10. Chapter 10

Doing my best to get writing done in the summer, as it is not my best season to write. So am surprised managed to get writing done. Which I hope this keeps up too lol. Anyway, this chapter will have a lemon in it and it is well, you already know who it will be lol. So the next one or next chapter will be with Mona and having her be fully travelering with Aether on his journey next. While later down the road, I am going to introduce the other girls of Mondstat until reaching that Dansleif quest called Reunion.

Although I might have my timeline messed up is the Reunion quest before Liyue or After Liyue? Wouldn't mind help with that and make sure I have my timeline in check lol. So without further adieu, I hope you all enjoy and have fun.

Chapter 10: Rainy love with a Alchemist

It took a couple days for Aether and his group to return back to Mondstat after a treacherous battle against Dvalin the wind dragon. Alongside Venti the Archon and Bard, they successfully freed Dvalin from the Abyss orders hold and control over him. After rescuing him and getting knowledge that the Abyss orders are planning something, the team went ahead and headed back to Mondstat. Aether- however was worried and curious of where his sister might be at, or had come to a conclusion from Dvalin words of fighting him the first time.

That his sister Lumine, is with the Abyss order and somehow being forced to work with them. Not much he could do but be able to go and continued looking for her in the Mondstat region. All the while continuing to put up flyers and posters of a missing person for the girl. When they got back to Dawn's Whinery, Diluc's servants and work partners had approached and warned them about a massive army of monsters invading and attacking the City of Freedom while they were gone. This had Jean worried and began asking if everyone was alright and safe, then relaxing and resting a hand against her chest. When they informed her and Diluc that everyone is alright- minor injuries here and there, along with some destruction on certain buildings. But the Knights of Mondstat were able to fend them off and even defeat the entire army. Not allowing them to step forth into the city or even the bridge.

After getting word about it and learning the knights protected everyone from the army. The group on the next day after resting up and recovering from their injuries and regaining their stamina. They headed off once more towards Mondstat in a bit of a hurry, even if they knew the Knights had protected and saved the city from the monster attacks, Jean was still worried for everyone's safety and who might need her help to guide them through this troubled time. It wouldn't take long for them to get there and reach the bridge everyone hummed and stared at everyone starting their repairs and fixing the city. With some of them turning their attention and shouting out towards them. "Hey Grandmaster! Welcome back, hope everything went well with Wind Dragon?" One of the knights called out while hammering one of the rooftops.

This had Jean blinking her eyes and stepping forward and nodding her head, while twisting her body when a couple of children ran by, seemingly also carrying utensils and tools for everyone. "Im yeah everything was a success, um." She then turned to the Knight and asked. "How was everyone and the injured? Everyone doing alright nobody got badly hurt during the invasion?" She asked with a tilt of her head.

A female knight who was walking with another and carrying large planks of wood and two by fours were walking along the streets and stopped to answer. "Some of the knights got injured during the battle, but nothing too serious. They are currently in the medical wing getting patched up or being re-examined by Barbara and the nurses." The one in front said and then the one in the back spoke next, while tilting her head out.

"Some buildings and structures however got damaged during the fight. When abyssal mages and some archers were able to fire their spells and arrows into the city. Thus, we are doing everything we can to help out and rebuild and repair any damages."

Venti nodded and grinned wide, "that the Knights of Mondstat for ya, always ready and prepared." He then turned towards Aether. "Anyway Honorary knight, I know you probably want to help and such. But considering everyone is working hard, I think you should take a break." He said confusing Aether greatly while ready to retort and say he can help out. Ut then felt Diluc hand resting on his shoulder, having the blonde traveler look towards him.

"Don't worry, leave this to us, this is our city and we take pride in repairing it." Diluc then smiled softly and crossed his arms. "Besides, I am sure there will be some people who will want your help personally. Not only that," then nudged his head over towards Sucrose who was running down the steps and roads to go and greet them but knows or has a suspicion it will be Aether she will be greeting again along with three other girls when they get the chance.

