Six Months Later-Meeting room Epsilon Alpha 7-19

A large meeting room with a long conference table that stretches about 10 meters long, all the teachers and several representatives of the Drill abbots sit around and are silent as Headmaster Hayate Gekko enters the room as the former Lord Inquisitor sits down he begins the meeting with a at this point reflexive cough," So we are doing the half year review of our new candidates hopefully everyone is enjoying their duties and the students haven't been too hard on you. A special thank you to the New instructors I asked to come in and teach. I heard nothing but good things so far from the students and the more regular instructors."

The brown-bearded and shaved mountain of a man in a blue set of robes with a wolf pelt on his shoulders speaks with a smile and a content tone, "Aye the children have been great at least in my classes, respectful and willing to listen and I tend to ramble, so Sgt. Adicos has been great about chiding me to keep me on task. I had forgotten the joy of teaching since I haven't done it since my time serving in the Iron Priests."

The smaller Marine in yellow robes next to him smiled genially, "Indeed this old coot likes to ramble I had to stop him from going into detail about an awkward encounter he had with some Hospitaliers after a battle with the Great Enemy. Didn't want to scar the minds of the youths just yet. I may not be as straight-laced as most of my Chapter but even I worried about what that story could inform the students, ruining the image of the Sisters even to some of the Sister students. "

Arjack interjected with a chuckle, "Well it's not my fault that when I was a younger marine, I had exquisite abs you could grind Cheese on. Nowadays I have this mead belly from all the good food and the drink the chapter is shipping in. Neither of you seems to be complaining too much about Sergeants. I think drinking for you two has been certainly interesting, wait till I tell the Great Wolf about the Drunk Imperial Fist who tried to build a wall with snow. And somehow succeeded in building a stable and strong Ice wall!"

Hayate signals a stop to the story, "Well as much as I want to hear the rest of that story we should get back on topic, So for the three of you with your joint and solo classes who seems to be the standout students to any of you, and what do you recommend doing to put them in the best position to harness their potential. Also, who is your lowest performer and how can we put them in a position to succeed."

Arjack starts, "Well in my Combat classes Cadet Uzumaki, Scarlet's Plural, and Cadet Leontus followed closely by the large Cadet Strauss are the highest performing students as of now I recommend an outing by year-end to a nearby conflict zone to test the mettle and get them some real-world experience in a controlled environment. It also might help with the personality issues Cadet Leontus seems to have; his superiority complex will get him killed. In my Mechanical-based classes, it's by far the Female Cadet Uzumaki. She is a prodigy who seems to just absorb information. I recommend the Mechanicus allows her to spread her wings as such. She has taken both my more traditional crafting methods along with the more "modern" methods used by my Mechanicus contemporaries. On the low end is the other Cadet Uzumaki. She isn't the best in melee combat, I recommend she spend an extra semester with me or Sgt. Adicos to work on those skills I would hate to waste her potential with her dying to a Gretchin with a rusty spoon. "

Sgt Adicos speaks up next, "Same with me in all honesty, in my Tactics class other than Leontus I have the same standouts. The three are doing very well with my emphasis on Defensive tactics and Arjack's knowledge of more offensive tactics we are covering our bases. Id agrees with the recommendation of an outing. As well maybe a mock battle with the top three performers fighting each other might be an interesting challenge. Put them in a position of command in a simulated environment and incentivize the students to push harder. My lowest performer is that pompous Cadet Leontus, it's my father this and my mother that. He thinks tactics are below him because he can "send in the peons to do their jobs" He most likely will die in a friendly fire incident before he dies in combat. Hopefully, the outing will help wean him off of his high opinion"

