taking out a flash grenade throwing it at the ground, the brightness blinding the four of them when it died down the Digimon Emperor and Stingmon were gone.

"Ugghh, I'll kill him next time." Xeno said, still holding his face.

"Xeni." Xion called as she and the others arrived. "Are you ok?"

"Do I look like I'm ok? I got whipped in the face!" Xeno shouted in anger, as he removed his hand revealing a red mark across his face.

"Ohhh, you should get that iced." Yolei said feeling sorry for Xeno.

"I don't need your opinion woman." Xeno frowned.

"You know what, it's hard to be sad for a sorry boy like you scarred face." Yolei huffed, turning her back.

"You damn bitch, you weren't on the freaking receiving end of a whip. You don't know how painful it is!" Xeno shouted in anger.

"He has a point, being whipped is painful, especially in the face." Kagome concurs

"I'm glad you all came when you did." Kari said. "I was moments from having a Dark Ring around my neck."

"Kinky." Fabia grinned

"It's not funny." Kagome shouted.

"He also threatened to drop Kari into the Canyon." Davis said clenching his fist

"That was your fault." Gatomon argued, "If you didn't antagonize the guy.".

"Hey you saying it's my fault?" Davis questioned in surprise.

"Well, our friends were coming to rescue us, if you didn't antagonize him he wouldn't get any ideas for that." Gatomon growled

"Gatomon." Kari said in a soft yet firm tone.

"No this has to be said." Kagome said as she shook her head "Actions have consequences. A little later and who knows what would have happened."

"You think I don't care about Kari? Is that it?" Davis questioned.

"I'm not saying you don't." Kagome said

"No I understand, Maybe I don't deserve her or to be on this team." Davis said his head down, and then began to walk away.

"Where are you going?" Jun called out.

"Where else home." Davis answered.

"Davis, wait for me." Veemon ran after his partner.

"Davis…" Kari muttered.

"Hmmm." Xeno hummed.

"Dear god. This is such a trainwreck already." Kagome muttered

"Next time maybe you should refrain." Fabia suggested. "I'm not defending the boy's actions, but you need to remember these are just kids and when do kids not speak their minds about things?"

Kagome stared at Fabia in anger "Y-you, you bitch you're such a hypocrite." Kagome said

"I know." Fabia smirked

"Give Davis some time, Kari, he just needs to think." Xion said, putting her hand on Kari's shoulder.

"Yeah you're right." Kari smiled

"That reminds me, how did you come to the Digital World?" Kagome asked Fabia

"With this," Fabia said as she revealed some kind of bracelet.

"What's that?" Tentomon

"Oh, a new invention that Jaden created. It's an upgraded version of the bracelet that let us travel to CyberSpace back in our worlds." Fabia said "Jaden modified it to access the Digital World and the best part is I could go in even if the gate is closed."

"Prodigious." Izzy commented as he observed the bracelet. "So you can enter the Digital World without the need of the digivice or someone to hold onto."

"Yes, and he's currently creating some for those who don't have Digimon yet including himself." Fabi said "Also he'll make a bunch for you as well."

"Good, then I won't have to rely on my brother to get me here." Xion smirked.

"Bad, if Xia hears about this, she's tried to steal one." Xeno commented.

"Jaden thought of that after encountering her, they're locked onto our DNA Code." Fabia said "That means that each bracelet can only work for the user is genetically Linked to."

"That won't stop Xia." Xion muttered, Xeno nodded in agreement that the two of them knew their sister.

"What is she going to do? Beg Jaden for a Kaiju or guilt trip the guy for a bracelet." Fabia asked

"No, she's probably stealing a blood sample from one of you by taking the bracelet and hacking into them before rewriting it into her own DNA code and Xia is able to steal just about anything, I wouldn't be surprised if Jaden found out his wallet is gone by now." Xeno stated.

Suddenly the bracelet emitted a holoscreen which displayed Jaden which apprised everyone of course Kagome was still pissed of at him

"Cool hologram." Yolei stated in amazement.

