Author's note: I don't know about you, but I got such a nice heartwarming feeling after writing this chapter! :)

Lucas inhaled deeply as he held Grace in his arms, slowly moving to the rhythm of music. He recognized a few songs the band played as his favourite ones and knew that his beautiful love must have given them a list.

He inhaled once again, her wonderful scent and vanilla perfume sending his heartbeat racing. To have someone who cares about him so much, pays attention to every word he says and loves him so unconditionally made Lucas feel like he was living in a dream. He never had it before. Grace took all his pains and sorrows away and locked them in the darkest room possible, throwing the key away, never allowing them to come up on the surface again.

He felt her move slightly, her cheek brushing his cheek and her eyes looking up at his eyes. Lucas leaned his forehead on her forehead, gently nuzzling her nose with his before their lips melted into a kiss, sending his head spinning.

She fitted him perfectly. Her sweet, lushy lips were sending him closer to Heaven every time they would kiss. He gently cupped one of her cheek, wanting to feel that bliss again. His heart sang as he felt her cheek growing warm under his touch, like it always did.

He felt her sigh and he slowly deepened their kiss, drinking her sweetness in, reveling in the feeling of her so close. His blood warmed up in his veins as he felt her kissing him back with everything she had.

Her palms joined behind his neck as she surrendered herself to him completely, their kisses growing longer, sensual, robbing both of them off their breath and any coherent thought.

As they slowly broke the kiss, Lucas' thumb caressed Grace's soft cheek and he looked deeply into her hazel eyes.

"I can't wait to marry you", he whispered "Just thinking about having you at my side makes me so blissfully happy, my Grace."

She smiled happily, her smile tugging at the deepest part of his heart and making his lips curl up happily. He pulled her closer to him and just hug her, just held her for a few minutes, taking this moment in.

When they slowly pulled away, Grace whispered:

"Come on. Let's have some dinner", she gently tugged at his hands and led him slowly to their table where, to Lucas surprise, dinner was already served…and it consisted of his favourite meals.

As they sat down, he looked at Grace in amazement and she shrugged with a small smile.

"Some things I knew myself, some things Gustave told me about", she said softly "I am eager to learn as much as I can about my husband to be", her smile widened at seeing him being left utterly speechless and she leaned over the table to meet him halfway for a kiss. Only a gentle brush of his lips sent her head spinning and heart racing. As they reluctantly pulled away, she sighed as she felt his fingers caressing her back.

Lucas' eyes were warm as he gently brushed his fingers up and down Grace's spine.

"You are amazing", he whispered "And I am the luckiest man alive to be loved by you."

She pressed her lips together, a smile never wavering from her face, her heart skipping a beat at the warm look from his eyes.

"I am the lucky one", she whispered. Taking a deep breath in, she took her napkin and unfolding it, she asked "Did you hear from Agatha?"

Lucas nodded as he also turned to his dinner.

"Yeah, she called this morning, before you came. They arrived safely and are at her place", he replied.

Grace looked up, concerned.

"Is Jack alright?", she asked.

Lucas took a deep breath in before nodding.

"Yeah, Agatha said that he didn't make a fuss during their trip at all", he cut into his meat and continued "She said that he played with a puppy, slept, even ate."

Grace let out a breath of relief.

"Oh, thank God! I was so worried!", she gently said.

Lucas looked at her with a sad smile.

"Yeah, me too. But Agatha assured me that he is alright. And…", he swallowed a bite of his food before he continued "She actually confided in me this morning why did they leave so suddenly", at Grace's curious look, he explained "It appears that his Uncle Tom has arrived in Hamilton back from England."

Grace gasped in surprise.

"Jack's brother?", she asked incredulously.

Lucas nodded.

"Yes. Apparently, he went overseas after his brother died. He worked for a car company and sent money to his Mother who lived somewhere here, I can't remember where", he took a deep breath in "However, Tom's and Jack's Mother passed away a few weeks ago and now Tom came back to take care of her possessions. Agatha says that he is the only one left of the Thornton family."

Grace shook her head, trying to swallow a lump in her throat as she listened.

"What about their Father?", she silently asked as she took a sip of her wine.

Lucas took another deep breath in.

"He was a Mountie and also got killed in a line of duty, just like Jack. The boys were merely children when he died", he replied softly.

Grace exhaled a shaky breath.

"Oh, my goodness", she whispered "And how did Agatha found Tom?"

Lucas shrugged.

"I'm not sure. However, they arranged to meet as she wants to make sure that Jack has all the family he needs during this time", he silently finished and in the next moment, he felt Grace's fingers taking his palm. He looked up at her and she gently squeezed his palm.

"That could be good for Jack. He could get much comfort from his Uncle", she said gently.

Lucas nodded with a small, sad smile.

