This story came to me when I got a comment on the latest story I uploaded "Soulmates" where the person wrote that "These two really deserve to take a break from saving the world and just bang each other a few times". So I decided to make a story consisting of multiple chapters where Skulduggery and Valkyrie do just that! The next chapter will take place outside on the beach.

The sound of waves crashing against a shore and the rustle of palm fronds moving in the wind could be heard from the open window of the beach house Valkyrie Cain and Skulduggery Pleasant were in. They had arrived here the previous morning and would be spending the next six days in this house with appurtenant private beach. Valkyrie had demanded that she and Skulduggery be given a few days off considering all they had done for the magical society over the past twenty years, which both China and Skulduggery had reluctantly agreed to.

"You didn't think I'd go off all by myself for a whole week, did you? I'd be so bored after just one day with only my own thoughts for company," Valkyrie had told Skulduggery and continued to say when he was about to protest "Besides, you've been talking for a while about how it would have been fun to get away from Dublin for a few days."

Skulduggery had sighed deeply and shook his head. "One week, no more."

Valkyrie had squealed with joy and given him a big hug before she started packing her suitcase. She'd let Skulduggery decide their destination, book the plane tickets, and arrange the accommodation, because she knew that if she did, they'd probably end up in a dingy place in the middle of a bunch of vermin and shady types.

Valkyrie tucked into the last bite of her lunch and then walked away with her dirty plate and silverware to the dishwasher. After clearing away the dishes, she washed her hands under the faucet and dried them clean on the towel that hung on a hook next to the sink. She swept her gaze over her tanned skin and smiled to herself as she saw that her skin had already started to turn a brown shade instead of the cancerous red shade it had been last night after lying in the sun pretty much all afternoon.

She still couldn't quite believe that they had their own beach all to themselves with an appurtenant house! She had thanked Skulduggery an unknown number of times and given him at least as many unknown hugs and even if he didn't want to show it, Valkyrie had seen that he had been delighted that she liked his arrangement.

"You deserve a few days where you do not have to do anything but just relax and focus on nothing else but yourself, Valkyrie," Skulduggery had told her the first time she had thanked him.

Although Valkyrie was very happy with their surroundings, there was one small detail that kept her from fully enjoying the vacation. She and Skulduggery had slept in the same bed during the night, but much to her chagrin Skulduggery hadn't made any advances towards her even though she had lay close to him. Or she was the only one who had slept, since Skulduggery didn't need to sleep as he was a living skeleton, but she knew he'd been meditating during the night because he hadn't been present when she'd woken up in the morning. She had been lying for a while just looking at him and the way the morning sunlight had made his white bones shine.

She had thought he was the most beautiful thing she had ever laid eyes on at that moment and the impulse to kiss him had been great, but she had managed to hold herself back. She didn't know how much Skulduggery perceived when he meditated, and she didn't want to do anything sexual to him against his will.

Instead, she had gotten up and taken a morning shower while the thoughts had swirled around in her head. As far as she could remember, she and Skulduggery had never slept in the same bed before, but if they had spent a night in the same bedroom, Skulduggery had sat on the floor below the bed watching over her. But last night she had asked Skulduggery to sleep with her and he had accepted without protest. He hadn't protested either when she had lay down close to him and put one leg between his two. He had put one arm around her waist and rested his chin against her head and that was how she had fallen asleep.

Valkyrie turned her gaze to Skulduggery where he stood by the open kitchen window. She could tell by the way he had his hands clasped behind his back and his posture that he was thinking about something. "What are you thinking about?" she asked but got no answer.

Valkyrie let out a deep sigh and walked over to Skulduggery. She put her hand on his elbow and asked again "What's on your mind, Skulduggery?"

Skulduggery turned his head towards his partner. "I'm not thinking about anything."

"You are lying."

