Chapter 39: Undertown.
[Undertown]
The four teenagers gazed out at the city below, their eyes wide with wonder, curiosity, and caution. Ibara's hands were clasped together, her eyes shining with excitement as she took in the breathtaking view. "Praise the Lord!" she exclaimed. "This is truly a marvel! A city hidden beneath our feet, just like the scriptures say!"
Setsuna's eyes narrowed, her gaze scanning the city's layout, her mind already racing with strategic possibilities. "This is incredible," she said, her voice filled with confidence. "We need to be careful, but at the same time, it's kinda cool."
Mina bounced up and down, her enthusiasm infectious. "Wow, this is so cool! I've never seen anything like it! nu Can we explore? Please? I want to see everything!" She turned to the others, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
Izuku, meanwhile, looked around cautiously, his eyes scanning the horizon for any signs of danger. "We should be careful," he said, his voice filled with concern, but a little wonder.
As they stood there, taking in the sights and sounds of the underground city, they heard the horn of a train-like vehicle. It hovered a few feet in the air, and before they could react, it almost ran over Setsuna. Izuku acted quickly, pushing her out of the way just in time. The driver yelled, "Get out of the way, meatbags! This is Undertown, not a playground!" as he sped past them.
"Undertown...?" Izuku asked himself.
Setsuna looked up at Izuku, who was still pinning her to the ground, and said with a sly grin, "Wow, Midoriya, now, you've got me here... what are you planning on doing with me?"
Ibara's eyes widened in shock, "Setsuna, that's not appropriate!"
Mina chuckled, "Oh, Setsuna, you're such a tease!"
Ibara grumbled."Pot calling the kettle black."
Izuku's face turned bright red as he quickly got off her, "T-Tokage, that's not what I was thinking!"
Setsuna just laughed, "Oh, come on, Izuku. Don't be so uptight. I was just trying to lighten the mood. Oh, and just call me Setsuna. "
Ibara sternly said, "Let's focus on the current situation. We need to focus on the current situation ."
Setsuna stood up, still giggling, while Mina chuckled at Izuku's embarrassed expression. He was covering his face with his hands, his blush subsiding slowly.
"Okay, she's right," Setsuna said, "What is this place?"
Izuku lowered his hands, his face still a bit red. "Ester said... it's basically an alien underground city."
Mina's eyes widened in excitement. "Really?! Cool!!"
Setsuna grinned mischievously. "Alien underground city? That sounds amazing!"
Ibara looked cautious. "Let's be careful. We don't know what kind of people live here."
Izuku nodded. "Yeah, and we should keep a low profile. Don't want to draw attention to ourselves."
As they walked, Mina asked, "How long do you think this place has been here?"
Izuku shrugged. "No idea. But I'm sure we'll find out soon enough."
Setsuna skipped ahead, her excitement palpable. "Well, let's look around! It couldn't hurt, am I right?"
Ibara followed close behind, her eyes scanning the area. "Stay close, everyone. We don't know what kind of dangers might be lurking ahead. "
As they ventured deeper into Undertown, Mina suddenly stopped the group by standing in front of them. "Hold up, guys! Let's get a change of clothes!" she exclaimed.
Izuku and Ibara raised an eyebrow in confusion while Setsuna gave a toothy grin. "Uh, why?" Izuku asked.
Mina gestured to their outfits. "We can't exactly show up like this. Midoriya's in his PJs, me and Setsuna's costume looks like she just went through a powerline explosion. We're trying not to draw attention, remember?"
Ibara sighed, being the logical one. "You both just want to go shopping, and we don't even have their currency nor the time to purchase anything."
She continued walking, her long strides forcing the others to catch up. "And besides, we need to focus on locating those... things. Whatever they are, they've been causing trouble, and we can't let them continue."
Setsuna and Mina slumped, defeated by Ibara's logical deviations. Izuku smiled and patted both girls on the back. "Hey, don't worry, we'll figure it out."
As they walked, Mina whispered to Setsuna, "I was really looking forward to some alien clothing."
Setsuna whispered back, "Me too... Maybe we can find some alternative clothing stores?"
Mina's eyes sparkled with mischief. "Now that's a plan!"
Izuku just gave an awkward smile as they continued looking through the city.
Ibara rolled her eyes good-naturedly. "Let's just focus on the mission, shall we?"
...
[With Miruko]
With Itsuka and Miruko, they looked frantically for Izuku, following the trail of his red shoes. Miruko examined the ground, her eyes scanning the area. It was still night, but she could track his trail with relative ease.
"He stopped here, alongside three others," she said, her voice firm and professional. She sniffed the air, her eyes narrowing. "They were chasing something electrical, possibly an electrical villain. I can smell the ozone in the air."
Itsuka was visibly impressed by Miruko's deduction skills. "Wow, Miruko, you're amazing!" she exclaimed.
Miruko brushed off the compliment, her focus solely on finding Izuku. "Let's not get distracted," she said, her voice firm.
"We need to bring Izuku back." But as she bit her thumb, a hint of concern crept into her expression.
Itsuka, too, was concerned. "Izuku can get into so much trouble," she thought, her heart racing with worry. "What if he's in over his head?"
Miruko seemed to sense Itsuka's distress. "Channel those feelings into finding him," she said, her voice softening.
Itsuka took a deep breath, slapping her cheeks to shake off the worry. A determined look settled on her face. "Let's go," she said, her voice firm.
Together, the two heroes followed the trail, their eyes scanning the area for any sign of Izuku.
...
As they walked through the city, Izuku and his friends passed by vendor shops, and Mina's curiosity was piqued by the strange food on display. "I kinda wanna know how they taste," she said, eyeing the slimy, gross-looking dishes.
Setsuna made a gagging noise. "Ugh, Mina, don't even joke about eating that!"
Izuku looked concerned. "Do you think it's even safe for us to eat?"
The vendor spoke up, "It's perfectly safe for humans, though it's gonna be 5 Taydenite."
Mina asked, "Taydenite?"
"It must be there, currency." Setsuna deducted.
The vendor looked at Setsuna and Mina, "You two wouldn't have run into a Nosedeenian, did you?"
Setsuna and Mina exchanged a confused glance. "Nosedeenians?" Setsuna repeated. "What's that?"
The vendor's expression turned serious. "They're aliens that eat electricity. We call them Nosedeenians, but humans refer to them as Megawatt. They're dangerous creatures that can harness electricity and use it to their advantage. And they have a twisted sense of humor."
Mina's eyes widened. "That's the thing that attacked us!"
The vendor nodded. "Thought so. Well, let me tell you, those Nosedeenians can become truly dangerous when they feel threatened. They're not to be trifled with."
Setsuna's eyes narrowed. "What do you mean?"
The vendor's expression turned grim. "They can be very destructive when cornered or threatened. They've already caused significant damage to a nearby town a couple of years ago,"
The four grimaced. "Thank you..." Izuku started to say, but he didn't know the vendor's name.
"I'm Gorvoth, by the way. Nice to meet you all," the vendor said with a warm smile.
"Nice to meet you, Gorvoth," Izuku replied. "Thanks for the warning about the Nosedeenians."
Gorvoth nodded. "No need to thank me, just be careful out there. Those creatures aren't to be trifled with."
"We will. Thanks for the warning," Izuku said, his voice firm.
Gorvoth began frying the food. The four gave their thanks and left the vendor's stall.
They thanked the vendor, who smiled and waved goodbye. As they walked away, Ibara asked Izuku, "So, how did you figure out the Megawatt were alien in origin?"
