"Ranger but how.., I-I thought he was…" Rocket Senior heard Rocket saying.
It was the next morning or later the next day and Rocket after dropping his and Nebula's kits off at school had came over to Poppa Marshmallow's house and stunned seeibg a big fir his age kit wearing a football helmet crawling realising it was Ranger seeing Rocket Senior chuckle at his reaction seeing Ranger smell Rocket making him smile at him only he had questions or his dad had explainibg to do listening as Ranger was playing with old baby toys Rocket had brought which Poppa Marshmallow had requested him bribg smirjihg at the helmet.
"I can'tbelieve Aubt Ellie dif tgat to Ranger. First she threw me out of her tree den which was how we met but she sokd her own kit to the circus. At least he's safe with you guys and wearing that helmet, he's ready for football season." Rocket said feeling Ranger hold his paw which was cute seeing him looking at him curious.
"It's okay buddy, Rocket's ohana, family so you can trust him. He's helping us make the house safer for you so you don't get owies a lot." Rocket Senior told Ranger through paw talk noticing Rocket watching and Ranger nodding then smiling at him.. He noticed Rocket Senior was tired seeing Herbert sighing explaining that when Logan was at Xavier's, he and Rocket Senior took care of Ranger especially Rocket Senior making Rocket thinking scratching his furrychin in thought.
"Maybe I can helo oht, ifpoppa Marshmalliw's tired from taking care of my bro." hetold him.
"Good thinking but don't you have yohr own kits to worry about." Herbert told him. Ranger was curious about what was going on but Rocket saw Herbert explain using paw talk seeing him excited about Rocket hanging out with them more seeing Rocket Senior there knowing they could Ranger proof the house when saidkit was taking his nap making Herbert agreeing alomgwith Rocket Logan was okay with this when he got home later playing with Ranger which the kit was loving.
"We're doing good guys with the Rangerproofing and he's still sleeping. You and Herbie must've worn himout pretty good." Rocket Senior told Herbert and Rocket making them noddibg as it was later that afternoon and while Ranger was havibg his nap, they were baby proofing the house to keep Ranger safe knowing the infant-kit would understand seeing Loganback there impressed and knew this was a good thing.
"Thanks guys as this is helping us." he said seeing Rocket nodding in reply as they were having snacks seeing Ranger begin to stir which Rocket Senior got seeing him join them but drinking juice and eating coojies making them relieved he was feeling better only was a lil sad that Rocket was going home which they got reassuring him that he'd see him again in the morning which reassured the infant kit making Herbert, Logan and Rocket Senior smile as they knew it'd been a long day for them along with Rocket knowing they'd need an early bedtime tonight making Herbert agree hoping Nebula and Rocket's kits would take it east on Rocket after coming here making Rocket Senior nod drinking tea which was relaxing him.
"Yes plus Ranger's in a calm mood after sleeping which is good. I wonder if he notices all the fun things we put up so he won't put his paws in anything dangerous." Herbert told him and Logan seeing Ranger wondering what the adults were talking about touching the helmet he wore but eating more cookies making them smirk seeing him go play for a bit noticing the toys everywhere on the doors and other things making the adults chuckle.
"Why did the grownups put up all these toys, for me." Ranger asked curiously.