The third more grave and cold voice speaks up after Adicos finishes, "My top performer as of today's Marksmen test is the Cadet Mei Uzumaki and Cadet Lisanna Strauss they performed with perfect scores, and in a close second was Cadet Naruto Uzumaki. I would like to take the three of them along with some of the Veteran Stormtrooper Snipers to teach them the skills outside of the shooting they might need. I haven't practiced my camouflage skills since I was a Scout as much. I also recommend the School invest in some smaller-scale Bolt Rifles or the Hellgun variants as the ones in stock as not up to the task of the skills I wish to impart. The lowest performing student I have is Cadet Scarlet as she is a meathead much like Champion Rockfist, so she tends to skew more toward Melee and close-range fighting. She will be brought up to snuff before the year's end. "

After the space Marines finished saying their piece series of conversations about how to work out their recommendations and who to contact to make them work is worked through. Sgt. Galeo of the Ultramarines in his cold tone was very helpful in this conversation using his Administrative skills to navigate a Bureaucratic minefield to find a path to force their plan through the local government and the local Guard Command. Then the Drill abbots told their stories and recommendations which amounted to not much, other than that some of the higher placing students weren't going to be the most pious of members of the Imperium. But they were going to do their best.

Hayate took charge again and in the most appeasing voice he could muster, "That's alright do your best the Emperor Protects. Anyway, so to my favorite two Commissars, how are your classes going?"

1 Month Later – Combat Tactics Class- Classroom Alpha Primus

Naruto is sitting in the massive auditorium that this class is set up in, in the middle a several-meter-wide Hologram table is set up. On it is an image of the Battle of Vahldon IX, it happening before him. The Crystal Plains of the planet are covered in hordes of Tyranid Bio from the centerline being defended by the Kingsguard of the Space Wolves. There was even a little image of a younger Arjack Rockfist in his Terminator Plate, a wall of Tyranid's being built body by body his troops now using it as a defensive position.

He says with a jovial tone, "This battle is one of the few defensive actions I have had to command in my time it's not a tactic I and my brothers are built for. But we do it when we have to. You have to be able to adapt to the changing conditions of the battlefield. The goal of this battle was to hold the Capital of this world as it was a critical lynchpin in the overall fight for the sector. The Tyranids were focused on throwing themselves against this wall whilst we were assembling a Battlefleet a system over which a week later would arrive and wipe this splinter of Behemoth out saving about twenty worlds sitting behind it. Sometimes you will have to fight losing battles for the overall good of a war effort."

The Ultramarine standing next to him states in his usual cold tone, " Indeed, and in all honesty it is one of those situations where you get the chance to test your mettle the most since morale is usually at its lowest in these battles. It is also when you learn the most about the foe and how they operate. Each of you will command each side and over the next few hours will Gamify this battle and see what you can learn and win."

Over the next few hours, the Cadets would fight fictional versions of this battle, using the forces that the real commanders had access to. It is during one of these that Naruto is fighting against his newfound school-time rival Leontus who was commanding the Tyranid forces along with its attached Genestealer operatives. Naruto was commanding the Space Wolves, Imperial Guard, and Knights who fought the battle. The battle was going back and forth as Naruto lost entire Regiments of Guard to the Hordes of Leontus's troops. Naruto yells with triumph, " Found 'em, Deep Strike at point 7-2. "

As he said that a Platoon of Terminator Plate-wearing Marines deploy to a seemingly boring part of the map and then suddenly the fog of war falls away and before the Marines is a trio of Tyranid Bio Forms with A Malantrope and a pair of Hive Tyrants. Two more teleport homers deploy and another two Squads of Terminators appear with heavy weapons. The first one is the Kingsguard led by Arjack himself and the others all carrying double heavy weapons. And then swooping down is a pair of Thunderhawk Gunships. The Synapse creatures are swiftly killed and the hordes of Tyranids begin to enter berserker animalistic rages and killed. The Hologram changes and says Battle Over.

Arjack walks over and a little too hard hits Naruto on the back and says, "And that my boy is a battle well won, and good job to you as well Cadet Leontus. So, Naruto give me the play-by-play by which you manipulated this ending for those in the back who weren't paying attention."