Izuku activated the Omnitrix and cycled through his forms, stopping at the alien one. The others widened their eyes in surprise.
"The Omnitrix glowed yellow, and... well, I kinda just put two and two together," Izuku explained.
Mina asked, "So, you can transform into those creatures?"
Izuku nodded, and Setsuna put her hands behind her head, a thoughtful expression on her face. "Hopefully, you don't get their sense of humor. Those things are not funny!"
Ibara's eyes narrowed slightly. "Yes, well, they attacked a nearby store, and Kamui Woods and I tried to stop one of them. But it...ah...managed to get past us."
Setsuna giggled. "Seems even aliens have their kinks, I guess!"
Ibara's face turned slightly pink, but she tried to maintain a composed expression. "Yes, well, it was...an unexpected encounter, to say the least."
Izuku noticed Ibara's embarrassment and tried to change the subject. "So, let's focus on the mission ahead. We need to at least make sure those Megawatts don't hurt anyone."
Mina nodded in agreement. "Right, let's get to it!"
Setsuna grinned mischievously. "And maybe next time, Ibara, you can wear something a little more...alien-proof?"
Ibara shot Setsuna a withering look but tried to laugh it off. "Oh, haha, very funny, Setsuna."
Ibara's gaze flickered to Izuku, her eyes conveying a silent "thank you" for changing the subject. She then turned her attention forward, her cheeks still tinged with a hint of pink.
Despite the brief moment of embarrassment, her expression remained serene and composed, her dignity intact. The small blush on her face was the only lingering evidence of her earlier discomfort.
...
Miruko and Itsuka finally picked up Izuku's trail, leading them to the outskirts of the city. As they looked around, they spotted a tunnel entrance, which revealed a vast and complex underground labyrinth.
The air was thick with the scent of damp earth and mold, and the only sound was the faint hum of flickering fluorescent lights.
Itsuka's irritation grew as they ventured deeper into the maze-like tunnels, eager to find Izuku as quickly as possible.
Miruko sensing her worry reassured her with a simple comment, "Don't worry, we'll find him soon." She then added with a grin, "And when we do, we'll give him a piece of our minds...and maybe a few spars to blow off some steam!"
Itsuka chuckled at the obvious joke and nodded in agreement. "I'll get the first match," she said with a playful smirk, as they continued to navigate the seemingly endless twists and turns of the underground labyrinth.
...
The four friends navigated the vendor stance, surrounded by technological advances that were still just ideas in their world. They wandered separately but remained close to each other. Mina tried on a bowl-like helmet, while Ibara browsed through a vendor's collection of books. She picked one up, her eyes scanning the pages with intrigue.
"Excuse me, vendor," Ibara asked, "what's the concept behind this book? It seems to be discussing a language I've never seen before."
The vendor smiled, "Ah, that's an ancient language, child."
Izuku and Setsuna explored some alien tech together, and their faces lit up with excitement. Setsuna poked at a device and suddenly got zapped. "Ow!" she exclaimed, her cheeks turning pink. Izuku chuckled, and Setsuna playfully flicked his forehead.
"Maybe we shouldn't be touching random stuff."
Setsuna smiled, "Yeah, yeah. I'll be more careful."
While Setsuna continued to examine the tech, Izuku's eyes landed on a silver ball with electric blue markings. He picked it up, and the vendor exclaimed, "Ah! You've found the N'Terian Portal Generator chile!"
The vendor's accent was reminiscent of a voodoo woman, and Izuku felt a shiver run down his spine. "What does it do?" he asked, his curiosity piqued.
"I see you're interested in the N'Terian Portal Generator," the vendor said, their eyes gleaming with excitement. "That's a powerful device, capable of transporting individuals across vast distances. But be warned, chile, it requires precise coordinates and a steady hand. You don't want to end up lost in the vast expanse of space-time!"
Izuku gulped as the vendor studied him intently. "You can take one... " The vendor paused, his eyes narrowing slightly. "No, three. You just have... " He paused again, his gaze lingering on Izuku's face. "A familiar face."
The vendor's smile grew wider, showing his yellow teeth. "It's on the house."
The vendor floated three spheres towards Izuku, who stumbled backward slightly, his eyes wide with surprise. He quickly regained his balance and caught the spheres, his hands closing around them with a soft clink.
"T-thank you!" Izuku stuttered, his face flushing with gratitude.
The vendor chuckled, his eyes glinting with amusement. "No need to thank me, boy. Just be sure to use them well."
Izuku nodded hastily and turned to leave. The spheres clutched tightly in his hands.
"Hey, check this out!" Setsuna said with a mischievous grin as they walked over to Ibara. "Midoriya got some tech!"
Ibara looked up from the books she was examining, a curious expression on her face. "Oh? What kind of tech?"
Izuku held up the three spheres, a look of excitement on his face. "These! The vendor just gave them to me."
Mina's eyes widened in surprise. "Whoa, nice score, Izuku!"
Izuku smiled but then frowned. "Yeah, but now I have to carry these things... They're just really inconvenient."
Mina chuckled and took one of the spheres from Izuku's hand, testing its weight. "Hmm, this is about the same weight as a tennis ball, dude," she said with a grin.
Izuku nodded. "Yeah, that's what I thought! But still, carrying three of them around is a bit of a pain."
Mina laughed and took the other two spheres from Izuku's hands. "Don't worry, Ibara can carry them for you!" she said, depositing the spheres into Ibara's bag.
Ibara nodded, a gentle smile on her face. "It will be my pleasure."
As the group continued their search for Megawatts, they asked various vendors and pedestrians, but no one seemed to know anything. Mina slumped against a nearby wall, her hand supporting her head. "It doesn't seem like anyone knows where the Megawatts are... This is so frustrating!"
Just as they were discussing their next move, a boy with long hair and an orange stripe walked by, overhearing their conversation. He suddenly stumbled, his eyes widening in alarm as he quickly regained his composure.
The group didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, but the boy's demeanor changed. He began to act nervously, pretending not to notice them.
Ibara, however, picked up on his suspicious behaviour. "Pardon me, but didn't the teachers say very few people know about aliens?" she asked, her eyes fixed on the boy.
Mina stood up, her eyes narrowing. "Yeah, and he looks our age... What is he doing here?"
Setsuna's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Let's go ask him! Maybe he knows something we don't."
Izuku, always eager to ask questions, approached the boy with a friendly smile. "Hey, mind if we talk to you for a bit?"
But before Izuku could even finish his sentence, the boy took off in a sprint, weaving through the vendor stalls.
"Hey, stop!!" Mina shouted as the boy knocked over several stalls in his attempt to lose the four.
"Ah, no! My goods!" a vendor cried out, as the boy darted past.
The group gave chase, their eyes fixed on the boy's fleeing form. "The Sports Festival! He must know we're Hero Course students!" Izuku exclaimed.
Mina asked, "You think that's why he's running from us?"
"Positive," Setsuna replied. "Only villains run away from heroes!"
Ibara swiftly stopped in her tracks and plunged her hair into the earth, her vines bursting forth from the ground like underground tentacles. The boy's eyes widened as the earth shook beneath his feet, and he leapt into the air just as the green, thorny roots erupted from the ground, snapping wildly in an attempt to ensnare him.
The other three students were gaining on him, their footsteps closing in. Desperate to escape, the boy yanked out a strange, gun-like weapon with wires attached to his bag. He aimed it at the students, and a yellow stream of energy shot forth, crackling with electricity. The two dodged just in time, but the energy blast obliterated a nearby vendor stand, sending splintered wood and debris flying everywhere.