"I'm communicating with you." Jaden said from his end

"What do you want?" Kagome frowned, not really wanting to see him.

"What? no hello?" Jaden asked

"Hello Jaden, the bracelet works like a charm." Fabia said.

"Hey, asshole, why didn't you tell us our Kaiju nor our power will work in the Digital World?" Xeno said

"I was about to, but a majority of you were already pissed at me." Jaden said

"Pissed or not, that is vital information you know." Xion said with a stern frown.

"Yeah, my bad." Jaden said

"Yeah, my bad…" Xeno mocked under his breath.

"Speaking of Kaiju, the Digimon Emperor somehow knows about the Kaiju." Kari informed everyone.

Jaden's eyes narrowed at that bit of information "Interesting."

"Are you sure?" Sora asked Kari.

"Yes, that's what he told me, Davis, Veemon and Gatomon." Kari nodded.

"Where is the brat?" Jaden questioned not seeing Davis or Veemon anywhere.

"Motomiya is currently thinking about something, end of story." Xeno stated.

"I see. onto unrelated news, here's some news from Sakura." Jaden said, getting Nobu's attention "Recently I made a proposal with Sakura that needed the government's authorization."

"With the government?" Catherine questioned.

"What is it?" TK asked.

"Well my company has started creating the game Duel Monsters as well as the prototype Duel Disks." Jaden announced

"That's good to know." Fabia nodded.

"Are you sure that's a good idea? I mean remember Chaos Breaker is still in this world." Kagome stated.

"That's because these brats are testing them." Jaden said as he gave a grin that showed his teeth.

"Wait a minute Grandpa, I'm no test subject of a company or the government," Xeno said, wagging his finger.

"Not even if it's to test out some new technology which projects holograms?" Jaden grinned

"Hmmm." Xeno hummed thinking for a minute before speaking. "Very well, but if you try something funny."

"Oh no, I never will. That's your mother's job." Jaden said as he held his hands up

"I say we should try it. This is the kinda thing dad always dreamed about." Xion stated, she actually wanted to see how these duel disks worked.

"I'm not really into that kinda thing." Jun waved her hand. She wasn't into card games nor technology.

"You sure Jun, it looks like fun." Larbamon stated.

"I want to see it." Patamon said.

"Yeah me too." Armadillomon said.

"I would like to see," Catherine smirked.

"You all can come." Jaden said

"I'll have to tell Davis when we get back." Kari said knowing Davis will need to know.

"The sun's setting, the gate will close soon." Izzy pointed out.

"We'll see you when we get home." Fabia told Jaden.

Jaden nodded. He looked at Kagome who only turned her head from him. Jaden sighed before the hologram dissipated. As everyone was leaving a figure watched them leave, purple-gloved paws crossed.

"Hehehe, I was hoping for more." the figure said as it walked away from the scene.

the next day everyone was now in class but not Davis for some reason he didn't go to school that day. This time Jaden was teaching class and with him was Kagome acting as an assistant but even then she was cold toward him

"I see most of you are here." Jaden stated as he looked at Davis' empty seat.

'Davis isn't here. He doesn't miss school that much.' Xion thought she hoped her friend was ok, she looked at Kari and she could tell the brunette was worried.

Xeno had his eyes closed. No he wasn't sleeping he was thinking mostly about Davis not having in the class made him feel irritable. 'Where the hell are you Motomiya…' Xeno growled in his mind.

School went by fast, as most of the Digidestined had met at the front of the school.

"Davis didn't come to school today." Kari remarked.

"Do you think he's alright?" Catherine asked.

"I don't know." Kari shook her head. "I tried calling him and texting him, but nothing…"

"He's fine, Kari. Remember he's still thinking about what happened yesterday," Xion said.

"I still can't believe that the Digimon Emperor tried to not just drop you into a canyon but enslave you as well." Tai frowned, feeling like tracking down the Digimon Emperor and beating him up for even daring to do that to his sister.

