The episode opened on a Commission play about the Grandfather paradox and why it was the most dangerous paradox within the Commissions guidelines, that if one happened, the whole of reality would likely collapse. Then cutting to Luther sneaking out of the Sparrow Academy again, he hit a news stand, buying mints and condoms, telling the man he has sex now, before noticing another shock wave, it taking the vendor with it this time, before Luther decided to steal the rest of his condoms and leave.

"So, it's bad then?" Diego asked.

"We're fucked if we don't fix it and fast." Five said.

"How do we fix it?"

"Travel back to 1989 and prevent our mothers dying." Five replied. "Only way."

"You can't just steal from people!" Viktor told Luther who held his hands up.

Alison said nothing, glaring as she heard Luther admit he was a virgin.

'A first and that hussy took it from me. When we get out of here, I'm riding him for hours.'

At the Hotel, they discussed the grandfather paradox, as Alison rounded on Five, saying he wasn't in charge and this was probably on him. Five said they had to find out what was wrong and stop it, but this was their home now. Stan said Lila was in the room, so Five stalked off to find her, as Stan tried to practise karate. Klaus said they needed to focus on finding whoever killed their mothers, as Diego said it was Reginald and Viktor and Alison agreed. Luther then came in, saying he'd been kidnapped all day, before realising the others hadn't noticed at all, but admitting he liked the Sparrows and thought the Umbrellas had them all wrong, before mentioning the disappearing salesman, asking who Stan was and wondering where Marcus could be if the Umbrellas didn't have him.

"How is this possibly my fault?" Five asked, surprised. "I'll definitely be getting that briefcase from Lila though before she can try and run."

"We do need to find whatever killed them and stop it." Luther said, agreeing with Klaus. "How did none of you notice I was kidnapped though? Really?"

"We would have in this timeline, I'm sure!" Diego protested as Luther arched an eyebrow.

In the bathhouse, Five confronted Lila, who immediately began attacking him, the two of them exchanged kicks, punches, knife tosses and teleportation until Five sprayed shampoo in Lila's eyes and kicked her in the head, before she called it off. He said he needed her briefcase to go to the Commission and sort out the grandfather paradox, she told him to grab it, showing she had retrieved his as well, when he tried them, neither worked. She remarked it must be the end of the world. Five said it was worse, that he and Lila would have to work together.

"Can you two not get along for five minutes?" Diego rounded on Five.

"You don't even know her in this timeline, Diego!" Five hissed. "She started this anyway!"

"I don't care, you two need to work together if you're gonna stop this Kugel whatever." Diego said as Five grudgingly agreed.

Diego dragged Stan off to find Lila, finding her in just a towel with Five, who held both briefcases, Five said he and Lila had end of the world stuff to deal with, Lila telling Diego it had been over a decade for her, that their only relationship now was via Stan and Diego better be a good father to him. In the lobby, Viktor suggested they tell the Sparrows the truth that maybe they caused a paradox which killed Marcus, as Alison headed off to go find them, with Viktor in tow, telling Luther to stay behind due to Stockholm syndrome.

"So you two are headed out together and lumping me with the kid?" Diego asked.

"Hey, you said we need to work together. Me and Lila know the Commission far better than the rest of you, it's best if us two go." Five reasoned.

In Fei's room of the Academy, Ben sat with Fei, discussing that Marcus was gone. Ben pitched that they move up, to Numbers One and Two. Fei said how he'd had the chance to lead before and it didn't go well, before Ben grabbed one of her ravens, squeezing it, seeing Fei suffer, as he dared her to say it again. She raised over ravens which cawed as they flew overhead, before Grace entered, asking to clean, Ben commanded she do so quickly, before telling Fei it was their turn in the spotlight now, and if the Umbrellas didn't hand Marcus back, they had decisions to make over how to handle them.

"A little coup, eh?" Klaus laughed as Ben glared.

"I was Number One, once. Why shouldn't I be again?" Ben hissed at him.

"What are you planning?" Alison asked.

"Like I'd tell you."

"I could make you." Alison lightly mentioned as Ben paled.

Grace said how God was in the basement and that he called Marcus home, taking him away, before she left the room. Fei asked if Grace needed a check up as Ben told her to focus, and that Sparrow Academy could be theirs.