The boy didn't hesitate, leaping over a fence in a desperate bid for freedom. He sought higher ground, scrambling up a fire escape as Ibara's vines snapped and flailed in frustration, narrowly missing their target.
"How did he...?!" Mina exclaimed, her eyes wide with shock.
"That weapon...!" Izuku muttered, his brow furrowed in concern.
"We need to get him!" Setsuna shouted, already racing towards the fire escape.
Ibara's eyes narrowed, her gaze fixed intently on the fleeing boy. "You will reap what you have sown!" she called out, her voice stern and commanding.
As the boy fled, Setsuna broke herself into different body parts, her limbs and torso floating separately as they chased after him. The boy shot frantically at the floating body parts, but Setsuna dodged the blasts with ease.
Mina, Izuku, and Ibara tried to give chase, but the boy was too fast, scaling buildings with ease. Izuku activated the Omnitrix and quickly dialled. "Come on, give me something good! Maybe FastTrack?"
He slammed down on the dial, and a green flash blinded Ibara and Ashido. "Goop?!" Izuku exclaimed, transforming into a gooey, stretchy form. "Ah, nice!"
The other two couldn't keep up, but Goop stretched his arms to great lengths and ensnared the boy. As they ran across rooftops, Setsuna's floating body parts chased after them.
The boy smirked, spotting an anti-gravity UFO hovering above. "Ha! That anti-gravity is a big weakness!" He aimed and blasted, but Setsuna widened in fear for her friend, and the blast hit the UFO.
To his shock, Goop UFO had a force field and continued the chase.
As the fleeing boy fired at the apartment building, debris rained down on the civilians. Izuku, in his Goop form, stretched his body to catch the rubble, protecting the innocent bystanders. Setsuna's eyes widened in admiration as she watched Goop's quick thinking and selfless act. Her heart fluttered for a moment, a tiny spark of affection igniting within her.
But she quickly shook off the feeling, focusing on the task at hand. "Let's get the civilians to safety!" she exclaimed, her body parts moving swiftly to help Goop.
Together, they worked in perfect sync, Goop catching the debris and Setsuna pulling the civilians to safety. Once they were clear, Goop released the rubble, and Setsuna turned to him with a nod of appreciation. "Thanks, Goop. We make a good team."
Goop smiled, his gooey form wobbling with excitement. "Yeah, we do!"
Goop smiled, his gooey form wobbling with excitement, as the sound of rubble falling and people cheering filled the air. "Yeah, we do--Wait, Goop?!" He asked in surprise, realizing Setsuna had addressed him by his hero name.
Setsuna raised an eyebrow. "Huh? That's your alien hero's name, isn't it?" she asked, her voice clear and confident.
Goop nodded, looking a bit sheepish, as the warm sun beat down on his gooey form. "W-Well, yeah...I'm just not used to people calling me by my hero name while I'm in my alien form. It's really cool, actually!"
Setsuna chuckled, her eyes lingering on Goop's gooey form for a moment before looking away, a faint blush rising to her cheeks.
"What was that?" she asked, her voice softer, almost to herself. It was as if she was questioning the strange feeling she had experienced earlier, the one that had fluttered in her chest when she saw Goop's heroic act.
As the crowd's cheers died down, the sound of approaching footsteps echoed through the air. Mina and Ibara arrived, looking determined. Mina was breathing heavily, her face flushed from exertion, and her hair slightly dishevelled.
"Did you guys catch him?" she asked, her eyes scanning the area, her voice a bit raspy from running.
Goop and Setsuna shook their heads in unison. "He got away from us," Goop admitted, a little disappointed in himself.
Mina noticed their defeated expressions and stepped forward, an encouraging smile on her face. "Hey, don't be too hard on yourselves! The fact that he ran from us means he's hiding something! That's a big lead right there!"
Ibara nodded, her eyes narrowing slightly. "We can ask around, see if anyone else saw him. Maybe someone noticed which way he went."
As Goop touched the Omnitrix dial, a bright green flash enveloped Izuku.
The citizens gasped in shock, their eyes fixed on Izuku in awe. "Who is this boy?" someone asked, their voice trembling.
"He's... he's the son of the greatest plumber!" another citizen exclaimed. "The one who battled the strongest beings of Korus!"
Izuku's eyes darted around, his gaze still on the citizens, but his head slightly bowed, his eyes cast downward for a moment as they mentioned his father's feats. He hadn't known about his father's past until recently, and it was still sinking in.
"The one who defeated the mighty Xarxians?"
Izuku's eyes flickered back up, his expression a mix of surprise and discomfort. He hadn't heard of the Xarxians before, but the citizens' reverence was unmistakable.
"Yes! And the fearsome Vorgons!"
The citizens' eyes widened, their faces filled with reverence. Izuku's eyes dropped again, his face scrunched in a mix of embarrassment and overwhelming. He hadn't known his father was so famous, and it was a lot to take in.
The girls stepped forward, forming a protective barrier around Izuku. "He's from the Sports Festival," one said firmly.
As the citizens continued to stare, Izuku's eyes darted around, his expression uneasy. He looked like a deer caught in the headlights, unsure of how to react.
And then, in unison, the citizens whispered: "The Dragon of the Cosmic Inferno!"
Izuku's eyes snapped up, his face flushing with embarrassment. He looked like he wanted to disappear into the ground.
As the citizens whispered, "The Dragon of the Cosmic Inferno!" In unison, their faces lit up with joy and gratitude. They began to approach Izuku, their hands outstretched, eager to praise him.
The girls tried to protect Izuku, but they were roughly pushed aside as the citizens surged forward. "Let us through! We must thank him!" someone exclaimed.
The citizens surrounded Izuku, patting him on the back, shaking his hands, and congratulating him. "Your father saved our families!" one man said, his eyes shining with gratitude. "He protected us from the fury of the Florana! My children would have been killed if not for his bravery!"
An elderly woman grasped Izuku's hands, tears streaming down her face. "My grandchildren would have been slaughtered by the DNAliens if not for your father's selflessness!"
A young couple approached Izuku, their faces filled with admiration. "We were stranded on a planet, and your father risked his life to rescue us!" the woman said, her voice trembling.
The man added, "He fought off a horde of Vulpimancers to ensure our safe passage! We owe him our lives!"
As the citizens continued to praise Izuku, he looked like a deer caught in the headlights, his face flushing with embarrassment. He hadn't known his father was a hero to so many people, and it was overwhelming to hear their stories.
One citizen, a burly man with a thick beard, lifted Izuku onto his shoulders, cheering. "The son of the Dragon of the Cosmic Inferno! He's a hero just like his father!"
The crowd erupted into cheers, with some citizens even crying tears of joy. Izuku's face turned bright red as he tried to process the sudden outpouring of admiration.
...
Miruko's eyes lit up with relief as she saw the light ahead. "Come on, he's close!" she exclaimed, her tough exterior softening ever so slightly.
Itsuka followed close behind, her legs pumping furiously as she struggled to keep up with Miruko's breakneck pace. Catching up to Miruko was like trying to chase a whirlwind, but Itsuka refused to give up, even though her lungs were burning and her muscles screamed in protest.
As they emerged from the narrow passageway, Miruko skidded to a stop, her eyes scanning the area frantically. "Woah!" she breathed, gazing out at the city below. "You don't see this every day."