"Should we look for Davis?" Cody asked.

"No, it's best for us to give him space. He'll come back when he's ready." Nobu told him.

At the moment Jaden and Kagome were heading back to the house

"You know you have to talk to me eventually." Jaden said

Kagome didn't even bother to respond. She was more focused on getting home.

Jaden rolled his eyes, '5 years later and she's still stubborn.' Jaden thought to himself, thinking of the times when Alice told him that Kagome heads home whenever Inuyasha makes her angry and heads on home which is part of her charm.

"Is Alice at the house waiting?" Nikko asked from Kagome's pocket.

"No, she's currently out getting groceries. She should be back before the test." Jaden told her. "I did make an effort to create an AI Duel Computer based on the Duel Computer used at Kaibaland."

"That sounds good, at least they can be tested according to the duel level," Nikko answered. "Don't you two think it's strange that Davis didn't attend school today?"

"Yes I do, despite his files, he doesn't make it a habit of skipping school which worries me." Jaden admitted

"Hmmmm." Kagome simply hummed.

Jaden took notice. "You know why don't you? Alright, Kagome spill it, what happened?" Jaden asked

"Kagome, drop the silent treatment you tell him or I tell him or get Alice to get you to talk." Nikko told Kagome.

Kagome just sighed. "Me and Gatomon berated him for how he acted while being captured by the Digimon Emperor about Kari, but Davis mistook it as me saying that he doesn't deserve to be on the team or be Kari's boyfriend." Kagome answered.

"Kari told us that the emperor threatened to drop her in a canyon and attach a dark ring to her, both Kagome and Gatomon weren't having it, he mistook it for him not caring for Kari." Nikko added

"I see, while I do understand Davis's worry and that he should've kept his calm while under pressure, you and Gatomon shouldn't have yelled at him." Jaden said "It's like Alice keeps telling me, they're just kids."

"Yeah, that's what that hypocrite Fabia told me too." Kagome frowned.

"You aren't a parent, you have a brother and there's a difference, Alice took care of four kids so she has more patience with them and Fabia did watch after Rin while traveling with Sesshomaru." Jaden said

Kagome's blood started to boil "How dare you. I watched over Shippo way before Alice came." Kagome shouted at him

Jaden just took a breath. "And there's your problem, you blow up much like that brat Xeno, Alice is much calmer than both of us so she can look at things differently you are still too emotional." Jaden explained calmly.

"Kagome, take a breath." Nikko told Kagome. "I'm also a mother, so I can understand things about kids, Pyros was a troublemaker and still is but that doesn't mean he doesn't care, he and Davis have many things in common one of them is wearing their heart on their sleeves, so maybe Davis should have kept his mouth shut that's fine but that doesn't mean he didn't think about Kari's safety. The boy probably felt useless that he couldn't save Kari, Gatomon and Veemon and is thinking that it was his fault."

"I felt the same way, when you are in a situation and you can't do anything you say things out of frustration instead of thinking things through." Jaden remarked.

"You saw how Kari was, I think she tried to call him a few times but he's avoiding her thinking that she wouldn't want to see him." Nikko told Kagome.

Kagome sighed. "I fucked up didn't I?" Kagome asked.

"No, you didn't, you were just worried about Kari just like Gatomon was." Jaden smiled

"What do I do?" Kagome asked.

"Apologize and then put it behind you." Nikko told her.

"And then perhaps we could put the bad blood between us behind us as well." Jaden asked

"Don't count on it." Kagome said with a ghost of a smile before she walked away.

Jaden smiled "Well, at least she's back to being happy again." Jaden smiled and that was the thought that really counts.

At that time Davis was walking in the downtown area of Odaiba, his mind was still thinking about what Gatomon and Kagome said to him.

'It's my fault, Kari could have died or would have been a slave.' Davis thought, as he growled, punching the wall of a building he was next to. 'It's my damn fault, maybe Kari deserves better than me and I shouldn't be on that team!'