Aether hummed and turned to see Sucrose approaching them as Jean went ahead and walked off, ready to go and help everyone out and guide them. With Venti disappearing too and heading off to help out with the work and labor, even though right now he just wants to find Dilucs bar and drink himself silly. Sucrose panted and breathed lightly as she got close to Aether and was leaning down against her knees, closing her eyes and twitching her green ears as she tried to catch her breath. "T…Traveler," she panted between breaths, then stood upright. "You're alright and safe! Thank goodness…" then blushed and squeaked and looked away shyly. "I…I got a little worried you wouldn't make it back. That…that something may have happen to you or…the worst might've happened."

Aether chuckled and smiled, "Don't worry I am fine, it was a little touch and go against Dvalin. But here I am, are you okay?" He asked and saw her lifting her head and widening her orange eyes for a brief moment and then blushing and returning looking back down, while folding her hands together and resting them against her legs. "H…oh, I…I am doing alright." She softly whispered as the two can hear the hammering and sawing within the town. Followed by the Smith shop hammering away at the anvil as the owner is working on tools for everyone to use, along with the sound of steam coming out when water is poured down on the hot tools.

"Um, sure you heard about the invasion right?" She asked and looked up to him and rested a hand against her chest smiling. "Don't you worry, everyone is alright and like the knights said. Only a few of us got injured." She then smiled. "The storm helped us greatly during the war, even though it was brief." She then hummed and placed a finger on her chin. "I think Mona said there will be more storms coming our way, so it might slow down the repairs."

Aether nodded and looked around seeing if she or Amber were nearby, but knowing Amber and how her personality is? She will be helping with the repairs and bouncing all over the place. "How are they doing? They didn't get too hurt right?" He asked and smiled as Sucrose nodding her head and clapped her hands together with a smile.

"Oh yes! They are doing perfectly well," then raised a finger. "In fact Amber help with the archers and lining up her shots with them, really helps those on the castle walls, to aim for the right places and get good shots in against the monsters." Sucrose said while looking to the castle walls, having Aether turn sideways and look up to them and then back to Sucrose. "While Mona, helped out those with catalysts and magic users. Who knows despite being an astrologist, she is also a great planning and tactical fighter when she needs to be." Sucrose laughed. "She even helped me out with my alchemist bottles and told me where to place them or use my Anemo elemental powers on them to mix and have elemental reactions with others powers."

"Man sounds like a really tough battle," Aether remarked and rested a hand on Sucrose's right shoulder, having her squeak and twitch her ears upwards and blushing. "But I am glad you and the others are alright, and didn't get badly hurt from the invasion." He said and then laughed softly when Sucrose stepped back and did her best to cover her cheeks from the blush that's forming around her face. "By the way I know Diluc and Jean told me to take it easy, and let everyone do their own thing. But…" He then scratches the back of his head and sighs. "I wouldn't mind helping with the construction and such. So..uhh," he then looked toSucrose who hummed and twitched her ears. "Is there anything I could help you with Sucrose?"

"Anything to help me with?" Sucrose repeated while thinking it over and looking down to the ground. Then adjust her glasses with one eye and look towards the right. "OH!" She sudden;y said and looked back to Aether, "well it might not be much or if you're good at it. But there are and are some alchemy ingredients I will need for my recent experiments. That my master, Albedo, had instructed me to do." She then chuckled lightly. "Although, I am doing something a bit more personal right now…but I do need to find them and wouldn't mind heading out to get them."

She then folded her hands and swaying left to right, "and well…I know you just return from probably one of the most battles of your life." She then looked at him, smiling softly. "And…well think you could help me head out and find the ingredients?" She asked and hoped Aether wouldn't mind helping her, she felt her heart racing and fluttering at the idea of spending more alone time with him. Especially after doing a commission together back then and protecting Springvail from a monster invasion. That and…she wouldn't lie to herself, having herself slightly exposed around him and showing her bra and panties through her torn clothes did riled her up at the time.