Miruko could only assume that the people below were Heteromorph quirk users, their strange appearances, and abilities a testament to their unique genetic makeup. The streets were filled with creatures that defied explanation, their powers on full display as they went about their daily lives.
The marketplace was bustling with activity, the air thick with the smells of exotic foods and the sounds of vendors hawking their wares.
Itsuka's eyes widened with wonder as she gazed down at the alien landscape, her breath catching in her throat.
She stumbled forward, her legs trembling with exhaustion, her chest heaving with exertion. She had never seen anything like this before, and she couldn't believe she had kept up with Miruko this long.
"M-Miruko..." she stammered, her voice barely above a whisper. "I...I think I need a minute..."
Miruko gave a nod before her ears twitched. She looked from a distance she could catch people gathering and celebrating.
...
Izuku, Ibara, Mina, and Setsuna sat at a tavern, surrounded by the buzz of conversation. The four were the center of attention, with patrons eager to share stories and praise.
A man with striking features - large fins on his neck and under his elbows, white eyes and claws, and white lines on his face and chest - caught their attention. He had a metal holder container under his chin that contained water, and his razor-sharp teeth made them shiver as he smiled.
"Your daddy was a legend in the Pyronite and Piscciss Volann war!" the man exclaimed, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "We were in a heated battle, and I thought I was the best pilot. But your daddy... let's just say he humbled me that day!" He chuckled, clearly relishing the memory. "He shot me down, and I've never forgotten it!"
The man's story was astonishing, yet he spoke with joy and nostalgia rather than anger or resentment. Izuku was both fascinated by the tales and uncomfortable with the praise for his father. He didn't know how to react, feeling a mix of emotions as he listened to the man's reminiscences.
A rather thin man, with technological eyeglasses perched on the end of his nose, leaned in close to the group, his eyes darting back and forth with an unsettling intensity. He didn't seem entirely sane, his movements twitchy and erratic as he spoke. "So, what brings a bunch of humans down here, hmm? We don't often see your kind... " He trailed off, his gaze flicking around the group before snapping back to Mina.
Mina's eyes lit up with interest. "Oh? So you don't often see humans here?"
The thin man let out a high-pitched chuckle, his eyes glinting with a manic energy. "Oh, no, no, no! We get plenty! Plumbers, heroes who stumble through the sewer system... like that Knuckleduster man, he came crashing through here just last week, chasing some poor soul!" He illustrated his point with wild gestures, his hands flailing about like a pair of loose puppet strings.
As he spoke, he began to pace back and forth in front of the group, his eyes darting around the tavern with a paranoid intensity. "You'd be surprised what ends up down here... all sorts of strange creatures and curious characters!" He leaned in close, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "I've seen things, oh yes... things that would make your hair stand on end!"
The group exchanged uneasy glances, unsure how to react to the thin man's erratic behaviour.
Izuku's eyes widened as he recognized the name. "Knuckleduster...?" he repeated, his voice trailing off.
The thin man, who was collectively known as "Old Man Kuroba" by the townspeople, let out a high-pitched chuckle. "Ah, yes, Knuckleduster! That old coot is always causing trouble!"
Just then, a muscular woman with scars and warrior clothing intervened, her massive frame towering over the group at an impressive 10 feet tall. She grasped Old Man Kuroba by the collar, her grip firm but gentle. "Kuroba-san, behave yourself," she said with a hint of amusement. "He may look eccentric, but he's harmless. However, he does have a point - what are you kids doing here?"
Izuku hesitated before explaining, "Uh, we were tracking a few Megawatts, and now we're looking for some kid..."
Here's a revised version of the passage with a word instead of "sparkling":
Setsuna placed her vibrant purple concoction down on the table, her eyes gleaming with excitement. "Ah, the boy in question?" she began, her voice dripping with drama.
"He's a teenager with long black hair, featuring a striking orange streak that covers the right side of his face. And let's not forget those black facial markings - quite the mysterious look, if I do say so myself." She flashed a toothy grin, clearly pleased with her descriptive skills.
Izuku, Ibara, and Mina were indeed impressed, their eyes widening in unison. "Wow, Setsuna, you're a regular detective!" Mina exclaimed.
The woman, still holding Old Man Kuroba by the collar, chuckled and rubbed her chin with her free hand. "Sounds like one of Fistrick's boys, all right. They've been up to something, try looking at the edge of town, that's where they usually hang out."
As the group stood up to leave, Mina suddenly froze, her eyes fixed on something in the distance. Her stance was rigid, her muscles tense, and her face pale. It was as if she had seen a ghost.
Izuku noticed the change in Mina immediately and turned to see what had caused it. That was when he saw her - a towering figure, 17 feet tall, with dark brown skin and stripes on her arms and neck. Her skin had an orange-reddish hue, and her eyes were a piercing pink.
Mina's eyes were wide with fear, and her breathing was shallow. Izuku could see the terror in her eyes, and he knew that she was reliving an old trauma. He quickly moved to her side, concern etched on his face. "Mina, what's wrong?" he asked softly.
Setsuna, oblivious to Mina's distress, was gazing at the woman in wonder. "Wow, look at her! She's so cool!" she exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
But Izuku knew that something was wrong. He saw Mina stumble back and turn around, trying to get away from the woman. He quickly went after her, concern etched on his face. "Mina, wait!" he called out, but she didn't seem to hear him.
...
Izuku caught up with Mina, who was clutching her chest and breathing heavily. "Mina...?" Izuku asked, his voice laced with concern. Mina slowly turned to him, her eyes sunken and her face pale. "Midori," she whispered, her voice barely audible.
Izuku's eyes widened in alarm as he took in Mina's distressed state. He knew something was wrong, but he didn't know what. "I-is... Is everything a-alright?" he stuttered, trying to hide his own worry.
Mina nodded curtly, her eyes flashing with a hint of annoyance. "Yep."
Izuku hesitated, unsure if he should push the issue further. But something about Mina's demeanour told him that she was struggling. "A-Are you sure?" he asked again, his voice softer this time.
Mina shut her eyes, taking a deep breath before answering. "Look, I'm fine, Midoriya, no need to worry." But her words lacked conviction, and Izuku could see the fear lingering in her eyes.
Izuku looked at her with empathy, understanding that she was trying to hide her true feelings. "I used to be afraid of Kacchan," he admitted, his voice low and honest. "He would bully me all the time, and I would flinch every time he raised his voice. But I realized that I couldn't let him control me. I had to face my fear head-on."
Mina's eyes snapped open, surprise written across her face. She had known that Bakugou and Midoriya had a troubled past, but she didn't realize how much Izuku had struggled with it.
"I'm not afraid of him anymore," Izuku said, his voice firm and resolute. "I know he's still the same person, but I'm not the same person either. I've grown stronger, and I won't let him bully me again."
Mina listened intently, her expression softening as she realized the depth of Izuku's courage. She had never seen him as strong before, and it touched her heart.
Mina's eyes dropped to the floor as her hands relaxed, and she took a deep breath. Despite being so afraid of Bakugou, Izuku had stood up to him, and she realized now that all those times were far more admirable than she had previously thought.
"I... I didn't know... I mean, I know Bakugou's a dick, but knowing... despite that, you stood up to him the way you did. You even beat him in the sports festival without an alien," Mina said, a hint of a smile on her face.
Izuku smiled a little, looking pleased with himself. But Mina could see the faintest glimmer of vulnerability in his eyes, a hint of fear that he was trying to hide.
Without thinking, she reached out and hugged him tightly. "Thank you, Izuku," she whispered, her voice barely audible.
