"Oh sweetie!" A woman with black hair said. She was worried for Raiden, and seeing him all beaten up wad the trigger for it. "I swear I'm going to show him-" My mother said, in anger. It took both Raiden and his sister to hold her back
"Ow!" Raiden exclaimed, feeling the pain. "C'mon, just a little bit longer." Raiden's sister said. She was patching up Raiden's wounds. A sigh was let out by Yuzuki (Raiden's sister). "Why do you never fight back?" She asked. Raiden looked at her, with souless eyes. "I couldn't even if I wanted to." Raiden replied back. A quirkless person like him couldn't ever do anything to hurt a person with a quirk. Yuzuki just looked at him. "You need to stop interracting with them. The more you get beat up ever day... I fear one day they might..." "Don't worry about it. I'm a man, Yuzuki I will find a way." Raiden interrupted. As Yuzuki finished patching the wounds, Raiden decided to test something out.
It was a beautiful sunset. Most of the people were already at their homes. 'All I have to do is feel that feeling again...' Raiden thought to himself. If he wasn't going crazy back there, and really could run super fast, he had to make sure.
Okay Raiden breathe... In and out... Calm down... And feel the air... Raiden thought to himself. And just like that, he took off.
Raiden did it. He ran super fast, the same speed as back then. Before he even knew it, he had reached his destination.
"I... Have a quirk!" Raiden exclaimed. Even though it wasn't exactly a combat type, he still had awakened his 'quirk'.
Raiden went inside a building, that looked run down and old. As he reached a certain place, he pushed a brick in the wall, as it opened a hidden area. He went in the place, and the opening closed behind him. "Hey! You here?" Raiden asked, but to no answer. But then, sounds of metal clanging were to be heard. "You're finally back, huh." said a boy with black hair. The boy looked the same age as Raiden. "So you're still living in the lab, rich boy" raiden answered back. "So what did you create?" Raiden asked. The boy grinned, as if he was waiting to show off his new gadget. Bruce (The boy), picked something on the floor and showed it to Raiden. "You sure love bats" Raiden told Bruce. The gadget was a gauntlet, no really sure what it does tho.
"You see this?" Bruce asked, having a look of enjoyment. "A gauntlet?" Raiden said, confused. "Not just any gauntlet..." Bruce said as he put it on, and aimed at the wall. After some seconds, a bat shaped shuriken was launched out of the gauntlet, hitting the exact spot Bruce wanted it to. "I call it my Batwing shuriken launcher" Bruce said. Raiden was amazed by how great Bruce was, I mean don't get him wrong, He also can make some things but they wouldn't be as good as Bruce's.
"Amazing." Raiden said. Bruce just smiled at this, happy that his invention made someone happy. Raiden then let out a sigh. "Well I have confession to make..." Raiden said. Bruce looked at him with a confused look. "I think I have a quirk."
"All right, get into position!" Bruce said. He was holding an ipad. Raiden got into position, waiting for the starting word. Okay, Raiden, breathe... In and out... Calm down... And feel the air... Raiden thought to himself. "On your marks... Get ready... Go!" Bruce exclaimed. Raiden them took off, and ran at super fast speeds. By the speed, Bruce was surprised a bit, but not so much. "At this rate... He'll be running 1,700 miles per hour" Bruce thought to himself, without noticing how far Raiden had gone.
After some minutes, Raiden had ran back to the starting point. "So how are the results?" Raiden asked his friend. "You were running as fast as a speeding bullet." Bruce said. Raiden wasn't too surprised by this, considering he hasn't even seen a bullet's speed in action. This made Bruce sigh. "You can clear 20 km in 22.38 seconds, Raiden." Bruce said. This shocked Raiden.
"From what I have seen from movies, having super speed would change your cells... And attributes making you able to run at those speeds without a problem... And you should have accelerated healing..." Bruce mumbled, as he looked at Raiden. "Have you taken a nap after you got these powers?" Bruce asked raiden, which he replied with a nod, indicating a "no". Bruce then went and lifted up Raiden's shirt, and seeing a very fit version of Raiden, which he never was. " Woah." Said Raiden and Bruce, at the same time.
"Let me test something out real quick..." Bruce said, looking at Raiden, who once again had a confused look. Bruce then aimed his arm at Raiden, and a bat shaped shuriken came flying out, heading towards Raiden.
Protagonist POV
We were contemplating on how my new super speed had changed my body. I also had some things I was thinking about, but it was cut when Bruce called me attention. As I looked at him, I saw a shuriken launched at me, but instead of it hitting me... it was going really slow. Not just it, but everything arond me was slow. I looked at all of this surprised. I started to move, and I grabbed the shuriken with ease, as all time started to flow at it's normal pase.
The two teenagers were surprised by the speed of Raiden. The two looked at each other, and started to laugh.
"Next" Bruce said, Raiden looking up. They had planned to test everything out, and this time was his jumping ability. Raiden then crouched, getting ready. He then jumped, creating a shockwave, resulting in him jumping around a skyscraper level. As he was going down, he panicked, not knowing what to do. But as he hit the ground, he felt no pain whatsoever.
"Next" Bruce said. The next test was to see his strength, having put up multiple metal boards. Raiden punched them, with ease, him leaving a fist print on each of them.
"Next!" Bruce said. This time they were testing Raiden's durability, and Bruce was happy that he now could beat someone. Raiden stood still, waiting for the attack. Bruce got into a position. "I'm going to start now." He said, and was replied with by a nod. Bruce then dashed at Raiden, and punched his chest with all his might, only to hear a crack and felt a massive amount of pain in his hand. "Fuck... I think I broke my hand..." Bruce said, but Raiden wasn't paying much attention. He was getting emotional, now having the powers to become a hero. Fighting back tears, he clenched his fist. "C'mon now. You can't be getting emotional now" Said Bruce. Raiden wiped his tears and had determination.
"Next." This time they were testing how far Raiden could throw something. Raiden stood in a circle, and had a metalic ball in his hands. This ball has a tracker inside of it, and they were going to see how far he could throw. As he motioned his arm backwards, and looked in front, he then threw the ball with all his strength creating a shockwave that sent the two to the ground. "Ugh... Roughly... several thousand miles." Bruce said. The two were in shock, knowing that they would never get that ball back.
After the long day of tests, they obviously had to go back to their parents. "One of the most important things we have to think about is what fighting technique you want to pursue" Bruce said, with a serious tone. "Well I do have an idea of what I want."
As the two went their separate ways, they both had goals they wanted to reach. For Raiden, it was to train hard and become a powerful person, so he could become a hero. For Bruce, it was to be a person who could stand next to Raiden as an equal.