Not only that but when he came back with Mona, and the girl who was still slightly on cloud nine from doing it with him and had spoken about her experience well. Having sex with him during one of her drinking moments as she hangs out with her and Amber for a while. Had Sucrose feeling weird and kind of hot through the conversation, even more when Amber joined in the conversation and even berated Sucrose for making such an enhancer for her Pyro skills. But also thanking her and saying she should go and make more of it.

To which the ingredients she needed are actually those same ingredients that heighten one's sexual drive. Which she accidentally made at the time, let alone didn't know that would've happened. But considering how much the two enjoy it let alone, never knowing how much of a good lover Aether was- had Sucrose spending a good couple weeks recreating it and hoping to use it on herself and Aether…

But after what happened and with the invasion, the girl decided against it. After all, fighting the wind dragon may have killed off any drive or need to do anything else but rest and relax. Which is why JEan and Diluc probably wanted him to do it, instead of helping out. "I don't mind at all." Aether answered with a smile. "I don't think I will be resting or relaxing anytime soon, considering we got news about the invasion and worried about everyone's safety."

"Oh you will!" Sucrose exclaimed and smiled happily, "We don't have to go far no worries, all I need is some mint grass and some cat flowers near the lakes east from here." Though paused and thought it over. "East on the map of course." she giggled out and had Aether snickering. "And considering all the monsters we fought, there shouldn't be any or any slimes forming any time soon." then stopped and hummed. "Maybe the Dendro slimes, but they rarely attack people unless your in their territory."

"Thank goodness." The traveler said while resting a hand on his chest and saw Sucrose tilting her head and then almost giggled but blushed when he sighed and had an exasperated expression. "Trust me, Mona and Amber seemed to get into some…'activities' when it comes to slime. Or females in general, seem to get caught easily and well."

"The slimes took advantage of them and well…playing with 'them' right?" Sucrose added and saw Aether nodded and Sucrose raised a hand in understanding. "No worries, I haven't heard any reports about the Dendro slimes doing any of that. So I should be safe." she teased out then squeaked from the sudden brazen comment. "I mean." then laughed as Aether smiled and snicker with her, understanding what she meant.

"That's good, then I don't have to worry about freeing you from their tendrils." Aether teased and got her giggling and nodding her head. While winking, making mention how she can easily drop her Alchemy vials and shred the Dendro slimes with her anemo powers or other elements, making him nod and then ready to say if she wanted to head out. While Sucrose raised a hand and shook her head, then nudged her head towards Katheryn.

"No, no the least I can do is make it a commission Aether." Then clapped her hands happily and swung them forward to him. "After all, you deserve it! After what you went through and saving the wind dragon without pay. I need to at least pay you for the commission, especially a very easy one at that." She laughed and happily grabbed his hand with her delicate hands and gently pulled and tugged on him. "Comeon, don't worry I won't give too much Mora, as if I know your modesty and we are companions? You wouldn't want me to spend mora on a easy commission."

"Come on Sucrose, I can still help you without needing to be paid. So you don't need to do this." Aether told her as they squeezed and duck under some of the construction workers and knights who were carrying things. Smiling and even thanking the Honorary knight for the great help, while some were giggling and laughing at how cute Sucrose is being with the blonde traveler. Surprised how much she seems to be quite open to him or not behaving too shyly around him.

They went and reached Katheryn who waved towards them and saw Sucrose and Aether approaching as the alchemist girl turned and faced him and let go of his hand. "Please it's the least I can do either," she said and happily twitched her ears happily, raised upwards and then turned to face Katheryn. "Besides, you need payment especially what you went through everything." She then approaches the counter and says. "Hello Katheryn, I want to submit a 1 thousand mora commission." She said and Aether shaking hsi head behind her while resting both hands on his waist, as Katheryn giggled and nodded her head.

"Sure thing Miss Sucrose, what kind of Commission will this be? Ingredient searching, monster slaying or possibly escort expedition?" Katheryn asked and saw Sucrose shaking her head at the last two while then explaining how they will be gathering ingredients for her research and alchemy potions. "Alright then I have entered the payment and written down the commissions." KAtheryn then smiled and bowed to them. "I hope the two of you stay safe, even though it is peaceful now. But remember there are storms approaching Mondstat."