Izuku's eyes widened in surprise, and he became flustered. "W-wait, Mina! What are you doing?!" he stuttered, his face turning bright red.
As they hugged, Mina felt a sense of warmth and connection with Izuku that she hadn't experienced before. It was as if they had shared a secret understanding, a bond that went beyond words. Izuku, too, felt a sense of comfort and trust with Mina that he had never felt with anyone else, except maybe Kevin.
As they separated, Mina looked up at Izuku with a gentle smile. "Don't worry, your secret is safe with me," she whispered, her voice barely audible.
Izuku's eyes met hers, and for a moment, they just stared at each other, the tension between them palpable. Mina's face was inches from Izuku's, their lips almost touching. It was as if time had stopped, and all that existed was the two of them.
As they gazed into each other's eyes, their hearts began to beat faster, the air around them charged with electricity. Mina's pulse raced with excitement, and Izuku's face grew hotter by the second.
Just as their lips were about to connect, Izuku's danger sense went off, and he turned to see an angry Miruko charging towards him. "You idiot!" she screamed, her face red with rage.
Izuku's eyes widened in surprise, and he tried to defend himself, but Miruko was too fast. She comedically kicked him, sending him flying across the alleyway.
Izuku crashed into a garbage pile, the sudden sound catching the attention of Ibara and Setsuna, who quickly rushed to the scene. They found Mina, Miruko fuming, and Izuku, who was now buried in trash.
Izuku looked up at Miruko, who was glaring at him with a fierce expression. "M-Miruko," he stuttered. "W-What are you doing here?"
Miruko's face turned even redder, her voice low and menacing. "You think you can just run off without telling me, Midoriya? I'm your mentor, you idiot! I'm responsible for you!"
Miruko then stormed over to Izuku, her movements swift and angry. She grabbed him by the scruff of his neck and hoisted him over her shoulder, carrying him off like a sack of potatoes.
"Put me down, Miruko!" Izuku protested, his voice muffled by Miruko's shoulder.
Miruko just grunted, her anger palpable. "You're going back to the agency, Midoriya. And then we're going to have a long talk over a nice long sparring session. "
Izuku gulped before struggling in Miruko's grip. "Look, I can't go back yet. We just found a lead!" he protested.
Miruko's expression changed from anger to confusion. "Huh?" she asked, her voice a mix of frustration and curiosity.
Ibara walked over to them, a serious look on his face. "There's a group of villains, known as Megawatts. They've been running a merc through the city. We have a lead on someone who might know their whereabouts, but he attacked us and got away."
Miruko's eye twitched in anger. "Okay, first off, where are your mentors?" she demanded, her voice firm and authoritative.
Mina, Setsuna, and Ibara exchanged nervous glances, their eyes wide with fear. They knew they were in trouble for ditching their mentors and leaving their phones behind.
"Uh, we, uh, didn't think it was necessary to bring them," Mina stammered, trying to come up with an excuse.
Miruko's expression turned stern. "Not necessary? You're lucky I'm here to bail you out! You three are in big trouble, and you're going to have to answer to your mentors!"
The three girls gulped in unison, realizing the gravity of their mistake. They knew they had disobeyed the rules and were now facing the consequences.
"Thought so," Miruko said, her voice firm. "I'll be leading this investigation, and you three are going to follow my lead. No questions, no arguments. Got it?"
The three girls nodded eagerly, relieved that Miruko was willing to take charge and help them out of the mess they had created. "Yes, ma'am!" they chimed in unison.
Miruko's eye twitched in anger. "Okay, first off, where are your mentors?" she demanded, her voice firm and authoritative.
Mina, Setsuna, and Ibara exchanged nervous glances, their eyes wide with fear.
"We were instructed to go after their Megawatts. During our chase, we ended up here." Ibara stated.
Miruko's expression turned stern. "Okay, you were at least given permission, but your mentors, I probably worried about losing sight of you."
The three girls nodded sheepishly, knowing they had made a grave mistake.
"Thought so," Miruko said, her voice firm.
Izuku looked at Miruko with a pleading expression. "Please, we're so close! Aren't you the one who always says 'experience is the best teacher'?" he asked, referring to the interviews she had given, where she had emphasized the importance of hands-on experience.
Miruko reluctantly put Izuku down. "Fine. But I'll be leading this investigation. You're all inexperienced, plus I could use some excitement."
"And you three are going to follow my lead. No questions, no arguments. Got it?"
The four nodded eagerly, relieved that Miruko was willing to take charge and help them out of the mess they had created. "Yes, ma'am!" they chimed in unison.
Izuku looked around, concern etched on his face. "By the way, where's Itsuka?" he asked, his eyes scanning the area until they landed on her.
The girl pointed to Itsuka, who was currently exhausted, her face pale and sweaty. She was taking deep breaths, trying to keep up with Miruko, but it was clear she was struggling. Her legs were trembling, and her eyes looked sunken.
As soon as she saw Izuku, relief washed over her face, but it was quickly replaced by a scowl. "Izuku, you idiot," she muttered, her voice laced with exhaustion. "I was worried sick about you, and you made me chase after you...and then I had to keep up with Miruko...this is torture."
Miruko, who was walking ahead, turned around and raised an eyebrow. "Hey, you're still on your feet. That's more than I expected. You've got some stamina, kid."
Itsuka glared at Miruko. "That's not exactly comforting, Miruko. This is still torture!"
Miruko chuckled. "Well, at least you're not crying like some pros, who tried to keep up with me, I've seen. You've got spirit, I'll give you that."
Itsuka shook her head, still looking disgruntled. "You're enjoying this, aren't you, Miruko?"
Miruko grinned. "Maybe a little."
Itsuka gave Izuku a withering glare. "Just hope you know I'm totally getting back for this." Izuku gulped nervously.
As they walked, they noticed Setsuna, Shiozaki, and Ashido approaching. "Hey, big sis!" Setsuna said with a toothy grin. Ibara gave a bow, while Mina's face was still flushed from the almost-kiss with Izuku.
"What are you guys doing here?" Itsuka asked, confusion etched on her face.
The four teenagers exchanged looks before sighing. "It's a long story," Setsuna said.
After a few minutes of downtime, Midoriya explained the situation, leaving out the details about the Omnitrix and his father. "Aliens, huh?" Miruko chewed on some food. "That explains a few things. Their tech is way too advanced."
"And you're chasing these... Megawatts?" Itsuka asked, to which Ibara and Setsuna nodded.
Miruko's expression turned serious. "Listen up, kids. When dealing with villains, remember that they often use civilians as shields or put them in harm's way to escape. Your priority is to protect the innocent, even if it means letting the villain get away."
"But how do we balance saving civilians and stopping the villain?" Izuku asked, looking concerned.
Miruko smiled grimly. "That's the hard part. You need to stay alert and adapt quickly. Sometimes, you'll have to make tough choices, but always keep your wits about you. And don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it."
Izuku raised an eyebrow. "You're saying we should ask for help? But you never ask for help, Miruko."
Miruko chuckled. "Ah, well, that's true. I don't ask for help often... okay, ever. But that's because I'm a bit of a hypocrite. Coming from me, that advice might sound a bit rich, but trust me, it's important to know when to ask for help."
The teenagers nodded, taking in Miruko's advice.
As they walked, they noticed the boy who had previously run away from them, exiting a garage with a phone to his ear. "Yeah, they were definitely UA -" He noticed them and quickly transformed his phone into a gun, blasting an electrical energy beam at the group.