Naruto responds after his breathing came back from the impact of the 8-and-a-half-foot mountain pounding his back, "Well I put out feelers for much of the match I would push forward troops to see where the focus of my opponent wanted me to avoid. On three separate occasions, I sent troops pushing toward that Treeline, and I was repulsed by larger-than-usual creatures. Along with that, I used the Scouts of both the Marines and Guard to sneak behind lines and one Scout managed to get eyes on and deploy the initial homer. Then it went as you saw sir."

Arjack nods and then looks at Leontus, " And you what did you learn from this battle and how can you improve going forward?"

He grumbles and reluctantly says, "I kept my command element static and should have been moving it around and he wouldn't have found it. I also didn't swarm the forests and surroundings with scout creatures, and he found it using stealth."

Arjack," Indeed a good lesson indeed so for all of you, I should show you the rest of the battle. I only showed you the first half of it so all come forward."

The Hologram returns to the moment it left off, Arjack standing atop the mountain of bodies and his fellow marines, and slowly they began falling back and dying one by one until it was Arjack holding it alone. The single massive marine held the gate for as time went on four hours by himself. And then just as the little hologram took another major injury to his ribs by a lucky stab from a Carnifex something changed. The hologram showed hundreds of new images, drop pods screaming through the sky. All were painted a deep Crimson and out came red-painted Marines. They had a red teardrop on their shoulders and at their head was a Golden armored man with a jetpack. They swept up behind the horde killing the Synapse Creatures hiding in the back. And the Hologram fades out.

Arjack says with a sigh, "Some battles always seem to be the darkest before the dawn. All my brothers were either dead, holding the wall, or otherwise busy and so I held that gate for almost 5 hours by myself. I barely remember doing it as I entered a Trance. But if they had not arrived when they did, I would have fallen there. So, take this to heart even should everything be at their worst do your best to do what you can. And take the good from what you can, three hundred years later those events are a faint memory, but it is a good story to tell my brothers about what we can do in the tightest situations and hopefully, when I am long gone, they will sing songs about it. Contemplate these events for yourself, class is dismissed."

Classroom 61-715 Alpha – Naruto Clone "Billy"

Naruto's clone enters his first class of the day, this clone was Henged permanently to look like his friend Shikamaru. He sat down in the first row of the classroom as the teachers of the day entered. Rogue Trader Ruggardsson and a Tech-Priest enter the room. They stand at the front of a room and on the digital screens can be seen putting up hundreds of files in tabs ready to show. As many students enter the class it fills up. The Administrative path was the second largest the school offered right under the Imperial Guard Officer path.

Finally, all the students arrived, and they settled down. Ruggardsson began by saying loudly, "Welcome to your first day of Ethical Interpretation of the Law. You may be surprised that I am teaching this class. Well, the reason is around a hundred years ago I was the Master of the Administration on Terra. Without getting into the things your young ears shouldn't hear I lost the political games that are played there, and I was exiled into the Rogue Trading career. Yes, this is a way those on Terra get rid of Political opponents. Honestly, it's the nicest option for me since I still live. So, I know many of the laws of the Imperium as I approved a decent number of them. The first lesson in understanding the Legal system we find ourselves attached to is to ignore ninety percent of it and do your job and you should be fine. Our law system is based on the ancient Terran jurisprudence of decision and case law. Where when deciding on a case you have to reference every other case previously presided over which after almost 10 thousand years is on a good day a complicated mess. But in all honesty in your day-to-day ignore all of it. The Emperor laid down his law code at the outset of the Great Crusade and those are what will dictate your actions, not anything else. That opinion is what got me in trouble, but it is effective. The Dictatum Imperialis is the end of all of the laws we should operate. That is also how I got through the Administratum so quickly as I did since I could do my job. "

He continued after drinking some water, "Follow these, and as long as you cite correctly no one can "technically" get mad at you and if you stay low to middle level you should be fine. Over the next six hours, we will dissect the entire book and you will learn it front to back. These can and will save your and other lives should you abide by the laws here. "

Naruto POV- Headmasters office

He was walking down the hall and after ten minutes he ended up at the antechamber before he could enter the Headmasters office. He says to the young beautiful woman with silver hair, "Headmaster Gekko asked for me to come. Is he available?"

