-NewGuest123: Thanks, man! I too enjoyed the cartoon as a kid, though it's been so long since I watched it that I don't remember much of it, I need to do a rewatch of it. Same thing for teen titans, had fun watching it and have fun memories, but don't remember much of it besides some parts.
-Essentially, that is what I was going for in the idea. While the role I have planned for her is primarily as an advisor and she will allow him to select the alien he wants most of the time, she can override his choices if she so choices. I'm honestly surprised I haven't found any story like that, which is what prompted the idea.
-That sounds like a really good idea! For Super-Earth! For the Federation!
-AdmiralDan09: Thank you very much! Ben having a companion in the form of an AI in the watch will be funny. She'll be essentially be the reason why the omnitrix transforms Ben into the wrong alien, since she's a troll and finds it funny which will cause Ben no small amounts of anguish, but will turn him into want he wants when in a fight or select the alien she thinks is better for dealing with their problem. And if he's using her irresponsible, he'll just lock her out.
-Alright, if I get the chance, I give it a shot.
-Austin: Yeah, that is what inspired the idea and snippet tbh.
-The idea I have is that while Ben can choose what aliens he wants, she's ultimately in control of what he turns into. Like I said, the mis-transformations are going to be explained as her doing since she knows it will be better or just being a troll.
-I admittedly having really thought about it like that when writing it. Though it would make for some interesting scenes for sure. Like after Kevin absorbs it, the main character is too traumatized or catatonic to respond to Ben's inputs so the team has to snap her out of it. The ideas are still cooking in my head. Though, there will be funny moments with the way he slams harm on the dial to transform.
Omnitrix: "That's it! Next time you hit my face like that, I'm locking you out of your transformations for a whole week!"
Ben: "But that's not fair!"
Omnitrix: "Not fair! Not fair! What's not fair is you hitting my face like that even though all you need to do is turn the dial to the one you want!"
-Again, all those ideas sound amazing dude. Though I don't know some of the IPs you put down like the powerpuff girls and dragon ball z. Good job!
-Guest0508: Thanks! Ben 10 was a good show and I personally enjoyed all of them all the way to omniverse, though the reboot absolutely sucks. There's no defending that piece of trash.
-Like I said, she's ultimately in control of the omnitrix so she can override the alien he chooses into one more suitable for the situation that they are in and provide tactical assessments and strategies for fights. While she's mostly passive, she'll assume direct control if she feels it's necessary which will annoy Ben (nobody likes having their body controlled). And if she feels she's being too irresponsible, she'll just lock him out of it until he learns his lesson.
-While at times she will be mischievous and a bit of a gremlin, she'll be serious when in fights and not allow Ben and Gwen to do any mischief if she feels it puts them at too much of a risks. And since she's the omnitrix, it's rather easy to do so which will lead into arguments.
-Guest: Thanks, man. Hopefully one day I'll turn it into a full fledged story. But not for a while as like I said, I don't exactly have a lot of free time these days.
-That does sound pretty cool fanfic, I remember playing advanced warfare back in the day and having fun from it despite all of its problems. What's the fic if you don't mind?
-Pretty cool idea! Maybe one day I'll do something similar like with Philip Graves from the modern warfare reboot, though the OG General Shepard is a pretty good idea too. Agree with you one-hundred percent. As much as I love Glenn Morshower, the one played by Lance Heriksen is leagues better. I'm not going to go too much on the one from the reboot trilogy because if I did I would go on a massive rant, but I was massively disappointed by that version. What a waste of Glenn Morshower's talents as I love nearly everything he's in. Also, considering doing one for Cold War as Perseus or as the titular main character "Bell". Don't get me wrong, I am no communist (American patriot right here) but it was pretty cool getting to play as the bad guy in a call of duty game for once. Plus, I always felt sorry for Bell ngl.
-KingDiamond55: Right on the money with everything you said, dude. Six and Dot would be their primary field operatives with immune humans like Mae supporting them in however way they can with the humans in the bunker helping out in ways that you suggested.
-The bunkers would probably be a mix of the vaults of Fallout and the metro stations from Metro, high tech but with people clinging onto whatever hope they have left with people reminiscing and romanticizing about a past that they never had the chance to experience. The amount of people they house will depend on the size of the bunker and you would have people like S.T.A.L.K.E.R.s venturing out onto the surface for dangerous tasks like scavenging and recon missions. That is what I have in mind.
-That is what I had in mind when writing that snippet. With Mae and the remaining intelligent humans idolizing Six and Dot as pinnacles of human potential and as their best hope for the reclamation of their world. Kind of like John Connor in terminator. Plus being the only human able to take on a ape in a one on one fight without any humans would tend to put one on a pedestal, especially when your world has been taken over by apes.