Aether hummed and crossed his arms, while nodding his head. "Seems like Mona was on the mark." He then laughed. "Well guess I will have to be sure to pitch my tent tighter for the day and or find a case to take shelter." This had Sucrose turning to Aether and widen her eyes, while then tilting her head asking.

"You don't have a place to stay, Aether?" She asked and saw him shaking his head and then turned to Katheryn when she then spoke up and said.

"It make sense, considering the rental of the housing of the areas are quite expensive. And someone like the traveler who is always walking about, exploring and such. Wouldn't really have much mora to spend or even rent a house." She then rested a hand on her chest. "Plus, needing to maintain his weapons conditions and needing Mora for food and ingredients to cook with. There wouldn't be much Mora left for him to even rent."

Aether then went and explained after stepping back from some more knights walking through. Blinking his eyes at one of them looking like a maid and single handedly carrying about ten large wooden beams and some pipes. Surprisingly, he steps forward close to Sucrose and faces her. "Plus, I won't be staying here that long as I still need to go and find my sister somewhere around here." He informs and then softly rubs the back of his head. "I am a little worried that she might've been kidnapped and forced to work with the Abyss order."

Sucrose nodded her head and rested a hand against her right breast as Aether explained how he wouldn't be staying long in Mondstat and would continue his journey looking for his sister. Afraid that she has been forced to work with the abyss order. "I understand…" She said softly while tilting her ears downwards, fumbling with her lower lip. She honestly didn't want him to go or does she want to be separated from him.

Ever since Aether arrived and been staying and working in Mondstat before the Dvalin incident. Sucrose has never been this active in her life, let alone spending so much time outside from working in Albedo's laboratory and house or working on her alchemy potions and tests, without needing an excuse to stay in. She felt so much…alive with him around and ever since doing that commission with him. Protecting and saving Vandale from an invasion of monsters and…well getting half naked with the slimes and monsters ripping up her clothing,normally she would've been freaking out and panicking about not being modest.

But something awakened inside of her that day and the thrill and drive of battling made her throw out modesty. Possibly because of hearing other adventurer's, saying how it's like a merit or medal that they come back with torn clothes or damaged clothing. In honor of surviving and completing a tough and challenging commission or request. Sucrose turned her head towards Katheryn and then back to Aether, as she softly looked down and began shifting her golden eyes left to right. Having Aether to hum and tilt his head wondering what is wrong. "It's nothing." she smiled, twitching her ears.

"Let's go!" She giggled and grabbed his hand gently. "Those ingredients will be useless if the rain comes and ruins them." She said and began guiding him towards the city gates and bridge. Smiling to herself and having a slight determination expression on her face. "I am sorry master Albedo but…ever since Aether has entered my life, I have been very active as of lately. Even you mentioned it and told me how glad you are to see me out and about, without being shut in or busying myself with my experiments and alchemy." Sucrose said to herself while smiling and eye smiling to Aether.

As the two of them exit the city and head out into the fields, heading north-east on the map to where a lake will be located, the same one that Aether spotted when crossing through some mountains and accessing the Statue of the Sevens. She went ahead and grabbed her catalyst just to be sure to fight off any stray monsters like slimes, or even whopper flowers. Hearing Aether doing the same and chuckling, remarking how well prepared she is,, which had her nodding and saying. "Yup, even though we don't have to worry about Hilichurls or other monsters from the abyss. Does not mean we have to worry about Slimes or Whopper flowers."

Aether grinned and then they both shifted their gaze towards the right and saw a Dendro slime poking it's head out or…it's eyes out from the ground and glaring towards them and started vibrating in place. "And since Denro slimes don't attack unless you approach them or get near their territory right?" HE said and saw her nodding as the two laughed when the slime popped back underground and began rapidly moving away.

"Yup, anyway." She then faced him and then raised her arm and pointed behind her. "You remember the lake where the Statue of the Seven was? When will you first arrive?" Which Aether nodded and saw beaming happily. "That's where the ingredients are. Let's go before the storm comes."