Skulduggery let out a deep sigh and once again turned his attention to the open window, causing a wrinkle to form between Valkyrie's eyes as she frowned. She waited for a few seconds to see if Skulduggery was going to respond to her answer, but he just continued to stare out through the window. Valkyrie felt irritation bubbling up inside her and she put her hands on her hips before giving Skulduggery an angry look. "Don't you dare ignore me, Skulduggery!"

"I'm not ignoring you, Valkyrie. I just don't feel like talking right now."

"You always want to talk!"

"No, not always."

"Have you ever been silent in the years we've known each other?"

"I have been silent many times."

"Yes, but only when I have asked you to be quiet or when you have known that I need silence around me. If I didn't tell you to shut up now and then, you would be talking constantly."

Skulduggery looked down at Valkyrie and crossed his arms over his chest. Valkyrie saw that her words had annoyed him, but she couldn't care less right now. She hated it when Skulduggery withheld things from her and considering the lack of intimate contact she thought would happen now that they finally had a chance to be completely alone with each other without anyone to disturb them, her mood didn't exactly improve.

"You know I'm right and the only reason you are mad right now is because I'm right. You hate being wrong because it hurts your huge ego." Only now did Valkyrie realize how close they were to each other and that she was only wearing a pair of shorts and a bikini top. She could feel an electric energy flowing between the two of them and wondered if Skulduggery felt it too.

"Valkyrie, think carefully about what you say next…" Skulduggery said in a warning voice.

"Otherwise, what? Are you going to punish me? I'd like to see you try!" Valkyrie took a step closer to Skulduggery and now their faces were only inches apart. "You don't scare me, Skulduggery."

"It's just because you haven't given me any reason to be really mad at you. Yet." Skulduggery said the last word with strong emphasis. Valkyrie could tell the extent of his irritation by the way he stood and the way he clenched his hands tightly around his arms.

What was the matter with him? Sure, Skulduggery had been annoyed with her before, but it was very unusual for him to be so short-tempered and upset over such a small matter. Something must be weighing him down, but what could it be? Valkyrie decided she was going to find out, no matter what it cost her.

She gave Skulduggery a joyless smile. "I thought I couldn't make you angry."

"I am a very patient man when I need to be."

"So you mean you've been lying to me for years?!" The anger that had been bubbling under the surface now rose up and filled Valkyrie's entire body. She felt her fists clench and her body shake with pent-up anger.

"I have never lied to you, Valkyrie. Why would I do that?"

"You have certainly lied to me!"

"No, I haven't." Skulduggery's voice now had a hint of anger, causing Valkyrie to hesitate for a second before continuing.

"Yes, you have! Over the years we've known each other, you've withheld a lot of information from me that would have been good for me to know but which didn't come out until someone else told me or a situation arose that forced you to tell me!"

"It's not lying, Valkyrie. It's called 'withholding information', which you pointed out just now."

"It sure is lying!" Valkyrie yelled, bending forward even further, which resulted in her and Skulduggery now only being inches apart. Valkyrie knew that if Skulduggery had had a human face, she would have been able to feel his hot breath against her own face at this moment.

Skulduggery didn't answer, but just kept looking down at her with his arms still crossed over his chest. He didn't move at all, which only made Valkyrie's frustration and anger grow even more. She grabbed Skulduggery's tie and before she knew what she was about to do, she pressed her lips against Skulduggery's teeth in an aggressive kiss while pushing his back against the wall.

Skulduggery put his arms around Valkyrie's back and pressed her tightly against his body. He pressed his teeth against Valkyrie's lips, which was the closest he could get to kissing her back. He could feel Valkyrie shiver under him and her nipples harden against his chest, making him smile inside. He had known about Valkyrie's true feelings towards him for a while now and now that she finally had dared to take the plunge and dared to show them to him, he was going to reward her by giving her exactly what she wanted.