Davis then came across Jaden who waved at him "Yo. mind if we talk?" he asked the kid

"Huh?" Davis arched an eyebrow.

"Who is it Davis?" a voice came from the backpack he was wearing.

Davis had nothing else to do, so he and Jaden were now sitting on a bench in the park.

"I've heard what happened." Jaden said with a sad smile

"Heh, come to say I know it? Or to kick me while I'm down?" Davis scoffed.

"Tch. I'm not that cold-hearted. I understand what you where going through and that both Kagome and Gatomon shouldn't have criticized you." Jaden said "But you should have more fate in your friends and you should have kept your calm under pressure."

"I felt worthless," Davis muttered. "Like I couldn't do anything at all to save the four of us."

"Yeh, everyone goes through that stage at one point in their lives." Jaden said

"They are right though, it's all my fault I don't deserve to be on the team or be with Kari." Davis shut his eyes.

Jaden just sighed as he glanced at the tree and motioned her over.

"You misunderstood my words." Kagome said, walking up to them.

"Kagome?" Davis muttered in surprise.

"Davis, can I get out of here?" the voice in his bag asked.

"Oh yeah sorry." Davis said unzipping the bag, out of it was a small version of Veemon minus the horn on his nose.

"Man I look like the cats out of the bag or a DemiVeemon that is." Demiveemon joked.

Jaden stared wide-eyed "What happened?"

"When we came back, Veemon turned into Demiveemon." Davis explained.

"Yeah I know that but how did he get here? And did the other Digimon came through?" Jaden asked, looking at Kagome

"Yeah when we all came back some of the digimon also followed with the exception of Biyomon and Tentomon most of them reverted back to their in-training stage." Kagome explained.

"Most?" Jaden said, confused

"Only Gatomon and Patamon remained in their champion and rookie stages while Impmon and Larbramon along with Hawkmon and Armadillomon returned to their in-training forms." Kagome answered.

"Wonderful, that mean Alice has to buy lots of food when they arrive for the test." Jaden groaned since In-training Digimon eat a lot of food than normal

"Did you say food?" Demiveemon asked with a smile.

"I fed you almost 20 minutes ago with those hamburgers." Davis complained, he had bought himself and Demiveemon lunch and the small dragon ate through it like he was drinking water.

"I'm still hungry." Demiveemon complained.

Davis shook his head, he always wanted a pet but he didn't think it would be this stressful. "Wait? You said test? What test?" Davis asked confused.

"To test out the Duel Disks as well as the Duel Monsters Card game that DragonCorps would release soon." Jaden said

"Really? Aw man that sounds cool." Davis exclaimed with excitement.

"The others should be at my house by now, Kagome told Davis that you were sorry so that all of you could get this test going." Jaden said

Kagome sighed as she turned Davis. "Davis, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you or even make you think that you didn't deserve to be on the team or be with Kari. it was just me and Gatomon were worried about her and that you could've handled it better and… I could've handled it better but I let my emotions get the better of me." Kagome apologized.

Davis lowered his head. "You don't need to apologize, it was my fault for not thinking about Kari's safety or Veemon and Gatomon's either, I was just frustrated that I couldn't do anything at all. That feeling hurts if you can't help your friends at all."

"I'm sorry too, I also taunted the Emperor when I shouldn't have." Demiveemon also apologized.

"Why don't we both learn from this and put it behind us." Kagome suggested holding out her hand.

Davis looked at Kagome's hand before he took it. "Right." Davis smiled.

(Yuki-Muto House: Underground Level)

"Why didn't Kagome even bother telling me this." Alice said pinching the bridge of her nose, she had gone to the store to get food for the in-training Digimon which she assumed would only be Xiaomon and Yaamon, but now they brought Gatomon, Patamon along with Upamon and Poromon who were the in-training forms of Armdillomon and Hawkmon.

"Luckily I came prepared." Yolei said, reaching into a separate bag and pulling out bags filled with food. "Good thing my parents own a convenience store."