At the Hotel, Klaus demanded Chet hold all his calls, to which Chet refused, before the bell rang, looking over, Lester Pocket asked Chet for a room, the two of them noticed a news story that hundreds of people had gone missing in recent days as Chet dismissed it as a conspiracy theory.

"Alright, who is this guy and why is he here now?" Alison demanded.

"I'm sure we'll learn by watching, Miss Alison." Pogo told her.

At the Academy, Viktor tried to explain that Marcus was dead, before Alison said they did have him hostage, and to bring the briefcase to the Hotel Obsidian at 4pm, or they'd send Marcus back in pieces. Ben agreed to the deal, as they went their separate ways. On the other end of the Academy, Klaus opened a steam hatch showing some hot water below, saying it took him back, he undressed, revealing a scuba suit, before climbing into the water and closing the hatch behind him.

"Where are you going, Klaus?" Five rounded on him.

"Oh you know, I've got plans, probably." Klaus waved him away.

"What's the plan? We know we don't have Marcus and they probably think it too." Viktor asked Alison.

"Prepare a trap I assume." Diego grinned.

Alison and Viktor talked, Alison said they had to improvise as Viktor was blowing it, Viktor got Alison to agree to run any changes by him next time, they both needed the briefcase to fix their timelines and had to work together. Meanwhile Diego sent Stan off with $8 to spend a few hours away as he surveyed the Hotel area and prepared for the Sparrows to arrive.

In the Academy, Klaus sneaked into Reginald's room, trying to sword fight with a small statue, before begging Reginald to tell him if he killed their mothers. Reginald seemed confused and said he didn't care about Klaus enough to lie to him, before Jayme and Alphonso came in, making Klaus hide.

Jayme and Alphonso gave Reginald pills and forced him to sign some documents, threatening to get Christopher until he did, before leaving, dumping a bowl of cereal for Reginald to eat, Alphonso remarked Reginald stank and said he'd tell the robot to come bathe Reginald.

"My God, Dad. What happened to you?" Klaus asked as Reginald looked resigned.

"I mean I could see it, but what does Dad have to gain by murdering all of our mothers?" Luther asked.

"Who knows with the old man." Klaus shrugged.

"What are they giving you?" Viktor asked.

"I have no idea, Number Seven." Reginald responded. "You, boy, tell me." He addressed Ben, who laughed.

"We're protecting ourselves from you, old man. I'm surprised this lot hasn't drugged you up yet."

"Drugged him up?" Alison asked. "That's actually an idea..."

"You children will do no such thing!" Reginald squawked as the family turned back to the screen, ignoring him.

In the basement, Fei and Ben went to find Grace to find the briefcase, seeing her kneeling before the Kugelblitz, she said it was Jesus, or Buddha or Brahma, Fei asked if this thing took Marcus, Grace confirmed it did, that God was too much for mortals to touch and it arrived when the Umbrella's did.

"Great, now they'll be even more suspicious of us." Viktor groaned.

In the Hotel, Five tried to charge a briefcase using his jumps and jumper cables, shocking himself and setting the briefcase on fire as Lila laughed at him, remarking she didn't think it would work. She then suggested Five try blink back in time, if she mimicked it, they may have enough juice to power the last remaining briefcase. Five said they'd have to trust one another, apologising for killing her birth parents but reminding her than the Handler did kill her and wanted too again, and Diego actually did love Lila, when Lila remarked how his family killed the only woman who ever loved her.

"Did you really trust that she wasn't just trying to hurt you?" Diego smirked as Five glared.

"I was hoping she'd be the bigger person, alright?"

"Aww, I didn't know you had it in you to apologise and hype Diego up, Five." Klaus teased as Five reached over and hit him in the back of the head, ignoring Klaus' protests as he did.

Luther was in the lobby, singing along to the radio, as Diego asked what the plan was to attack the Sparrows, that he had handled the defence of the Hotel. Luther revealed it had been sorted and they were coming to the Hotel for peace, saying how Vanya and Alison handled it. Diego corrected it was Viktor. He then showed he was making a mix tape for Sloane, before admitting to Diego they'd had sex. Diego walked off to find Stan waiting to help, he put Stan in the elevator, pressed all the buttons then left him as the doors closed.

"You're ready to go to war then over this?" Ben asked as the Umbrella's looked at each other and nodded.

"We don't want to fight-" Alison said.

"Speak for yourself." Diego muttered.

"-But we will if we have too." She finished, glaring at her brother. "Luther, now isn't the time to be in love with the enemy!"

