Chapter 5
Nico
"What?" Three voices screeched together. I internally winced at the loud voice and smirked, "Yep."
Annaebth started to fire questions at me, "Is it true that they can't come in uninvited? Or that holy water and cross brings them immense pain? Or that they can turn into bats? Or that they can read minds? Or-"
"Woah! Calm down!" My lips quirked in amusement, "I never thought the word vampire, can bring out this reaction.
"And to answer your questions, yes, no, no, yes." I smirked.
"They can read minds?" Thalia demanded.
"Well, if your mental barrier is good, then it might be harder to read yours." I carried on, "And the stronger ones can turn into animals, not just bats."
"Dam, and I here I thought that we can finally have some peace away from the excitement." Percy sighed sadly.
"Don't count on it, the Fates hate you." Thalia quipped.
"So in conclusion, vampires are real-" Annabeth started.
"Werewolves are real, and half-werewolves are real as well." Thalia finished.
"Actually, mortals call the 'half-werewolves'," I put my hand up to form a quotation mark when I said half-werewolves, "werewolves because they didn't know Lycaon and his pack."
"And the legacies of Hecate?" Annabeth pondered, "let me guess, witches?"
"Correct." I nodded.
"And we have a winner!"
"Shut up!" Whack.
"What's it got to do with us though?" Thalia asked the million dollar question in our mind.
"Maybe..." Percy started.
"Yes?" Annabeth asked.
"Maybe the presence of death, ghost and magic outside is actually these vampires, werewolves and witches?" Percy suggested.
"That might be possible." I agreed.
"Wow, Kelp Head actually using his brain for once!" Thalia said with eyes wide, "The world is ending!"
"Shut up!" Percy said, his face bright red.
"So this time, thankfully we are not dealing with titans and giants, instead vampires, half-werewolves and legacies of Hecate who does not know where their power came from?" Annabeth wanted to confirm.
"Unfortunately yes, we are dealing with those pests." I grumbled, "I need to report this to Father."
"By the way, Kelp Head, have you changed your mind and decided to tell Sally and Paul about this so they can protect themselves better?" Thalia asked pointedly.
"Yeah," He sighed dejectedly, "I think they should know about this, though they are going to be disappointed of this place. One of the reason they moved was to avoid all the excitement after all."
Annaebeth patted his shoulder and reassured him, "But the information can protect them better, so it's more protection and harm."
"I hope so, Wise Girl, I hope so." He abruptly changed the topic, "Now, continuing, Death Breath, can you please share your dream?"
I was taken aback for a moment, why me before Thalia? But Percy gave me a look and whispered dramatically, "I do not want to invoke the famous anger of Zeus." Thunder rumbled outside and Percy yelled at it, "You know it's true, Thunder Pants!"
"Fine fine, I'll go next." I relented while inwardly groan. This was going to be a long discussion.
Percy
"I saw my Father in my dream," Nico started, "And he told me not to kill the vampires in Mystic Falls." He pouted, "I don't understand though! I mean they cheated death! They need to be brought to justice! He hated them as even more than I do."
"Did he say why?" Annabeth asked.
"I hope it's not another prophecy." Thalia grumbled.
"He just said that the Fates decreed it." Nico sighed, "And knowing them, it's another prophecy."
We all groaned. Why us? The current generation demigods had already faced three great prophecies! Three! Why did all the world ending events happen in this decade! From Kronos to evil Roman emperors (though I hated Dirt Face the most... but the emperors were not that far behind).
"I said it a lot of times, but I want to say it again, I hate the Fates." I declared.
"I think the feeling is mutual." Thalia said seriously.
"Hmph." I stuck my tongue at them.
"Anyway," Annabeth interjected sharply, "Thalia, your dream?"
"Ah, right." She put her hand on the floor, "I saw two vamps."
We all leaned forward expectedly.
"So, the two vamps are called Damon and Stefan Salvator." She started, "They were from Italy. Born in 1839. They are currently living in Mystic Falls, in the Salvator boarding house."
"We've got a vamp as a neighbour?" I asked appalled.