"Great, hopefully, it'll fill them before my husband gets hungry." Alice said,

"It's true, Jaden has a fast metabolism." Hydranoid concurred

Xeno tried to grab something from the bag only for Yolei to smack his hand. "Hey!" Xeno shouted pulling his hand back.

"These aren't for you, scar-face." Yolei said, wagging her finger.

"Hmph." Xeno huffed.

"Your friend Davis, is he coming today?" Alice asked, when they arrived Davis was the only one who had not arrived.

"Hopefully." Kari said hoping it would be so.

At that moment Davis, alongside Devmiveemon, kagome and Jaden arrived

"Hey guys." Davis smiled.

"Davis." Kari smiled as she ran over and hugged him with Davis returning it, before they pulled apart. "I was worried about you."

"Sorry, I kinda needed time to myself and I'm sorry that got you into that mess." Davis apologized.

"You better be." Gatomon muttered.

"Gatomon!" Kari said in a firm tone, putting her foot down. "You may be my partner and I care about you, but I don't need you or Kagome speaking for me about what happened. I know you two care but I'm not a baby and can't speak for myself."

Gatomon was taken aback by this.

"We were both hard on him, but we apologize to each other and the past is behind us." Kagome told Gatomon.

"You don't need to apologize to me, I know I messed up and I'll make up for it." Davis smirked.

Gatomon looked at him then at Kari who had a stern look on her face something she wasn't really used to from her partner. 'Kari sure has changed in these 4 years.' Gatomon thought.

"You do know Mom and Dad will rip you to pieces when they find out you skipped school." Jun reminded Davis.

"Ughhh, yeah…" Davis groaned remembering that bit.

"And you better make up for all the work you missed." Yolei said with a small glare.

"Aw man." Davis said slumping down in dismay.

"Well we're glad you're back, but let's get down to business." Xeno frowned, crossing his arms.

"You were worried about him." Xion smirked.

"I could care less about what happens to him." Xeno scowled.

"Xeni was worried, Xeni was worried." Xia sang.

"Shut up!" Xeno shouted at Xion and Xia.

"After the Digimon have eaten we can begin." Alice sighed

"In the meantime, I'll program an opponent." Jaden said

The Digimon ate their food while Xia tried to hug most of them since they were cute and Xeno and Xion prevented the little girl from squeezing them to death. At that moment Demiveemon and Yaamon were fighting over a chocolate bar.

"Give it to me Vee!" Yaamon growled.

"Get your own Yaa!" Demiveemon growled back.

"Both of you, stop arguing and share, there's enough for everyone." Keith yelled

"I called it first!" Yaamon shouted Demiveemon.

"No way! I had it first!" Demiveemon said before grabbing the chocolate and ran away.

"Hey! Get back here!" Yaamon bounced after Demiveemon tried to get the chocolate back.

Keith grabbed the chocolate from Demiveemon "That's it, if the two of you can't behave then neither of you could eat." Keith scolded

"Hey!" Both moaned in dismay.

Keith instead gave the piece of chocolate to Patamon who happily accepted it and began chewing on it

"I don't think it's a good idea to wait until they finish eating if this goes on." Kagome told Alice

"Tch here." Xeno tossed two pieces of chocolate at both Demiveemon and Yaamon.

"Yes." Demiveemon smiled as he happily ate the chocolate.

Yaamon looked at Xeno for a moment before he started to eat the chocolate.

"Heh, softy," Davis smirked.

"Shut up, I didn't hear them arguing about chocolate." Xeno glared.

"Don't start anything." Keith warned "We already have enough problems in this house."

"No he's right, my big brother is a big softy." Xia smiled at Xeno.

Xeno glared at Xia blushing slightly before turning away from everyone grunting.

Eventually, the Digimon finished eating all the food and most of them were now stuffed

"Alright, Jaden should be waiting for us now." Alice said, "Are you all ready for this?"

The Digidestined nodded they were ready for it.

"First things first." Jaden said turning to Keith. "You mind bringing them in?"