Few hours went by as the two of them were chatting and enjoying the peaceful trek heading towards the lake. As Sucrose listened intently and had admiration building up for the traveler as he went on and explained everything that went on against Dvalin. How he, Jean, Diluc and Venti traveled to Dawn's Winery first and encountered the Abyssal monsters coming out from the trench that leads to Devil's lair. Having to fight their way through it and expertly exposing the monsters with precision and on point teamwork.

Sucrose ears would raise up and then cutely twiddle about when she got really into the story, especially when Aether explained about the ruins and how they couldn't enter it at first because of a large barrier. "Which is why you, Amber, Lisa and KAyae went to those domains and lower not Dvalin power, but also the barrier right?" She asked as they arrived at the lake and began placing down their traveling bags and stretching out their limbs.

"Yeah, although there was supposed to be a fourth crystal. But we surmised that somebody must've been working with the Abyss and got that last crystal to power down." Aether explained and faced Sucrose, who was being down and adjusting all the vials and potions within her bag. Hearing the class clatter and shake within the bag. "You alright?" He asked softly and smiled when she waved a hand. Unintentionally wiggling her hips and ass at the traveler, having the skirt part of her dress slightly hiking up and showing her nice plump looking thick thighs.

"I am good, just adjusting my vile and alchemy potions. Especially some special ones I've been working on that require these ingredients." Sucrose explained as she stood upright and rubbed a finger against her chin, "long those potions don't break or smash, we should be fine." She said and turned towards Aether with a smile and swaying her body left to right, as her chest raised and lowered, having her c cup breasts show a bit of cleavage at the top of her dress.

"Sure, now" Aether said and then faced the lake and placed his hands onto his hips. "So, what should I look for?" He asked and looked around as Sucrose stepped close to him and faced the lake and let out a soft hum.

"If you could grab some of the grass whistles around the Statue of the seven that will be greatly appreciated." She said and then smiled and look to him. "I will look around here for cat lily flowers, and that should be all I need to finish my latest work." Sucrose said and then lightly blushed when Aether faced her and then asked with a curious gaze.

"Speaking of, what are you experimenting on and making? Since you said long they don't get stepped on or the glass breaks?" Aether asked while tilting his head and seeing the girl's ears twitching upwards and then folding behind her head she looked sideways and let out a sheepish chuckling.

"Oh um..well…" She wasn't sure how to explain it. But she knows he probably wouldn't work with her if she told the truth. After all- what she's working on is recreating that pheromone potion that she accidentally made with Lisa, to power up Amber's pyro elemental energy and that lead her and Aether to having sex with each other. "Um…it's…" she then looked down feeling her face heating up greatly as she tried to find a reasonable answer.

"It's a…vapor experimentation I am working on." She finally said and looked up at the boy. "It allows me to make vapor clouds and have them absorb elemental energy into them from things like Fire, Water and such." She said rather rapidly, unaware how fast she was speaking. Then rested a hand on her chest with a proud smile, "I believe it will come most handy in combat! If I can create a large enough vapor cloud."

"Ah," Aether suddenly spoke up and grinned. "You could easily make reactions with everyone elemental powers if they use it on the vapor clouds. Automatically causing element reactions with anything right?" He then abused and rubbed his chin. "But if the Vapor clouds does that, wouldn't it need to be an element already? Which means you would need water for the experiment right?" The blonde-haired teen asked and had Sucrose staring lightly towards him and then had her eyes rolling slightly upwards in thought while opening and closing her mouth as if to get the equation going in her head.

"Huh?" Sucrose hummed and crossed one arm under her breasts, pushing them upwards and forming more of a cleavage. "That would profit a lot for the vapor clouds. Considering clouds are some sort of gas and would need water-" she began trailing off while starting to walk about and beginning her search for the cat lily flowers leaving Aether to stand there and turn and twist his body slightly towards her as she began walking off and going through her head of the…he guess was themath like equations to her recent formula. Having Aether to lightly scratch the side of his cheek not entirely sure if he understood what she was saying. But shrugs and figured to go ahead and head out to the Statue of the seven and grab those grass whistles.