"You know, Agatha said that Tom has blonde hair. Jack actually inherited it from his Uncle, considering the fact that his parents were both dark haired", he said.

Grace's lips curled up in a soft smile.

"That's amazing", giving his palm another gentle squeeze, she softly added "I am glad that Agatha decided to stay in touch with you."

Lucas smiled softly at his fiancée.

"Yeah, me too. I am much calmer now, knowing that Jack will be taken care of", suddenly, a thought entered his mind and his lips slowly spreaded in a teasing smile "You know, it's interesting how kids inherit some traits from other family members too", at Grace's blank look, he stifled a laugh before he deadpanned "You do realize our children may inherit their Aunt Lillian's red hair!"

Grace's eyes widened in shock, her mouth slightly gaping open.

"Oh, my God, you are right!", she gasped "Or they could be blonde like your Mother!"

Lucas nodded, pretending to seriously ponder the issue…only to look at Grace and grimace as he said:

"Lets just hope they won't inherit Uncle Gustave's frown!"

Grace nearly choked on her wine as she bursted to laughter, making Lucas finally laugh too. They laughed their hearts out as Lucas hugged Grace's shoulders and pulled her into his side. Placing a gentle kiss on her soft, brunette hair as she leaned her head on his shoulder, he whispered:

"As long as they have their Mother's heart, I'm fine."

Grace looked up from his shoulder and smiled warmly.

"And their Dad's kindness and sense of caring for the others", she accepted his kiss and smiling against his lips, she added "And their Dad's sense of humour."

Lucas chuckled, accepting the game.

"And their Mum's knack for silly caps and sweaters", he said, laughing before he kissed her eyelid and gently murmured "And their Mum's beauty."

She sighed happily as she snuggled closer to him and gently replied:

"And their Dad's dimples."

He smiled, bringing his dimples out in all their glory.

"And their Mum's warm eyes", he whispered.

Grace's eyes glowed with happy tears.

"And their Dad's sense of loving", she whispered, her voice coloured with emotions "So they can make others happy just as their Dad makes their Mum happier than ever."

Lucas' eyes softened at hearing her emotions getting better of Grace and he leaned down, kissing her lips lovingly, his hand caressing her shoulders. She kissed him back, her palm cupping his face as her eyes let out a few happy tears.

"I love you", he whispered into their kiss before he gently kissed her tears away.

Grace smiled through her tears as she whispered:

"I love you too."

For the dessert they got the house specialty, Nougat filled cream puffs covered in chocolate. Grace giggled saying that she never learned how to eat such things and avoided them even though she absolutely adored them.

"You'll see, I'll get chocolate all over my nose as I take a first bite", she giggled as she bit into a little cake. True to her words, chocolate now covered her nose and part of her cheek and she giggled so much that she wasn't able to put the cake back down on the plate.

Lucas laughed, his heart warming with love for her.

"Wait, maybe I can help", he took a cake from Grace's fingers and breaking a small piece of it, he brought it to her lips and fed her "How's that?"

Grace felt her insides melting at his love and gentleness. She took another piece of delicious creamy cake from his fingers and smiled.

"Much better", she softly replied and snuggled closer to his side as he continued feeding her. Her heart sang at the feeling of home and warmth she felt as he fed her "I could get used to this."

Lucas smiled as he gently wiped the chocolate away from her nose and cheek with his thumb. He slowly licked it off his thumb and whispered, his voice silent and warm:

"You should. Because I plan to spoil you rotten for the rest of our lives. And that includes feeding you too", and with those words, he kissed her, his heart soaring at the feeling of her in his embrace.

The daylight's fading slowly

The time with you is standing still

I'm waiting for you only

The slightest touch and I feel weak.

I cannot lie, from you I cannot hide

And I'm losing the will to try

Can't hide it (can't hide it), can't fight it (can't fight it).

So go on, go on, come on, leave me breathless

Tempt me, tease me, until I can't deny

This loving feeling (loving feeling)

Make me long for your kiss

Go on (go on), go on (go on)

Yeah...Come on.

And if there's no tomorrow

And all we have is here and now

I'm happy just to have you

You're all the love I need somehow.

It's like a dream

Although I'm not asleep

And I never want to wake up

Don't lose it (don't lose it), don't leave it (don't leave it).

So go on, go on, come on, leave me breathless

Tempt me, tease me, until I can't deny

This loving feeling (loving feeling)

Make me long for your kiss

Go on (go on), go on (go on)

Yeah...Come on .

And I can't lie

From you I cannot hide

And I've lost my will to try

Can't hide it (can't hide it), can't fight it, (can't fight it).

So go on, (go on) go on, (go on), come on, leave me breathless

Tempt me, tease me, until I can't deny

This loving feeling (loving feeling)

Make me long for your kiss.

Go on, go on, come on, leave me breathless.
