The scene opened on Sissy leaving Dallas with Harlan and entering New Mexico in 1963. The screen kept cutting between times and places as Sissy and Harlan were forced to move when his powers came to the front, beating up bullies or exploding rabbits. On October 1st, 1989, Sissy died from cancer, Harlan destroying the hospital room and killing a nurse and guard in his grief as he did.
"Sissy..." Viktor breathed, seeing his alternate future flame suffer throughout her life before dying.
"Harlan just killed them both." Alison gasped.
"It was an accident!" Viktor argued.
Klaus walked in, asking what happened and who creepy grandpa was, as Diego said it was Harlan, Alison and Klaus making noises of recognition as he did. Luther was over with Sloane, who awoke, helping her up, she saw the bodies of her brother and sister she ran up the stairs, Luther and Diego following her. Viktor sent Alison with them as she went to help Harlan. Klaus merely went over to study the two bodies.
"We need to make sure she doesn't get away to them." Alison said.
"She just lost her siblings! She's scared!" Luther protested.
"She's right, we need to get her to calm at least before she leaves." Five told Luther.
Five and Lila explored the ruins of the Commission, noting the Grandfather Paradox must have hit it too, Five went to check out the Infinite Switchboard as Lila headed off to check Herb's office, remarking if anyone survived it'd be him.
"If it can hit them even out there, then nowhere is safe." Five murmured.
At the hotel, Sloane tried to hide as Luther followed, before she sneaked behind him at the spa, raising him into the air, she asked if it was an act, he promised it wasn't as Diego put a knife to her throat, telling her to drop Luther. As she did, Luther told Diego to let her go and he'd bury Diego if he hurt Sloane. Alison asked if he'd bury her as well as she entered the room. Alison then said Sloane would talk as Luther promised Sloane it'd be alright.
"Not a smart move to threaten one of us." Diego growled.
"Why are you defending her, Luther?" Viktor asked.
"She's scared and just seen two siblings die! She thinks I set it up, of course she did that!" Luther argued. "I just want her to get safely out of there."
In a small park inside the hotels grounds, Viktor caught up to Harlan, explaining it had only been three days for him and asking how Harlan found him. Harlan explained ever since the lake he could feel vibrations in his head, louder if he was near someone with powers, it allowed him to find them, but he wasn't made for this kind of power, it did nothing but hurt him.
"You have to get it out of him, Viktor." Alison said.
"I will do. In our timeline, I'll make sure to never give him them anyway." Viktor agreed.
In the spa, Alison rumoured Sloane to tell her where the briefcase was, as Luther objected, Sloane attempted to resist before Alison demanded she speak, using her powers without the trigger phrase, Sloane broke and admitted she didn't know. Luther took Sloane out of the room with Diego, as Alison smashed a mirror and tried to rumour herself to be happy, before picking up some of the glass and hacking some of her hair off with it.
"She's doing well to resist your powers with no exposure to them before." Pogo remarked.
"Interesting." Reginald said, seeing Alison able to use the rumour without the trigger.
"How did I just do that?" Alison asked as the Umbrella's looked confused. Was Alison more powerful than she thought? Were the rest of them?
"Alison..." Viktor and Luther both trailed off, seeing Alison try rumour herself.
"I'm fine." Alison waved off their concerns, doubt gnawing at her insides. What if she had to go through all this? What if she lost Claire? She couldn't do that.
Meeting up with Viktor and Harlan, Alison assured Viktor she was never better, before asking what the next move was. Viktor said they had to deal with Harlan right now, as Alison protested, before stalking away, glaring.
"I'm sorry, Alison, you know I've got too..." Viktor said as Alison shook her head.
"It's fine, I get it Viktor." Alison smiled at him.
At the Sparrow Academy, Ben and Fei fought as Christopher switched sides in the debate, Reginald asked where the others were as he was told they were gone, he said they'd go look for them until Ben said they died. It was just those three left now. Fei said Ben was a failure as a Number One as Ben slapped her glasses off of her. Reginald then pulled Ben aside and told him there may be a way to get back at the Umbrellas and their supposed new secret weapon.
"I'm sorry." Luther said as Ben continued to angrily stare at them all.
"I don't want your apologies, I want revenge. I want that old man." Ben spat.
"You can't have him" Viktor spoke up immediately.
"Watch me." Ben snarled.
"What's your plan, Dad?" Klaus asked Reginald who eyed him.
"I have no idea what my alternate self is planning, Number Four."
At the hotel, Diego made Stan clean the debris from the Molotov, as Stan blamed Harlan. Diego told him to clean every room Chet needed, pairing him with Klaus as he went to babysit Luther, both cussing him as he left.