The woman looked up from polishing the Bolter he now noticed was below the desk, She responded, "Yes he should he canceled all his meetings for the rest of the afternoon. Have a good time and don't worry about time sweetie. "

Naruto walks in and the door closes itself behind him and he hears additional locks slide into place and an air hiss as seemingly the room pressurizes. As he turns around to look back around a woman teleports into his personal space and envelopes him in a bear hug he hadn't felt in a long time. He says surprised as the woman was the spitting image of the secretary outside, "Auntie Yugao did you get a make-over?"

The woman looks up and seeing the reflection in his big blue eyes laughs, "Oh I forgot one moment. "As she says that she hits a button on her wrist pad and her skin relaxes and her hair color changes.

Now looking like her original look, "Sorry forgot to turn off the disguise just got back from being a sister of battle for a few years. It's so good to see you, honey, I was ecstatic when Hubby messaged me and told me you finally arrived. "

Naruto with a surprised look on his face, "Disguise that didn't seem to be a Henge how did that work, actually what have you been up to? I was a little concerned I hadn't seen you this whole time."

She looks over at Hayate and he nods, "Well …... I am an Imperial Assassin. The disguise I use is more technology-based instead of a Henge since you're one of the only ones whose Henge is physical and to infiltrate at the level, I have to get away with the Henge wouldn't work."

Naruto after a moment seems like he remembers something," Ah yeah I remember hearing about those, they go around infiltrating different organizations taking out crazy or heretical elements. My former in-universe father thought he was on the list to be killed since he was a more than normally corrupt Imperial Governor. "

She looks surprised, and then Hayate says, "He got reincarnated and mixed with a young boy that was the son of a Corrupt Imperial Governor and absorbed the memories of him. Little different than how we got here but it came with a massive pile of currency that we are putting to work. Those investments are going well, bought out two Charter Captains who are shipping for us now feeding into the fund."

Yugao, "Ah gotcha, yeah at its most basic level, there is a lot more to it but basically. I just got back from joining the Sisters to get rid of a priest that was corrupted by the Horny one who was trying to corrupt some Sisters. She didn't live that long."

Hayate waves his hand toward the chairs, "Alright we should get to the thing I called you for other than Yugao wanting to see you."

The both of them sit down and Hayate coughs, "Alright so first things first here you go." He hands a tablet embossed in gold and silver with both a camera on the front and back. The imperial eagle set into the top of it.

He continues after another cough, " This is the Elementian Tablet we have come up with, it's the current version of that tech I mentioned way back when. It combines both Seals and Tech at least to the extent that the both of us could come up with. The only software we have cobbled together is a messaging application that works across the galaxy. Me and Yugao use it to keep in touch. We have been testing it for years now. It works via two linking seals to send information and since it's chakra-based it just works better than having to use warp stuff. "

Naruto's brain starts running overdrive as the Fuiinjustu section of his brain begins churning, "So I guess there is a reason you're bringing it up now?"

Hayate clears his throat," Well, one we thought since you are better at seals and are spending time in the Mechanicus classes you could do a lot better than we can. And two we found someone else. While she was on her job with the Sisters her group stopped in the Fenris Sub- Sector and while she was at the Naval outpost there, she learned the name of the Lord Admiral in Charge of the Sub Sector. That being Lord Admiral Hiruzen Sarutobi of the Noble Family of Sarutobi. "

Naruto exclaims excitably, "Wait Gramps is here? Is he super old or is this a more recent development?"