Miruko smirked as they scattered, dodging the attack. "Looks like we found him!" she exclaimed.
The boy, Corvo, rolled under the garage door and shut it behind him. Itsuka enlarged her fist, ready to break down the door, but then they heard the roar of an engine.
A rugged, jeep-like vehicle emerged from the garage, its yellow and orange colour scheme tainted with an eerie glow. Subtle, sinister modifications hinted at alien tech, with a twisted bumper, pulsing hood ornament, and shimmering wheels. Despite minor changes, the vehicle exuded an unsettling, technorganic presence.
Corvo blasted off, almost running over the heroes and hero students. Itsuka used her newfound strength to leap alongside Miruko, Izuku, Mina, Ibara, and Setsuna, who began running. Mina used her acid to slide down the street like skates.
"Midori, go! We'll catch up later!" Mina confirmed.
"Yeah! Don't worry about us!" Setsuna reinforced.
Ibara turned to Izuku, her eyes shining with determination. "May the gods of justice guide us in our pursuit of righteousness. Let us apprehend this sinner and bring them before the light of truth!"
Izuku nodded, activating the Omnitrix. The dial popped up, displaying a holographic figure of SpiderMonkey. With a green flash.
"Spider Monkey!!" Izuku exclaimed, activating his Quirk. Spider Monkey sprang into action, launching a web string at a nearby rooftop and swinging through the city with ease. Corvo, however, was not interested in playing nice, and he hurled the vehicle forward, putting bystanders in harm's way. Miruko quickly sprang into action, saving the civilians with her quick reflexes.
As Spider Monkey swung closer, Corvo tried to shake him off, but the UA student was relentless. He launched a web string at the back of the car, grabbing a manhole cover and using it as a makeshift sled to slide along the road, sparks flying as he went. Corvo snarled in frustration, trying to lose Spider Monkey, but the arachnid hero was stuck to the back of the car like glue.
"Leave me alone! I didn't even do anything!" Corvo shouted, his face red with anger.
"Then why'd you run, then?" Miruko asked, her grin never faltering.
Corvo gritted his teeth and punched the car into overdrive. Spider Monkey felt the rush of wind as the car sped up, but his sticky powers kept him anchored to the vehicle. "Pull over!" Miruko shouted, but Corvo just laughed maniacally.
Suddenly, Spider Monkey's Danger Sense went off, and he dodged an energy beam shot from under the car. "Tch, slippery insect," Corvo muttered, shooting off two more blasts.
"Insect? Buddy, I'm an arachnid," Spider Monkey corrected before punching a hole through the car and grabbing the wheel. Corvo's eyes widened in horror as Spider Monkey made the car swerve at high speed, the vehicle tumbling through the air before crashing to the ground.
Spider Monkey leapt off, shooting a web string to pull Corvo from the wreckage. He roughly tossed Corvo to Miruko, who caught him with a swift kick that sent him crashing into a nearby wall. Corvo coughed out some saliva before composing himself, but before he could try to escape, roots erupted from the ground and wrapped him up, capturing him.
Corvo struggled through the vines, his face red with frustration, until Ibara, Setsuna, and Mina arrived on the scene. "Good job, Shiozaki!" Izuku praised, and the girl nodded curtly.
Miruko and Itsuka approached the tied-up boy, who glared at them with a mixture of anger and fear. Miruko smirked slightly, her eyes glinting with amusement, while Itsuka patted Izuku's back. "Nice job, Izuku!"
Miruko turned her attention to the boy, her expression turning stern. "We know you know something about the Megawatts, spill."
The boy snorted, a look of defiance crossing his face. "I don't know what you're talking about. But I do know you girls are pretty interesting. Especially you, Miruko. You're really cute when you're angry. Maybe we could... you know, have some fun together. You and the other girls, that is. And the green-haired dork over there can just leave."
Shiozaki shook her head, her expression disapproving. "I'll pray for your soul, boy. You clearly need it."
Mina and Setsuna chimed in unison, "As if!"
Miruko's expression turned cold, her eyes flashing with anger. She kicked the wall near his head, the entire wall crumbling down, inches from his face. The boy's eyes went wide with horror, his face pale.
"Unless you want the wall to be your head, talk," Miruko growled, her foot hovering inches from his face. "I don't want to have some punk's brains on my foot."
The boy's defiance crumbled, replaced by fear. "Okay, okay! I'll talk! Just please don't hurt me!"
Miruko removed her foot from the wall and turned to Corvo, the criminal they had caught. "So, what do you know about the Megawatts?"
Corvo scoffed. "You think you're so tough? You wouldn't last a minute against my boss!"
Miruko raised an eyebrow. "Oh, really? And who's your boss?"
Before Corvo could answer, they heard a strange noise coming from the wrecked car. Itsuka's eyes narrowed. "That doesn't sound like a typical engine."
The five of them approached the vehicle, and Corvo began to panic. "There's nothing in there, I swear!"
Setsuna's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "Okay, now we definitely have to check this out."
Itsuka and Izuku lifted the hood of the car, revealing a strange cylindrical device with glowing yellow electricity pulsing through it. Suddenly, it cracked and exploded, spewing smoke and glass shards everywhere. A familiar yellow electricity sparked out, and a small alien creature emerged.
"Megawatt!" the five of them exclaimed in unison.
The little alien began zapping Corvo with yellow blasts of electricity. "Ahh! Stop! Please stop!" Corvo screamed, his body convulsing with each zap. "Zzzt! Zzzt!"
Miruko watched with a mixture of fascination and concern. "So that's a Megawatt?"
As they watched, more Megawatts appeared, all with angry expressions. They zapped Corvo repeatedly, leaving him scorched and covered in electrical burns. "Zzzt! Zzzt! Ahh! Stop!"
Then, the six Megawatts turned to Izuku and nodded in unison, making gestures for them to follow.
"Hey, do they want us to follow them?" Mina asked, confusion etched on her face.
Izuku shrugged. "I think so?"
"But why?" Shiozaki asked, her eyes fixed on the Megawatts. "What do they need our help for?"
The Megawatts gestured again, this time more urgently.
"I don't know, but I think we should trust them," Izuku said, despite his own reservations.
The group hesitated, but the Megawatts' gestures grew more insistent. Finally, they relented, following the little aliens as they zipped away.
Corvo watched them go, anger and helplessness burning in his eyes. "I don't like this," he muttered, still feeling the residual shock of the Megawatts. "You're all going to regret this."
He struggled against his restraints but was stuck fast, rooted to the ground. Corvo's face twisted in a scowl.
...
The five students and Pro Hero Miruko chased after the Megawatts, who seemed to be in a great hurry as they travelled through the power lines. As they emerged onto a bustling street, Izuku realized that following them would be difficult.
"I'll follow them," Izuku said, looking at Miruko and the others. "The streets are too crowded, and the Megawatts are in a real hurry. But you can track my location via my phone."
Miruko nodded curtly. "Be careful, Midoriya. Don't engage the villains until we catch up."
Izuku activated the Omnitrix, cycling through the options before stopping at the silhouette of a Megawatt. "Let's try this guy out!" he exclaimed, raising his hand and slamming it on the dial. A burst of green light obscured their vision briefly before fading.
"I suddenly feel over-energized and mischievous," Buzzshock said, now transformed into a Megawatt. He laughed and converted himself into pure electricity, following the Megawatts through the power lines.
Miruko's eyes followed him for a fraction of a second longer than necessary. Her expression remained stern, but her gaze held a faint hint of warmth.