Back at the Commission, Five checked the Infinite Switchboard, seeing a recorded message from Herb, a rip in space and time was swallowing everything, taking everyone and everything at the Commission with it, as Herb vanished with a scream. Lila brought out the master handbook on paradoxes, which stated if a Grandfather paradox occurred, to hide the founder in the operational bunker. Both wondered who it was and where it was, heading off to find it, Lila jinxed Five then complained when he spoke.
"Herb..." Five said. He didn't know the little guy, but he seemed like a good man, and a much better Commission leader than The Handler or AJ ever were.
"The Founder?" Diego asked.
"I've no idea, I didn't know every Commission secret. I guess it's a mystery that Lila and I will end up having to solve."
Sloane and Luther spoke as he tended to her injured shoulder, asking if it was all a ploy and he'd used her, Luther said they didn't know about Harlan, and that she was the one attacking them. He told her how he'd never betray her, as that wasn't who he was, and that he wanted her to trust him and for him to trust her, so they could be better than their families.
Klaus and Stan talked, Stan helping Klaus diagnose himself, as Klaus self-realised and Stan stole everything he could from the room, before Klaus sat up, telling him to put it all back, questioning why he wasn't being the fun uncle before telling Stan he could keep the panties he swiped.
"Well at least you're trying, Luther." Klaus smiled.
"Thanks, Klaus." Luther smiled back.
"At least your sprog is good for something." Luther told Diego who shook his head.
"Of course he is, he's mine."
Sloane told Luther she needed to get home, Luther said he couldn't let her leave as she was a hostage, both reflected it'd probably end with everyone on both sides dead, before Sloane mentioned there could be a way to end all the fighting and be together.
"What are you two thinking?" Viktor asked as Luther shrugged.
"I've no idea."
Harlan and Viktor spoke in Harlan's room, Harlan asking if they should address Viktor by that name now and saying it was alright to ask about Sissy. Viktor asked if Sissy hated them over Harlan, Harlan said it wasn't an easy life, not with him there, but Sissy said that Viktor saved her and she was free in a way she wasn't on the farm. He asked why Viktor left, Viktor said they'd agreed it was safer for Harlan with him gone, but he wished he had stayed. The two held hands before Luther entered, saying there was a meeting downstairs, glancing at Harlan he said it was family only.
"I'm sorry, Viktor." Alison told her brother who smiled sadly at them.
"Don't be, like I said, we're gonna force Five to bring them both here, give them a better life, so it'll be alright." Viktor smiled back at her as Five shook his head. That wasn't happening.
Stan and Klaus carted through the halls before coming across a special suite, Stan said it wasn't on the list so he wasn't cleaning it as Klaus told him to keep watch and started to pick the lock.
Unnoticed by the rest of the room, Reginald's eyes widened a fraction for a moment.
At the meeting, Luther and Sloane offered a plan for her to work on her siblings for peace, letting her go with Jayme and Alphonso's bodies. The Umbrellas shot it down, saying that Harlan was on their side, as Viktor spoke of agreeing to it. Alison told Luther to do what he wanted as she had bigger things on her mind, heading off with Diego in tow as Luther called after her.
At the Commission, Five complained to Lila about no measures for a bunker before elsewhere, with her saying how he needed an apocalypse. Five said he wanted retirement, as Lila said he wasn't the everyday life type. Five replied she wasn't either, after a moment, she laughed and said of course she wasn't, before Five pointed out that they'd found the bunker.
"You do need an apocalypse, Five." Diego said.
"I do not! I've just had one for forty years! I just want peace!" Five protested. "I just want to be a hermit with my family."
"Aww, Fivey!" Klaus squealed as Five hit him again.
In a car, Diego and Alison were on a drive, Diego asked how she was doing, being all naughty for once, Alison said how Dallas changed her, how the others don't truly see what it was like for her as a woman of colour down there, Diego said he was a good therapist, and a way he coped after leaving the Umbrellas was to be bargain Batman. He pointed out a racist bar, said they could go in, get a drink and crack some skulls if needed. Alison agreed she needed another drink.
"I can only imagine, Miss Alison." Pogo remarked. "It truly was a worse time."
"I won't ever experience it this time, except maybe to try find Ray, but thank you, Pogo." Alison said. "Nobody deserved what people of my skin colour had back then, even now it isn't perfect, but that..."
"Don't encourage her to get potentially hurt!" Luther protested as Diego laughed.
"Oh don't worry, they're the ones who risk being hurt here. I've smashed the place up solo a few times before."
In a car park, Luther, Sloane and Viktor watched as the Sparrows arrived in an SUV, getting out, Sloane went over the Sparrows, as the Umbrellas said it was over. Ben said it wasn't, they wanted the old man as well. If he wasn't with the Umbrellas, they had no reason not to hand him to the Sparrows for judgement. If they wouldn't, the fighting would resume, as they left Viktor and Luther alone.
"We're not giving you Harlan." Viktor said as Ben bristled.
