The following morning, the four were at school standing away from anyone else and talking about the results from the blood tests.
"You're sure?" asked a surprised Nicole.
"One hundred percent, you two are now mutants, whatever that gas was at the mall caused this even though you weren't close to the source," said Hunter.
"But we were close to Alex while she was still in her Max Girl outfit which was covered in the stuff," asid Nicole.
"If we mutated just from that small amount then everyone who was exposed to the actual gas must have also mutated," said Robyn.
"Why would the group that has been after me do this though, it doesn't make sense to try and kill me and then create a dozen or so mutants," said Alex with a confused expression.
"So we can bring change to the world," said Lizzie as she stood behind them.
"What are you talking about?" asked Robyn.
"It took us a while to find you, Max Girl, but now that we have the time to be hiding is over," said Lizzie before her disguise fell.
"You're the robot from the mall," said a shocked Alex.
"That's right, and we spent a lot to find you and bring my father's master plan to light," said Metallic while a group started to form around them of other students.
"What plan, and why did you try killing me?" asked Alex.
"My father has been working on a way to mutate people and give them superpowers to create a new race," said Metallic.
"And our goal was not to actually kill you but keeping an eye on you," she said.
"You were testing her to understand her powers more," said Hunter.
"Once we realized they were unstable we made the gas to save her and to also change normal humans into the first wave of mutants before the true evolution begins," said Metallic.
"Now join us and take your rightful place as the new ruler of this world," she said while holding her hand out.
"I'll never join you," said Alex with a disgusted expression.