Keith nodded and left for a different section of the lab. Jaden turned to the kids and spoke. "First off, before we even let you test the duel disks it's best that you all have a deck first," Jaden told them. "Alice?"

Alice nodded as she walked over to a table covered in a tarp, she took it off revealing several decks the exact number for each of the DigiDestined.

"Look at all the cards." Izzy said, walking over. "There's one for each of us."

"Each of you close your eyes and pick a deck and draw the top card of the deck that will tell us which deck you will be using." Jaden told them.

"Close our eyes?" Joe asked, confused.

"Yes, close your eyes and let your hearts guide you." Alice told them.

The DigiDestined were confused by this, however, they did as told each of them walked over to the table feeling a deck before drawing one card each.

"Open your eyes." Kagome said.

Each one of them opened their eyes seeing the cards they picked.

Kari looked at her card. It was a beautiful woman in a toga with a spear and mirror shield. "Beautiful, Athena. That's the name of the Greek goddess of wisdom." Kari said, remembering one of her history lessons.

Sora looked at hers, and it was a phoenix. "Amazing, Sacred Phoenix Nephthys." Sora said since Birdramon was a phoenix-like digimon, it fit her.

Tai looked at his card and saw it was a purple T-Rex with two heads. "Woah, Mighty Dino King Rex." Tai smirked he couldn't wait to tell Agumon about it.

Yolei looked at hers, seeing it was a magnificent green bird. "Simorgh Bird of Definity." Yolei read.

Izzy looked at his card it seemed to be a beetle of sorts that was a combination of other creatures except the background of the card was purple "Assault Cannon Beetle, hmm intriguing." Izzy read

Cody drew his card, however he noticed it was white different from the ones, this monster looked like a robot but it was like a flying saucer as well. "Ally of Justice Light Gazer? But it's a white card?" Cody said.

"It's called a Synchro Monsters, it is a monster that requires you add up monsters in order to summon it." Keith explained.

A vortex appeared as both Gazelle and Berfomet appeared before vanishing and in their place was a winged two-headed beast with features similar to both Gazelle and Berfomet

He looked at Chimera seeing it was too strong for what he had in his hand, it was White Dragon Wyverburster but it wasn't nearly as powerful. 'What do I do?' Davis thought to himself.

"In Duel Monsters it's important to combine monsters with spell and trap cards to help them in battle." Holo Mana informed.

"Spell and Trap cards?" Davis questioned as he looked at his hand, and saw something. 'This'll work.'

"Alright, I banished my pitch dark dragon to special summon, my White Dragon Wyverburster in ATK Mode." Davis said, as Pitch Dragon appeared before it vanished and in it's place was a medium size blue and white dragon.

"It's still not strong enough." TK pointed out, wondering why Davis would summon a monster that was weaker.

"Next I play the equip spell, United We Stand, thanks to this my dragon gains 800 points for all monsters I control." Davis explained.

"She's one of the top second-year students just under Namine Tsunami." Jaden answered

While Quilla causes the user to gain life points equal to the monster ATK points who battled it and after it's destroyed it'll revive the Sun." Jaden explained

"I see, it like the cycle of the day, when the sun sets the moon rises, right?" Sango asked,

"Correct." Jaden answered "In order for it to work one of them must be in the graveyard first."

"Alright, Quilla attack Mystical Beast Serket."Xion announced

Moon Dragon Quilla extended its four dragon heads at the temple guardian who struck back with its claws which in the end caused both to be destroyed, Holo Xion just gritted her teeth as Quilla is in the grave now and Serket has been destroyed

"Now Inti attack wandering Mummy." Xion announced

Sun Dragon Inti also extended its four dragon heads but just before they reached the mummy, Holo Xion activated her trap

Also because Helpoemer was destroyed, you must discard a card from your hand every time your turn ends."

A ghostly arm then appeared and snagged a card into Xion's graveyard

"What?! Ahh!" Xion screamed as she was shocked by dark red energy.