Izuku was now a Nosedeenian. He's dark dura cell body was now emanating sparks of electricity.
She turned to the others, her voice crisp and professional. "Let's move out. We need to keep up with Midoriya's signal and make sure he doesn't get into trouble."
As they set off, Miruko's eyes flicked back to her phone, tracking Midoriya's location. Her brow furrowed slightly, her concern for his safety evident. But beneath that concern, a tiny spark of pride and admiration flickered to life.
...
As the Megawatts erupted from the power lines, the air crackled with green and yellow sparks that lit up the darkening sky. The smell of ozone filled the air, pungent and acrid, making Izuku's nose wrinkle. The sound of buzzing electricity filled his ears, a steady hum that seemed to vibrate through his very bones.
Buzzshock, now transformed back into Izuku, looked around, taking in their surroundings. They were at a warehouse, a large, metal building that seemed to loom over them. The Megawatts seemed to be in a hurry to get inside, gesturing frantically towards the entrance.
Izuku crouched down beside them, his eyes fixed on the warehouse. "Is this the place you wanted us to come?" he asked, but the Megawatts just stared at him, their eyes wide and urgent.
Izuku tried again, "What's going on? Why are you guys in such a hurry?" But the Megawatts didn't respond, their faces twisted in anxiety.
Izuku's confusion deepened, but he knew he had to wait for his friends. "I'm not going in there without Miruko and the others," he said firmly. "Let's wait for them to arrive."
The Megawatts nodded vigorously, their eyes darting towards the entrance. Izuku could sense their urgency, but he stood firm, his eyes scanning the surrounding area for any sign of his friends.
Soon, he heard the familiar footsteps of Miruko as she ran before hopping towards him, "So this is the place?" She asked, her voice breathless and energetic. Izuku nodded, before looking around.
"Uhm... Where's everyone else?" Miruko chuckled nervously before the others came into view.
Itsuka was the first to arrive, her face flushed and sweaty, her eyes sunken from exhaustion. "So this is the place?" she asked, her voice weak.
Next came Setsuna, her legs trembling with fatigue, her eyes drooping with a mix of exhaustion and relief. "How is she so fast?"
Mina said, referring to Miruko, as Mina collapsed onto the ground, her body language screaming exhaustion.
Setsuna herself was bent over, her hands on her knees, gasping for air, her face pale and clammy. "Guess those sexy legs aren't just for show," she said, her voice laced with a mix of admiration and envy.
Ibara arrived last, her white robe dishevelled and clinging to her sweat-dampened skin, her dark brown knee-high boots scuffed and dusty from the journey. Her eyes drooped with exhaustion, her legs trembling beneath her as she struggled to stay upright, her breath coming in ragged gasps.
Despite their exhaustion, the group pushed on ahead sneaking into the warehouse.
The group gazed upon a massive machine in the warehouse's center, its middle section encircled by yellow orbs that seemed to pulsate with an otherworldly energy. As they drew closer, the Megawatts launched themselves at the orbs, revealing capsules containing their brethren.
"By the gods," Ibara whispered, her eyes wide with horror. "They're using them as a power source."
Mina's voice was barely audible. "This is terrible."
Miruko's eyes narrowed. "We need to act fast."
As they spoke, Miruko gestured for the group to follow her, leading them toward a walkway. A man in a robotic suit emerged, his mechanical arms crackling with electricity. "Some of the batteries have escaped!" he alerted, before leaping off the walkway and absorbing the Megawatts into a glass container on his shoulder.
Izuku's danger sense flared, and Miruko's ears twitched in response. "Prepare for battle," she warned.
Izuku charged forward, his One For All power crackling with energy. He side-swept the man's leg, sending him stumbling, before Miruko followed with a swift backkick that sent the mechanized man flying. The other man's face contorted in shock, then scowled as he unleashed a blast of electricity.
Ibara swiftly reacted, her vines burrowing into the ground to shield her friends. "Protect us," she whispered, her eyes closed in concentration.
Izuku activated the Omnitrix, ready to face whatever was coming their way. The warehouse doors opened, and Fistrick walked in, his confidence striding with him. He had an orange Mohawk, black and white paint around his face and a muscular physique.
"You better be worth interrupting my workout for," he said, eyeing the teenagers and Pro Hero Miruko.
"Looks like heroes, Fistrick, Miruko, and a couple of UA students," one of his minions said.
Fistrick walked up to a punching bag, his muscles rippling beneath his sleeveless shirt as he began to let out his frustrations. "Humans shouldn't know about the alien tech, how the fuck is Miruko onto us?"
Miruko scowled, her eyes narrowing. "Sir, the kid with green hair is Hisashi's son," one of the minions said.
Fistrick turned to Midoriya, a smirk twisting his face. "Well, shit, Hisashi's overgrown sperm. Your daddy ruined a lot of my business back in the day, now his little shit is doing the same."
Miruko stated, "I didn't see a sign-out front," before grinning and stretching, preparing for a fight.
Fistrick continued, "Ha, this kind of alien tech just doesn't fall off a truck. After his daddy died, business has been booming. I steal alien tech."
Itsuka cracked her knuckles. "Oh, I get it. One alien makes it, you steal it, and another powers it and you mass produce it..."
Fistrick gestured to Setsuna, who scowled. "And I sell it to the highest bidder, pretty smart bro."
Setsuna broke herself into different body parts. "I'm not your bro."
Miruko smirked, seeing the students were ready to fight. She raised her foot, performing an axe kick that cracked the ground apart.
Izuku dialled through his selection, slammed down on the Omnitrix, and with a green flash, exclaimed, "Diamondhead!!"
"You can presto-chango all you want. I'm still going to squash you all like bugs!" Fistrick exclaimed as he punched his palm.
Itsuka leapt into action, enlarging her fist towards the goon, who opened his palm and shot a blast of electricity towards Kendo. Setsuna punched him in the face, and Mina used her acid-like skates to melt one of his mechanical arms.
Sparks flew as his arm clattered to the ground, and then Itsuka delivered a devastating blow, smashing the goon into the ground with a powerful shockwave. The goon crashed into the earth, leaving a deep fist-shaped crater in the ground, his body trembling from the impact. The sound of the hit echoed through the warehouse, a testament to the force of Itsuka's attack.
Fistrick's goons were taken down, and he shook his head disapprovingly. "You just made a big mistake, bro." Mina retorted with a smirk, "I make a lot of mistakes, but shutting you down isn't one of them!"
Miruko launched herself at another goon, but a mechanical shield blocked her attack. Fistrick smirked and turned to flee, but then a platform in the center of the room began to open, revealing a hidden chamber beneath. Fistrick leaped onto the platform, which lifted him up and engulfed him in a bright light.
As the light faded, a massive 13-foot mech suit emerged from the platform, smoke billowing around it. Fistrick's voice echoed from within the mech suit, "You never asked why we needed so many Nosedeenians." The screams of the Megawatts echoed from the glass containers attached to the mech suit.
The group had to step back as the mech suit towered over them. "You never asked why we needed so many Nosedeenians," Fistrick gloated, as the mech suit targeted the six with red dots. Missiles erupted from its arms, and Diamondhead quickly created a protective shield around Itsuka, Mina, and Ibara. Setsuna, meanwhile, split her body into multiple parts, scattering herself throughout the warehouse to avoid the missiles. Her disembodied limbs and torso dodged and weaved around the explosions, reassembling themselves whenever it was safe to do so.