"I know, I know." Luther protested, holding his hands up.

At the Academy, Klaus and Reginald watched the news before switching over to a movie, Reginald told him not to trust family, that they'd betray you. Klaus said he wanted to find his mothers killer, then asked for ice cream. Reginald offered to get him some to shut him up, smashing the bowl and blaming the pills. Klaus taught him a trick to pretend to swallow the pills but stop being repressed by them, as Reginald said Klaus was growing on him.

"Why are you helping him?" Diego and Ben both asked Klaus at once.

"I know what it's like to be forced to do something you don't want too, I feel bad." Klaus admitted.

In his hotel room, Lester Pocket listened to Mongolian throat singing before taking out a stethoscope and listening to his own stomach digest food.

"Ok, this is getting weird." Alison remarked.

In the lobby, Diego and Luther talked about how Vanya becoming Viktor was a big deal and Luther suggested they make a gesture to welcome him as brothers, Diego said not to address it, it was big for Viktor but it was his life, don't be weird about it, just to roll with it. They ran into Viktor, Diego asked if Viktor felt loved as Luther wanted to throw a party to prove it, Viktor said he did, Diego said he was loved then asked if they could get back to saving the world. Luther and Viktor smiled at each other before going their separate ways.

"We love you Viktor!" Klaus squealed as Viktor blushed.

In the Academy, Klaus heard Reginald mutter "Oblivion" in his sleep, saying Reginald wasn't so bad when asleep, before hearing Grace singing, following the voice he saw the Kugelblitz, as Grace prayed to it, speaking in tongues as Klaus watched in concern.

"Get away from it, Klaus!" Five shouted.

"I knew you cared, Cinco." Klaus said as Five glared.

At the hotel, Five and Lila powered up their jumps, yelling at each other as they let go, they ended up outside Commission HQ, the entire place covered by a snowstorm.

"This place is outside of Time, isn't it? How is it being affected like this?" Diego questioned before Five could say anything.

"This isn't good..." Five trailed off.

In the hotel, Luther and Diego awaited, telling Alison and Viktor that they weren't in charge, as Luther noted the Sparrows were here early. Entering the lobby, all six Sparrows stood there, as tourists snapped photos from afar.

"Well, they're here to fight and we're down three members. Great." Alison rolled her eyes.

Ben demanded Marcus as Alison demanded the briefcase, before Ben said the deal was off, telling Christopher to attack as Sloane tried to warn Luther to run. Stan ran in with a molotov, dropping it and causing a fire as a fight broke out, Diego threw Stan behind the front desk as Christopher released a psychic attack, dropping all four Umbrellas. Alison tried to summon a rumour, Ben mocking her, as Lester Pocket exited the lift and walked towards the scene.

"Well, we're getting our asses kicked, wonderful." Viktor said.

"Why is this Lester guy coming down?" Alison asked.

With a yell, golden energy poured out of him, washing over the lobby. Fei's ravens vanished, Jayme and Alphonso being blasted back by the wave as Luther slammed Sloane to the ground to save her. Alphonso and Jayme's faces rapidly decayed as they dropped to the floor, dead.

"Holy shit." Diego said, as everyone's jaws dropped.

"Alphonso...Jayme..." Ben said, stunned.

"Pull back!" Ben yelled, as Fei cried for her siblings and Christopher struggled to rise from the floor. Luther asked if Sloane was ok, seeing her unconscious, as the other three remaining Sparrows abandoned her.

"You just left her?" Luther asked, rounding on Ben, who was too stunned to speak.

"Harlan? Is that you?" Viktor asked, looking at Lester, who stared back at him as the screen cut to black.

"How can that be Harlan?!" Alison asked.

"I don't know, but I feel it is, I don't know why, but my instincts tell me it's Harlan." Viktor remarked.

"He saved our lives. I say welcome him in." Diego stated as Klaus and Five nodded their agreements. Luther looked conflicted, Reginald's lips pursed as Ben looked murderous.

Well season 4 was...something. Ngl, they didn't deserve to go out dirty like that. The season should have been longer and maybe dropped a plot or two, especially the Klaus plot which seemed to just exist to give him and Alison something to do this season. I'll miss the show, but that...yikes. Also since season 4 basically means that any changes are meaningless, do I cap this at season 3 and pretend season 4 is non-canon for this? Or season 4 reactions too?