"Yes, you are. I'll find him, no matter what. He killed two of ours, he dies."
In the Commission, Lila pushed past Five towards the bunker, trying and failing to enter, Five found himself farting before trying himself, being granted access. Inside, a sterile room with two seats, some drinks and an iron lung with an old man inside, wearing only a loin cloth. Lila checked it out as Five scratched his neck, looking around, he came over and saw the Founder of the Commission.
"Wow, this place looks like a nice man cave." Klaus joked.
"Five, do you know who that guy in the lung is?" Luther asked.
"No, it can't be." Five breathed.
"It's me."
"You created the Commission?!" Everyone cried out as Five ran through the possibilities in his mind, drowning out the others.
"I guess in an alternate future, I must do." Five eventually said, not elaborating further.
Lila began laughing, saying how she thought Five a maverick, but he was a company man to the bone, even founding the very thing he professed to hate. Five mentioned how he didn't have paradox psychosis inside the bunker, as Old Five began to laugh, saying he never was too bright. If he was there, it was because they had a Kugelblitz. Five asked how to stop it, Old Five laughed again and said you couldn't. All that would be left was Oblivion. Lila asked about it as the iron lung opened, showing Old Five missing a hand with a tattoo on his chest. Five yelled how he had spent 20 days preventing apocalypses, asking how he stopped this one. Old Five choked out that whatever Five did, do NOT save the world. Then he died. Five chased Lila from the room to have a moment, finally noticing the tattoo, pulling out a knife, he sliced the skin from his dead future self.
"I am not a company man!" Five protested.
"Evidence suggests otherwise." Klaus sang as Five looked mutinous.
"Wait, what does he mean you can't stop it?" Luther asked.
"It means we're boned." Diego groaned. "Great."
"How'd you lose the hand and get the sweet ink?" Klaus pondered.
"How should I know? I don't have either right now." Five said. "I don't plan to have either happen, either. Wait, what did I mean, DON'T save the world?"
"Just what it means, let the end come." Klaus said, closing his eyes. "Isn't like we aren't gonna mess it up somehow anyway, may as well let it happen."
"You're defiling him!" Alison protested.
"Myself, I need it." Five simply stated.
In the Hotel, Klaus got into the room with Stan, Stan rushed off to play games as Klaus noticed the giant mounted bull head, like a painting in Reginald's Sparrow Academy office. Stan messed around with the decor, picking up a harpoon, as Klaus said they had to go, before Stan accidentally fired it, ripping through Klaus, who dropped dead to the floor.
"You really shouldn't let him play with weapons, Klaus." Diego said, before the harpoon went off on screen.
"KLAUS!" Everyone screamed as they saw him drop to the floor.
"Hey, hey, don't worry, this won't happen, besides, if it does, don't blame Stan, it's an accident." Klaus said, blinking at the sight of his own corpse. Maybe this would be a way to get back to his Dave?
"He killed you though." Luther said, like it should be obvious they'd hate Stan now.
"Hey, no blaming, shush." Klaus said, flashing Diego a smile and a wink as he caught his eye.
'What am I going to do? He killed my brother, the others will be after his blood. How do I protect him?' Diego wondered.
Harlan came looking for Viktor, finding the newspaper clippings of the dead parents, he grabbed them and stumbled from the room, in pain. Asking Viktor why he was looking at them, Viktor asked if Harlan knew them, as Harlan grabbed Viktor, setting off both their powers and showing what happened after Sissy died. It showed Viktor connecting with the Umbrellas as they were being conceived, them and others like them, and his powers overloading their mothers, killing them.
"Why does Harlan have clippings of this? Was he trying to find us and found out about this?" Viktor asked.
"I don't know, it's definitely weird." Alison said.
The Umbrella's looked on in shock as it showed Harlan connecting to their mothers and then blood streaming from their eyes as they all went into shock and dropped dead.
"It was you? You killed our mothers? You caused all this?" Viktor asked, looking shocked as Harlan looked angry, as the scene turned to black.
"What? How?" Viktor asked, feeling sick as he stared at the screen in shock.
"He did it...He killed them, killed us, caused all of this..." Five muttered. "Well then, we need to go-"
"Kill him." Alison spoke up. "He killed me, that killed Claire. He has to die."
"No, it wasn't him, it was an accident!" Viktor cried.
"Well who was it then? Because it certainly looked like he killed our mothers." Alison hissed at him.
"If you have to blame someone, blame me. I gave him the powers and the connection to us all, it's on me." Viktor said.
"That was an accident though and you tried to get them out of him! This is-"
"An accident, Miss Alison." Pogo spoke up. "This man clearly did not mean to do this, and I'd wager he's sorry about it."
Alison glared at Pogo for a moment, before seeming to sink as the anger left her body.
"Why?" Alison asked. "Why did I have to lose everything once again?"