The missiles struck the ground with incredible force, sending shockwaves through the warehouse and causing the walls to crack and crumble. The explosions were so powerful that they created small craters on the floor, and the sound of the blasts was deafening. The air was filled with the acrid smell of smoke and ozone.
As the explosions subsided, Ibara, Mina, and Itsuka emerged from their protective crystals, and Diamondhead stood firm, his crystal body glowing with determination. "Whoa, I love it!" Fistrick exclaimed within the mech suit, his footsteps shaking the ground with each step.
Diamondhead shot crystals like a machine gun, but they shattered on impact. Miruko jumped towards him, concerned. "Stop shooting! You might hit the Megawatts!" Diamondhead stopped, and Miruko addressed him. "We can fight, but we need to take him down without hurting them."
Diamondhead nodded, his crystal heart fluttering with admiration for Miruko's consideration. "It won't be easy," he said, but Miruko grinned.
"It never is."
Soon the mech began to charge, each step rumbling through the ground before it started shooting lasers. Everyone took cover, except Diamondhead, who stood firm as the lasers bounced off his crystal body.
Miruko began to instruct him, "Dekiru, or er... Diamondhead, listen up, kid. You're gonna place well shots, I'll handle the rest." Diamondhead smirked, thinking, "I should shout out my names more often."
As the mech charged, Diamondhead morphed his hands and began to aim, shooting well-aimed crystals at the mech's weak spots. The sudden attack made the mech explode, and Miruko launched herself at the mech with a powerful backkick. The kick caused damage through the suit and sent Fistrick flying back and crashing into the wall.
Fistrick grunted inside the suit, "Damnit!" as Diamondhead shot a projectile, disabling the mech's aiming system. Fistrick quickly realized that Miruko was about to attack where Diamondhead had shot, and he grabbed her leg to her surprise. "No one told me it's rabbit season," Fistrick said with a grin, as he tried to use his other arm to blast apart Miruko.
But before he could attack, Ibara's vines wrapped around his arm, immobilizing it. Mina leapt onto the mech's arm, her hands glowing with acid. "I got you, Miruko!" she exclaimed, as she began to melt the mech's arm.
The metal sizzled and dripped like wax, the acid eating away at it with ease. Miruko smirked, watching as the mech's arm disintegrated before her eyes. Fistrick's face contorted in panic as he realized his arm was being melted off. "No, no, no!" he shouted, trying to pull away, but Mina's grip was too strong. She held tight, her acid burning through the mech's metal-like paper. With a final sizzle, the arm came off, and Miruko was free. She grabbed Mina and pulled her away from the mech, as Fistrick's other hand broke free from Ibara's vines.
As Fistrick launched a punch, Miruko protected Mina, taking the full brunt of the punch and flying through the air like a ragdoll before crashing through the wall.
She coughed out blood, wiped it from her mouth, and cracked her knuckles, her psychotic smile growing wider as she bolted off towards the enemy. Mina, still in pain, was helped by Setsuna, who tried to free some Megawatts from their prison in the mech suit. Fistrick noticed her and began to aim, but Setsuna avoided the attack.
"Don't worry about it!" Miruko reassured her. Then, with a maniacal smile, Miruko came charging like a bull, her eyes fixed on Fistrick. Diamondhead crouched down, encasing Fistrick's legs in crystals, trapping him in place. Because his legs were trapped, Miruko's powerful kick severed them, the force of the blow sending shockwaves through the warehouse.
The kick was so powerful that it shattered the mech's armor, but did not expose Fistrick. Diamondhead charged forward, morphing his arm into a blade and stabbing the mech's midsection before ripping it apart with his bare crystal hands.
Miruko pulled out Fistrick and tossed him aside, and as he tried to stand up, Itsuka delivered a devastating right hook that sent him flying and knocked him out.
...
A few minutes later, Fistrick and his gang were tied up in Ibara's vines. Izuku had called All Might and informed him of the situation, to which All Might responded with a mix of surprise and annoyance. Izuku then turned to the others, who were exhausted and being patched up by Miruko and some of the citizens.
"Sorry guys, I got you dragged into this," Izuku said, feeling guilty for putting his new friends in harm's way.
Setsuna's face lit up with a smile as she looked at Izuku, her eyes shining with amusement. "You know, this whole day I had to pick up trash, clean, basically meaningless grunt work, basically... Totally fun," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. As she spoke, she leaned in closer to Izuku, her shoulder almost touching his.
"But I actually helped people, er... Aliens but you get my point," Setsuna said making Izuku chuckle a little.
Mina nodded enthusiastically, her eyes shining with excitement.
"I think I learned way more today than I'm gonna learn this whole week," said, her voice bubbly and energetic. As she spoke, she reached out and playfully nudged Izuku's arm with her elbow, her face inches from his.
Ibara's expression was a bit more serious, but her eyes betrayed a hint of warmth." I may have to admit, this has been far more interesting than what I've been doing," she said, her voice firm but gentle. She stood up straight, her arms crossed over her chest, her gaze fixed intently on Izuku.
"I'm guessing Kamui Woods will have a few choice words for me," Ibara said with a resigned tone, already bracing herself for the punishment to come.
"Yeah, and I'm probably going to be cleaning toilets for a week straight," Mina added with a groan.
Miruko chuckled and scratched her head. "Well, if you three can shape up and show some real improvement, I might just consider sending you some offers next year."
The three girls lit up like fireworks, their faces beaming with excitement. They swarmed around Miruko, thanking her profusely and bubbling over with enthusiasm. Miruko rolled her eyes good-naturedly, a smile still playing on her lips.
"Alright, alright, don't get too ahead of yourselves. You still have a long way to go before you're worthy of joining me. So, get to training and don't waste my time!" she said with a laugh.
...
[Timeskip]
As they emerged from the underground cavern, the group was greeted by the warm glow of the rising sun. Mina stretched her arms and yawned, "We've been up all night?" she asked, her voice laced with a mix of surprise and exhaustion.
Setsuna nodded, her eyes squinting slightly in the bright morning light. "Ah, man," she said, her voice dripping with a hint of disappointment. "I didn't realize we'd been down there for so long."
The others nodded in agreement, their faces reflecting a mix of fatigue and exhilaration. Despite the lack of sleep, they all seemed to be buzzing with energy, still high on the thrill of their underground adventure.
As they began to make their way back to the surface, the group fell into a comfortable silence, each lost in their own thoughts. The only sound was the soft crunch of gravel beneath their feet, and the distant chirping of birds as they greeted the new day.
Setsuna, Ibara and Mina saw the pros that they were interning with who were currently had disappointed, and relieved expressions. They groaned from how much trouble they probably were in.
As Miruko finished explaining the situation, Mina stepped forward, a sweet smile on her face.
"Oh, before I go!" She walked up to Izuku and planted a kiss on his cheek, her soft lips sending a flutter through his heart. His cheeks warmed up with a soft blush, and he couldn't help but give an awkward smile at her sweet gesture.
Setsuna watched Mina's kiss with a hint of surprise, and for a moment, a pang of something akin to jealousy fluttered in her chest.
But then, her expression softened, and her teasing smirk was replaced by a genuine smile. She walked up to Izuku and planted a playful peck on his cheek, her lips leaving a tingling sensation.
"You're cute," she said before leaving, her voice dripping with sincerity.
Ibara, who had been watching the exchange with a gentle smile, felt a pang in her chest before she walked up to Izuku. She pulled out the three spheres he had bought earlier and handed them to him, her eyes locked on his.