"Judging by that reaction, I'll assume that the card discarded was a monster?" Holo Xion grinned

"Hmph." Holo Kisara huffed, however gave a small smile. "It's not often I say this, but not bad, however remember I'm only level one if it was level two or three with my chaos monsters it would have been different."

"Guess that's the best compliment we could get from her, real or not." Kagome sighed

"Are you kidding, that's her highest compliment and she respects him now." Alice told her.

"I know but she could've said it in a nicer way." Kagome smiled

"That's just how Kaiba's are, rude yet proud." Jaden said "Alright time to say goodbye." as he was about to turn off the Duel computer before he was suddenly given a shock and force back

"What the fuck? It won't turn off." Jaden cursed before glaring at Holo Mana "What did you do?"

"You really think I would let you shut it up." Holo Mana smirked.

"I programmed it, so it shuts off when we say so." Holo Kisara remarked.

"Bitch override program and give controls back to me." Jaden snarled

"Sorry, can't hear." Holo Kisara said with a dismissive grin before she vanished.

Jaden gasped "Are you saying that we have to deal with Holo Versions of all of you now?" Jaden demanded "Including my grandmother?"

"You're the one who made us not us, blame yourself for this situation." Holo Mana said. "I'll seeyou all next time you visitl." Holo Mana smiled before she vanished as well.

"Wow, shut out of your own system with your own programs. Where have I seen this before?" Sai sarcastically asked.

Jaden glared at Sai before flipping him off

"Everything you touch or make ends up causing problems." Alice sighed, shaking her head.

"They weren't supposed to gain sentiance." Jaden growled

"We come from a world where there are sentient ai's with real understanding of humour how come you never considered something that has happened in our world." Alice countered.

"You know what, I need to go to sleep you could talk to a Holo Version of the old hag or maybe Namine to catch up on things." Jaden said as he walked out

"It's surprising he never saw this kinda thing happening as a result considering all the bullshit we go through." Kagome commented.

"Indeed." Keith said "But on another topic. You've all seen the Digimon Emperor in person right?" Keith asked

"Yeah, crazy asshole had me and Kari chained to the side of a cliff." Davis frowned.

"He also whipped my brother in the eye." Xion added.

"Kagome, did you sense anything from him?" Alice naked

"Now that you mentioned it feels like his heart was manipulated, twisted by an outside source." kagome frowned

"Really?" Xeno growled as he stood back up. "Tch, I swear Motomiya I'll kill you for that."

"I'm not scared of you Jamerser, you did almost lit this place up." Davis frowned.

"When did you woke up?" Sango asked

"About two minutes after the old man walked out of the room." Xeno answered. "Shrouded or not, he hit me where my scar is, so the next time I see him he dies."

"I should've known that was where this was going to go." kagome said

"Indeed, Like Inuyasha, only Idiots like Sai, Davis and Xeno would do something this idiotic." Keith groaned "And get us involved as well. No matter how much we like the guys."

"He tried to kill Kari, and he threatened us, and I do owe him for what he did." Xeno frowned.

"In fairness, a huge majority of our friends were once our enemies you know." Alice said

"So are some of the Digimon we met too like Orgemon." Joe added.

"And if he does kill one of us?" Xeno asked.

Alice sighed "We'll come to that later, right now we should figure out why his heart is tampered with and figure out a way to free his heart as well as figure out the kids identity."

"Do what you wish, but the next time he's in my range, he'll have a bullet to his skull." Xeno frowned as he began to walk away from the group.

"Damn, he's such a hotheaded fellow just like Inuyasha, always doing things his own way." Keith frowned

"And what will you do if he does kill one of these kids?" Haruka asked. "I know you all want to help him and find out, but there's a limit to how much you can take, I don't agree with Xeno's logic at all but he does bring up a point if Kari had died before you all got their what would you have told Tai and her parents?"