Sucrose who was in her own world, shook her head and stopped herself from rambling especially since she may have left Aether confused and dazed of what she was saying. "Sorry Aether I tend to ramble when I get into-" then hang her sentence when she turned around and faced him. Only to freeze and stood in place as she watched him taking his shirt off. Revealing his bare upper body and the small yet athletic build he has with slight muscles he has. Her eyes trailed and scan every inch of his body, gulping slightly as she felt her heart racing and speeding up. She wasn't sure what was going on or why she's behaving like this…sure she saw some couple of men and boys half naked or half dressed before, especially when swimming or removing their armor and such.

"But why…am I behaving like this now around Aether?" She said to herself and then squeaked when he also took off his pants and was left in his boxers, having her squeak and feeling her mouth gaping open. She quickly turned around and swayed with a red face and gulped again. "Focus, focus on the task at hand, Sucrose." She told herself and then slowly turned her head and peeked over her shoulders- to then quickly facing away and felt her breath picking up in speed lightly and shook her head to clear her thoughts. Especially when she heard him diving into the water with a loud splash and had him turning sideways and facing the blonde traveler and seeing him swimming over towards the Statue of the seven.

Sucrose let out a couple calming breaths and decided to get to work and look and pluck out those Cat lily flowers that surrounded the lake. As she went ahead and found a couple of them nearby, the girl went ahead and skipped her way over to them and stood next to them. "Let's see they should be full grown." She hummed and then bent down completely in order to get a good look of them and had her dress hike even higher than before as she started examining the flowers.

Aether who after reaching the small island where the Statue of the Seven is. Climbed out from the water and rolled onto his rear and facing outwards from the statue's direction. Taking the moment to rest up and regain some stamina from swimming. When he heard Sucrose letting out happy cheers and squeals had him turning his head over in her direction. His eyes widening and felt his face blushing at the sight of the girl, completely bending down to look closer at the flowers with her ass high into the air, with her dress beginning to slide down her back. Revealin and exposing her tone and plump thick thighs more. Followed by her slightly impressive bouncing asscheeks, that were slowly forming a tiny heart=shape with them. But what has him blushing is that the red and white thong she was wearing!

He said to himself and started getting up and dusting off the sand from his boxers.

He then hummed when he heard Sucrose letting out another squeal of delight and had him turning towards her and smiled when he saw her now crawling on all fours, when she was now in a different spot and part of the lake and looking over at more Cat lily flowers- though he blushed and chuckled softly as of course the pose she was in. Is also giving him a good view of her torso and cleavage, granted- it was hard to get a good look because of distance which he was glad he couldn't make any details of the girls cleavage and such. But it did not stop the imagination from going rampant, he quickly shook his head and focused on the task at hand and began crouching down and looking for the grass whistles Sucrose needed for her alchemy experiment.

Sucrose, who plucked the two flowers and placed them into her small bag, shuffled slightly in her sitting position and lifted her head up and facing towards Aether. Watching the boy crouching down and duck walking on the grassy area near the statue for the grass whistle. Sucrose blushes and smiles fondly as she watches the traveler working. Her eyes detailing out every fiber of his muscles that moved and shifted as he looked for the grass whistles. HAving her trail her eyes over and downward towards his legs and waist area. Biting her lower lip and even blushing at the sight of his slight bulging pants- making her wonder what got him turned on? Though that is when her face got redder and looked over her shoulder and facing the flowers that were still around the lake area.

"Was he…checking me out?" Sucrose hummed to herself and recalled how she was bending down earlier to examine the flowers and seeing if they were full bloomed. This had her go even redder and feeling steam coming out from her ears as they also twitched at the thought of Aether getting a good view of her ass and possibly. "Sucrose this is what you want isn't it? The whole reason you're out here with Aether is…is to have him use the alchemy potion and you yourself as well…to…too…" She shivered and shook her head rapidly while grabbing her glasses that almost fell off her face and let out a soft sigh. ""Get a hold of yourself, Sucrose!