Valkyrie let her hands wander under Skulduggery's shirt and began caressing his bones as she let her lips explore his teeth, cheekbones, chin, cervical vertebrae and neck. She could feel Skulduggery enjoying what she was doing as he pressed harder against her while his body vibrated and as he let out small sighs of pleasure, turning her on even more. She began to rub against Skulduggery's body, kissing his bones more frantically. Her whole body felt like it was filled with electricity, and she had never wanted anyone as much as she wanted Skulduggery right now.

Skulduggery laughed and let his hands explore Valkyrie's body. "Someone is eager..."

"Shut up for once…" Valkyrie whispered, running her tongue over Skulduggery's cervical vertebrae.

Skulduggery moaned and pressed Valkyrie even harder against his body. He let his hands find their way under her shorts and bikini top. As his fingers encircled her stiff nipple, Valkyrie let out a loud moan. "Yes…"

Skulduggery wrapped his teeth around Valkyrie's ear and gave it a bite while continuing to massage her nipple and one buttock. "Skulduggery…" Valkyrie whispered and began unbuttoning his shirt. "Do not stop…"

"Don't worry, Valkyrie. I have no intention of stopping," Skulduggery said, untying Valkyrie's bikini top. He tossed it to the floor before letting his teeth gently encircle one of Valkyrie's nipples, causing her to moan loudly and arch her entire body backwards.

"God!" Valkyrie ripped off Skulduggery's shirt and let her hands explore along his bones. She caressed where she could and continued to press her warm, needy body against Skulduggery. Skulduggery pulled down Valkyrie's shorts and bikini bottoms which she kicked away when they landed in a pool around her feet. Skulduggery let his bony fingers touch Valkyrie's desire. "Are you ready for me, Valkyrie?" Skulduggery whispered into his partner's ear.

"Yes…" was all Valkyrie got out. She let one hand wrap around Skulduggery's desire and began moving her hand slowly back and forth.

Skulduggery moaned loudly and pressed hard against Valkyrie's naked body. "Oh, God, Valkyrie…"

"I like hearing you moan my name," Valkyrie said with a smile on her face before unbuttoning Skulduggery's pants and pulling them down. She guided Skulduggery to her waiting bosom, and it didn't take many seconds before she felt Skulduggery's sex enveloping her own.

Skulduggery tightened his grip on Valkyrie's hips before starting to move in and out of her. Both moaned loudly at the pleasure their entwined bodies gave them and it wasn't long before they started moving both harder and faster against each other.

"China, I'm a bit busy right now." Valkyrie was too busy enjoying herself to hear what China was saying, but she could tell she was angry.

"No, you will have to put someone else on… ah… that. Valkyrie and I are on… mm… vacation if you have not forgotten?"

Valkyrie nibbled on Skulduggery's neck while letting her hands massage his nipples. She could hear China go silent on the phone and when she started talking again it was with irritation in her voice.

"Skulduggery, I hope you two aren't doing what I suspect you're doing right now."

"We have vacation China and have the right to do exactly what we want, when we want it. As I said, you will have to put someone else on it. I am not going to discuss this any further." Skulduggery hung up before China could answer and turned off the phone so they would not be disturbed any more.

"Where were we, Valkyrie…?"

"I want to remember you fucking me…" Valkyrie whispered into Skulduggery's ear before letting her tongue lick the back of it.

"Valkyrie…" Skulduggery said, laying her down on the kitchen table. He grabbed her hips and started moving fast and hard, making Valkyrie moan loudly. She wrapped her legs around Skulduggery's hips so he could come even deeper inside her, causing both of their pleasures to increase.

It didn't take long before they both started to shake uncontrollably. As they reached their climaxes, Skulduggery let his lips envelop Valkyrie's in a passionate kiss. They moaned out each other's names between the kisses. When their climaxes had subsided, they both breathed heavily and looked into each other's eyes. Valkyrie had a big smile on her face.

"What are you smiling for?" asked Skulduggery.

"I tend to have that effect on people," Skulduggery replied with a smile.

Valkyrie laughed and gave Skulduggery a kiss. "So, when are you ready for round two?"