-Thank you very much! Like I said before, that is what I have in mind. While she is essentially is the omnitrix and is serious when she needs to be, she's not above having a little fun at times.
-Graymar: I am thinking of writing more snippets later down the line.
Teenage Dirtbags (Red vs Blue / slight Halo self insert fanfic)
Summary: Two former veterans and friends end up in their favorite web show and end up on opposite sides in a conflict where the participants were meant to be training dummies for target practice. Surprising, life in blood gulch is not that different than from the regular military, in which that there was an abundance of abject misery and with all the insanity that comes along with it. On one hand you had the man who tried to be the leader but was incompetent and had a superiority complex, and the other who was more reasonable but had his fair share of craziness. At least their newfound teammates were alright. Let's see if they can survive being back in the military.
(Location: Blood Gulch)
"-the way I see it the reds have no idea how many freelancers we got out here." Church briefed to his fellow blue teammates. "So, what I need for you guys to do is to run around through the center of the canyon in black armor, while I sneak around through the back.
"That sounds real good and all, Church." Tucker said. "Just one problem with it, where are we going to find three suits of black armor in the middle of nowhere?"
Church didn't respond to the man in aqua armor verbally, instead turning his visor to the teleporter right behind him. As Tucker turned behind to see what he was looking at, he realized what he was thinking and sagged his shoulders in defeat.
"Aw, come on."
"I got a question." A southern voice filled the air as everyone turned to the source eyes turned on the person wearing dark green armor. The man being known am Imlay that was assigned to be their new recruit alongside Caboose.
"What is it, Imlay?" Church said annoyed.
"Why exactly do we have to be in black armor?"
"Huh?"
"I mean, if we attacked in how we are, wouldn't we have the same result?"
"He's got a point there, Church?" Tucker admitted
"W-Well...i-its because..." He stammered before just giving up. "Look, just trust me on this! Now, get through that portal." He ordered.
"Nah." Imlay waved off.
"What?!"
"Not until you give us a good enough reason why for any of this or why we should even help you save this ex-girlfriend of yours. It sounds to me that your relationship was pretty toxic." He smirked under his helmet as he intentionally trolled the AI that believed he was a ghost.
"Hey! I'm in charge here, Imlay! That means when I give you an order, you damn well better follow!"
"Oh really? What's your rank again?"
"Don't you dare go there..." Church growled but Imlay continued undeterred.
" 'Cause last I heard, you were just a Private First Class, whereas I'm a Specialist. So technically...I got seniority."
"Hey! Need I remind you that you're here as our reinforcements! I'm been here for way longer than you!"
"Yeah, and I can see that you've done a fine job of it. Good job, sir. You must be so proud of yourself right now."
Both Tucker and Caboose stared at the southern man were stunned with the sheer disrespect. If one wasn't military they wouldn't have known what it was, but calling an enlisted men sir, especially a Sergeant or any other senior non-commissioned officer, was the ultimate form of mockery.
Normally, if a lower enlisted said that to their Sergeant, they would have immediately started sweating bullets and began praying to whatever God they believed in for mercy as it would have caused him to go berserk with sheer rage. However, Imlay seemed to stand by what he said as he stared down the cobalt wearing man.
Church went quiet for a moment as he processed what had just happened. After a few seconds, both Tucker and Caboose were treated to the sight of a ghost nearly turning red with rage and blowing a fuse and started screaming at Imlay. With the Specialist not being intimidated in the slightest as the two descended into a screaming match and hurling insults at one another. With poor Caboose and Tucker just staring in from the sidelines.
Meanwhile at red base...
Slaughter watched as her close friend began verbally duking it out with the AI called Alpha, also known as Church. She shook her head and sighed as she deactivated her helmet's built in visor. The Specialist wasn't surprised as she known Imlay heavily disliked incompetent officers and NCOs, especially ones who refused to listen to the men they commanded and always thought they knew better. It was only a matter of time before he came to blows with Church as it was just a recipe for disaster.
For her, she was trying her best to integrate with her new unit. Sarge had decided to give her a chance and she was as good as one can be for the rest of her squadmates, considering that they had just met.
Before arriving at Blood Gulch, Imlay and heard had set up a special comms channel so they can keep in touch with one another, with their last conversation being on board the dropships that dropped them off here. Hopefully, they would get the chance to talk again soon, it was nice to have some sort of familiarity in this crazy situation they had found themselves in.
She stretched her limbs as she made her inside to found the room that counted as the outpost's chow hall. Determined to save herself some snacks before Griff could take it all.
Author's note: So, this fic was inspired by another Halo fanfic called "The Rookies" by TheGuyWhoWroteAStory. If you haven't read it yet, I recommend you guys check it out, as I found it to be fun. That's it for now and I will see you all next time. Take care, guys. And... remember, stay frosty, gents.