Hayate sighs in exasperation, "He is a lot younger than he was at least physically, He just got the position in the last few years as both the former Lord Admiral and all the admirals either died or were Promoted further afield in some kind of Succession Crisis. He was the most senior Lord Captain in the Fleet left. So, he was promoted. Yugao managed to find him and give him one of the other Tablets so now we have regular contact. So now you have had some time to get used to school we wanted to bring you in, his recommendation by the way don't get mad at me."

Naruto begins tapping away at the tablet making a username and other credentials in the application they had managed to cobble together.

Kit Cadet has joined the chat

Kit Cadet- So I heard there is an Old Fart in this chat.

The Third- I don't know who you're calling an old man I am in the prime of my life nowadays.

Kit Cadet- So how is being in charge of a whole Sub-sector going, old man?

The Third- Aging me faster than being the Hokage ever did. I will probably look older than I did back in Elementia by the time I see you.

Kit Cadet- Well it is good to hear from you, did Yugao tell you what has been going on?

The Third- Some but I would like to hear what is going on with one of my favorite grandchildren from the horse's mouth as it were.

Kit Cadet- Well … got dropped into the body of a boy, absorbed his memories and I think slivers of his personality as well. Went on a fighting retreat as the world was getting taken over by Gene stealers got saved and since "I" was the son of an Imperial Governor got sent to the Schola and this is where I have been for almost a year now. Kurama says hello by the way. Oh, and the Nosey Couple has enrolled me in every path and class the school offers except the female-only ones abusing my Nature element Shadow Clones.

The Third- I see, well it is good to hear you are alright. And it is good they are taking your education seriously, something I regret not taking more seriously sooner in our original world.

The Third- Well I should give you the shortened version of mine as well. Lady Amaterasu had me reborn in the Sarutobi family which is here in its entirety. Similar to you I went to one of the prestigious academies in Midgardia where I met my wife Biwako again. We remarried quickly and had my sons again. Which while a little weird was still amazing since I got to spend their childhood with them. I enlisted in the Navy at a young age and got a direct commission through family connections. Served in various positions for 40 years and wound up as the Lord Admiral as the local command structure became a mess as many of the high-ranking ones tried to take the previous Lord Admiral's position. Many were killed in assassinations or direct conflict, and I stayed out of it all by siding with the Space Wolves Chapter of Space Marines. They Protected me and my fleet and soon everyone was either dead or had gotten out of dodge by transferring to other Sector Fleets. Been trying to rebuild ever since. Half of the ships of the Sector fleet were damaged in some way and many of the command staff across the fleet were also dead so having to rebuild the ships and the crews for them one by one. Several of the Battlegroups are also just gone since they left and took their fleets with them. So, it has been fun trying to replace them. Thankfully the Space Wolves keep a huge Mothball fleet of all the ships they either can't use or captured over the last ten thousand years. In all honesty, the quality of the fleet has gone up by a couple of factors.

Kit Cadet- Well you have had a whole ride huh, so how are Uncle Asuma and Uncle Saru doing alright?

The Third- Asuma and Saru are doing well, Asuma is a Chartist Captain in Fenris and Saru runs the Clan keeping things together. Konohamaru is around as well now, he just got signed up for the Academy that the Noble Families on Midgard fund.

Kit Cadet's- awesome to hear gramps, good to hear the family is doing great, oh you should talk to Hayate I own two Chartists ships maybe give Uncle Asuma some more to do.

The Third- I will have to ask him and see about it; it would expand our influence quite a bit.

Kit Cadet- So over the next couple of months would you be alright with working on improving this whole device thing?

Third: Sure, that's fine, let's talk about the seals involved.

Authors Note- Alright how are we doing, hope you enjoyed the chapter. How do we like the mechanic I introduced, when I write a series I like to add in a "mechanic" that would add to the changes to the universe. A way to communicate across the universe without lag and have various types of media is certainly something I haven't seen in another one. For your imagination it's just a Warhammer-esque Discord. That was the inspiration. The next chapter will involve a bunch of time skips and solving the mystery of all the weird stuff going on at the Schola. Looking forward to seeing you there.
