"Stop talking and just kill her, Chew Bomb," said the woman while leaning against a wall with her arms across her chest.
"Yeah, the boss is not paying us to bring her in alive," said the other guy.
"Vortex, Pyro, you don't know how to have fun do you?" asked Chew Bomb while shaking his head and putting another stick of gum into his mouth.
"I need to get out of here," thought Max Girl. However, she suddenly felt pain coursing through her body which caused her to scream.
"Oh, did you just try to use that shadow ability again?" asked Chew Bomb.
"What… what did you do?" asked Max Girl.
"My bombs can disrupt the powers of others when they are caught in the explosions," said Chew Bomb.
"Meaning you're stuck here!" said Pyro as he readied a sphere of flames. As this was happening, Robyn and Nicole had snuck into the basement of the mall where they had found a control panel for the security system.
"I hope this works," said Nicole as she pressed a button.
"How do you like your hero, everyone?!" asked Pyro to the hostages.
"Crispy or well done?!" he asked while preparing to blast Max Girl with the flame. But his fire was put out by the sprinklers going off and raining water down on everyone.
"What's going on?!" asked Vortex.
"You underestimated me," said Max Girl before turning into water.
"Only one of her abilities was shut down?!" asked Chew Bomb.
"Just how strong is this brat?!" asked Pyro while looking around. The next thing he knew, a metal fist came out of the water hitting him in the face, knocking him away from everyone and across the mall.
"Strong enough to beat all of you," said Max Girl before appearing in a metal body.
