Chapter 69: Two Things We Need to Find
In the Royal Castle...
"I'm sure you can guess why I summoned you here today." Julius addressed Yami, Asta, Nero, Noelle and Finral. "I wanted to ask you some questions regarding the incident with the Devil Believers."
"Ask us anything." Yami pushed Asta forward.
"Then, let's get started." Julius voiced. "Could you tell me what you talked about that day with one of the leaders of the Devil Believers, Dazu Tayak? The difference in mana..." he mused. "Those blessed with abundant mana and those who aren't. There's no doubt that the gap between those two are caused this incident. Discrimination is something we must get rid of at any cost."
"It won't be easy." Rhiannon spoke up. "Do you remember, Scere? Lemiel had a design of a magic tool that could store and redistribute mana in the works. It's a pity he died before it could become reality."
"Pardon me." Marx interrupted. "Julius-sama, we just received a message from Queen Lolopechka of the Heart Kingdom."
"You may have gathered why I'm contacting you today." Lolopechka addressed the group once communication was established. As I mentioned to you previously, we were prepared for you to train with our elite guard, the Spirit Guardians, and those preparations are now complete."
"Are you okay, Lolopechka?" Undine asked in panic when Lolopechka collapsed.
"Finral." Yami barked.
"We'll take care of the paperwork." Julius assured. "We're counting on you. Asta, sorry. But do you mind if she stays behind?"
"I'm fine with that." Nero replied and fluttered off Asta's head.
After arriving to the Heart Kingdom via Finral's portal...
"Welcome, everyone." Lolopechka greeted her guests. "By the way, what brings you here today?"
"Well, it doesn't look like your curse is acting up." Rhiannon mused.
"For goodness sake, Lolopechka." Undine chided, the clumsy Queen falling over her feet.
"You had a stomachache because the things you ate for lunch didn't agree with each other?" Asta echoed in disbelief after Lolopechka revealed the reason she had Lolopechka had collapsed was due to stomach pains.
"I told her not to eat hard bacon and red spinach together." Undine sighed.
"Now, let us get back to the topic at hand." Lolopechka declared. "The reason the preparations for your training took so long is so that the Spirit Guardians could meet you in top form. But there is a limit of how many the Spirit Guardians can train. Since they're both at Arcane Stage, we need Asta and Nero to participate."
"Then, Julius and Yami..." Rhiannon trailed.
"I'm certain those two don't need our training." Gadjah reasoned.
"It appears that your Captain has already figured out how to go to an even higher plane." Lolopechka noted.