Helios just popped open "Simple we would kill him regardless, after all we're more used to killing human beings than all of you." Helios stated

"He's right none of you shouldn't ruin your future yet." Keith said

"Xeno's is mostly off track, he did kill someone in the past." Sango said in a sad tone as she turned to Yolei. "However that was only in self defense as he was protecting Yolei, and he knows what lines to cross and what to know, my late husband taught him that those guns aren't meant to take life but to save it."

"Well either way, thanks for all coming for the test. We'll send the testing result soon and hopefully DragonCorps could mass-produce Duel Disks and Duel Monsters cards soon." Alice said changing the mood

"I look forward to it." Davis smirked. "And maybe next time I can beat Mana."

"If you had the time to ready your deck and the rules you could've came much closer, but that's not on you." Alice said.

Soon everyone left but Sango, Xion and Sakura who still remained

"What are you still doing here?" Keith asked

"Well, i was wondering if I could talk to the other world version of my daughter the more recent version." Sango asked

"Do as you wish." Alice said.

"Holo Xion." Sango called.

Just then Holo Xion appeared. "Hello m- I mean Sango."

"I want to ask you a few questions." Sango said.

"Depends on how you define it," Holo Xion said.

"Heh, that was my husband's quote." Sango giggled. "I want to ask you about your relationship with Jaden."

Holo Xion grumbled. "Hmmm… it's complicated…" Holo Xion answered. "We were good friends, I even had… feelings for him, however he did something really stupid that ended up ruining his own life and the lives of many other people."

"We saw, he became Dragon cause he was dying for a real stupid reason to be sure." Xion remarked.

"Yes, but also this stupid lone wolf attitude, believing he's the only one who can solve a problem and take the load of the world on his shoulders." Holo Xion crossed her arms.

"My son's the same way, believing he doesn't need anyone to help him despite Davis, Sai, Kari and Xion being there to bail him out of problems." Sango nodded in understanding.

"And that's partly why I really see him anymore. He changed alot since then" Holo Xion sighed "Damn shame too, he was quite the catch during our younger days."

"He's a sad man now, if you forgive my words." Xion said politely.

"That's what revenge does to you, once you get it there's really nothing left for you but a void of emptiness." Holo Xion nodded. "Is that all you've wanted to talk to me about?" she asked

"Can you tell us about the Xeno from your world?" Xion asked.

"Besides being a father who teases me for my love for Jaden back then he's pretty much the same only more mature except in the past he was forced to kill his friend." Holo Xion sadly said

Xion and Sango were shocked. "No, I don't believe it, Xeni wouldn't kill his friend. He talks a lot about what he doesn't go through with it." Sango shook her head.

Holo Xion sighed "It's a long story but the circumstances were different from your Xeno." she said. "Your son's life is more stable, then my dad's. You see my dad has a darkness in him and it would bring out a lot of his rage and anger, he never had many friends at his age until a little girl his age arrived. Her name was Aya and she saw beyond his anger and rage, and she was able to help him calm down."

"That sounds good." Sango said.

"However, my father had powers… They allowed him to do many amazing and terrible things one day when at school something snapped inside of him and he unleashed an attack that destroyed half of his school killing hundreds of people, even Aya who died in his arms." Holo Xion said in a sad tone.

"It must have been horrible for him…" Sango lowered her head.

"It was, my father tried to kill himself not long after." Holo Xion informed, shocking Xion and Sango. "However… a side effect of his darkness was that my father couldn't die, he was immortal."

"Immortal….?" Sango muttered.

"I've said enough for now." Holo Xion said, not really wanting to talk about her father's past.

'Strange from what Jaden told me before their Xeno weird but yet I've learned he's immortal. What's going on here?' Sango thought "Thanks for telling me Xion." Sango told the Holo Version of her daughter

"You're welcome, don't give up on your Xeno, compared to how my dad was, the kid's an angel." Holo Xion smiled before she vanished.

"She's right mom, we just have to keep believing in our Xeno and hope for the best." Xion smiled

Sango gave a small smile as well. "You're right, we just have to hope for the best."