"Go tell Sally after this meeting." Annabeth stopped me before I even moved. She knew me too well. "But we still need to finish this meeting."
"One of them, I think Stefan, goes to the Mystic Falls High School." Thalia continued, shooting me an annoyed look.
"And as a classmate?" Now it's Nico who grumbled.
"Yes, now shut up and let me continue." Thalia said exasperated. "Anyway, they had this sort of love triangle with a girl called Elena Gilbert."
"Ewwwww!" I leaned back in mock disgust, "Dating a living dead? That's disgusting!"
"Wait a moment, did you say Gilbert?" Nico suddenly asked.
"Yeah, why do you ask?" Thalia wondered.
"There was a witch and she cursed the Gilbert bloodline, and Elena's mother was a Guardian, so she is not so normal as you guys think." Nico explained, "The curse made her into a species called doppelgänger, and she can have some Guardian powers when in danger."
"So, there are more supernaturals?" Annabeth rubbed her head, "Vampires, werewolves, witches, doppelgängers, Guardians. And the next thing we know, there are ghosts and Japanese kitsunes."
"Actually..." Nico pointed out sheepishly.
"Oh Hades!" Annabeth threw up her hand in annoyance, "All of these would be much clearer if there is a book!"
"Don't use my Father's name as a curse word!"
"Only you, Annie, would wish for a book." Thalia sighed.
"Don't call me Annie!" Annabeth snapped, "Maybe I can IM Mother and see if she can provide a book?" She suggested.
"Yeah, do that." I nodded, "And Thals, what do you think the dream meant?"
"I think that we need to work with them in the future?" Thalia thought for a moment, "Or they are our enemies so the Gods send us dreams to know more about them?"
"I would prefer the second." Nico took out his Stygian Iron sword and mimicked a stabbing motion, "I want to stab stab."
"I think if there's a prophecy, you can have a lot of chances to stabby stab." I smirked, "To be honest, I want to slashy slash."
"Is there even a word slashy?" Annabeth asked incredulously.
"I don't think so," Thalia shook her head, "Though I want to put my arrow through something soon. I want some actions soon."
"I think I saw some woods on the way here, maybe you can go hunting tonight?" I suggested.
"Yeah! Hunting!" She out her fist into the air.
"Beware of the vamps though, they normally come out at night." Nico warned.
"I thought we are discussing Thalia's dream?" Annabeth pointed out.
"Meh, there weren't much to discuss," Thalia waved it away, "But there is one thing that I think is important." She turned serious, "Their diet."
"I thought they drink blood?" I asked confused.
"Oh yes," she nodded, "But Stefan only drink animal blood unless the situation is very dire, and Damon drink human blood for power and to relinquish his hunger. To vampires, animal blood is vey disgusting."
"To us, drinking blood is very disgusting." I commented, "Hey, that rhymes!"
"Of course it rhymes, disgusting and disgusting, what do you expect?" Annabeth scolded.
"So in short, we need to work with monsters." Nico summarised, "Meh, a normal Tuesday for us."
"Or, they are our enemies," I smirked, "Should be a Friday."
"Anyway, to finish this meeting-" Annabeth started but was interrupted by Thalia.
"Noooooooo! Don't finish it yet! My 10 drachmas!" She wailed.
"Ha! Who told you to bet against me?" I grinned while holding out my hand, "Gimme my 10 drachmas!"
"You have the worst and best luck, Kelp Head, are you cursed by Tyche or something?" Nico wondered.
"Anyway," Annabeth emphasised the word, "To summarise, I need to IM my Mother later, Perce need to warn Sally and Paul, Thalia will hunt at night. Supernatural creatures are real and we will need to fight or work with them."
"That's... about right." I blinked.
"Okay! Then, meeting adjourned!" Thalia declared with a bit electricity flying around.
"Drama Queen." I muttered.
"That title belongs to Father!" She whipped her head at me and glared.
"Drama Princess, then." I amended.
"Shut up! Jackson!" She scrambled up and started chasing my around to room.
"Those two..." Annabeth sighed, "I am living with a bunch of children."
